1921  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 07, 2013, 09:05:14 PM
next week they will start to ship.
If this was a dream, yes.

3 hours left to the 24 hours timeframe given yesterday.
1922  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast launches sales of the Baby Jet on: November 07, 2013, 05:43:53 PM
Not only miners, but I bet angel investors are pissed too that they didn't just buy btc directly.
Nah, they will be just fine.
1923  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (500 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: November 07, 2013, 05:42:12 PM
6 hours left to the 24 hours update deadline. Will we see a delay here as well?
lol.
1924  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 07, 2013, 05:32:20 PM
You don't have to believe me, and don't attack the messenger.  You can hold out hope and wait for Hashfast to contradict me but that contradiction isn't coming.
They stated, back in days, that refund, if they where to happen, would be in BTC.
Just check their post history.

Not that i trust them, either.

In BTC doesn't mean the BTC amount.  It likely means they intend to use Bitpay or some other service to automate refunds.
I would love to be wrong but counting on anything more than 100% USD refund is a fantasy.

I mean lets look at this logically.  You rant about how they used our money to fund the NRE.  How did they fund that in BTC?  How did they purchase masks in BTC?  How did they buy a batch of wafers in BTC?  How did they contract an packaging house and assemby house in BTC?

The simple answer is they didn't.  When you paid x BTC using Bitpay, Bitpay converted it into y USD and deposited into HashFast bank account.
I should have said "of the btc amount used when purchasing the product". I'm quite sure that it was already quoted at the time. I'm gonna look for it.
Anyway, yes, you are right. There is no way that is gonna happen.
I keep thinking that either we get a shipment before the 31 of Dec, or we get nothing (but their IP).
1925  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 07, 2013, 05:14:45 PM
Still no update from them?  Seems like a really simple thing to do.... They can't even get their announcements on time.
Since that they will piss on the money you spent with that announcement, they have to do the things right. They had 15 days to think on what to write on this announcement, tough.

My prediction:
"no, we won't ship middle november (insert random excuse here)"
"we are still confident that our customers will get their money back (because of btc going to the moon)"
"remember that the MPP is there because we want you to succeed"
"again, our customers will probably have a return even before the MPP kicks in"

Or sign a transaction that can be spent only in the future.
1928  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (500 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: November 07, 2013, 11:14:02 AM
So big secrecy... It must be very bad news, another month of delay?
I'm really waiting to see the contract with TSMC and what the real delay where, if any.
Because yes, it will be a really bad news.

That, or jgarzik receiving the first product.

1929  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 07, 2013, 11:10:26 AM
So what is it, they dont and wont have chips, or they are selfmining? It cant be both.
They probably don't have the chips. When they will have the chips, if they will be able to, they will delay as well depending on the btc price.
1930  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 07, 2013, 11:04:19 AM
BTC > 300$. Until when they it keep rising this fast, we won't see any hardware. They will just say to themselves "hey, they will have their USD roi, let's mine for them". As every other mining company did.

At this rate we can hope in a CrashFast, anyway.
1931  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 07, 2013, 01:17:39 AM
Waiting for the announcement, hopefully not another delay...
They wouldn't be taking this long if the announcement was something positive.

"The announcement that today's announcement will be delayed was unauthorized and released prematurely.
Official announcement regarding today's announcement will be announced tomorrow." --Hash_Fast
Thanks.
1932  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (500 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: November 07, 2013, 12:06:57 AM
Thank you will, we appreciate your kindness. It was what we where thinking of, now we will just wait for HF... (and then we will come back here to learn how your operation is going, because it's anyway interesting).

If you share your ownership with a 2 sign multisign, she can decided not to sign your transactions and you would have lost everything. She would have lost everything, too.
1934  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 06, 2013, 06:11:31 PM
Hashfast finally got back to me and has told me that an official statement will be given by the company later today.
I'm psychologically ready.
lol.
1935  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: How long will my BFL 30 be stuck in UK customs? on: November 06, 2013, 06:09:17 PM
Is the pricetag on the invoice correct?

This is BFL we are talking about. If they set it incorrect would that cause the delay?
Because i remember that they said (back in 2012) that they would display the correct price on the invoice, they won't underestimate it.
If it is incorrect and they found it, yes, it could be the problem.

if value of btc reaches $300 they will have another delay in shipping.
Don't worry, once that we will have the machines in hands we will sue them anyway (at least, i will, just for the luz), and we will request to see the contracts with TMSC.
If it will come out that they promised delivery dates that would never be possible, or they have the chips in hand already and they are laying to us (improbable but possible, i don't know), we will find it out.

This is the positive of having nothing to lose, i guess.
1938  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 06, 2013, 04:29:10 PM
just relax for a couple of days   Roll Eyes
Did that, doesn't seem to have helped, tough.
1939  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 06, 2013, 12:53:13 PM
HashFast has yet to propose you a hosting contract because they can't even find a solid and cheap hosting provider. John said that the last quote he had was 6k for 6 months for a sierra (1500W).
It's something like one order of magnitude too much expensive.

Source: when i was trying to help him to offer a good hosting option, before that they screwed us all.

So really, f them and their incompetence, and f us for giving them our money.
1940  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 06, 2013, 11:42:05 AM
No, that's not what they are saying us and, imho, almost an impossible thing.
