Probably the KNC design is the only sense that would make sense to have at 14 or 20nm.
It's cheap for them.
It's just an fpga conversion, right?
1942  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (500 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: November 06, 2013, 09:35:09 AM
IceDrill! We, ScrewFast customers, are really waiting for the update you said you would have published yesterday!

You know, they don't reply to our emails, ignore us, we ended up hoping to receive an update from you!
1943  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 06, 2013, 03:09:25 AM
No update, as this guy called it:

Predictions for today's announcement?

Batch 1 to start shipping 25th Nov

33% = there will be no announcement
33% = starting to ship #1 25th Nov
33% = starting to ship in december
1%  = i dunno

100% NO announcement

Why? Because the teachings of Yifu/Avalon say so:

1. During phase 6 "Delay, Smoke and Mirrors" of our little game, your customers should already been fallen in slight despair and cry for a lawyer.
2. Stay calm, no lawyer will delve into such a clusterfuck! Release the shielding shill. He will take the blows while you feed him with nonsense to communicate to the sheeps.
3. Build up false hopes by letting him announce announcements, then dive away for a couple of days AFTER the planed announcement date. DO NOT announce anything (because there isn't anything to announce anyways, lol)!
4. In the meantime, attract more sheeps with the money of the "valued ("we want our customers to succeed")-1st batch customers" (which are, by the way, obviously arseraped the hardest, as always)
1944  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 06, 2013, 02:07:59 AM
And they aren't worried by you, either.
Good luck.
1945  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 06, 2013, 01:49:41 AM
Still haven't heard back about the refunds :/
I guess that you will be smart enough not to use the discounts they are giving you?
I could use a 90% discount with December delivery or refund with the money under escrow, tough. lol.
1946  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 06, 2013, 01:45:05 AM
TL;DR: 2 more weeks™
Sorry if i correct you, because you are not the guy that i usually can correct, but that email was talking about batch 2.
It's the marketing department blatantly lying, nothing else. It's not a news, nor anything new.
1947  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 06, 2013, 01:28:48 AM
Wow.. So we paid a premium for them to ship early but now they're shipping one month late?
No, it's the classing lie, and we should use that email as proof against them in court.
This is really, really, BFL v2.0.

Are you really that naive?

Sad
1948  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 05, 2013, 11:19:09 PM
They have just deleted their Ciara pictures blog entry and uploaded another entry with the SAME pictures where it says
Actually, now they are 100/200px larger. It's our lovely John that is starting to understand how wordpress works. Hey John, in case you don't know, there is an edit feature in your control panel! Really!
1949  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 05, 2013, 11:15:23 PM
Since when do random ToS trump FTC regulations?
Since when he decided so, if not, HF really has a problem. First open source 22nm for the win!

You see? Stockholm sindrome. I even find IceBreaker funny. Please save me.
1950  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 05, 2013, 11:05:07 PM
I think that it's not a good idea. Start by contacting as many lawyers as possible, than we will decide the best one for our case and we will pool the resources.
I know of at least 2 that have meetings with lawyers this week.

Hope that they will keep me updated, and that we will all go on together against this. As i said multiple times, my against-hashfast-lawyer-budget is 10k$ (i was stupid enough to make a big order).
1951  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 05, 2013, 10:56:16 PM
Working on contacting different consumer lawyers in California.  You should too.
I'm afraid we are starting to spam them too much. I'm at quota 20 myself.
1952  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 05, 2013, 10:50:12 PM
IceDrill IceDrill, where are you my loved IceDrill?
Why am i starting to believe that i will get an useful update today anyway? Stockholm's sindrome is taking over me.
Quote
Are you retarded?
No, it's just his job.
1953  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 05, 2013, 10:12:25 PM
So i am asking: Has anybody called them?
Many. You won't get anything but legalese talk about how you agreed on the 31 Dec date, and that they are in line with that date.
If you tried to call before the delay to ask if they where on track, they would reply that everything was ok, blatantly lying.
OK, so that maybe translates to: Shipping at 31 Dec and MPP kicks in 1st April.
And i would love to make you guys understand that there is no deadline for shipping the MPP. It could be April 2015 for what we know.

By the way, the difficulty has just grown by 30%, not 50% (what cedivad feared).
We are in line with another +100%/month, aren't we?
Even if the growth is calming down, this (relatively) good news is unfortunately alone...
1956  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 05, 2013, 07:47:18 PM
You know my choice.
1957  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 05, 2013, 07:35:51 PM
So the only suggestion is waiting?
This is what they hope you will do, yes.
Is that what you will do? Probably yes.
1958  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-11-04 WSJ: Bitcoin Firm Files for Bankruptcy [Alydian] on: November 05, 2013, 06:30:34 PM
So, to summarize we got a guy who cant run a business without filing for bankruptcy running The Bitcoin Foundation.
And he is now hidden at the bottom of the foundation board page. At least that.

I never knew that pretending something does not exists was a good thing.
It's not pretending its non existence, it's being ashamed from it. My toughs, eh.
1959  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 05, 2013, 05:40:36 PM
5. No communication from Hashfast.  (everything is under NDA apparently)
Good post, but i have to remember that the NDA is under NDA, too.
It's funny to think about it every time.
1960  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 05, 2013, 05:30:46 PM
I'm upset because of the lack of proofs of:
1) That they where ready to ship at the end of october. The lack of a stupid PCB pic is unexplainable, nevermind the "it's under NDA" excuse.
2) That they had an actual delay and that TMSC really promised them an initial delivery date of the chips of the end of October.

This is leading me to the conclusione that we are being laid to.
This is why i can't accept it.

I always knew that the shipping timeframe would have been critical, but i had faith in HF to keep their promises.
Not only i was wrong about trusting HF, but we are also being laid to and, as if it wasn't enough, ignored.

Let's see what this update will be about.
