1321  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin continue to fall to $ 6,000$-5,000$??? on: February 09, 2018, 10:50:28 PM
Many people tend to forget that Bitcoin is not an over night money spinner. Bitcoin is an investment for the future. You have to hold. If you are scared to buy, then you don't have to buy. But don't sell the ones you already have. Because first you will sell at a loss. Then second the price of Bitcoin will still go up. Just have a little bit of patience.
Most investors that bought bitcoin in the last months did so because of the bubble in the price of bitcoin, and they had no intention to hold for a long amount of time, so they are in a big problem if they hold their money will be tied to bitcoin for a long time but if they sell they are going to lose money so it is not an easy decision to them especially if they really need that money.
1322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What if we were all wrong on: February 09, 2018, 10:46:29 PM
I think this is the feeling of those who undergo the crash from $1,163 in 2013 and it crash to $152 up to 2015. For those who sold their coin have lost their opportunity but for those who remain standing are the ones who are celebrating now because some of them eventually became millionaires. You know the risk that are involve when you entered the crypto market so you should be ready to take it on. If you have a strong risk appetite then just hold on but if you can't take it anymore then just withdraw. I know that the most famous line in investment is "invest only what you can afford to lose" but there are so many people who still invest they can't afford to lose that's why in a bear market, many are emotional and just decide to withdraw even if they have a huge loss.
This is similar to what happened back then with the only difference that things back then were way worst, now this drop in the value of bitcoin happens in very different circumstances and as such it is not the same, we have a country like Japan that recognized bitcoin already as a currency, we got segwit and soon enough we will get the LN so the recovery should be faster this time.
1323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Ripple buy time? on: February 08, 2018, 09:35:23 PM
What do you think, Is it Ripple buy time?
If your answer is yes, then want to know the target around 2018 (almost one year).
If I invest 2k$ on it, how much I can get back from this?
If you believe in Ripple and are willing to hold for the long term then you could invest now, I still think there is still some room for Ripple to go down but this can be a good time if you have the money and do not want to wait, however it is going to be impossible to predict how much money you are going to make, we can speculate but if that is your only reason to invest in ripple then it could be a good idea to wait and look for a different project in which you really believe in.
1324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The technology is improving: segwit, lightening, schnorr.. on: February 08, 2018, 09:27:51 PM
And you are selling ?!

seriously ?

when the tech was worse you were buying, and now that it works better you sell ?

are you completely out of your mind ?

bitcoin is immensely undervalued ! if you are not buying now, you are 100% insane
I don't get it either, there are no transaction troubles anymore, which means that bitcoin will only gain traction. I think selling is senseless now, there was a point in selling 4 weeks ago, though, and buying BTC 2 days ago. Now the smartest decision I see is just a long-term hold and occasional trading.

some people just dont understand..
one day they will learn ! meanwhile, we buy and hodl
At the end it is their money if they want to give their money to us then why I should stop them, we are in a free country and if people are going to throw away their money I might as well take advantage of it, don't you think? So those that sell lose their money and give it away to those that hold and buy when the price is cheap, remember if everyone took always the right decision then no one will earn a cent in trading since someone needs to lose so someone else can win.
1325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons Why We Should Love Bitcoin on: February 08, 2018, 09:23:42 PM
Bitcoin is the result of technological development so that if a person, society, or country that has the desire to go forward they should be able to take advantage of the technology because a group or individuals can be said to progress is seen from the technology used. One of the ways that illustrate or demonstrates that we love bitcoin is by using bitcoin and the technology to be used in some of our activities as well as in the economy.
I wonder why the governments are ready to accept blockchain technology but are not ready to accept Bitcoins and i think it is very hypocritical on their part . The banking sector has lost the trust of almost everyone and with Bitcoin, we can free ourselves from their greed.
Remember despite what they may like you to believe politicians are not there to defend an ideology, they are a pragmatic bunch of people, they understand the blockchain and they understand that is going to be very useful but they hate bitcoin since it takes away power from them, think about this, are you happy when a new tax is imposed on you? If the answer is not, think of bitcoin as a tax imposed at the government, they hate bitcoin because it makes them lose money.
1326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I bought on all time high on: February 08, 2018, 09:19:02 PM
I hate my life so much right now xD
Who else bought on ATH?  Huh
All that you have to do right now is to hold.
Don't bother with checking the price every few minutes, even days. Just relax and wait for better times.
There was a spike and big drop right after, it happened many times before so I think it is absolutely possible for it to happen once more.
Don't panic and take it as a lesson for the future. I'm sure there are plenty of people like you, that's why we see this huge "sale"  Wink
The problem of holding for the long term for people like the op is that they probably had no plans to do so, they planed to buy a coins and the coins will go up immediately or at worst he will have some small losses but with the current drop in the market the people that bought at the all time high will have to hold for months and maybe years before they get their money back.
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes Bitcoin different from alt coins? on: February 08, 2018, 09:15:55 PM
Can we expect altcoins to reach the success of Bitcoin? and how long would it take? what are success metrics?
You cannot expect altcoins in general to have the same success of bitcoin, only some altcoins are going to have anything similar, most other altcoins are not going to survive for long, besides the current success of bitcoin is still small compared to its potential, if bitcoin is adopted by a huge amount of people then we could say that almost no altcoin is ever going to reach that level of success.
1328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Prospective ICO? on: February 07, 2018, 11:43:48 PM
The reason why this token drew my attention is 2% passive constant income for all token holders. How quickly will such token grow in price?  If possible, please share any alternatives with similar feature.
The idea of combining a huge mining farm with greenhouse also seems prospective to me. Haven't seen anything like it before.
Whenever you are going to invest in something ask yourself a question, why do we need need those tokens at all? What fruits and farms have to do with the blockchain and cryptocurrencies? If the answer is nothing you are just in front of a project created just for the sake of raising money and scam users, besides 2% of passive income is very difficult to achieve no matter the time frame, so please do no invest in this or anything similar.
1329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much do you tend to invest in an ICO on: February 07, 2018, 11:37:57 PM
Hey guys

Just wondering what others normally invest in each ICO they invest in and see what the rough average is

Thanks
You are not going to find useful data since the question is mistaken, what you invest in an ico is going to be limited by two factors, how much you can invest and how much are you willing to invest in a particular coin, everything else is meaningless, in one case I invested almost all my money in a coin because I thought it was a good idea and in some other coins I just invested some spare money.
1330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase should delist the Bitcoin Cash scam. Spammers should read this. on: February 07, 2018, 11:33:43 PM
but Bitcoin Cash does not qualify as a "scam". It is a competitor.

competitors are the 1500+ altcoins that are out there which also happen to have very unique names and started from scratch even though they forked the code from some other project. and they never claim to be "real bitcoin", they sometimes claim to replace bitcoin which is bullshit but that doesn't make them scam.
but when a coin which is NOT bitcoin tells everyone that it IS bitcoin, that makes it scam.

with that said, unfortunately the exchanges which earn money from fees,... sometimes don't care about these things. and BCH has a decent volume which makes enough incentive for places like Coinbase to keep it there.
This, at least other coins have the decency to have their own name and brand, the devs of all those coins have the dream of surpassing bitcoin and make their coin the number one coin, but they try to do it with honesty, bitcoin cash could have followed the same path if they just forked bitcoin and renamed their coin with any name they wanted except bitcoin, but it is obvious they not only do not want to renounce the name they want to keep it to themselves.
1331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi's vision has not been achieved! Why? on: February 07, 2018, 11:26:42 PM
Why has Satoshi's vision for the Bitcoin as a peer-to-peer electronic cash system failed?

How did the investors ruin the vision which was similar to the Napster where data was shared at its own expense and received free of charge?
The investors did not do a thing, bitcoin is a currency, of course it was going to be traded and people will try to make money out of it, that is just natural, second you seem to be talking about miners as well, miners are taking the biggest risk here since they have invested a fortune in specialized hardware that is completely useless except to mine bitcoin and they cannot do this for free they need to get profits, so the vision of satoshi has not failed we are still in the early stages and we do not know what it is going to happen at the end.
1332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm so happy this is happening! on: February 07, 2018, 11:18:37 PM
I always kind of hoped that one day all the fair weather fans would start to wander off. The folks would lose interest and forget why Bitcoin got to where it is today. It blew up so fast that I worried I'd never be able to acquire Bitcoin but it seems a miracle has happened. Everyone in this space now has no idea what the point even is!

Smiley It's terrific, before Bitcoin hits 100k and eventually a million a whole new wave of noobs are coming and going driving the price back up and then eventually leaving. You guys know this exact thing already happened right? The people that get Bitcoin keep stock piling, everyone else loses interest time passes and it explodes up again.

Anyway, thanks to everyone that contributed to bring the price down. I truly appreciate it and it was good having you around for a while. Smiley
This is funny because it is true, the price cannot go up unless more people want to get bitcoin and are willing to pay higher prices, but people that have been in bitcoin for a long time are not going to make such mistakes so it is up to the new people to buy at those high prices, those that buy now will be able to get huge profits but those which come late or do not take advantage of this opportunity will lose money once again.
1333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Cash is going to $3500 by June on: February 06, 2018, 08:23:14 PM
There is a information in the corners that Bitcoin cash will goto a new height a touch near $4000very soon and may even the king. A lot of people are shifting from Bitcoin to Bitcoin cash.
Bitcoin cash was just crashing like any other coin, so I do not see where you get that many people are shifting from bitcoin to bitcoin cash, if anything the opposite will be true in some months when we get the lightning network and the only advantage that bitcoin cash has over bitcoin is eliminated forever, thanks to the cheap and fast transactions the lightning network will bring.
1334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC Docs on: February 06, 2018, 08:18:33 PM
When ICO's collect your KYC docs, is that it?   What do they do with them, just hold on to them for record keeping or are they required to process them some how?
In theory yes that is all what they will do with them and maybe if they received a court order to revel those documents they will allow authorities to see them, however I refuse to let myself be ordered around by some icos, if the ico is legit you may decide to trust in them and send them your documents but if the ico looks scammy it will be a terrible mistake to send them anything.
1335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Senate hearings on Bitcoin on: February 06, 2018, 08:14:12 PM
They have been a lot more positive than I initially thought, is the US going to save the day?
I do not think the US is going to save the day, but this is still good news, however that does not means they are going to let the market to operate as it has been, they want heavier regulation in almost all aspects of cryptocurrencies, they are being greedy they are seeing this technology can possibly bring a lot of money in taxes in the future and they do not want to miss a piece of the action.
1336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: FREE SATOSHI!!! on: February 06, 2018, 08:07:56 PM
At last, you feel bored already in playing, doing puzzles or maybe even solving captchas in order to get very small amount of bitcoins. I hope you now realized that they are just waste of your time. I once did those such things before so I know what you really feel about it.

Just a friendly advice, since you are now a Jr. Member, why don't you try to find signature campaigns because I'm sure it worth your time and you will love it. There, you will be able to earn more and learn new things at the same time.
Jr members cannot put links in their signatures anymore, now you need to be at least a member, this changed with the introduction of the merit system, this is an attempt to stop spam coming from low ranked accounts trying to upgrade their rank, so it is likely that from now on less and less campaigns accept Jr members so if he wants a a campaign he needs to earn at least 10 merits.
1337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many panic sellers, HODLERS and new buyers out there? on: February 06, 2018, 08:03:27 PM
Hey guys. How are your cryptocurrency investments doing? I hope I covered all the options in the poll and did not leave anyone out.
It is very obvious that almost no one is doing well right now, even if you are still in profit, the profits you have right now are nothing close to what we had just some weeks ago, I suppose most of those that invested in the last month are panic selling since they entered the market at a bad time, anyone that bought before September is still doing fine but lets hope things improve in the next days and weeks.

1339  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be the bottom(for you)? on: February 03, 2018, 03:19:48 AM
with bitcoin price falling I sometimes ask myself; when is enough?
What do you guys think will be the bottom before it goes back up?
And what would be your bottom? 9k? 8k? 7k?

I think the lowest value we could see is 4k we are not far now that the price is at 8k but were going to need even bigger and worse news for bitcoin to reach that price and I do not know if there are news big enough to push the price that low, but even at that point I will keep holding, bitcoin will need to go way lower than that to make my doubt of my conviction to hold.
1340  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin continue to fall to $ 6,000$-5,000$??? on: February 03, 2018, 03:16:18 AM
Will bitcoin continue to fall to $ 6,000$-5,000$?
Yesterday bitcoin has fallen below  10,000$. Today bitcoin continues to fall deep down to 8,200$ and possibly more.
I bought bitcoin at 15,000$. Who can advise me to keep or sell bitcoin at this time? Will bitcoin continue to fall to 6,000$-5,000$? what should I do? please.. Sad Sad

And why did you bought at that price, what were your goals at that moment, why you did not thought this could happen, we cannot give you a precise advice until you are able to answer those questions, if I was in your position I will hold but that is because I have been holding for more than a year so I know I will hold not matter what, but it seems that is not your case, so you will need to figure out what it is the best you can do under your current circumstances.
