2161  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Bitcoin EU Convention 2013 (Amsterdam, Netherlands September 26th~28th) on: September 25, 2013, 09:32:49 PM
Just out of curiosity, am i the only one that decided to book today (because i'm too lazy) and was sent to "Bastion Deluxe Hotel Amsterdam Airport" from booking.com?

It would be nice if there was some other bitcoiner around there Smiley
2162  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KnC 1st Day Pick-ups - Stockholm. Anyone available with at v.short notice?? on: September 24, 2013, 06:05:01 PM
Are you suggesting that even without any proof of any working thing of any kind you are starting to think deeply about this first day pickup problem?
2163  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [ANN] Exclusive Extended HashFast Sierra Sale (Friday Deadline) on: September 24, 2013, 05:58:49 PM
Your title is just a little misleading.
2164  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: September 24, 2013, 07:49:42 AM
Yes, i agree with that. Probably even more than 50x. But one thing is to achieve that in 2 years, another is to have that in 6 months. If the chips were really that efficient the boost on sales would be huge. (and the price would go down dramatically really fast)
2165  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: September 24, 2013, 07:41:39 AM
I think that if either cointerra or hashfast where hoping to get 10Gh with a Watt, they would have told us in each way they could.
If they can really achieve 10Gh with a Watt, my investment will be really bad and current prices are really 50x what they will be 6 months from now, meaning, that difficulty will go up another 50x in the next 6 months.
2166  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: September 23, 2013, 11:26:15 PM
Your site says "Shipments anticipated to begin: November 30, in order of purchase"

So if we ordered a batch 1 babyjet, will the upgraded babyjet ship before November 30th?
They will ship you the babyjet with a single chip before that (hopefully with an already updated ps/cooling), once that they have the second batch chips in hand, they would ship you the chips.
2167  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: September 23, 2013, 10:08:54 PM
If the "first batch baby jet special offer" is a second chip to have on the baby jet (since that the motherboard can house 2), for a price of like 1/4th of the baby jet price, i would like to know it now, since that i suppose i will need to pay in like 1 day if this offer comes out.

So, if i need to send a significative amount of money to the bitcoin ecosystem, i would like to know it in advance.

(if someone from hashfast wants to reply to this privately, my ticket number is 449. Thanks.)

we are unable to cancel your current order as we have already ordered the hardware that will be required to assemble your unit.
Sounds a lot like BFL to me...
Especially since that it's the same hardware used with batch 2 baby jets... Anyway, i'm still confident.

2170  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: tldr: Why isn't KNC able to compete with *55nm bitfury's W/GH? on: September 21, 2013, 08:50:18 PM
bitfury designed their own transistors. Just clarifying.

Correct, I since read that elsewhere. Even I cant always be right Smiley
I would like to know more about bitfury (and about how one makes it's own transistor, or how smart must one be to go from nothing to best chip in bitcoin in 5 years). What threads can i read? Just his posts here on the forum?

Thanks.

I think that a lot of money is going into the bitcoin ecosystem, only not from exchanges, but in form of hardware investment.
