221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodling or selling? on: April 11, 2024, 07:49:02 PM
Greetings,everyone
At this point in time,i was wondering about the opinions of dear forum users
There is a long period of time when the bitcoin price is at a rather high level, compared to the price a year ago
Some users have sold all their bitcoins as soon as the price became higher than the price at which they bought them
But i'm interested in the actions of those who bought their bitcoins more than 2-3 years ago and sold them now or are still hodling them
How did you find the strength and patience to resist this temptation?
Please answer people who hodl not $1-2k,but at least from $20k
After all,the fear of loss from investing $1k is much easier to bear than from investing $20k
For me this is the best indicator of inner strength and patience, because the greater the amount of investment, the greater the scale of his personality

P.S i've personally hedl bitcoins for a few years and it's well over $2k

-Regards
I've sold early before the 2021 bull run and that's a mistake that I have been remembering but even as I sold by that time, I am not in a loss but still in profit because I've bought Bitcoin earlier. And if you've been holding it for so long, what do you want? To keep on holding it or you want to sell them now for profit? You are the only one that can answer that question so for you to realize what's the best action that you should do, look at the situation that you're having right now. Do you need the cash? do you have to sell your bitcoin? If not, there's no reason for you to sell and if you're in profit then keep on holding because no one's going to hold it for you but you. You go with the flock that has been holding for so long and everyone will motivate you to hold. Go with the flock of those altcoins investors and they'd tell you to sell those bitcoin of yours for altcoins. Easy? no, but it all takes a lot of time before you make a good decision. So for you to have something good to be done, check yourself out if holding makes sense to you. Otherwise, sell.
222  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: April 11, 2024, 01:40:32 PM
A license makes them not illegally operating. There are some casinos started out without having a license but don't have intention to engage with illegal activities thus, they became operational and eventually got their license. But also, you're right that it's a way to protect the users that the casino won't get into illegal activities but we don't even know nowadays. There are casinos and exchanges that are having some inside activities that aren't involving their customers but could be involved in money laundering.

Actually, Casino that accepts only cryptocurrency is not breaking any law if they don’t have any license to operate since cryptocurrency is not considered as money on most country.

The requirements of license will enter if they will allow fiat deposit through bank transfer or credit cards since fiat always need to be regulated.
You're right since the government can just classify cryptocurrencies as not real money depending on how acceptable they are from those casinos where they are operating. They have no obligation to register but since most casinos do support crypto to fiat withdrawals and deposits, the obligation and responsibility is there.

But a casino that offers pure crypto is not required to get license. Most of the casino just acquired license because they offer fiat deposit and at the same time to gain trust of players since license is one of the feature which players always looking forward before they play.
While before we're seeing a lot of pure crypto casinos but with the continuous growth of the industry and as the demand is asking for that. Most of them have also the support in fiat and various currencies that can be found in many countries. And for that reason, most of them that do have that feature have to get themselves registered.
223  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can we ever live in peaceful Coexistence on: April 11, 2024, 10:47:43 AM
I think that we can achieve that but it all takes a leader that understands the welfare of their people and willing to be the underdog of any deal that they would have. The matter of most countries now is all about territories and how powerful they are. If one leader is willing to subject and just make a deal with the other one who's more aggressive then the war will be stopped. But this is all about pride, power and influence for which no one is willing to do. But we see those countries that are just having some border lines with their territories and yet they make peaceful resolution with those borders and they are living equally in peace. So, every problem that each other deals is about the peaceful talks that both or all of the affected countries will agree with. It's just all about how the equal trades, deals and agreements will be that will no one gonna look like an underdog. But those countries that are willing to subject and become an underdog has got the true hero of a leader and understands the importance of peaceful talks for their people. Not having any personal matters and always put their people first in every situation.
224  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why they need a license if bitcon is not money? on: April 11, 2024, 09:47:33 AM
I do understand how other gamblers could feel as though their privacy is being sacrificed because of regulations implemented by having a license from the government but I think it also has some pros.

A license prevents a casino to suddenly do illegal activities that could harm their clients.

In a way, regulation also protects gamblers from fraudulent and unjust gambling practices.

Well anyway I think it is just up to a gambler’s preference.
As long as we know the reputation of the casino that we're gambling with, there's no problem with that. What's wrong is that we know that the casino is already bad, we've read some reviews that justify how bad they are. Coming from the support, withdrawals, bugs, refunds, etc. and yet you still proceeded to that casino despite learning that it can happen to you.
225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Story of my life on: April 10, 2024, 11:11:31 PM
Life coincidence and I think that reflection of yours is helping. If that's what you think is helpful to you as you gamble then keep on manifesting all of those good vibes that you're having. I thought that the title will speak for itself as I read this thread that includes the story of your success in gambling and everything that you've gone through but I was wrong. Well then, everyone who thinks that they should lie low in gambling and starts to forget a bit of it, good things comes to them because they've got more time to the other activities that they've left for gambling. And as they go back and don't take it seriously then they win and there's lesser pressure for their minds and that's all you need to do. Don't put yourself as if you're in a million dollar contest thinking of strategies with the luck based games that you're gambling with. You're just causing a mess to your head and will turn into a headache without even knowing that you've got some working strategy. It's not how it goes so, just be free, light and gamble as if you have nothing to worry about. But remember, you only gamble with the money that you can afford to lose.
226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: April 10, 2024, 10:15:13 PM

Nery has only 1 loss and 0 draws and then this kind of record is one of the best professionally. Will Nery going to give Inoue with his first loss? We don't know but I agree to you that he should plan well and I think that with all of the matches that he's got, he's going to come prepared against Inoue and even with that, the monster will always be consistent with all of his stance and has always been careful with all of the matches that he's got and so with this upcoming one.

That's what Nery is preparing to do, in this article he was quoted saying that he did not consider Inoue an extraordinary fighter.

Quote
Nery told BoxingScene in an interview through a Spanish translator. “But I've seen his fights and I think he's overrated. I think he's an ordinary fighter, or at least that's how it appears to me. I'm going there looking for the knockout. I'm not going to Japan looking for a decision.
Luis Nery Calls Naoya Inoue ‘Overrated, Overconfident and Ordinary

Although the boxing community thinks differently he will find out on the fight night if he is an extraordinary or just an overrated fighter, I don't think Nery is the one who can deal with Inoue his first loss, he just doesn't have the skill and the power to do that
That's okay, if that's what he thinks about Inoue that's totally fine as he's entitled for his opinion and as the opponent of Inoue, he should give himself some confidence that Inoue ain't that strong. He's just going to see it when both of them are inside the ring already. We as fans understands how strong Inoue is and how he has beaten the shit out of his former opponents. We will see if his opinion about him being overrated is real or surreal.

Marlon Tapales is stronger and skillfully than Nery that's my assessment, but let's see in the fight night.
Despite that Tapales lost against Inoue, he was even praised on how tough he was. He just can't go with continuous jabs against Inoue and he should do that and I think during the fight, he was just looking for some jackpot and lucky punch but it didn't happened. Still, props to him for being strong and tough and he doesn't need to prove himself anymore against Inoue.
227  Economy / Gambling / Re: does betonline.com send an sms when you sign up? on: April 10, 2024, 09:06:35 PM
That's like the first step to KYC together with your name and as everyone is saying, most of the casinos are asking about it. So, if you think that you're okay signing up with that then that's fine. So, actually you don't have to sign up with your number, you can do that later when you're already signed up and you have to fill your account with some information for the limits that has been made to your account.

The difficulty would depend on your setup + how meticulous is the platform/providers + perhaps luck as well lol.
How do I go about setting this up with being found out in general by any gambling site, (not this one in particular)?
I have no idea if this casino is strict with the VPN but most of the casinos can cut you some slack when your transactions or withdrawals aren't that much. They don't mind you using some VPN because it's likely that becoming the norm nowadays and so, as long as you don't violate it and they allow it but you gotta know by asking them, the support directly if you're going to use VPN and if they're okay with that.
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: April 09, 2024, 11:46:39 PM
Inoue is just simply getting high improvement in his every fight and this one will also held inside Japan this is his comfort zone which will give him a huge advantage and will gonna make him easily win this one.
No doubt that he's improving time after time but with the venues that he's agreeing with where his matches are going to happen, this is what makes other fans off a bit of him. There's a reason why he wants to box at most times inside his territory and country and that's a boost for his career and certainly, it's all about the cheer of the people that he's getting and the confidence that he's getting. I wonder if any match of his goes out Japan, will he able to win it? It's like always the home court advantage that he's getting but that's far from being skilled. Because no doubt that Inoue sure is a skilled and undefeated boxer.

Nery on the other hand, should come up with a surprising technique that would gonna surprise Inoue and will catch him unguarded with a unique kind of strategy that will surprise him but I doubt that would gonna happen since they have countless intelligent inside the training gym, especially in Japan and that would not be possible to surprise him anymore and he gonna be ready whatever that is.
229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: April 09, 2024, 10:33:27 PM
I wouldn't expect from them when it's come to these tournaments that are still early for the TI. I am not trying to defend them or what, but this Elite league doesn't have points for qualifying into the bigger tournament and that's why I think that they're falling shortly. But without having any reasonings, the other teams are just better than them. It's like they are becoming on their 100% when the tournament is having a lot of prize pool and qualification for the bigger tournament. This Elite league has got a $300k prize for the champion and that's still a lot of money but knowing that these champs, they can win or just play as if there is nothing to worry about as there's no points and that prize pool has a place for everybody even at the lowest placers.
My thoughts are the same on the other teams struggling in the group stage. There's no urgency for them to go all out as there are more important tournaments like the ones from ESL and DreamLeague since those tournaments are the only road for the Esports World Cup, which is becoming like the replacement for TI.
True, despite the prize that they've got. They can't just go all out with the best or strategies that they've built over the period of time. Time flies so quick and soon, we're going to be in the TI and its qualifiers again and with those teams that have gathered enough points will have time for them to restrategize. They just can't give the idea to their opponents that they have something prepared for them for the grander events and tournaments. I am not saying that this Elite League is no grand but it's also one of them and it just so happen that there's no points on it. It's just all about the money but teams like TS can't put that at stake but, I hope that I am wrong but when it's come to respect, TS has gained it and they sure are a veteran and know how to act on these tournaments easily.

Anyway, at some news. I can't imagine Taiga was even doing his 322 when he was still at OG and that's why there's something off with OG at that time. Too much addiction really can cause you a lot of breakdowns and can make you lose your career. He's one of the best supports out there but he's gone out of the career due to addiction in gambling and no team will take him at this time. Props to his former teammates coming from Alliance, to Liquid and to OG. His teammates at Liquid are doing good but him, he's left behind.
The unexpected thing about his case was rigging the first blood, as he already admitted his gambling addiction before, and the community only gave him nothing but positivity.

He's still playing for a team in the SA region, but there's no chance for them to qualify as Boom, Heroic, and beastcoast are always fighting at the top.
Yeah, that first blood thing and many have been followed. I can't just think of it that he had accepted such offers like $1k and having some commission with that. He can earn more with his career and being on an SA team, I don't think that he'll be able to recover from being in a tier 1 team going to a tier 2 or even 3. That's just so sad but I guess that living lifestyle in his country is quite high and this made him do that.

On the other hand, here's the recap of what has happened for day 5 and the standings of the teams. Those teams that have red cross marked are surely eliminated. While with the green one, sure to move to the next stage which is the playoffs and will be placed on upper bracket.

Coinbase and Tron developer sir Justin Sun are now the next target of the SEC, this morning I read on Twitter that SEC is going to arrest Justin for market manipulations and Selling Securities, there is also some cases about Fraud, this is going go be tough, what do you think will unfold from this? Scary or Nah???
Not scary at all. It's known what kind of guy Justin Sun is. He's got a lot of projects aside from Tron and that's why we shouldn't be worried at all. But wait a minute, when did Justin Sun became a part of Coinbase? I can't remember that he became one and he's more focused with Tron and his new acquisition of Poloniex. But with all of these drama that's happening in the market, all I can say is that if there's no drama, there's no thrill.

So with this, there is nothing to worried about if your assets aren't in poloniex, BTT, TRX and other platforms and projects that he's part of. He's grown big on this market from the very start and he knows how to market himself. And I was surprised to see that's got the title now of "permanent representative of Grenada to the World Trade Organization in Geneva. He's got a lot of achievement and based on his bio, he's left being the CEO of Tron for that permanent representative post. Anyway, with all of these things that SEC is doing for each of them makes the market more colorful.
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto or Real estate on: April 09, 2024, 12:50:05 PM
That's the main point.
It's up to the investor what will be his choice. The reason is there are types of investors who are good at Bitcoin investment, they can easily understand, and so on. Some are good in other investments such as real estate, while some are good in both. It depends on the personal choice and where they feel more comfortable with their investment.
And if you're good in both then you're blessed because you're better than the others but it doesn't mean that they're not good. As you've said, everyone has their own strength and if you're good in holding and investing in Bitcoin then that's a great strength that you have because many are still skeptic about Bitcoin and not willing to invest any penny on it. But you, you're able to invest and take risk while everyone is doubtful. And I believe that when you invested on Bitcoin, this opens a lot of opportunities and your skill in taking risk is increasing. Why? It's because the nature of bitcoin as a highly volatile asset gives us that emotional breakdown but that breakdown is helping us to improve and that's why I am seeing it as a positive thing.

Before, I was too weak and my heart was like the others when I can't take the sudden dump of Bitcoin's price. But gradually, I was able to adopt that and any type of sudden crash nowadays is no longer alarming to me. So, apart from being an investor, your vote of confidence to the investments that you're choosing and holding becomes better. While in real estate, it's a stable asset and it's truly different from the nature of Bitcoin or any crypto that you want to hold. And if you're fortunate enough to have both of it, take that opportunity because not everyone can have both of them.
232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you consider yourself, the family and gambling? on: April 08, 2024, 12:42:35 PM
1. At what age will you allow your child to start gambling? that is if you will even allow for that at all?
2. At what age do you see yourself quit gambling? that is also if some of us are going to ever do so?
3. Ever since you have started gambling, have you ever achieve a satisfying level that makes you think it has good impact on you?
4. Would you have missed out on anything if you were not a gambler?
1. Probably never. Yes, I am gambler but I don't want my child to gamble. Regardless of how the life will be in the next decade or so, I'd always decline if I am asked for a permission.
2. I don't know. Maybe when I don't feel gambling anymore. I can't hold the future and I have no idea on what's coming in it. Maybe I might like it for the next years but people change, right? That's why I have no idea when and at what age I'll be.
3. Yes. When I am on the rainy days and I need some money on it and fortunately have won some bets, then that's one of the satisfying moments that I've ever been with gambling. But it doesn't come always so, I'm thankful that it was just a fortunate moment of my life.
4. Not sure with that, it's all about "might", "maybe" answer.
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dana thought he lost $80k one night and his advice for gamblers on: April 08, 2024, 11:59:02 AM
From being $80k and telling it was "just" already means a lot for someone like me but I can speak for the majority of us that it certainly is a lot of money and there's the behind the scene with it. That also shows on how rich Dana that can lose $3M on just one particular night. I can't even attain to lose thousand of bucks or even hundred but with him, it seems that it's just nothing but well, this is how the rich plays. Money is truly a tool to them that they can use to have fun. While he's on a better state of giving advise to the other gamblers because he won't lose his entire money on it. It makes sense to give the reminder to everyone that no matter how much money you have, make sure that it seems nothing to you when you lose or else you're going to regret and will have to work your ass hard off with it until you recover it. We're far from Dana but we can have that mindset that how much we lose in gambling can be literally nothing or even more that we afford to lose. From the basic and simple tips that we're saying to the other gamblers of losing what they can afford to lose is the whole point of it.
234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: April 08, 2024, 10:45:40 AM
What I don't understand is why it's on Netflix this time.
To make it more exclusive and it's the living legend Mike Tyson that's going to box with Jake Paul. As long as it can be done with this deal, Netflix would have take the deal as long as there's money on it. More subscribers and people will just sign up when they're not yet on netflix and this is just the same as the pay per view that we mostly see from the boxing matches of our favorite boxers.

Correct me if I'm mistaken but since when has Netflix been interested in such events?
I have no idea but as long there's a potential profit for them, they're going to sign deal with whomever who's going to negotiate with them just to be on their streaming platform. Soon, other boxers that have a lot of hype might just do this and who knows if the sports that can be watched on free TV will also be streamed there, at the end of the day it's just all about money.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land Based Casinos in the Digital Age on: April 08, 2024, 09:46:58 AM
We will see the coexistence of both. While the digital upgrade is there but it won't stop the existence of the land or physical casinos because traditional never gets old or it does but gamblers will still find a way to experience the oldies but goodies way of gambling. Just think of it that even there have been a lot of online casinos out there, you, your family or even your gambling friends might just choose to stay at home but not to gamble online but to find a way for each of you to enjoy gambling altogether. You're seeing the difference why it's fun to stay with your friends and sometimes that's where it starts that one of your family will ask to go and pay some visit to the physical casinos.
236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lately I've been thinking about this a lot. on: April 08, 2024, 01:33:41 AM
So I happened to watch a UFC related movie yesterday and the main character is a very strong one who never loses a fight but during a fight he decided to lose the fight, I found out that he did it intentionally because his uncle and his uncle's friend bet a lot on the biggest odd, which is the other fighter.

He lost the fight and he still made a lot of money from his uncle and his uncle's friend, how brilliant? Since they use a large amount and also on the biggest odd, but I think about the other gamblers who chose to bet on him because there was assurance that he would win the fight.

Now I started to think about the real life UFC, maybe this is even happening underground and we don't know? Jake and Mike Tyson's upcoming fight for example is gearing up, many believe that Mike will win, but maybe something like this will happen?

Many gamblers are placing bets on this fighter since its more reliable than you against the casino games, this is all about agility and skills, but the possibility of intent loss to make more money is also possible in this game, what's your take on this?
For the actual UFC? I doubt that this is happening, maybe it does but very rare. Because those UFC fighters have their career on stake and if they're willing to do that kind of match fixing then they must be prepared to lose their career on an instant. They're professionals and I am not sure if they've got sworn and oath before going on to become a professional fighter. But this isn't just happening in the UFC because of the movie you've watched but even in some other sports including the common esports nowadays, there are match fixing. It's just sad that because of gambling that big money is going on with these matches and they affect the competitiveness and seriousness of these matches and fights.

If they're proving how good they are with their skills, win or lose that won't be taken from them. The legacy that they will leave is important to them and that's why I think that most of them or if there any one that has done or will do it have already accepted their fate. But AFAIK, most of these athletes or fighters before signing their contracts, they've got conditions that they shouldn't do any gamble to the first, second or how many degree they have in their family. You know what I like with contact sports to be specific is that it's uniqueness of having the twist of the result with just having a single blow from the losing fighter to the winning fighter that can turn the table on the losing fighter's favor.

Just started watching Elite League and noticed Team Falcons vs Heroic was a BO2 because it is round robin stage, so of course it ended 1-1.
All of the matches on this round robin stage are all best of 2 and this is a crucial stage to be honest because it's hard to get a 2-0 and with many teams having tied up with 1-1 score, I won't be surprised if by the end of this stage there will be a lot of tie breakers.

They just started the match for the Team Spirit versus a team I had not heard of before G2.iG
It's actually Invictus Gaming(IG), they're a former TI winner that has won it on 2012. Whilst G2 is a known organization in CS2 if I'm not mistaken, they're sponsoring now for IG and they're doing good at this moment because they're ranked #1 for this Elite league for this round robin stage but it's not yet done as there are still three days left. By the way, this is the recap for the third day of this RR.

238  Economy / Gambling / Re: CryptoFreebie.io - For The Players on: April 07, 2024, 10:34:13 PM
Technically, this is an affiliate website that gives their users a lot of choices on which casinos they should gamble. And at the same time, you're giving back to the affiliates that will sign under you so that you can maintain them to be active just as what you wanted to give more commissions to you. It's actually a good strategy and brilliant idea on how to retain your members to be active at most times, that 80% for the entirety of what you'll receive from their commission is generous.

But I wonder if you've got active participants or affiliates already since you've posted this thread here 2 months ago.
Because keeping your affiliates/referrals active with this kind of strategy you do is one of the hardest thing to do and that's why you're doing lots of way for them to keep active.
239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stopping the curse of losing streak? on: April 07, 2024, 09:37:58 PM
In your case, how do you approach when you are on losing streak so badly on specific game. Does changing game works for you?
Kinda works for me and that's I believe trying to shoo the bad luck that's in me. We've got a lot of beliefs that makes us think that bad luck or losing streak can be gone by doing something else. With this, it's very common for a gambler to revert his attention to another activity aside from gambling when we're on a losing streak. It's a common misconception that our bad luck comes from ourselves and we need to do something for it to be gone. Yes, it's a common misconception because there's really no basis on it but it is working for many of us and if that's what we feel then so be it and just do your thing on how you remove that losing streak and much worse when we describe it as a curse.

Depends on the game though. Blackjack and Poker, if you don't really know how to play the game can lower your chances of winning. Either way I'd still just stop no matter what game since a lose streak is a lose streak.
I wouldn't play a game that I don't know and won't be a heavy bettor on it. But if I am starting out and trying to know it, it's expected that you have small chance of winning on those games but on the case of OP. I don't think that he doesn't know how to play those, he's one of the most active gamblers that I've seen and that's definitely not him that doesn't know what he does and what he gambles. In all sense, it's true that just don't gamble the games that you don't know if you don't want to lose that much.
240  Other / Off-topic / Re: How you can benefits from your loss ? on: April 07, 2024, 08:54:07 PM
None of us sees losing as a normal thing, even in the simplest things.
Nope, actually most of us see that losing is a normal thing when you gamble and it's the same with investing. When you put some bets that you're willing to take, then it clearly means that you're willing to take the risk and risk comes with a potential win or lose. But in most cases, we see that losing is normal to each and everyone of us as we know gambling is like this. That's why if you're saying that losing is not seen by most of us as a normal thing then you're probably not gambling at all or don't take risks at all.

The majority have the mentality of a winning , and this is normal because this is human instinct, and losing always negatively affects how the gambler thinks and the ability to analyze the situation, and it has the ability to destroy all positive ideas and make the gambler frustrated.
I agree that this is the majority of us. Despite that losing is also normal, the mentality that we have about winning is normal as well. Nobody wants to lose but it's just that the expectation of many of us is already on that point that we can actually lose when we gamble and that's the acceptance that we're having as we gamble. Normally, when a gambler wins then that adds confidence to him and he wants to gamble for more to see that satisfaction that he's looking at as he gambles but then, when losing has come. You'd see this winning gambler will start to just look frown but accepted that it's a normal thing to lose.

As gambler How do you deal with loss?
There is no need to deal with it. Acceptance is what you must do in all of the results that you'll have, whether you win or lose as long as you've been accepting outcomes and you're not expecting a lot when you gamble should be the norm. And with that norm, you learn something new that you'll apply it to yourself or in life or simply in gambling.
