It's pretty obvious you don't actually read this board if you think this is about OP's reserving the first post for updates. Before this, literally every post on the first page of new threads was 'reserved' or 'post for sale, pools contact me', and half the posts on the following pages. I even covered OPs reserving for updates on the last page, and said it was ok.

Yep, spam.
1283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 79% Of Consumers Would Never Consider Using Alternative Currency Like Bitcoin on: February 07, 2014, 07:02:43 AM
Wow i am surprised 21% of people in the world consider use bitcoins.

This, not long ago it would have been 1%.
1284  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt.Gox SCAM? $38million disappeared. Large sums affected. on: February 07, 2014, 07:01:03 AM
People still use MtGox? Geesh, some never learn.
1285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scammer Matthew N Wright wants to sue Theymos lulz!!! on: February 04, 2014, 09:52:38 PM
Wow, Matthew never ceases to amaze me, he knows full well donations aren't used for mod payments, I used to like him but seeing him lie over and over again is sad.

@BadBear: We already confirmed from Theymos that donations are not used for paying mods. ...

Can't be Phin, no goats.
1287  Other / Meta / Re: It's Time For Theymos To Kill The Alt Section on: February 02, 2014, 02:23:07 PM
Alt coin section of this forum can not be removed. EVER. So you can close this thread.

Sure it can

Code:
mv altcoin/* /dev/null

Whether it should is another question.
1288  Other / Meta / Re: To whom should I complain about the Administrator? TO NO ONE?? on: February 02, 2014, 02:20:12 PM
Ah yes, I thought the posting style looked familiar, I reported him awhile back.

i just don't understand why giveaways are banned, but yet begging disguised as a giveaway is still going strong...649 posts

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=400396.0

Look at the dates on the replies, it's the first time it's been bumped since the new rule.
1290  Other / Meta / Re: {NKA}{BANNED FOR NO REASON} BANNED FOR SUPPORTING ALT COINS.... on: February 02, 2014, 01:44:16 PM
Yeah, you can login, but that's it.

Any updated if admins are considering actions against the entire altcoin subforum?

Haven't heard anything, but I doubt it, I don't see a reason to. There's still spammers but it's a lot easier to identify to source of the problem without so much clutter and deal with it.
1294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Giveaway threads are not allowed on: February 01, 2014, 06:36:10 PM
this is bullshit, it's like to forbid manufacture of food to provide sampling to people.

A more accurate analogy would be a nightclub, with about 100 people all dancing, talking, having a good time, everything is cool. Then about 500 dudes show up pushing their way around, interrupting conversations, yelling at everyone to try their samples. Club owner gets pissed and tells them to take it outside. They can still do it, just not inside the club. Problem solved.

What do you mean by "Technical Analysis"?

I've banned several lately, banned another just yesterday.
1297  Other / Meta / Re: {NKA}{BANNED FOR NO REASON} BANNED FOR SUPPORTING ALT COINS.... on: February 01, 2014, 01:00:39 PM
You were spamming and bumping a bunch of threads, even one that was a week old with no replies, about an update. I deleted a couple to remind you that we are watching and that spam isn't kosher. No problem, you got a little overenthusiastic, it happens. Then you logged on your 1 post sockpuppet to bump the exact same thread that I had just deleted your reply from. Can't take a hint?

I do appreciate you confirming this was your sockpuppet though. I mean, I knew already but always nice to get confirmation. A dev that bumps his own threads with fake compliments. Roll Eyes
1298  Other / Meta / Re: MODS Give Us Back Giveaway Threads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: February 01, 2014, 07:11:02 AM
BTC giveaways are allowed. Most are in games and rounds, along with the other spammy "post here for x" type posts. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=71.0

And before anyone complains about unfairness, yes there is a huge difference between having a child board for giveaways of bitcoin, which this forum was created for and is dedicated to, and making a child board for giveaways of 600+ and counting coins.
1299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitcoinTalk admin contemplating removal of alt-coin sub-forum? on: January 31, 2014, 02:04:33 PM
I just wish people would start posting in the right section, add sub forums but most don't use them unless it gets moved there.
