If you ask someone to leave your topic and they keep posting, they will be banned. PM me in such cases.
I've had that happen numerous times on my thread but the offender keeps coming back. That's for self moderated threads only, other types of threads aren't considered to be owned by the OP. I do know the issues you're referring to though, I'll pm you about it.

I've also banned a dozen of crumbs accounts at least, but think what you want. I don't know what account/thread you're referring to.

Doesn't matter, they can just make a new account and be back to posting in that thread in less than a minute.

Yeah the complaints always seem to be from people who don't report anything, just want to sit on their high horse and complain.

"Anyone but me notice that this stickied thread is authored by a now-known scammer?"
Yep, this is turning into a bad joke.
Mods are telling victims of scammers to read this guide, so I'm here getting educated on the topic and the first thing I notice is that the guide is written by someone with bad, negative trust rating. Am I supposed to believe anything on the thread?
As I said, this is hilarious. This forum is losing all credibility with me.
The only thing dumb here is that the only reason you are distrustful is because he has a negative rating. You should be wary of anything anyone says or promises, regardless of their rating. Though the OP is just a list of steps to take when leaving negative feedback, which is easily verified, so choosing this as your soapbox is kind of silly.

A bit of feedback after i disabled ignored the altcoin forum.
Pathetic wannabes spread their electronic sewage all over this forum. It is leaking to all the forum. In the speculation sections there is topics like:
Will 1.000.000.000.000 myshitcointhatonlymeandmymomknowabout hit one dollar on day?
All over the forum there are people replying with "that is why we need altcoins" or, "mypatheticshitcoin could solve that" problem.
The official website of most coins is a topic on this forum trashed with formated text 1996 style. Heck, I see things like: "uselessfesescoin solves that problem they have been hacked, but they are relaunching the coin and this time is going to be awesome" leaking outside the altcoin forum.
Kill with fire I say. Let us talk bitcoin, we have no use for refined stupidity that originates on young teens sitting on their moms basement.
Yeah it's gotten a lot worse, alt currencies leaked from time to time before but now it's everywhere. The report system is also getting flooded with reports from there as well, which is making it harder to deal with issues on the rest of the forum. But hey, alt currencies has a marketplace now so yay .

I lost all my bitcoins in an unfortunate boating accident.

Well dang, I was going to deny it but no point. Yes I detected your race through the internet and that's why I closed your giveaway thread. You are a special and unique snowflake, completely separate and different from the other hundreds of giveaway threads that have been closed.

I'd like theymos' statement on this rather than speculations. Judging by other threads here, and looking at the help section, it should be technically possible. Heck over at Litecointalk you can do it yourself, and it looks like the same forum software.
He's said before he doesn't do it anymore.

A link to a giveaway elsewhere in your sig is fine.

Pfft, let me know when Altavista adds it.

It has really lowered the barrier to entry for everyone. Unfortunately that includes spammers and trolls. There's one guy in alt currencies who is constantly spamming about his stupid coin, I ban him, remove the thread/endless bumps/whatever and literally 5 minutes later he's back at it on a new account.

Any moderator can confirm this.
No we can't, everyone use caution.

Whether it's abusive or not is more of an intellectual property rights debate so I'll pass on that, and doesn't really factor into it for me. It certainly is spam though, to copy already existing material just to link to it again. No better than referral spam. Banned.

It is sucking up a lot of moderation resources, which along with the newbie restrictions geing removed, is probably affecting the forum negatively as there is only so much to go around.
