221  Other / Archival / Re: Are investors investing in Bitcoin at ATH now are fools ? on: March 09, 2024, 08:42:17 PM
Are investors investing in Bitcoin at ATH now are fools ?  Is there chance of major correction from here as prices have already peaked now.

Bitcoin always witnesses corrections, nothing only goes up in a straight line forever. Corrections & periods of sideways price action are a good thing. It signifies a good, healthy, liquid market. Bitcoin is the best performing asset of the last 10 plus years so people buying now are absolutely not fools no. Bitcoin has no top, it’s going up forever. We are not even at the halving yet, there is far more upside potential in the next couple of years.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good or bad idea saving every penny on crypto stable coins on: March 09, 2024, 08:31:29 PM
Saving in stablecoins is like saving in USD, it’s a guarantee that you lose purchasing power every year through inflation. It’s actually even worse because you don’t have the security of a regular bank & small interest that a regular USD savings account gives you. Save in Bitcoin, dollar cost average every month over a number of years & you are close to guaranteed to outperform the USD, USDT & all traditional fiat savings outlets.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $5000 investing now - which 5 projects? on: March 09, 2024, 08:26:36 PM
From the options in the poll I would invest in Solana, Dogecoin, Chainlink, Shiba Inu & XLM. I just feel like those five tokens have a really good chance of returning big profits in the pending bull market. Solana has real potential, initially it was branded as the Eth killer. It could pump hard soon. Doge always does well when Bitcoin pumps. Link & Shib have high price ceilings & XLM should perform well.
224  Economy / Economics / Re: Opportunities During Economic Downturns? on: March 09, 2024, 08:14:10 PM
Recession & economic downturns lead to market corrections which can help stimulate innovation. They can create opportunities for investors to buy assets at lower prices. Economic downturns can force businesses to become more efficient & adapt to changing market conditions leading to long term growth & resilience. These potential benefits may vary depending on the specific circumstances and management of the economic situation.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Alts can make a possible 5x this bull season? on: March 09, 2024, 03:01:26 PM
Most altcoins will do a 5 x in my opinion. The majority that ere currently under $100 will do at least 5 x.
You’re going to have to do your own research though & decide what to buy. Nobody is going to do risk checks for you. You're on your own there.
226  Other / Off-topic / Re: specialty or "Jack of all trade? on: March 09, 2024, 02:35:47 PM
Being a specialist in one chosen industry allows for real expertise & can lead to greater recognition & opportunities within that specific field. On the other hand being a jack of all trades offers versatility & the ability to adapt to different situations which can be valuable in an ever changing job market. The best approach may be a combination of both where you have a strong specialisation but also a broad skill set to navigate various challenges.
227  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prospects on: March 08, 2024, 01:55:13 PM
There is no limit to Bitcoin’s rise, we are in unchartered territory. Institutions now have a vehicle & way to access Bitcoin via Spot etfs. We haven't had a bull run where this was possible before. It’s going to be a wild ride, we could see astronomical prices shortly.
228  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A blessed continent on: March 08, 2024, 11:35:40 AM
It could be possible for Africa to one day become a more developed continent & achieve the status of a First World country. Things would need to change including political stability, good governance, economic diversification, infrastructure development, access to quality education & healthcare, technological advancements & sustainable development practices. It would also require international cooperation, investment & a level of support. Africa has immense potential with its abundant natural resources, young population & emerging markets. With the right strategies & efforts Africa can overcome its challenges & achieve significant development & progress. It would take a substantial amount of time to be branded a First World country though.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget Bitcoin - Memecoins Like Pepe, FLOKI and Bonk Are the Big Gainers Now on: March 08, 2024, 11:24:32 AM
Floki & Bonk have already pumped pretty hard. I don’t know how much upside there is with those tokens. If you are looking for a 1000 x token in this bull run you will probably have to take more of a risk & go for a lees well known, less established token. No doubt Floki & Bonk will increase in value this bull & they are the safer option but for the life changing gains we probably don’t even know which token or coin it will be yet.
230  Other / Serious discussion / Re: How do you holding up? I really want to know... on: March 06, 2024, 11:13:18 AM
Hang in there buddy, we all have a time when we think we haven’t madd enough money but if you’re invested in crypto then the next 2 years will be a good time for you. Just don’t forget to sell some next year when you are in good profits. You can then either enjoy the money or use it to buy back at a big discount in the next bear market.
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US GOVERNMENT CONTINUES BITCOIN SEIZURES, CONTROLS NEARLY 1% OF CIRCULATING SUPP on: March 06, 2024, 10:11:28 AM
They’ll probably sell it to Blackrock on the cheap discretely. Just a mild conspiracy theory but it wouldn’t surprise me now that Spot ETFs are here. Bitcoin is now firmly planted in mainstream US finance & it’s going nowhere. If they really wanted to benefit from Bitcoin then the US Government should be holding that Bitcoin plus buying more to hedge against their forever devaluing fiat ponzi scheme aka the USD.
232  Other / Politics & Society / Re: War in world questions on: March 06, 2024, 10:00:37 AM
WW3 won’t happen any time soon, if ever. The main reason is that it’d be so devastating, the death toll & levels of destruction would be unprecedented, nobody would benefit from it. A potential WW3 would not be solely battled with troops on the ground. It would involve nuclear weapons & they would be fired by multiple nations involved in the war. I don’t think even Putin, China or North Korea would start firing nukes at a super power like the US or UK due to the instant retaliation. Yes we have wars in Ukraine & Gaza/Israel but they are very unlikely to evolve into a wider scale WW3.
233  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Imprisonment on LGBTQ on victim your thought on: March 06, 2024, 09:50:46 AM
Religion is one of the main reasons that homosexuality & other gender specific changes after not seen as acceptable in these kind of countries. Limited education can also lead to the reaction that we see too. I am no fan of this way of living but it doesn’t bother me enough to get angry or annoyed about it. Let people live the way they want to live their life as long as it doesn’t impact you directly. It takes a while for anything new & different to be accepted. Even in the US we had a problem with racism & homophobic attitudes but the more you see something the more you become used to it. It will take a while if ever, before LGBTQ is seen as acceptable in African & Islamic countries.
234  Economy / Economics / Re: Hard times in the average Nigerian society on: March 06, 2024, 09:39:48 AM
We have our local board for discussion of all issues relating to our country, and from your post history you already know this because you have posted there. Why are you bringing this discussion here?

Maybe he wants to bring awareness to the situation in your home country. This is the Economy sub after all. I think it’s good to bring a discussion to the wider community. I am not Nigerian but I have an interest in worldwide economic issues. The economic and social status of Nigeria is struggling at the moment due to many factors. Nigeria has a dependence on oil exports which leaves the country vulnerable to fluctuations in global oil prices. Long time issues such as corruption, inadequate infrastructure, high unemployment rates & security challenges have hindered economic growth & development. Little or low education means high crime & violence statistics. These challenges need to be addressed to improve Nigeria's economic and social standing.
235  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Look presentable so opportunities would come your way. on: March 05, 2024, 08:50:38 PM
Looking presentable is important because it creates a positive first impression. When you present yourself well it shows that you care about your appearance & take pride in yourself. This can attract opportunities as people are more likely to trust & respect someone who looks put together. Looking presentable can boost your confidence which can help you excel in social & professional settings. It also demonstrates professionalism & attention to detail, qualities that are highly valued in the work place. Looking presentable opens doors & increases the likelihood of opportunities coming your way.
236  Economy / Economics / Re: Keeping money and keeping bitcoins? are they similar? on: March 05, 2024, 08:18:33 PM
Most fiat currency savers are too risk averse to get into Bitcoin in the first place but I guess if a saver finally grasps Bitcoin then they may have the mental fortitude & patience to slowly stack Bitcoin & hodl for a significant period of time.
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has AltCoins thought you a hard time lesson before? on: March 05, 2024, 07:18:13 PM
I am mostly invested in Bitcoin, literally over 95% of my cryptocurrency holdings. I have, over the years messed with altcoins though of course. I have been taught many hard lessons with altcoins. They are a far less guaranteed  thing than Bitcoin. I’ve bought the tops of certain coins & been rug pulled.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find out cons of altcoins? on: March 05, 2024, 07:07:55 PM
It’s always a good idea to do extensive research in any coin before you decide whether or not you should invest in it or not, especially if you plan to invest a significant amount.  Pros & Cons will be different for everybody, it’s personal. There are some general things you can look for though What is the Market Cap, what is the Max Supply, what’s the Circulating Supply, what’s the Total Supply. Who are the project founders, there are so many things to look for but ultimately the risk is yours to invest or not invest.

Please answer only YES and NO if possible.

NO
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's last big rally in this cycle on: March 03, 2024, 12:22:35 PM
We’ve never reached a new ATH before the block reward halving. It’d be a first & totally unprecedented if it does happen this cycle but if it doesn’t we obviously don’t need to panic. There are so many positive things happening this time, we could see Bitcoin reach heights that seem like a dream to us now. The amount of capital now unlocked to potentially flow to Bitcoin due to the etf approvals is astronomical. If even 0.5% of the average 401k & pension plans goes to Bitcoin Spot ETFs we will see the price soar. Expect to see Bitcoin in multiple six figures per coin in 2025.
