2121  Other / Meta / Re: Geographic Region Sub-Boards on: February 27, 2013, 07:09:25 AM
There's a meetups forum under Bitcoin Discussion, give that a shot. Doesn't seem active enough for subforums.
2122  Other / Meta / Re: The latest Pro-BFL mod edit at bitcointalk on: February 23, 2013, 08:54:03 PM
That was a little over the line, try to take it down a notch or two. That post probably would've been fine without the first few sentences.

That is a clear example of trolling. You were making ridiculous statements just to cause drama.

I think what this does do is highlight the double standard for posting rules over BFL reps and regular users.

One that has been confirmed by a board mod in no uncertain terms.

The premise was if BFL wants to dig themselves a verbal hole then to allow it.  Considering their position as a merchant I'm fine with that line of thinking.
(To be fair the last time I saw Josh post something truly trollish was awhile ago.)

But do not be surprised to see snap judgments of 'censorship,' being claimed.

Meh, not really BFL specific. Josh is just the most visible one so gets attention, there are lots of good examples of brash, rude and aggressive "business" posters who often go without being moderated because the majority of their posts do contain some information about whatever. Responding to call him a pedo is just childish and unnecessary.

When the BFL situation becomes more clear over the next month or two (4-6 weeks  Roll Eyes) I'll sleep better knowing that everyone had all the information BFL cared to post (rude or not, or "alternate account"), and were able to make their own decisions based on the contents.
2123  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Don't deal with Pipesnake without escrow on: February 21, 2013, 07:32:16 PM
Why do you have such an issue about using escrow ? You seem pretty defensive about it which sets off massive red flags.
I have no problem with escrow.  But who/what holds the escrow is a problem.  I am my own safest escrow as all my contracts have been honored.  My history/feedback clearly shows I am not a scammer.  Why would I trust somebody else in this community where "leaders" have been the biggest scammers of them all?

Having a huge post count, early registration, and some kind of elevated status doesn't mean shit to me.

I was attacked, and labeled a scammer, for merely mentioning I do not want to use escrow nor waste time with 0.0000001 increment bid trolling.  Not to mention the accuser (supposedly) has 2000 shares of his own he's trying to sell:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=145226.0

Yes I'm a hothead but at least an honest hothead.  I was hoping to be done with this community but apparently not yet.

You make a big deal out of not trusting others (and rightfully so), but it seems odd since you turn around and expect others to trust you (and react this way when they don't). I wouldn't trust some dude on the internet with $10k+ based on a rep composed of selling video games either.
Maybe if he offered 3% a week and had a shady name.

I don't see why you should trust anybody either though, I wouldn't on either side of this. You're probably gonna have to find a better way to conduct your transactions if you can't find a go between both parties trust.
2124  Other / Off-topic / Re: The real harm in legalizing weed on: February 19, 2013, 09:31:18 AM
And did you ever consider the taxes you'll have to pay?

Dealers FTW.

Probably be cheaper even with taxes, only reason it costs what it does is because it's illegal.
2125  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer tag - PPT-PR on: February 16, 2013, 09:06:26 AM
Meh, it's not like they're trying to start another business or take anyone's money, I'm sure they'll use yet another account for that.

It's not a bad idea for the PPT ops to have an anon account to post on since Pirate has successfully threatened them in the past in order to get information removed.
2126  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for people to store some of the forum's money on: February 16, 2013, 08:09:45 AM
I have a suggestion that the forum uses some of the money to hire private investigators to go after some of the scammers that use the forum to rip people off. Now thats something I would donate to see.

Could use polls to decide who the next investigation will be.

That really isnt a bad idea. Yes it isnt the forums fault for the scammers but it would be a nice gesture to hire an investigator to track down a popular scammer and get something done

If the victims didn't deem it worthy enough to go after the scammer themselves, why would someone else?
2127  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos - why'd you delete Satoshi's stats? on: February 14, 2013, 08:01:21 PM
Asked and answered already. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=63490.0
It's based on recent posts, of which there are none. There's a link to the timestamps there.

Don't be so paranoid, that can't be good for your health.  Wink
2128  Other / Meta / Re: Moving threads to other less seen areas is creating problems for newcomers on: February 14, 2013, 07:38:51 AM
Unless you don't want a discussion.

I find this to be more likely, since in his thread he was talking about how he and his "friend" are going to open an exchange.
2129  Other / Off-topic / Re: Tonight, I will die on: January 10, 2013, 07:48:03 AM
Didn't Atlas get banned for pulling this shit.  And the police sent to his house?

Yes. In that case though, it was more the straw that broke the camel's back kinda thing, I'd just had enough of him at that point. At least dank keeps to his own threads for the most part, so he doesn't bother me too much yet.
2130  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Dank Bank Deposits - dank soul guarantee - New music Nov 30th on: January 09, 2013, 07:27:39 PM
Not like the coked up US government that steals millions of people's money and imports drug via CIA.

What does that have to do with you being a thief? Someone else doing it doesn't make you any better, you're just dragging yourself down to their level.

Quote
Then the CIA proceeds to attemptedly terrorize the youth that seek progression.  I've only seen people watching me in cars next door to my parents' house, oh, I don't know, 4 times?  Before I ever did anything, this was months ago.

Don't forget about the spy satellites and drones. Do you ever hear a buzzing or ringing noise in your ears when you go to sleep? That's them.

Quote
I made no conscious effort to steal from squall, quite different than murdering someone.  Forgive me, I will make it up to him shortly.

Is this really how you sleep at night? You tell yourself you didn't mean to do it so it's okay? Or are you posting so much because you're desperately trying to justify it to yourself so you don't have to realize what a shitty person you are?

Quote
I'm just puzzled.  Did 120 posts really appear within a day because I owe squall money?  Why are they not just as focused on the criminals that funnel in billions through taxation, while simulataneously devaluing an entire population's wealth via inflation?

Or perhaps, I said something true regarding the government's reign ending and a good bit of frantically judgmental smudge posts is all they can do about it?

Yes that's it, we're govt agents, sent here to post frantically because you've figured us out. You should post more about it here. http://www.abovetopsecret.com/ See you on the other side of the rabbit hole.
2131  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [hotwallet.ca] -- password fix & update on: January 09, 2013, 10:55:38 AM
Hello all loyal hotwallet users!

I've identified and fixed a bug regarding passwords. Accounts which used a password greater than 16 characters, and which were created in 2012 have been locked. If you created an account during that time period with a long password, please e-mail me anonymously with what details you can and I will restore your password manually.

COMING SOON (February & March 2013)
 - Cold storage for a hot wallet: Manual offline storage so that it is impossible to hack your coins. Choose your auth-poison: passwords, yubikeys, or GPG.
 - Reserve system & insured deposits (even if we get hacked, your deposit is guaranteed by Hotwallet.ca)
 - Litecoin/Bitcoin exchange
 - New game: Interactive fiction system. Look for interactive fiction games in February or March 2013!

As always, there are absolutely no fees for the basic service. Why should there be?

Good luck in 2013.
2132  Other / Off-topic / Re: The explanation to everything on: January 09, 2013, 10:00:48 AM
What amazes me is that you all seem to follow me online, 24/7, adding negativity with every post, for months now.  Your lives seemingly revolve around me, they should revolve around you.

I'm not the troll here.  I'm not a thief here.  I unwillingly could not pay squall, just like someone who tried to pay their debts but could not.

I was banking on the inevitable USD collapse which is still destined to occur.

So you're saying you borrowed money, planning on not having to pay it back because of your delusions about the downfall of whatever? That's even worse.
2133  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Dank Bank Deposits - dank soul guarantee - New music Nov 30th on: January 09, 2013, 09:54:29 AM
Squall is like one of the nicest people on the forums... You are just pathetic.
I hope you screw over the wrong person (soon) and they break both your legs.

Imagine what it must be like for your parents, having a pathetic thief for a son.

He is, which is why I'm going to make it up to him.

I guess all of us on earths are pathetic thieves or pathetic killers, whichever you want to call us.  We all steal earth's resources and life.  We all kill at this point, we're equal.

Not everyone, just junkies like you who steal from others for their own greed.
2134  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: http://www.pyramining.com/ - Discussion thread (no advertising here) on: January 09, 2013, 07:28:10 AM
That claim seems pretty dubious and naive. What makes you guys think he actually has asics coming when nobody else does?
2135  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Squall1066 VS Dank on: January 09, 2013, 07:08:29 AM
That soul has some bad karma.
2136  Other / Off-topic / Re: The explanation to everything on: January 09, 2013, 07:04:23 AM
Was I shitting on the homeless when I gave them free food?  Am I shitting on the world by telling them you're god and you can do anything you believe?

Weird perception lapse we have.  Normally I would correlate shitting on someone with a consciously aware effort to instill fear in another human.  For example, coercing humans for taxes, going to war with another group of humans.  Killing other life is what I would call shitting on someone, I seem to be calling for an end of death.
You're shitting on poor squall who fully trusted you to repay him back. Imagine the pains someone might experience when you simply took his cash.
Not intentionally.  I owe squall all I have, when the US economy collapses, I'll give squall all the BTC I have.

All I can say is that all will be corrected shortly.  All parties will be satisfied.
You'll need something more definite and faster then that. Like getting off your arse now to work and pay him back.
With what?  What am I to do?  Rob someone of their wealth?  I will continue the only thing I can do, living a non destructive lifestyle of love and music.

As I said before, the end of time is near, earth will soon blossom an entirely new existence, where love gives you power rather than money.

I refuse to sacrifice my will to the highest bidder if I know what I'm being paid to do is destructive.

You already robbed someone, and how is stealing 700 dollars from someone who trusted you, living a nondestructive lifestyle? You're a piece of shit, and I hope you get what's coming to you.
2137  Other / Off-topic / Re: The explanation to everything on: January 09, 2013, 03:20:14 AM
How much debt is the US government in again?  And I'm a thief because I gave away all my possessions?

Not what I expected to get for giving homeless people food, leaving out my $200 Ibanez guitar in front of a store, electronics in front of best buy, my goalie pads at a sport complex I once competed at.

Yeah, the world would surely be horrible if everyone shared like me.

Just because someone is more of a scumbag than you doesn't make it right, and doesn't mean you aren't still a scumbag.
2138  Other / Off-topic / Re: The explanation to everything on: January 08, 2013, 12:34:09 PM
You're such a hypocrite Dank.

2139  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Dank Bank Deposits - dank soul guarantee - New music Nov 30th on: January 06, 2013, 03:06:11 PM
For what it's worth, I don't think dank borrowed funds intending not to repay them.  I just think he made the mistake which many teenagers (including my own) have made of assuming that financial independence is easy (it isn't, even when you have a stable source of income, let alone when you don't) and basing his budget on unrealistic "best-case" scenarios.

Yeah it reminds me of the same thing a lot of kids do with their first credit card.
How old is Dank, by the way?

He's 18 I believe.
