1221  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump on kids' transgender surgeries: Under my leadership this madness will end on: February 11, 2023, 02:04:20 PM
Every adult should have the right to do what they want to do with their own body. The moment you start truing to teach kids though is where red flags start & there should be jail sentences. It’s pedophilia & perverted to try & teach children about this kind of stuff.

I don’t know what happened to the world but all this woke stuff is detrimental to humanity, 100% haram.
1222  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Must Politics involves bloodshed? on: February 11, 2023, 12:48:20 PM
Politics & governments have always ruled on war & bloodshed. It’s a really awful world that we live in which is run by the elites, based on fiat money.

You can go a long way to freeing yourself & humanity by buying bitcoin & forcing them to relinquish control.

Fix the money, Fix the world
1223  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Bull charges backward before rushing forward in "full force" on: February 11, 2023, 09:42:49 AM
The bull is asleep right now, this is a bear market rally. We have already retraced a little bit from the local top of $24,000. I would see it as bullish if we end 2023 at higher than $30,000. That would set us up nicely for a really good bull run after the halving which is in mid 2024.

My eyes are firmly fixed on a strong bull market mid 2024 to late 2025.

Let’s get it !
1224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright suing 16 Bitcoin developers on: February 10, 2023, 10:55:29 PM
You do begin to wonder how much more track CW & Ayre have to run now. They’ve been grifting for years now, might he time to hang up their gloves soon. I think the ultimate aim for them here is to force a fork of the early chain or something so they can claim the early coins that CW supposedly mined (which we know is total BS).

They will never get miner consensus on this though so I don’t know what the end game is. BSV is dead, I guess they’ll be around for a while but they’re running out of options.
1225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to deal with shitcoiners without being harsh about reality. on: February 10, 2023, 09:08:03 PM
You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink, as the old saying goes. You can advise people, you might even make a big effort trying to explain & help people you care about but you can’t babysit people.

Sometimes you just have to let people live & die by their sword, make their own decisions on what they invest in. It’s hard enough controlling your own investments than to worry about what other people do with their money.
1226  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Marijuana in the United States on: February 10, 2023, 08:39:29 PM
I don’t smoke marijuana but it’s quite harmless, certainly nowhere near as bad for you as heavy alcohol use or smoking cigarettes addiction.

As with everything, doing thinks in moderation is important.

I don’t see any reason why the odd joint is a really bad thing though. If you want to light up with friends then go for it.
1227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People will choose bitcoins more if the number of cryptocurrency option is less. on: February 10, 2023, 08:02:04 PM
People buy bitcoin to escape fiat slavery & government control. People buy altcoins to get more fiat or to convert into bitcoin. They are not the same, bitcoin maxis are totally different to altcoin investors. Obviously if there are less alts it suggests the price of bitcoin will be higher.

Sometimes altcoin guys need to get totally rekt first to give them the push to be bitcoin only. It’s a painful experience for some guys.
1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favourite MEME COINS? on: February 10, 2023, 05:49:03 PM
Obviously DOGE is the absolute OG, around & still thriving after so many years but my favourite is SHIB. I’m sure there will be others that will surface & become very popular in the next bull run. I just wish they could have some of their supply cap burned because both have near endless supply. What makes bitcoin so good is the 21M supply cap. These meme coins could do better with a smaller supply.
1229  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you ever tried Lucid Dreamming on: February 10, 2023, 05:30:16 PM
A lucid dream is a type of dream in which the dreamer becomes aware that they are dreaming while dreaming. During a lucid dream, the dreamer may gain some amount of control over the dream characters, narrative, or environment;[1][2][3][4] Lucid dreaming has been studied and reported for many years. Prominent figures from ancient to modern times have been fascinated by lucid dreams and have sought ways to better understand their causes and purpose.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucid_dream

I had to Google it to find out what it was. I have never heard of this practise before but it does sound very interesting. I will report back if I am able to take control of my dreams & master this.
1230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How scary could the US SEC ban crypto staking be a sight? on: February 09, 2023, 10:32:51 PM
It’s only in the US as far as I am able to see so far. As usual we will see panic sellers reacting but it shouldn’t really do much to bitcoin in the medium to long term. Staking is a scam any way, YOU are the yield. Just another load of panic dumping across the entire crypto space. We’ve seen much worse before & we will again. Nothing to see here, move on.

Kraken to Discontinue Unregistered Offer and Sale of Crypto Asset Staking-As-A-Service Program and Pay $30 Million to Settle SEC Charges.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
2023-25
Washington D.C., Feb. 9, 2023 —
The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged Payward Ventures, Inc. and Payward Trading Ltd., both commonly known as Kraken, with failing to register the offer and sale of their crypto asset staking-as-a-service program, whereby investors transfer crypto assets to Kraken for staking in exchange for advertised annual investment returns of as much as 21 percent.

To settle the SEC’s charges, the two Kraken entities agreed to immediately cease offering or selling securities through crypto asset staking services or staking programs and pay $30 million in disgorgement, prejudgment interest, and civil penalties.

According to the SEC’s complaint, since 2019, Kraken has offered and sold its crypto asset “staking services” to the general public, whereby Kraken pools certain crypto assets transferred by investors and stakes them on behalf of those investors. Staking is a process in which investors lock up – or “stake” – their crypto tokens with a blockchain validator with the goal of being rewarded with new tokens when their staked crypto tokens become part of the process for validating data for the blockchain. When investors provide tokens to staking-as-a-service providers, they lose control of those tokens and take on risks associated with those platforms, with very little protection. The complaint alleges that Kraken touts that its staking investment program offers an easy-to-use platform and benefits that derive from Kraken’s efforts on behalf of investors, including Kraken’s strategies to obtain regular investment returns and payouts

“Whether it’s through staking-as-a-service, lending, or other means, crypto intermediaries, when offering investment contracts in exchange for investors’ tokens, need to provide the proper disclosures and safeguards required by our securities laws,” said SEC Chair Gary Gensler. “Today’s action should make clear to the marketplace that staking-as-a-service providers must register and provide full, fair, and truthful disclosure and investor protection.”

“In case after case, we’ve seen the consequences when individuals and businesses tout and offer crypto investments outside of the protections provided by the federal securities laws: investors lack the disclosures they deserve and are harmed when they don’t receive them,” said Gurbir S. Grewal, Director of the SEC’s Division of Enforcement. “Today, we take another step in protecting retail investors by shutting down this unregistered crypto staking program, through which Kraken not only offered investors outsized returns untethered to any economic realities, but also retained the right to pay them no returns at all. All the while, it provided them zero insight into, among other things, its financial condition and whether it even had the means of paying the marketed returns in the first place.”

In addition to ceasing the staking program and the monetary relief, Payward Ventures, Inc. and Payward Trading, Ltd, without admitting or denying the allegations in the SEC’s complaint, consented to the entry of a final judgment, subject to court approval, that would permanently enjoin each of them from violating Section 5 of the Securities Act of 1933 and permanently enjoin them and any entity they control from, directly or indirectly, offering or selling securities through crypto asset staking services or staking programs.

1232  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your Responsibility to Change your life. on: February 09, 2023, 09:42:35 PM
How do you measure being poor, do you grade it by financial status & material belongings? It’s a difficult question to answer but many people who are fiat rich are actually miserable & live very sad, lonely lives.

Surrounding yourself with friends, family & living a happy life means you are not poor, in some sense any way. Do not obsess with being fiat rich, it will not make you happy.
1233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tip and Tricks about when to buy or when to sell? on: February 08, 2023, 10:01:33 AM
There’s a couple of things you should always remember. Try to be really patient, there will be times when you are under water but if you buy the main coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum you will not lose money long term. Crypto seems to run in phases of both bullish & bearish periods, both lasting a couple of years. You should buy when everybody else is scared & the price is low. Sell when everybody is euphoric & unrealistic prices are being touted all over the media. It’s really not that tough!
1234  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Our prayers and supplications are with the people of Turkey and Syria. on: February 07, 2023, 10:12:03 PM
Tragic event unfolding in Turkey, my heart goes out to all the families who have lost loved ones. Life is not fair sometimes, one of the the worst things is that this came out of nowhere. Nobody had a warning about this, nobody could prepare for it, nothing could be done.

Mother nature is so cruel at times, this reminds me of the Tsunami that took so many lives years ago. All we can do is pray for the people who have lost their lives & hope the grieving families get all the help they need.
1235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu turns into privacy coin like Monero or ZCash? on: February 07, 2023, 09:52:34 PM
Interesting, it might be a good idea to start allocating a small % of your portfolio into SHIB then? It did so well a couple of years back, I do think it has potential to have a second epic run though, similar to Dogecoin in 2020/21. This is definitely something to keep an eye on, hopefully it will create another hype faze. Investors can be excited about the potential of this..
1236  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Web Browsers begun to have inbuilt Cryptocurrency Wallets on: February 07, 2023, 09:23:01 PM
Definitely not a good idea to even think about storing crypto on browser enabled wallets. Seems like a recipe for disaster, don’t even consider it. Use cold storage or Electrum, Bitcoin Core etc. Nobody should store their wealth in a hot wallet, there are too many attack vendors to ward off. Your stash needs to be offline, on a paper wallet or a safer wallet like Electrum or Btc Core.
1237  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why does celebrity marriage frequently end in divorce?  on: February 05, 2023, 05:20:36 PM
I think there is a lot of vanity & narcissism in these relationships. They’re not regular people, money & fame changes them plus they often spend a long time apart from their partner, in different parts of the world, working on films or music, sport etc.

I’d rather be broke & with someone I love than be rich & have life surrounded by material things. Obviously there are the exception to the rule & some celebrity relationships stand the test of time.
1238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake paid promotions on Twitter on: February 05, 2023, 04:53:34 PM
Twitter is full of scams, not just crypto related but fiat too. If something seems too good to be true then it probably is. We have influencers, people like Logan Paul rugging investors with shitcoins or NFT projects. You are responsible for your own investments but obviously paid promotions can catch your eye.

You need to be vigilant & keep your wits about you. Nobody is going to protect you so you need to do your own research into any potential investment. Do not get tricked or scammed by snake oil salesmen.
1239  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Heading Back To $23,000? on: February 05, 2023, 04:39:46 PM
Price currently $23150 & I fear that we could fall sharply & regest $20000. The pump from $16000 was impressive but it happened fast. We need to successfully bounce off $20000 or there will be fears that this is just a bear market rally, meaning the bottom is not in & lower lows are coming.

Weekly close tonight will be important. I’m looking for $22500 to hold otherwise we could be in for a world of pain. Avidly watching charts as the day closes out.
1240  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anyone watch horror movies? on: February 05, 2023, 04:33:22 PM
I saw The Menu & Smile recently. I’m not going to spoil either for you by telling you anytging about them. I recommend both though, I’d give The Menu 6.5/10 & Smile a solid 6/10. Neither are classics but definitely worth a watch if you can stream them for free.
