1661  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast launches sales of the Baby Jet on: December 13, 2013, 10:15:54 PM

Am I the only one to find this HF bragging about speed increase insulting to intelligence? @HF_CL: It is totally irrelevant if chip hashes at 300, 500 or 700 GHs. It will mine >50% of it's lifetime returns in the first 2 months or less of it's total mining life. The position of these 2 months on the timescale determine the total value of the product, so the only important thing for all of us about your product is it's shipping date. Correction: other important thing is shipping speed, since it can also mess with a few days of mining. Hashing speed is totally irrelevant, since 25% increase is worthless because it is negatively compensated at least that much when difficulty increases >25% every 11 days. I know there's no way you don't understand these simple facts, so yours "Wov, 550GHs!" makes me really offended. Do you really think you are dealing with idiots?

No, you are not. Let me crosspost your post so that the useless marketing bs perpetrated by our community liaison has no effect on this thread as well.

Certo, certo. "CED" poi.
Mi eclisso, buon investimento.

Ti danno un rack intero perchè questo amperaggio di solito è utilizzato da un rack intero. No way che l'offerta è vera.

You are right about that, sorry. (that's finally a good news).
Anyway, the motherboards are coming for free, included with the chip (there is an official update on that).
1667  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 13, 2013, 11:55:40 AM
I really don't remember anything about it in the ToS, sorry. However there is the first version of the ToS online, i'm gonna look for it...
1668  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 13, 2013, 11:05:26 AM
They will never voluntarily refund in BTC. It would make no sense as a company;

^^ just had some fun with latex.

Look, an italian doing something great. Glad to read it.
1670  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 13, 2013, 10:28:36 AM
500GH @ 600W at the wall for now.
1671  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 13, 2013, 10:18:47 AM
HashFast fully anticipates meeting our stated guaranteed delivery date of Dec 31.   Otherwise, refunds will be issued.
Just tell me, exactly, where this date was for the first half of batch 1 customers, for the ones that ordered before the 15th of August? It was not on the website (that __promised__ a delivery for the end of October); it was not in the ToS, where it was added later. So, how does exactly HF stands to its statements?

500GH is an increase of 25% (not "20%") over the initial 400GH spec.  And there may still be additional capacity yet to be unleashed!
Yes, you are right. I feel an idiot because i knew that when i wrote the post, but i decided to use the number i used in the pages before, just for the sake of continuity, and you exploited that error. Thanks.
Anyway, let it be 50%+, it's irrelevant. The only thing that matters is the MPP, and i acknowledge that you recognise it in your next line;

HashFast already paid for Batch 1's MPP chips and they are being manufactured at TSMC, the world's most advanced wafer fabrication plant. You may rest assured Batch 1 customers will receive their extra MPP miniboards as soon as possible.
If the "anticipated" delivery date for the MPP is "after" the 31 of Jan, as you certainly understand, the MPP would make less than the overclocked JB. In other words, useless.

As always, thanks for your answer.
1672  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 13, 2013, 10:03:58 AM
We're able to change BJ's to Sierras?
NO.
But if you have more than several BJ and you prayed john 2 months ago (as i did) it could change the __box of fan__ model type from BJ to Sierra.
1673  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 13, 2013, 09:48:47 AM
btw, if they get more hashing power per chip, they will ship you a lower amount of chips in the MPP, so don't expect any gift there)
Even if they get to 1 TH per chip (unlikely), and you have the device in hand on December 20th (unlikely), and with modest 10% difficulty adjustments until the end of January (unlikely), you won't ROI by end of January, given 4 times the initial delivery power.
Sorry, but is it related to what i was saying? I said that since that the MPP is based on GH and not chips, they would ship a lower amount of chips to obtain the promised performance, they have no reason to ship us 4 board per BJ. They will ship us 3.
1674  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 13, 2013, 09:45:37 AM
Dear Community Liaison, as people kindly explained you, we don't know what to do with your 20% speed increase of a product that was priced for a delivery 2 months ago (aka, in a 5 times more friendly mining ecosystem).

Think about shipping the MPP as soon as possible and if you want to do something useful that you can actually do, ask them to answer my case, (#449), that with legit questions is still unanswered after a week.

@senseless, sure.

1675  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 13, 2013, 09:34:47 AM
Idiots will still buy from them, and they are probably selling in the order of millions per week - they really don't care about compensating batch 1 convestors to have more sales; they have plenty already.
1676  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 13, 2013, 12:15:53 AM
20% more hashing power vs. almost one order of magnitude increase of the initial difficulty.
Yes, sure, it's amazing.

(btw, if they get more hashing power per chip, they will ship you a lower amount of chips in the MPP, so don't expect any gift there)
1677  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 12, 2013, 02:27:34 PM
That means miners between the 25 to 31 of December. Just to screw batch 1 a little bit more.
1678  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 12, 2013, 01:25:50 PM
Are you asking me if i hedged against my HF investment to make it safer? No, i didn't. I fully believed the statements from HF and Obliquity, i was blinded, and idiot.
An acceptable delay would have been any amount of time, proven that the delay was not created at hoc and it was a real world issue. I wouldn't have even complained in that case, problems happens.

And we all know that it wasn't the case.
1679  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 12, 2013, 01:18:17 PM
Good catch, anyone can read the same chip that is above so that we know what it is for?
Anyway my guess is that the USB connectors are the one among those two chips (the on that is there and the missing one), 2 usb connectors for chaining the devices together. No idea of why they didn't soldered a connector there, tough...
1680  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 12, 2013, 01:11:43 PM
That's the point, yes. I would have never ordered if i had the tiniest doubt that they would have been late. My choice at the time was between HF, BF and KNC.
However, their BS made me order with the biggest scumbag company of them all.
