2141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: February 15, 2019, 04:08:03 AM
Great game for the Minnesota Timberwolves yesterday, they have actually defeated the Houston Rockets 121 - 111.  Even without two of their starters (Wiggins and ROCO) their replacement work well for them especially Okogie who contributed mostly in defense. I like what I am seeing on him he could really be the starter for the team compared to Andrew Wiggins.
2142  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dangerous Links on This Forum? on: February 14, 2019, 05:41:18 PM
Now i notice underneath a lot of each poster's post, there is like a link/ad that is from this site.  Has anyone clicked on those links and if so, are those safe?
I alway click the direct links for articles, news, or guides other members provide here in the forum. But for links containing things to download I always search it in Google instead of downloading it directly from the links being provided by members, at least at this way I know that what I am downloading came from the official link of the source website.

Does anyone here use a separate computer while visiting this forum because well you could accidentally misclick on someone's link or any link on this forum
Is there a need for that? I don't see any point of having another device because you are too afraid of visiting links being shown in the forum. For one just by clicking links directly won't  get you in trouble for anything it's what you download from it that's what gets you so having a good anti-virus as well as a anti-spyware software is a good trick to protect your pc from any kind of trojan and malware.
2143  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcoin Modern Vision - SCAM PROJECT on: February 14, 2019, 04:57:00 PM
Just an update after I sent my messages in their Telegram channel regarding their fake team identity I got blocked/ kicked out of the channel instantly. I don't know what happened next but they may have deleted my message after I got kicked out of the channel. The good news is their channel consists of mainly fake users saying mostly "Hi", there is really no conversation going in the channel so the number of online we are seeing (700+ members) consist mostly of fake accounts.
2144  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTCsmash.io - TRICKING PEOPLE WITH THEIR TOS on: February 14, 2019, 10:45:28 AM
None of credits, balances or other rewards on the Website have real monetary value. User balances do not place the Website under an obligation and can be changed or nullified by the Website at any time and without prior notice.
They do have a get out of jail card under their Terms of Service. They literally said that they have no obligation to pay their users, so even if a player reach that ridiculous threshold they still have the final say whether or not the player will receive the BTC. So if I were you I won't be wasting my time in this kind of faucet as they don't guarantee any kind of obligation to pay back their customer.
2145  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: February 14, 2019, 09:34:04 AM
The FotuneJack.com has run its campaign in the forum for long months (more than one year).
Therefore, the FortuneJack has caught so many attention outside the topic.
More investors to join later obviously if the campaign of FortuneJack.com will perform good.
FortuneJack has done many other things for their promotions besides their campaign here in the forum. They have a blog site to keep you updated on many things other than gambling as well as banner ads for their players to get referrals so they are getting other players not only from this forum. They also have promotions and contest within their players just like now which they have a promotion for the current Champions League in Football so I guarantee you not all players are coming from Bitcointalk
2146  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-13] QuadrigaCX Users Under The Risk Of Never Getting Their Money Back on: February 14, 2019, 08:42:02 AM
I strongly believe this was all an inside job and people will be apart from their hard earned coins for a long time just like mt.gox
Could you be more specific with what you are saying? Their CEO did die and what they are saying is that their CEO is the only one who have access in their cold wallets. So you are saying is that the Gerald Cotten's death is just a cover up so that the company can steal their clients' crypto? I know you have been seeing news and rumors like Cotten's death certificate is falsified and that he might still be alive, but if its a cover up they don't want authorities to be right under their noses sniffing around which is the case right now.
2147  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: filing tax on hodling on: February 13, 2019, 08:56:22 PM
Also in my country the government do not know I have bitcoin
until I convert a substantial amount back into FIAT then they
will want 33% tax!
That is exactly, my idea. As long as you're not converting it to fiat, there's no way the government can tax it. But I'm not stateside so it maybe some complication as far as the OP goes. There have been a lot of good post to help the OP but all I can say is that it's better to seek professional because it may sound easy, but there might be some technicalities that only a professional could answer.
For now if you are keeping it in a non 3rd party wallet like Electrum the government still has no way of finding how much crypto you are really holding. But if you are holding most of your crypto in an exchange chances are the government already know how much you are holding. From what I read some exchanges/wallets like Coinbase are ordered to randomly submit their clients' financial report for AML compliance already. So hiding your crypto in an exchange is really not the best option.

I am not planning on telling them that I have bitcoin and if I can
help it im not planning on paying tax.
I just don't get the point why people here still thinks that paying taxes is really not their obligation to their country. So could you tell me why you don't plan on paying your tax to your government?
2148  Other / Meta / Re: [Bug forum?] Name: Giratina, Merit: -1926 on: February 13, 2019, 07:48:13 PM
The number would've corrected itself the next time this user received any merit.
~snip~
Upon checking the account on BPIP it showed up that he did received merits from this post so he is technically a Jr. Member by that point. So if we followed what theymos said maybe sending him a merit would may fix also fix his rank, which I'm not willing to do. Nothing in the account's post history is meritable for me so I am not willing to test my theory out.
2149  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-02-13] QuadrigaCX Users Under The Risk Of Never Getting Their Money Back on: February 13, 2019, 07:00:59 PM

The sad thing about this is he might not be the only one who did this method on evading ridiculous conversion fees via crypto exchanges. This has been done by a lot of people already but unfortunately for this man he did the method at the wrong time. Sad to see hardworking people like him losing all his savings in this kind of way. But there is hope, earlier this month QuadrigaCX issued a statement saying that they will figure things out on how they will handle their debt obligation to there customers, and that is something Tong Zhou can hope on even just a little bit.
2150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on ESPN 1: Ngannou vs Velasquez Prediction and Info Thread on: February 12, 2019, 06:29:40 PM
Let's not forget that Francis Ngannou knock the hell out of Alistair Overeem's chin with his uppercut in the first two minutes of the first round. All of his wins are either via KO or submission during the first or second round and all his losses came from UDs which means that this guy is really a hunter and he would do whatever is takes to finish the fight early. I don't think that Cain Velasquez could handle him pretty well specially that he is coming out from retirement,  we really don't know what his fight conditions are if he has the stamina to keep up with Ngannou.
2151  Economy / Reputation / Re: What happen if anyone endorse Cloudbet? on: February 12, 2019, 05:40:17 PM
Isn't it time for us to inform everyone (if needed then PM) and ask them to stop promoting/endorsing cloudbet? I have seen in the past when we smell anything wrong then DTs stepped forward and warned the users. If they denied then they tagged them.
Giving them a warning would do, campaign participants are not even part of the main operation of the gambling site they are promoting. Their only job here is to promote the gambling site and they are not the ones who are handling the payments of the gamblers, so tagging them right away because they are just wearing their signature would only ruin their personal reputation here in the forum. If you would really like to be notice I think tagging them first is ideal to get their attention on removing their signature, if they proceed on removing their sig code without any complaints then you can remove your tag when things clear out.
2152  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think the size of the FOMO going to be when it starts? on: February 12, 2019, 05:05:15 PM
We have recently seen Bitcoin go up from 3,200$ to 4,200$ which is around a 1,000$ price increase during December 17-25 last year with this bear market but still it wasn't enough to make a reversal so obviously we might be looking for a price increase greater than 1,000$ to trigger a FOMO in the market. I must say that going back above the 6,000$ range would be enough to raise the attention back to the market again, going back up above where we consolidated last time would be a big turn around for Bitcoin.
2153  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcoin Modern Vision - SCAM PROJECT on: February 12, 2019, 03:26:00 PM
I can confirm that BitcoinMV is nowhere to be found in the forum except for the thread you created I have searched both in Google as well as the search bar of BCT but no ANN threads showed up. Even in their website they have no links in Bitcointalk. It looks like to me their main gateway for interaction is there telegram group which has a worrying amount of members, they currently have 32,562 members with 776 members online which shows that the channel is very active. I'll try to warn them in the channel as well, I hope other members here will do the same thing.

Edit
Links are not allowed in their channel  Angry
2154  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: LaneAxis - SCAM - Didn't pay Bounty and closed telegram group on: February 11, 2019, 07:44:06 PM
Still hoping that they would respond regarding with the matter however LaneAxis' account has been offline for a long time now and the campaign manager was last active five days ago so it might take a while for someone to respond with the case, the worst case scenario is both of them running away with all your stolen effort as well as their investors money which seems to be the case right now, I'm sorry man you are not the only victim here and unless we caught one of those people involve we won't see any progress happening.
2155  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Aural version of post to help non-English speaker. on: February 11, 2019, 06:08:32 PM
My accent is typical Eastern European, and I have no idea how to get rid of it. Probably main problem that I just don't speak in English often and this is why it's difficult for me to improve my pronunciation.
Well for the Asian region and I think I speak for almost everyone is we are having a more difficult time pronouncing English words that have the letters Ls and Rs (and in some occasions Ws) and most of the times we interchange them, I have read why and it is about our tongue placement when pronouncing the words which is caused by us speaking in our native language. But I have to tell speaking in English works even reading a book or online article during your past time can have a big improvement with your pronunciation, even having your mind set in speaking in English helps.
2156  Economy / Economics / Re: PSEC Released New Regulatory Framework For DATOs on: February 11, 2019, 04:26:07 PM

That's strange the link you also have provided isn't working anymore, did news sources retracted their articles about the topic because they have missed some points? Here are some other news websites who's articles about the topic is still working, cryptoslate and digitalnewsasia.

I have seen there news before and I am glad that the whole nation started working on a whole new regulation, before it was only the province of Cagayan who has set their standards on becoming one of the tech crypto hubs in the Philippines. Now it is shaping to be the whole country to become a attractive country for crypto related businesses to start.

Edit
I know now the problem, the link you have contains what seems to me is a smiley emoticon at the end of it. The article in cointelegraph is still working.
2157  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: African kids with AKs and 663 million bucks. Scam STO Bolton Coin on: February 11, 2019, 03:23:31 PM
Before you come up with accussations of that kind of gravity you should at least be able to get basics of the company right that you are covering. Instead you simply throw a bunch of similiar sounding but not related companies together and make connections when there are none. This whole things appears to be fabricated. May I ask how much time did you spend on this review and more importantly, has this been a paid review? That would explain a lot here.
Boy did you even read the other posts before you even come up with this statement? What more could you ask for aside from them using a fake address which have been used by other "companies" as well as having unbelievably high payouts? Aside from that they haven't shown any proof that they have physical mining hardware in any part of their marketing, does that not feel strange to you? If it isn't strange to you, you among all people would be likely be a frequent victim of this kinds of scams.
2158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 11, 2019, 01:07:59 PM
<snip>
He was actually quite good last night. Also received a 7/10 rating by the Italian newspapers. Scored a goal and could have scored another header later on but was a bit unlucky. Glad to see him make a positive contribution.
Juventus needs to get Chiellini and Bonucci back asap, watching Caceres movement with the ball is like Russian Roulette.
He played great today even though he got subbed out around the 60th minute for Rodrigo Bentancur but he showed his value when pick off that shot from Ronaldo to score the only goal in the first half, sadly games like this one would be his typical appearance for the team he is not expected to play the whole game as he showed fatigue early on.

Speaking on other teams A.C. Milan is doing good with their new forward. Piatek showed doubters (like me) that Milan was right to buy him at a hefty price. He only played 3 games so far yet he has scored for them 4 goals now including 1 in their latest game against Cagliari which they finished 3 goals to nil. Great performance for the team and I just wish that they will improve for the next season.
2159  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-2-9]Italy Plans Launching National Strategy on Blockchain & AI by March on: February 10, 2019, 07:29:36 PM
According to reports from Italy, the country’s legislators have approved a bill which has been described as Rome’s first attempt to legally regulate certain aspects of the industry built around cryptocurrencies. As we reported back in January when it was introduced, the bill creates legal definitions for terms associated with the crypto sector such as “smart contract” and “distributed ledger technology” and mandates that the country’s Agenzia per l’Italia Digitale must create specific technical standards these technologies will be expected to meet within a certain time period.
Seen the latest news with regards to cryptocurrency regulation in Italy which is related to this. Although they haven't specified what the bill contains yet with them seeking advice from their Ministy of Economic Development and not their Central Bank (unlike India) this only gives us a clue that the bill will be in favor for the cryptocurrencies, I'm surprised that it took them almost a year just to start the bill which has been planned since March of last year nevertheless the Italian government's views towards cryptocurrency has been good so far so I wouldn't see any drastic change aside from taxes and regulation towards crypto related companies.
2160  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion] Disable the delete or edit rights on OP's page of OP authors on: February 10, 2019, 06:32:11 PM
Why affect everyone when you can just archive the whole thread of the project? Just copying the url of the page and pasting it on archive.is will solve the trick. I like your idea on preventing scam projects erasing their tracks but your way would only affect everyone including OPs who just made mistakes on their post or who just simply want to update their post. At least just by archiving it, you get yourself a permanent copy you can show to everyone which no one can edit.
