Looked at altcoins and they've started rallying pretty hard all at once, whats the reason for this? Is it because of Bitcoin going sideways for a decent while or some other reason?
About what "Rally" are you speaking about? I see only EOS was pumped for +35% and that's all. Other cryptocurrencies have a very little price movement (1-10%). After such falls, even 10% is like a breath of air. And bitcoin is no longer so popular due to the number of appeared altcoins which are more effective and better in technology. So we wait when the altcoins will break the whole market and become a new lever of influence. I also think that after a while the altoquin will dominate the market, and the bitcoin will go to the bottom plan. The growth we see today is certainly good, but I'm not sure that this growth can continue. The market is a very unpredictable thing, so you need to suffer a bit to make a profit. Then I am sorry to say this that you need to correct your thinking. No kingdom can exist without its king and the king stays always above everyone else. Bitcoin is the crypto king. There is no altcoin on the face of Earth that can take over its throne. I am an admirer of Ethereum, neo and few other potential altcoins but it does not mean that I would go against the facts and reality. Neither should anyone else. The place of bitcoin could be replaced by another coin but the impossible thing to replace all of the impacts that have been made by bitcoin to the majority of the market, people and more. someone said about NEO, and that's another joke coin with pump and dump. anyone beleive that eth will reach 700 in next 30 days . i think last april it will reach 600 and next month it will reach 700
I believe that the value of ethereum will hit into 1000$ in this summer and thinking on how much it will hit before the year end I believe in this coin because of the good potential of it and specially the uses of the ethereum and it is a big help to many ICO to register their token and to have a value there is a lot of good news that you can watch or read. Or even more. We know that ATH of ethereum was $1200 and it looks like $1000 becomes so easy consider about ATH of ethereum was over $1200. In Decentralized Exchange, user can control their own fund. It is fast, effective and anonymous with no personal documents required to apply.
It has higher security because it will prevent hacking and downtime. However, its not for beginners because its not easy to use. And ICO investors treat it as dumping area of coins when it is first listed in a decentralized exchanges. (IDEX, EtherDelta, etc.) That is the reason why some ICO developers locked the tokens before listing in centralized exchange to prevent that from happening.
Centralized exchange means it is centralized. It's easy to use and accessible. (Binance, Coinbase, etc.) However, when you use centralized exchanges you always have a big risk for your funds because of hacking attacks. And a lot of people lost their cryptocurrencies and bitcoins due to this.
Which would you choose?
I could not think the hacking case becomes the main concern need to be considered in the centralized exchange site. The real problem is the centralized exchange sites are controlling your amount and it can change the rules anytime and they can freeze your amount. DEX will always become the best choice to give more control over your own amount. |

is it a gambling habit that you invest more than 10k? most people that are into crypto are working and taking classes at the same time. only to take loans for school to put into crypto. should you invest more than 10-30k dollars worth of crypto? back then people are investing only 1,000 to 5,000 into bitcoin. how serious is crypto. back than i hear people opening 2nd loans from their homes. but now it has quiet down a bit.
No, but it is almost the same as gambling in my opinion but that's a little bit different in my opinion. To invest in the crypto with amounts of loans and that looks so bad in my opinion. because you have needed to pay your loan and crypto based on the speculation and it can't be predicted and that's never become a good thing to do. |

Is there a way around the ICO country restrictions? I've read about using a VPN, but what about KYC? Is the only way to get someone from another country? Or does the US not really care

As per SEC announcement and it would be so risky to participate in the icos, I just know about beetoken but it looks like the crowdsale already passed. KYC to make sure you are not from US and able to participate in the ICO. It may better just waiting for exchange site and then you can buy it. |

Hi all i have a lot of altcoins i invested before the bloody days and now most of then are down lik 50%. Should i sell them with no profit but also no loss or shold i keep them a little more to make profit? what would you do?
You should wait until you will get less on your loss. It will become the right time if you will be deciding to sell your investment. If you are selling it at bottom and after that the price of altcoin will be going up and there is no way for you to recover your loss again. You should not sell them all until it gets recovered on its price at least to minimize you lose. |

Do you think staking/masternodes will reach that scale? Masternodes will reach that scale, just like dash coin and that gives requirement to the everyone interested to become the masternode to have at least 1000 dash coin. In my personal ideal, staking will cost you money to buy those coins and that could be risky if the market is falling down. But with mining, you can actually sell all the hardwares if the market is fallen and the price of hardwares only affects a little bit not like holding coins when you're doing the "Stacking" method.
But that depends on how much power you can produce through your mining rigs, it may better if do any calculation through cryptocompare calculator to get how profit for your mining activities. it looks like a new miners are needed so many mining rigs to get decent power to produce the profit anytime. |

The developer can deliver its promise to the investors by complete every roadmap at the time. That's the primary factor in determining the token that will promote growth for long-term. That means if there are more demands on the token. It will attract more and more asap. I guess altcoin that developing the future blockchain infrastructure like ether, and another platform that can attract the more demand to use its platform will survive. |

What if bounty payments are not paid with the token or coins they are promoting, but are paid by ETH for example. Will it prevent or reduce the price of the token ico to dump?
It seems good, XUC was changing the payment method for the bounty participants by replace the token payment with ethereum payment and This is the result of that https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/exchange-union/The price of XUC still above the ico price and that doesn't give a lot of reaction to the market. It effects all crypto because it is essentially the crypto reserve currency. When there is a substantial rise all coins also seem to rise as well.
The real reason is the ethereum fiat price is pegged with bitcoin. Ethereum goes down if the bitcoin gets decrease on its dollar value. Because the majority of crypto has been used the bitcoin to be a floor price for the majority of altcoins in this time. That means anything that happens with bitcoina and that gives impact to the all ot cryptcurrency except tether. |

We are in another month, and your prediction was failed regarding the result of ethereum classic's price. It looks like this just another random speculation without nothing can be proven. I believe it can still go up, but not this month. It still has a price movement that's like following the price movement of its parent. Well for those of you who invest in this coin, it may still take the same time with investing in Btc/Eth.
It only follows the majority of a trend in the cryptocurrency. You can see the majority of coins are in the red zone right now. ETC is different with ethereum because it has no purpose at all. |

You can compare the crash of 2014 and the correction right now. The market cap has hugely increased since then. This is just normal (and probably healthy) price correction for an asset. It also prove that Bitcoin and generally crypto is not in a bubble. I don't say that the price can reach its peak like in the end of 2017 but market will soon recover
What is your definition of correction vs crash? This is definitely a crash but I agree that recovery will start soon. Before that, we might see the bottom today (if not tomorrow). There is no a lot of difference between correction and crash, but that's only different from the phrase of the word. It doesn't matter how people called it as. But we are at another downtrend again. The bottom will be appearing as soon as possible; It takes a short time to get another bump still after that. There is a lot of tax news to the crypto right now. |

Get out while you can? Man before investing to cryptocurrencies you should learn on how volatile they are. It's not a one day millionaire investment where you can live happily ever after. This is a real market where there are whales, speculators, FUDs and everything that are playing to affect the market prices and charts as well. Buy more if you can but if you can't the pain, hold. The majority of new players are lack of knowledge about crypto. Crypto is a place for those are looking for a new way to invest into the future development progress of the technology. Like you said it's not a market when people are investing it and tomorrow he gets doubled. It looks like we are in the green candle again and it looks good to see if we will see a big bullish again at the end of this year. HODL!!! |
