Since the question has already been answered pretty well, OP, please lock the thread.
Your post is a clear exposition on how to do it yourself but you don't expect a newbie like OP to continue to stay put after their questions have been answered. I guess they've already moved and may not likely locate this thread again to lock it. It now behoove the mods to do the needful by stepping in and locking it as that will keep spam off here.

I am a 47 year old person, about 10 days ago I created a topic, namely: can a 47 year old person invest in bitcoin?
Yes, I remember reading your thread. Ride on your tenacity. and at the same time I have advice for people who are the same age as me or older than me, don't give up investing because of age, because age is God's secret.
Not to burst your bubbles or dampen your spirit but I hate to tell you that what you just experienced could've turned the other way with losses. Don't get carried away with your first win. Crypto is a crazy and unpredictable industry.. I hope you won't take it out on your friend or whoever that introduced you to this forum when the loss comes; for it will surely come. To even state my opinion, I don't think we're in the bull season yet. For all I know, this could even be a bull trap.

Bankster-Fraud probably bribed them to write such a good things about him just as he bribed the American politicians, who are mostly crooks themselves.
That practically answered the question you asked in the second paragraph of your post – on why the media dang his praises. I read about how he doled out cash like a very wealthy philanthropist to politicians, especially the Biden campaign. Show me anyone who doles out cash to politicians and wouldn't do same to the media. Is there any? None. The ilks of Sam Fried (BTW, your new coinage for his name is hilarious and seems to fit well) is the reason this industry continues to get a bad name. Greed won't allow most of the devs and teams do the right thing by keeping it straight and honest.

The point I don't get in all this is why would anyone report a direct inbox message inviting them to participate in a signature campaign or services they're thought to be special and reputable, only for them to turn around and report the sender to get banned 🤷. Humanity is really a joke. This is a case of wishing someone good while they plot your downfall.

Most indicators work well, especially the lagging ones, in trending markets (either rallying up or down) and not when the market is ranging and choppy. A lot of indicators get confused whenever that happens, even traders do get lost too during such time. We find it difficult whenever the market becomes erratic and such a situation is evident during ranging market. At a time like that, it's best to stick to line indicators of pivots and S&R. So, OP you don't have to get frustrated. This too will soon pass and the signals will return with their near accurate predictions once the bear or bull returns..

I voted over 10 and it's surprising I'm still the only one. I guess people that know people don't want to participate in the survey. I guess members are still skeptical voting. I voted over 6 but when I did I was the only one who picked that option. Now, I see two more people have joined me. Perhaps, more people will join you later too. Frankly, I don't see how voting one's option defiles the supposed hold on anyone's privacy provided no one is asking anyone for names.

It's a welcomed development. That payment method has been ongoing among some of my compatriots here who run local businesses in the country. For them, they've recorded surprising patronage which was birthed out of curiosity. Note that there are people who are keen on trying new techs if they're exposed to it. Just be ready to answer a lot of penetrating questions on what you're about to get into. Do you've time for that? Will you not be irritated by their nagging questions and then get stressed out? By the way, get a Bitcoin sign and place in your shop to get more attention. If you're lucky, those who know about Bitcoin already and live in your area will want to flock to your shop more because there's that comradeship among Bitcoiners.

What is your recommendation for a beginner?
For a beginner, I will advise that you avoid any investment on altcoins. Concentrate your investments on Bitcoin alone. This is simply because Bitcoin has come to stay. It may dip badly but it will surely recover unlike alts that can disappear into thin air. Two, don't take any advice from anyone who sends you a PM asking you to invest in a certain business. Don't trust anyone quickly here, verify them first. Just like we've nice guys here, we also have bad guys and scammers too on the internet space. Have it in mind. In addition, always make it a habit to DYOR (Do Your Own Research) before plunging into any investment.

Not that I doubt your story but it's so that the rest of us will know how to escape a similar situation in future.
The mistake the OP did would likely be because he send bitcoin to a wrong address. Sorry, my question was for the OP. I don't want to make assumptions on what happened just like you did there, that was why I directed it to them to answer. I don't want a "maybe" response. OP's response will be saving many a user here the headache of passing through a repeated situation of theirs. So, avail them that space to respond.

The forum's search function simply straight-up sucks for 99% of cases. Just use Google. site:Bitcointalk.org *insert search query here* ~
If the forum's search engine sucks as both of you've identified (I've noticed it too) then it's about time something is done on that. The few times I tried to search stuff on the forum it was herculean getting through. Henceforth, I will start adopting mk4 method. If you're searching the name of a person or a company then it works really well...
That's about the best it does. Just accurate in members search.

Some of you have attended bitcoin conferences and similar meetups with your forum buddies.
Some have even attended wedding ceremonies of others, especially those in my local board. They do regular meetups to unwind. Don't worry, I won't roll out the register. Your names are safe with me 🧐 That makes me wonder: how many people from Bitcointalk do you know in real life? How many do you know by name because of your forum dealings and relationships?
I know quite a handful of them by their real names and many of them are from my local board but I've only met fewer of them in person. Again, there are also some I introduced to this forum. Have you ever wished you could meet someone from the forum, but it never happened? Can you call anyone from this community a friend, and why?
Yes to both questions.

Although I have mine with ref links, with you guys, I'll have to confirm that with the Coinomize team first.
It's awesome to know that Coinomize still gave you an opportunity to run its campaign despite what transpired. I'm happy for you because I believe you're innocent in the whole thing. Keep it up man.

From the picture you've shared, it's three consecutive years of bullish momentum that is followed by a single year of bear rally. However, the time of pick for each "UP" in a year isn't identified. I said this because I know there's no particular year that price was UP throughout the year. Just look at 2019. That was the period of the coronavirus outbreak and we know how price dwindled then before it picked the following year being a Bitcoin halving year. 2023, from your picture, is expected to be UP. For me, I see that "UP" coming in the last quarters of 2023. It's very unlikely that UP will dominate through the year.

I quite agree that the bc1p wallet address (or any other) may not be perfect as there isn't any conception of man that doesn't have its demerit. However, like what user mk4 asked in post three here which hasn't still been answered. Let me mildly reiterate. OP, we still want to know how you lost that four grand. Not that I doubt your story but it's so that the rest of us will know how to escape a similar situation in future.

Some people will take comments you make on a forum very personally and you do not know what they might do to get back at you. We have seen feuds in the forum for years and sometimes they have gotten very personal. Well, I got your drift on that. I've even followed some posts here where threats on life had been made. It's really sad that people go to that length. I think this is where the ignore button should serve its purpose. I don't hesitate to activate it whenever I discover someone is trolling me. I hate what I don't like, as they say jovially.

Just a heads up: There's a chance that some people might've requested a username change for privacy purposes, and such threads kind of defeats the purpose of the name change.
If not for this thread I wouldn't have known that Murat was iwantapony. I know I came across that user's posts a great deal when I started newly here but all of a sudden I couldn't find them again. I concluded the user had stopped posting; not knowing they only changed identity. However, if I may ask what security or privacy reason would make anyone change username when this is just an online forum. We don't even have a physical presence. I don't see any cogent reason for that. If it were for a reason to brand or rebrand their businesses, then we could say yes they've a reason for that. Otherwise, I wouldn't take the privacy or security angle to mean anything. Do people truly get scared online when they haven't done any wrong?

Truth is that every losing trader wants to catch up and recover their losses but that will depend on the mindset adopted. No trader should back out because they're losing. However, it's good to do the chase with a clear head. Otherwise, the trader keeps losing. Those who take a break because they've suffered losses and then come back without reviewing their trading plans and strategies will keep losing. It doesn't matter how long they absent themselves from the market. The market is the master. No matter how angry traders are at their losses, they ought to reckon that they can't take a pound of flesh from the market.

Before you mirror someone else's trade you should first find out the repercussions in it. There's this mischievousness of market markers hunting down stoploss and that is bound to wipe big accounts, definitely copy traders will be affected too. Again, from your $100 you will have to pay certain commission to the trader you're copying their trades if at all you make any profit from it. The best advice will be for you to learn how to trade yourself.

On the hindsight, you can see that last week was a better time to buy than now. Anyone who had been afraid of going in before now will have missed the bus as it seems. In cryptocurrency, if you're scared shit to lose money then the industry isn't for you. Again, OP you've to brace up for enough digging and research if you want to go far in this industry and not perpetually seek the opinions of others on things you ordinarily should find out by yourself.

You may like to move this thread to Exchnages.
I would think, "Reputation" sub-board is more appropriate for it. In the christiandom there's a believe attached to the number "666"
So, you're also clairvoyant like that? That was the same question I asked one of our late members – Becky666, the first time I interacted with him. That number is ominous, for me. In general, this is not the right time to be looking for new exchanges as if you are looking for new gambling sites with faucet. The exchanges are not having a nice time, go with what you trust.
Exactly! Why would anyone who wants to choose an exchange not look at the trust rating of the exchange in the first place? I mean, one can easily find that on coin sites like coingecko and CMC. It's an easy thing to do.
