2161  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: (Group reporting) of fake mobile apps which can/will steal your coins. on: November 01, 2019, 01:39:27 PM
A fake app of POOCOIN exists in google playstore. It could be a phishing app for crypto traders to steal wallet information, then use that information to hack their wallets. Poocoin has not yet launched any such app, as they have not announced any official information in this regard. So this is a fake phishing app created by scammers just to hack the wallet of crypto users.

App Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.correct.correctnumber

@LoyceV, can you please drop a list of accounts for this thread > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5196005.0

It will be a short one for sure but.. we  need to keep an eye on it for a while.. I made a few reports but I don't want to scare the bots and we need evidence Wink so we can catch them all Tongue
2163  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Trezor one Passphrase question. on: November 01, 2019, 09:16:23 AM
Is there a way to see if I have enabled the passphrase for my trezor one hw wallet?

I'm planning to update my firmware and I will test the seed first but couldn't find info If I can test the passphrase as well.

I know the passphrase but I'm not sure if I have enabled it when I set it up.
2164  Other / Meta / Re: Impeachment: Is Greg Maxwell the best choice for being a mod in bitcointalk? on: November 01, 2019, 08:43:57 AM
Just a quick and short entry here.

It's just a forum and Theymos and Cyrus own it, they decide who will be a moderator, so basically there are no public ellections, you can't impeach anyone, the only way is to convince the admins that he is on the wrong way, but I really doubt they will bite it.

~
thanks iasenko,
by change this account problem this message is proved?

I'm not 100% sure what exactly you are asking but I'll answer what I presume you are worried about.
If your account get compromised or you somehow loose access to it, by signing an message from this address you staked now,you will prove that you are the original owner of the account, and you have a chance to recover it, following the recovery procedures.
2166  Other / Meta / Re: Stake your Bitcoin address here on: November 01, 2019, 07:37:58 AM
Electrum 3.3.8 verify me.

Code:
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
This is Subbir from bitcointalk.org and today is 01.11.2019

-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNATURE-----

2167  Other / Meta / Re: [LIST]Open Merit Source Applications,waiting list. on: November 01, 2019, 07:24:15 AM
Thanks @Vispilio and @iasenko.
Yes this is my Merit source application:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5183702.0

Added, I see you edited your subject, now it look more like application Smiley

You can remove me from the list, I don't want to be a merit source any longer and as such I did not proceed with my application thread (will archive it now, thanks).

No problem, removed.

Suggestions:
1.Sort by date of applications
2.Collection of 10 Posts if achieved or not. (Ex. Hhampuz haven't started a single thing on his own application until now, so 10 posts has not been filled yet)

Its also necessary IMO. That's all.

🤔🤨 I thought Hhampuz, pugman and bitmover was already a Source?...

Sorted by date of application. If I see another application (like Hhampuz's one) I will add the additional column with status.

OP updated.
2168  Other / Meta / Re: You have received a total of 716 merits. on: October 31, 2019, 11:42:08 PM
I've posted this long ago in another thread, but applies for here as well

Quote
Instead of having so many different coins under the name isn't it better just to add the earned merit to the airdropped like :

Merit: 10+256

Or total merit/earned merit - this will save more space Wink

Merit: 266/256

Another thought is to replace the airdropped merit with a symbol. Like platinum coin for 1000, golden for 500, silver for 250 etc.
2169  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 🎃 Bitcoin Collectible Pumpkin Carving Contest -Halloween Time Fun 🎃 on: October 31, 2019, 06:46:34 PM
We have no pumpkins here this year that's why I made a little variation.
2170  Other / Meta / Re: [LIST]Open Merit Source Applications,waiting list. on: October 31, 2019, 02:40:46 PM
I saw a request from this user. Coolcryptovator
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5043413.0
I think the list is for Merit source applications that have not yet been approved by Theymos (open applications). AFAIK, @Coolcryptovator is now a merit source.
I stand to be corrected thou
According to the link given by suchmoon, he is already a MS> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5183702.0

I believe Kalemder from the Turkish section also submitted a merit source application (he listed many valuable messages from the local boards

which later led to a source application after suggestions by the community)...

Are you talking about this post : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5183702.msg52424104#msg52424104
I wend trough it but I didn't find really an application or request to theymos, althow it can be used as one for sure.
2171  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: do you think most people reads on the forum?? on: October 31, 2019, 02:15:45 PM
You have the "report to the mod" link in the bottom right corner of every post.
Just use it when you see something spammy. We are keeping eye on the forum, don't worry. It's a matter of time such 0-value posts to be deleted Smiley

A good place to start looking for those is here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;patrol

2172  Other / Meta / Re: [LIST]Open Merit Source Applications,waiting list. on: October 31, 2019, 02:01:43 PM
I know, I know I have no doubt about that.
It's just me being petulant (someone else would say anal) on the details.

ROFL...

You can add ~

Thanks, those were quite old and were not bumped lately, and the status was unknowed. But anyway I added them to the list.

Thanks guys for helping.

Quickseller and tk808 are already merit sources: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4523027.0

OK, taking them out of the list Smiley
2173  Other / Meta / Re: [LIST]Open Merit Source Applications,waiting list. on: October 31, 2019, 01:44:05 PM
I know also the following users applied:
~

I've updated it, thanks. No need to bother with the format, It's very easy for me to add new ones. All I need is the username. I can find the rest Smiley
2174  Other / Meta / [LIST]Open Merit Source Applications,waiting list. on: October 31, 2019, 01:27:16 PM
Disclaimer: The is only informative list and contains active applications of users disregarding their, behavior, reputation, trust feedback, trust status. etc. I do not take responsibility if any of them turns out to be an abuser

Since the old topic was not updated for more than a year, it's time to make an updated lists of the open MS applications.

Here is mine:

Code:
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
This is btctalkr from bitcointalk.org and today is 31.10.2019
Profile link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile

-----END BITCOIN SIGNATURE-----

Now it's verified with brainwallet and Core wallet, after altering a bit the message, removing some spaces.
You didn't post correct link to your profile url, but this doesn't really matter.  Archived here.
2177  Other / Meta / Re: Identify Bitcointalk account? on: October 30, 2019, 10:00:53 PM
Is there a way to locate and identify specific Bitcointalk profile with this information from profile:

- Activity
- Merit
- Posts
- Trust
- personal text

If there is a way please tell me how.

I want to tag those accounts as one member is farming and selling them?

Should be possible, you can check Vod's bpip.org and list the top 1000 users based on received merit or activity or post count, if those accounts are out of the top 1000 lists there are other people scraping forum data. If you still need help just send me pm I'll try to help.

To the OP, why do you have the chipmixer onion link in your signature which should be opposing mixers?
Free advertisement, or it is suppose to link the "narcotraffic" with this particular mixer?
I don't get it sorry.
