2121  Economy / Economics / Re: What should be a good ROI for a startup? on: April 21, 2022, 10:53:45 PM
My views are around 15% per annum but it would take around 6.6 years to earn the initial amount back. Would it be a bad decision?
This is actually a good plan for your return. It's not asking that much and it is achievable but you should be also open to some unusual results at the end of the day or the month.

In business, there's really a wavy journey and you can't be sure with the given timeframe that it will be followed smoothly. The path that you're going to take isn't just a straight one but with a lot of curves and frustrations.

What you need to add is about the possibilities of what if that plan is being prolonged by a situation and you should be okay with that.
2122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto wealth can only be built in bear market on: April 21, 2022, 10:02:47 PM
These days one can't really figure out the market trends due to the uncertainty in world economics and military. This Russia-Ukraine war, Indian finance problem is creating a mini-slump
And that relation is affecting the market and have that reasoning before that it's a really outside market that no one or nothing can influence with.

But we're seeing that the crypto market has been experiencing a relation and connection to world issues even if we don't accept that fact. We're seeing the impact on the market even if we disagree with that reason.
2123  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Copy Trading - experience and tipps on: April 21, 2022, 09:35:05 PM
I think I've tried it before with a platform that allows this feature.

It's not worth it.

Their small loss, you might lose big because you'll never know that whenever you copy someone's trade, there could be a fee that goes to the person you copy.

That's just one reason and you have to look at the factor that you need to rely on yourself rather than relying with the others.
Well, I don’t really know much about it, but I do know little about copy reading to an extent. I know about some platforms such as eToro and others that allows traders to make a copy trading. From what I know, you only pay for the fees to the trader you are copying when the trade is successful, I do not think that you will have to pay for any fees if the trade happens to be a loss.

Although I am not 100% sure about this because I don’t do copy trading so I wouldn’t be able to tell you exactly what is involved in it. And moreover if you choose to rely on yourself in trading, and you happen not to have the skills, it’s still going to be a waste of time for you.
I am not sure about it as well.

About the fees, I can't remember if it's just for the successful trades that the person you copy or you'll pay it entirely the time it starts you copy trades from him.

Regardless of that, you'll never know how it will impact to you but as far as I know, many don't like this feature after experiencing it from the others.
2124  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦉 Owl.games 🦉 Web 3.0 Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - BTC-Metamask-Walletconnect on: April 20, 2022, 10:05:14 PM
I do like the market of the Owl.games but if its not available then I will either play with the casino or stake my Owl tokens until they return the sports betting. The Owl.games have a lot of good casino games from original and from third party casino providers.
That sounds a good plan for you.

If you're keen in waiting for the return of sports betting even though we have no idea, that's okay because you have the choice to stake those owl tokens that you've got.

Do it before those pool expires or you're unable to stake it because it's already full just like what I've seen last time.
2125  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦉 Owl.games 🦉 Web 3.0 Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - BTC-Metamask-Walletconnect on: April 19, 2022, 11:53:09 PM
Any updates about the sports betting? I always like playing in Owl.games sports betting since it has a lot of markets and a lot of sports I can choose from. From Sports to Esports and other tournaments it is sad to know that it was removed from the gambling site.
They have no time frame until they put it back.

Just think of it that right now that they have completely removed it and might be putting it back someday in the future.

But to know when they're going to put it back, nobody knows because there has been an issue that they have seen and they might be figuring it out to solve that and future potential abuse from those players that have ill intentions to owl.

~snip~

I'm surprised by the longevity of their project already in its 15th week I will not be surprised if it reaches its 50th week like all the other well-established casinos, having a long campaign just proved how stable is the casino, BFG stopped its signature campaign we cannot blame them they already get the best results of their campaign, it's the closest competitor of BFG her ein Bitcointalk when it comes to casino based token.

And it can be more than that so don't be surprised.  Grin

You're right, it depends also to the success and commitment that they have. But having a continuous run is giving them more exposure and success not just to the casino but also to the token that they have.

There a lot of utilities that owl has and that's why it's just at the beginning of it.
2128  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can newbie become rich with trading on: April 18, 2022, 11:03:39 PM
Change that mindset first.

Those that I know that wanted to become quickly rich, they got into scam investments and other fake schemes. Because they were rushing and doing unnecessary things to grow their money in the wrong way.

You need to take time and gain knowledge not just in trading but also in how you'll take step by step with your plans. Enjoy the process of trial and error.
2129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some projects are fated to doom? on: April 18, 2022, 10:04:16 PM
Hi fellow Bitcointalknaires, to all this who have been here before me and those who have been investing in crypto for the past years have there been any cases of projects with a good hardworking team that give their best shots and yet the project still fails? Tell me one project that face this same fate.
You can see those that are established and the new to be unknown of their future.

If you want to be sure in investing with those projects then just stay with those established projects so that at least you'll have the confidence that your money is worth to be there.

As for majority of the projects out there, it's been said and the same as your title. They'll be good at the beginning but with its development, there's a proliferation of rug pull these days.

For updates, you just check their twitter account.

https://twitter.com/OWLDAOio

They're usually posting there their updates as well as other good news that's currently happening for owl. With one tweet there, they're number 1 on the babyswap currently.

But let's see if they'll remain on that place up to the end of the month.

No doubts about that, they are one of the gambling sites where user can deposit and earn good APY so I think they will be there for a while and I see that out of the gambling sites they are getting more and more attention in terms of investment in a gambling site.
It's true.

They're gaining the popularity and that cannot be denied.

The marketing that they do through the forum is very effective and I'm happy to see that it's increasing its volume. Because that's one sign that they're doing good.

But I know that it's not yet the maximum and there's more to go for sure.
2131  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it too late to buy? on: April 17, 2022, 11:10:57 PM
It is not late to buy cryptocurrency as there are opportunities been made to buy in. The fact that a particular opportunity is missed is not the reason to stop looking and waiting for opportunities all together! I think we might be going into a long period of price corrections and discovery, one must be determined not to lose opportunity been presented in the market!
Just be ready and make yourself anticipate that to happen.

A long bear market could happen or has already happened.

And when you've seen that it's very much low from the expectation that you've set then start buying at those lowest price that you see. It is what you have to remember if you want to buy, always wait for the possible bottom.

Centralized is good if the project behind it has a good reputation because they have the full capacity to improve immediately there blockchain whenever there's a major issue that needs to be resolve. Look at how slow Ethereum developed just because they can’t upgrade directly there blockchain. The only downside on Solana is there networkmis alwaysmcongestedd despite they claiming for a high tps.
IMO.

Centralized or not or semi centralized, the devs are good in improving the network and capable of doing an upgrade. The perfect example is with ethereum.

Even its consensus, they have the glance to change and improve it just like what has been in the news lately. The switch of PoW to PoS and the other project who has their own blockchains are capable of doing it as well.

Ethereum Consensus is very slow and that's what I want to point out. A single upgrade on Ethereum requires all node to be involved since its all connected so typically developers need to wait for approval on validators unlike Centralized network that only has a single control system to update them all. Ethereum is more secured by being decentralized but it comes with slow development repercussion same with Centralized network Solana that has a high risk of security breaching.

Anyway let's focus more on Owl discussion. It's been a week without update on Owldao, Any news @owlgame?  Cheesy

Don't be too emotional with the altcoins and meme coins, they're really going to put you through hype but eventually will leave you and will be stuck in the midst of it leaving you at great loss.
The most common happened in all newbies out there, they actually lure on the hyped coin knowing that those coins actually exist because of the hype not the utility of the project.  Newbies should know this, don't dive into it easily without proper research, or much better stick to the top cryptocurrencies which give the potential of gaining profit.
Yes.

They've been attracted to the hype and not to the actual which made them too excited and both it while it's on hype. That has made them blind investors.

New investors should not think only about profit in the short term because it's very risky for them, just go for the long-term investment which is considered safe for them.  But at least OP learned from those mistakes and it might this will not happen again, experience is the best teacher as they said.
This is expected.

They are also investors and they're aiming for the profit that they have to make and that's why they're rushing with the potential profit they'll make.

But that's always wrong when someone is in rush for the profit, he's likely to fall.
2134  Economy / Gambling / Re: Watching Our Kids From Something That Could Dangerous To Them on: April 15, 2022, 11:59:03 PM
we need to know how to separate things, one thing is to let children play video games and other games on these smartphones and another very different thing would be to let children play in a casino. they are completely different things. depending on the age it is okay for children to play these smartphone games and video games, but the wrong thing to do is to let children under 18 play in casinos because this is against the law and casino TOS, and this is very clear and all parents know it!
That's their parenting and they should be more delicate about what their children are installing on their smartphones or with the laptops or desktop computers.

It's true that it's okay to allow kids to play games at a regulated time but being free is going to make them curious to discover other things. And if it's about the casino, the casino won't know a user's age until they ask for kyc.

So basically, the kyc free casinos won't do it and the kids would be free to sign up and even steal money from their parents if they're not being monitored.
2135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A blind investor's confession on: April 15, 2022, 11:06:43 PM
Enough is enough and you've already admitted that you're wrong.

Well, the best start is to buy bitcoin while it's dropping and be patient with it. At least by doing that, you won't see it just like the other altcoins that you've bought having an exit scam.

Don't be too emotional with the altcoins and meme coins, they're really going to put you through hype but eventually will leave you and will be stuck in the midst of it leaving you at great loss.
2136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba dump coming? on: April 15, 2022, 10:35:26 PM
Something deep down is telling me that the reason why whales are buying Shina inu for the past months is because of Robinhood listing, how sure are they that Shiba will be listed on Robinhood? Anyway, now I think a bigger Shiba dump is in motion because once the expected gains from this listing isn't pure or strong there will be a massive dump, am I wrong or right.
It is like buying the rumors and selling the news.

And as the market leader has been dumped, there goes shiba and the rest of the market as well. This is anticipated because this is how the market works.

Whoever have bought or seen this coming, I guess all of you are able to sell before it had started to dump after all of that major news about the listing on robinhood.

For experience traders, yeah, they can smell this from a far. Shiba is just a good good to invest in the beginner, before the hype and then waited for it for some inexperienced investors to join the bandwagon.

Even the news that it will be listed on Robinhood, and even on the actual listing itself, there was no moonshot whatsoever, and still continue to dump as to this time.
The little pump that it got from the actual listing was hyped.

But, it didn't worked this time because most of the traders and investors now are aware of the hype that's being set for the actual coin. For the newbies, they're the ones that will be hard to take advantage of those pumps and news that's coming for this coin.

And when they bite, they'll be left behind afterward.
2137  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the price of Bitcoin still in such a state? on: April 15, 2022, 09:54:13 PM
Why is the price of Bitcoin going downhill? I kept saying for two or three months that the marketplace will be better by this time and the price of bitcoin will move forward. But my idea is wrong. Experienced people will share your opinion on why the price of Bitcoin is in such a state.
We've been up for so long.

So the next thing to expect for it is to go down and have itself plummet. That's the usual thing that happens whenever bitcoin stays at the top price for so long.

Check out the news as they also have a connection sometimes to bitcoin's current market. Having its own nature of being volatile, if you're good at analysis, you'll figure it out.

2139  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk - Hinted that it would be nice if Twitter Ads be paid in Bitcoin on: April 14, 2022, 10:53:32 PM
Generally, looking at that acceptance most companies accept bitcoin. There will be surely a great effect on the market for which the demand will go up.

There's also the breaking news a few hours ago that he has asked to buy shares of Twitter or entirely the company itself for $42B. And I guess that's the hint from the few days of what he said about accepting bitcoin.

Well, if Jack and their colleagues agreed. Will he add the option quickly?
