1201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Get Bitcoin Holdings for your child from infant. on: February 19, 2023, 10:03:45 PM
It’s always good to try & provide for your children so they are financially secure when you die. You can do this in many ways, like leaving them real estate for example.

Buying bitcoin is as good an asset as anything to leave as an inheritance asset. You will need to educate your kids though & tell them how to access those coins when you die.

A good parent will always try & leave some form of money or assets behind to help their kids.

Could also be that older men manipulate the younger girls & in Africa there is a high number of rapes. It’s not always the case that you can try & blame young pregnancies on the girls.

Often there is a bad man behind this kind of situation.

Also in Africa contraception & birth control is not always as widely used like in First World countries.
1203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've invested around 450 dollars into bitcoin so far and I am 16 years old on: February 19, 2023, 08:29:50 PM
Smart kid, you will do well young man. I would learn about self custody if I was you. Get a hardware wallet for Christmas or something. You don’t need to rely on your Dad to be honest. Don’t trust, verify.

If you can put some of your pocket money, birthday money, Xmas money into bitcoin & continue regularly buying bitcoin when you start working then for sure, you will do very well & potentially be a wealthy man by the time you get to my ripe old age.
1204  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Scientists discover HIDDEN PHARMACY in ancient limestone caves. on: February 19, 2023, 07:27:22 PM
Nature is special, there are so many natural remedies you can take to ease pain & even heal illness. Manuka honey can reduce inflammation. Natural water springs are a phenomenon, raw ginger can reduce the chances of cancers. I would much rather use things that nature brings rather than big pharma produced poison.

Think about this, if you are well & never sick, how does big pharma make money? Obviously if you need major medicine/treatment like chemo then take it but for lesser ailments then try to treat yourself naturally rather than reach for a pill.
1205  Economy / Exchanges / Re: The Fraud company Localbitcoins is closing on: February 18, 2023, 02:06:49 PM
Sorry to hear this, OP. I have had nothing but positive experiences with LBC myself. I bought from them regularly in 2016 & 2017, I never had a problem. I’m sad they are stopping trading. No business lasts forever though.

I hope you can resolve this issue.
1206  Other / Off-topic / Re: What other types of assets/investments do you have? on: February 18, 2023, 07:06:19 AM
I own a house, bitcoin, ethereum, a small shitcoin allocation & cash in the bank. It is important to have a diversified portfolio but I am particularly deep in bitcoin. It has never failed me in the whole time I have been invested in it so I stick with what works. Like I said though, a diversified portfolio is important. For the average guy it might be quite uncomfortable being so dependent on bitcoin.
1207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Know your limit on: February 17, 2023, 06:14:39 PM
OP you can’t be responsible for your friends decisions. We are all adults here & we are responsible for our own financial decisions. Some people just can’t control themselves but that is not our responsibility. Bitcoin is the best performing asset of the last 10-15 years, anybody with half a brain & an ounce of patience can make good profits by simply holding for a few years.

I don’t have any sympathy for people who start taking loans & pawning out their belongings. This kind of ehavioyr is not required to do well in bitcoin.
1208  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What would you do if your family spent more time on social media on: February 17, 2023, 06:03:39 PM
My family do spend a lot of time on social media. It’s just modern society, we adapt & conform to what everybody else is doing. Human beings are like primates, they just copy what the majority is doing. I think as long as you do have family & friend relationships then spending a lot of time online isn’t too much of a problem. Just don’t allow it to ruin those relationships & you should be OK.
1209  Other / Off-topic / Re: Crypto makes you more attractive, according to a new survey on: February 17, 2023, 05:14:35 PM
I can imagine that being a really early bitcoin adopter certainly makes you attractive to young, hot women but maybe not for the right reasons.

Always go for girls who are smart & have a good personality. Good looks are a bonus but they don’t last forever. A good personality is part of a long standing relationship.
1210  Other / Off-topic / Re: My last hope on: February 17, 2023, 04:42:33 PM
NFT's are the new ICO's of crypto, mostly useless and scam, pump/ dump. Don't trust them. Who do you think would pay hundreds/ thousands of $ for some random digital item? Think more.

Agree with all of the above. There is a lot of wash trading with NFT’s, a lot of money laundering. These whales hope to drum up enough interest in the mania that some poor sucker spends his life savings on a silly JPEG on the blockchain.

Seriously NFT’s have no future & no utility. Invest your money in bitcoin, eth or stocks.
1211  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are Taliban fighters good or bad? on: February 17, 2023, 03:42:09 PM
As Westerners we think of the Taliban as really bad people, terrorists, people who are not human. When you think about it though, the US robs & pillages their country. Bombs are sent by the US that kills innocent people. How do we know some of these Taliban didn’t lose family members to stray US missiles?

I do not like to judge people until I know the full details. There are two sides to every story. I know that if US soldiers killed my Mother or Father I would consider revenge if i was able. Maybe if the US stopped fighting for oil, gold & minerals there would be no terrorism.
1212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Momentum Falters as Bitcoin Retreats to $23.6K on: February 17, 2023, 01:12:36 PM
We were at $16,000 for quite a while, really not that long ago. The retrace from 25k to 23.6k is not what I would personally class as faltering.

We ‘re seeing higher lows & higher highs. It’s just a retrace, I am not saying that we will not go lower but the price & market is not faltering at the moment.

Let’s see what happens through the rest of 2023. It could be a wild ride due to macro environment.
1213  Other / Off-topic / Re: RACISM or RELIGION...Which is more dangerous? on: February 17, 2023, 11:37:25 AM
Religion strictly isn’t dangerous but some radicals can be dangerous whilst supposedly following their religion. Islamists, as we all know can be very dangerous but it is a minority of people who ruin it for everybody else.

Racism is disgusting & people should be locked up for vilifying people for the colour of their skin. We all bleed red, skin colour doesn’t make you any better or any worse than anybody else. Treat others as you would like to be treated.
1214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BUSD labeled as unregistered security by SEC on: February 16, 2023, 11:42:02 PM
Let’s be honest here, BUSD is an unregistered security. I don’t see how it can be categorised as anything else except a security. It is literally just printed out of nothing by one centralised entity (the $ is too).

BUSD is not a bad investment but under no circumstances is it 100% safe. CS is trustworthy until he’s not, that’s how it goes.
1215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Impact of altcoins on Bitcoin's early growth and adoption? on: February 16, 2023, 08:38:59 PM
Everybody is welcome to invest in whatever they want to but overall, i would say that alts have not been good for bitcoin, for a number of reasons. The bad publicity that comes with alts definitely negatively impacts bitcoin. It’s such an easy article for lazy journalism, to lump bitcoin in the minefield of scams & unscrupulous behaviour carried out by alt devs & their communities.

Alts take capital & liquidity away from bitcoin. New investors don’t want 0.01 bitcoin. They want 1,000,000,000 shitcoins for the same price. People think they’ve missed the boat on bitcoin & try to get inventive to make up for it, which usually ends up in awful failure.
1216  Other / Off-topic / Re: My Journey with Type-2 Diabetes on: February 16, 2023, 09:45:39 AM
9 isn’t that high of a reading to be honest. I have known people who spike to 15 after high carb meals. I would advise people suffering from type 2 diabetes to try & lose weight if possible. Also try to keep moving, light exercise, even walking is good enough. People with sedentary lifestyles have a much higher chance of type 2 diabetes.

You can actually correct type 2 diabetes or at least help it by managing a good diet. Obviously eating shit food is not good if you have type 2.
1217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More Awareness needed, 100$ or Bitcoin??? on: February 16, 2023, 09:08:04 AM
It’s a small sample size, clearly worrying but a small sample size. Maybe the answers given, depends on location & intelligence. If you asked this question somewhere else you might get different answers. We are still very early in the emergence of bitcoin, I wonder what the answer would be if this question is revisited in 10 years.
1218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You trust Tether (USDT) Stablecoin? on: February 16, 2023, 06:08:25 AM
Tether is definitely the most trusted stablecoin in circulation. It has been going for a long time now & has a good track record of trust & reliability.

Tether has been subject of so much regulatory & governmental pressure but it is still here standing. I dediniteoy have a level of trust in Tether.
1219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Signs of a better year for btc investors on: February 15, 2023, 10:03:03 PM
I have no doubt that the bitcoin price will be higher on 1st January 2024 than it was on 1st January 2023. I do not think we will see a new ATH in 2023 but it should be a green candle year. Historically that is what has happened after a bear market year following a big ATH year (check your history).

Now is a good time to buy, you will certainly be in respectable profit if you can buy now & hold for a couple of years at least.
1220  Other / Off-topic / Re: Cristiano Ronaldo or Leo Messi, Who's more Influential in the world..? on: February 15, 2023, 08:28:53 PM
Both two of the greatest soccer players in history. I think it’s impossible to separate them, they’ve been the two greatest players in the world for 20 years. I just don’t think you can separate them. Let’s just appreciate that we got to witness their genius.
