2221  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 7 NEW GAMES HAVE BEEN ADDED 🎰🎰🎰 on: July 14, 2017, 02:40:04 AM
This site is pretty awesome Wink I love playing in bitdice.me because it has a probably fair game.

You know what's more fun?  Investing in Bitdice's bankroll.  It takes a little bit of skill because you have to figure out how high of a margin (called kelly in the site) is optimal depending how the site is doing.

Does anybody want to share their strategy on how to adjust the margin at Bitdice?

Why do you want to adjust margin? What I do know in the end house will always get the profit so why you care about the margin? If you have more guts I suggest that you will go with the highest margin as they have so you will earn more too. No need to keep on adjusting it, it will be slower you on getting your profit
While what you say it is true, you must understand that even if the house is going to profit in the long term, there is the chance the house still loses in the short term if a whale bets big and wins, that is just the nature of the game and if you have the margin at the maximum your losses will be maxed out, so I think the question is a valid one.
2222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sorry me, but it Very important information about litecoin (LTC) on: July 13, 2017, 02:30:46 AM
I think I'm gonna go buy some Litecoin now. Thanks Arise Chickun arise!!
that is a right decision. Litecoin is good and it has a potential to take the crowd. Bitcoin is too obsolete and its technology has not been improved yet. BItcoin will soon collapse and litecoin will be the next king of this hill
Let’s not exaggerate, Litecoin is a good coin, but unless bitcoin disappears due to forks or something else then Litecoin has little chance of overtaking bitcoin on its own because, well, litecoin is basically bitcoin  with segwit already activated, however as an investment there is no doubt that litecoin will keep rising in price and as such it is a good investment for all of those that want to diversify their portfolio.
2223  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait? on: July 13, 2017, 02:24:56 AM
Hi,

I don't know what to do  Cry

How you think bitcoin will go up or down in near 2-3 weeks?

It is very important for me...

What you will do with your btc also?

Thanks.

I think you should wait, the current bitcoin is not stable so the sale or purchase may make you regret later. So wait, wait for the bitcoin to stabilize then you can sell it and buy another coin, that is perfectly lucid

Yes, now is not the best time to sell. Especially if you recently came to the bitcoin community and bought bitcoin expensive. I would advise such people not to panic, but simply to hold a coin for several years

Price is very low at a moment so I don't think this is the good price to sell bitcoins especially if you have bought your coins at higher price so the best thing would be to hold your coins tight and wait for the price again to go higher in coming days and it it achieves $3000 price then would be the best price to sell bitcoins.
You are right but you must understand that some are worried about the possibility of a hard fork, if this is correct then some are willing to take the risk and lose some money now rather than to lose more money later if a hard fork does indeed happen and that lowers the price, I don’t think we are going to suffer a hard fork but the possibility is there, unfortunately.
2224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Primalbase - The next THE BILLION COIN on: July 13, 2017, 02:20:44 AM
Some say it's overpriced?

Share your thoughts.
I was always suspicious of that coin, the project does not need a blockchain, for a service that is only renting space or something, maybe you can get some earnings since it is stated the price for the coin was low, but to be honest I don’t see how this coin could become a coin with more than a billion dollars in market cap, maybe I’m wrong but that is what I think
2225  Economy / Economics / Re: New rich people thanks to BTC on: July 13, 2017, 02:17:08 AM
This is the unexpected thing, bitcoin 9 years ago as there is no clarity, but because the system is unique and good eventually many companies are investing bitcoin.

If we are one of those people that started believing that bitcoin is going to go this far. We are now rich and one of those people who are now enjoying their investments with bitcoin. And it is still not that late, the price is still higher than $2,000 and it is still good to enter bitcoin investment and many companies are now seeing it's potential.
Bitcoin is like gold, the returns of bitcoin are way better but almost any altcoin grew more in the last months than bitcoin, so if you really want to make money then altcoins are what you should be looking for, and once you get your desired profits then you can switch to bitcoin and forget about having to watch your investment every single day since bitcoin is the most stable of all the cryptos, thanks to its huge market cap.

In a way you are right, but at the same time it is impossible that things keep working the same way they have worked for the last decades, so a crisis is coming but we do not know when and if it is going to be avoided, the crisis of 2007 to 2008 was terrible but some of its worst effect were averted but the solution found by governments was to indebt themselves, now they no longer can do that, so what is going to happen when the next economic crisis strikes?
2227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used by ordinary citizens? on: July 13, 2017, 02:08:17 AM
i find that ordinary people who dont care or lack the tech savvy will never use bitcoin.. i have told my friends to buy back in 2011 they never listened or didnt bother to learn it.. their loss
Well, soon ordinary people will have to use bitcoin more and more because bitcoin will be accepted and adopted by the government. Technology and computer science will rule our world in the next 100 years. And then, AI will serve the human being
I agree with your opinion. But it is hard to convince them to trust Bitcoin. Nowadays, too many people still think Bitcoin is scam. Trying to persuade them is the hardest part. Bitcoin itself can be used by all people who can get access to the internet. It does not require high education, degree.

Bitcoin got attention at first because if I remember correctly its whitepaper was published 3 weeks after the greatest economic crisis since the great depression, if satoshi did not have such a great timing maybe no one would have gave any attention to bitcoin, what we need is another economic crisis that shakes the confidence of people in the world economy and begin to look for answers elsewhere.
2228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Software Engineer Buys 20,000 BTC in 2010, Quits Job to Travel Around Globe on: July 12, 2017, 02:08:39 AM
Just keep on stacking BTC and in the long term history will be on our side and we will be rich.
Yes but sadly we will never be able to stack up to 20,000 even 20 BTC is a dream for me. But who knows maybe in a few decades 1 BTC will be worth as much as 20,000 BTC is worth today.
He took a gamble and it paid off, if you really want to live that kind of life then you need to take risks like the one he did, gather the most money you can afford to invest and that does not put your financial future at risk and then invest it in an altcoin with potential, if successful, that could be you in a few years, it is not easy to take such a risk but if you really want to live that life you are going to have to take a decision and follow it through.
2229  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices rise high on: July 12, 2017, 02:04:31 AM
Yes I think that's the reason many people are taking interest in bitcoin investment including me. Lols. I have spoken with my friends and they are also getting interest in it a lot. This is just because of rise in prices of bitcoin. :-)
This is not really surprising but at the same time, what price bitcoin will need to reach for the people to finally awake to the innovation that bitcoin brings and they decide to invest massively in it? Bitcoin is already above the 2500 mark do you think people will wake up at 10k or we will need to reach ridiculous prices like 100k so people can finally realize about the potential of bitcoin.
actually in this case the high price mean nothing when people around the world still ignore bitcoin and even become so doubt about how the bitcoin technology could change the current banking system with a ridicilous 100k USD per 1 bitcoin in price .

the price are not the only thing that could recognize whether bitcoin successful or not , but there is something more important and it is an implementation.
You are correct but the most obvious thing for most people is the price for each coin, in fact people in the forum cannot stop talking about it, and I include myself in there, and since when we talk about the general public we are not talking about a smart investor but about your average Joe, then it is even more likely that price is going to be the first and sometimes the only factor he is going to see.
2230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA - the scam is being pumped hard now don't fall for the trap on: July 12, 2017, 02:01:28 AM
I smell that this is one of the big nails, which will close digital's currencies coffin (i.e. "raised eyebrows", regulations etc.).

What are the regulators going to do? They can't stop drugs being bought sold. How would they stop these ICO? Stamp their feet?

Probably, but they could at least make it illegal for the residents of their country to participate in ICOs and crowdsales, if this happens, then that is going to stop a number of people not everyone but some, especially those that do not know any better and follow orders, for the rest they will keep doing business as usual but the rewards are going to be smaller.
2231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum in 5 years on: July 12, 2017, 01:56:10 AM
In terms of fiat my guess is $7500 for 2022! Grin But first they have to secure and improve their network.

They say that the "Ethereum Machine" is much slower than a mobile phone, so I guess that will need to change first! Just imagine what will happen with thousands of smart contracts are being invoked on the network at the same time, who knows what will happen!?
Nothing wrong with being positive and all of that, but that is simply too high, there is no way for Ethereum to reach that price, it will need to grow about 25 times its current price to get there and that is not going to happen, it is as simple as that, I think the rise in price is going to get slower now that is that high, similar to what happened to bitcoin.

I think you will be deadly wrong. It will get higher than anybody could imagine
Could you at least elaborate and not leave it at, you are wrong because I say so, at least I gave an argument about why this is not going to be the case, Ethereum is already very big, and when you are big it is difficult to become even bigger, especially when you have something on top of you avoiding your growth, which in this case is bitcoin.

I would also like a justification.  Not just because you say but some kind of reasonable statement.
I gave it, and its there, read it, but if that is not enough of an argument for you, just look at what it is happening at the moment Ethereum is below 18 billions in market cap, and now is 19 billion below bitcoin in market cap, when some weeks ago it was 6 billions bellow, you don’t have to believe me, but you should at least believe your eyes.
2232  Economy / Economics / Re: If USD falls on: July 12, 2017, 01:50:26 AM
If USD. Fell it will definitely affect bitcoin because currently bitcoin is being equated with dollars and others major world currency. Dollar is the major currency in the world and when ever there is nagative effect on it every other things of values also feel the infect. Though as a bitcoiner I wish bitcoin become maintream in future.
I think that if a great instability hit the dollar , that will open a window of opportunity to bitcoin, a window that is not here at the moment, at that point in time people will try to do anything to protect their savings and their wealth and I’m sure bitcoin is going to be one of those things tried by the people so I think you could ask your price and get almost anything you want if you hold bitcoin in that situation.
2233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: July 12, 2017, 01:46:58 AM
Bitcoin is arguably a novelty that's why law enforcement against crime involving bitcoin has not received much attention. So, the criminals can still explore it. But I'm sure, sooner or later, as the number of crimes involving bitcoin increases, of course lawmakers will take action by applying new laws to ensnare the criminals.
In my country, the government pretends that bitcoin does not exist. If you become a victim of theft of bitcoins then you won't even take a police report because a theft has no price and thus is not a property. So the criminals feel quite freely when dealing with bitcoins.
This is a really lousy approach to the situation, there are many things like collectibles that at first sight may not be worth much but that are very valuable, just look at Tom Brady jersey’s, the one that was stolen after Super Bowl LI, it is just a jersey but I have read that some value that jersey at half a million dollars, bitcoin is similar, even if some think it does not have value as long as someone is willing to pay for it, then it does.
2234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crime funded by bitcoin on: July 11, 2017, 02:24:33 AM
Since Bitcoin was ever released, I've thought of the possibility of this. Will crimes be easily funded now due to bitcoin and it's anonymity? How do you think the authorities will combat this? Will this lead to a decline in the price of bitcoin? I've had this on my mind for a while now and I would like to hear your guys opinions.
Yeah it has been common recently and it is really one reason that Bitocin became so famouse. It's also a reason why some countries do not want to legalize Bitcoin, they don't want to risk their countries.
Nothing but an excuse I must say, governments are shielding themselves by using that as justification against legalizing bitcoin but they know full well they do not do it because bitcoin is a revolutionary currency that is going to change the way people make business and the way in which we think of trade and our relationship with money.
2235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: July 11, 2017, 02:21:28 AM
At present, countable members are asking about Bitcoin. But, i hope that the number will be increased. Some of them still have doubts, like bitcoin is safe or not, useful or not. They will definitely overcome their doubts in future.
If they only knew that if you know what you are doing bitcoin can be the safest currency in the world, there are no banks or governments that can take it away from you with some simple clicks of a mouse, you can travel with your bitcoin and no one will know that you have it since you can move your bitcoin in a paper wallet or inside a computer or an usb.
2236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Poll] Will you use Jihancoin? on: July 11, 2017, 02:18:37 AM
If that happens I will consider bitcoin to have died and will sell all my holdings and move to litecoin, but it will not be long before something like this happens in litecoin and then they try to take over that network as well, if it becomes a game of the cat and the mouse in which I will have to move between blockchains to avoid this process then it s possible I will leave crypto.
2237  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin benefit of saving for a long time? on: July 11, 2017, 02:13:40 AM
Two years ago bitcoin prices were not as high now and I think not many people hold bitcoin for long time,  with the already high bitcoin prices I'm sure many have sold it
Only weak hands sold with this small increase in price, many people in the forum are waiting for the day bitcoin finally skyrockets and touches tens of thousands of dollars by that time, you will not need to sell since at that point adoption will be big enough that I think you will be able to pay with bitcoin in a lot of physical stores.
2238  Other / Off-topic / Re: Young people should go all in on bitcoin on: July 11, 2017, 02:11:15 AM
Forget about everything else and just put everything on bitcoin. You are living with your parents, they pay everything for you, you got nothing to lose. If I was living with my parents, I would save everything and buy bitcoin monthly. If BTC doesn't keep rising you can still reach the 21 BTC holder group, then save this and retire in 10 years when the price makes you a millionaire.

Go all in on regret later. You are on a privileged position to profit from high risk high reward moves. No risk no win, and BTC is the best long term high risk bet.

I think the price of Bitcoin is so high that purchasing is a wise decision of young people because of too much risk. When you are young, living with your parents, most of the savings you save are so small that you can invest in Bitcoin. Bitcoin prices will increase or decrease so nobody knows in advance so I do not encourage you to invest all in Bitcoin
Young people should invest in anything that makes money, by the time you reach retirement age you will get a huge sum of money in return for your investments, so if a young person wants to save in bitcoin then the only thing that I can say is good for them since they will be able to enjoy the benefits of bitcoin at a younger age than most of us.
2239  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is right now a good time to buy Bitcoin / Ethereum? on: July 08, 2017, 03:28:55 AM
Good time for bitcoin that has only gained 120% in a modest grwoth rally.

Terrible time for Ethereum that is up 5,000% in a crazy bubble.
Ethereum is not going to lose the value it gained any time soon but many think this crazy rally can continue and the truth is with the market cap as high as it is now I will not count with that to be true, I think we will see Ethereum growing in a similar fashion as bitcoin has done for the previous years and maybe bitcoin is going to outpace Ethereum in some periods of time due to improvements on the network like segwit.
2240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on? Bitcoin for the rich only? on: July 08, 2017, 03:26:23 AM
I think it's right.Bitcoin is now making just for the rich. The fee of transactions are getting higher. It's analysis that it is now going to make just for the rich. Cry
If I’m not mistaken the price of the fees of bitcoin have been lower for the past weeks since it seems that however was spamming the network has stopped and with that the fees have gotten lower, and with segwit activation the fees are probably going to get even lower for quite some time so I disagree with you in your analysis about bitcoin being just for the rich.
