Now it's almost back down to 1000k satoshi.

This is extremely turbulent. Do we just wait it out? Does this coin really offer innovation? Why would a bunch of native chiefs need crypto?

Looks like your average pump and dump.

Your market expectations are way too unrealistic.  Sounds like you want to be a daytrader and expect straight vertical line graphs 24/7.  Either you look at the big picture or you sell now, take your profits, and have no regrets if it rises to astronomical levels.

I see a pattern here that has developed where a lot of traditional crypto people just find it inconceivable that a coin other than Bitcoin could rise to the billion dollar+ mark. It has me convinced a lot of early Bitcoin adopters are naive about the world of finance, just the city of Dallas ALONE has a GDP of 420 billion. Why would it be so inconceivable that a currency adopted by a major native Tribe and possibly might even be adopted by their fellow tribes could reach such heights? In fact Bitcoin's valuation at 10 billion is peanuts compared to its true potential.
2302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ██[MZC] MazaCoin - National Currency - now @ RussiaToday, Independent, Telegraph on: March 04, 2014, 08:48:39 PM
Wtf? Someone just sold 10 BTC worth at 16000 into a 17000 buy wall. Then the price dropped.

Can someone explain what happened?

There are just so many trades happening at once, it changes before you see anything lol

Yeah i'm seeing my holdings go up 1 BTC, drop down 1 BTC, then go up again. You could be making good money on the dips and highs but i'm not good or brave enough for that kind of stuff.
2303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Maza is rising on: March 04, 2014, 08:30:54 PM
People are also fucking with it's value. Just saw someone set up a buy of 1 @ 0.0003

That won't make any difference. The real number to look at is the volume. 394 BTC, almost halfway to Auroracoin.

With roughly 5 times the amount of coins as Aurora, do you think it is feasible this could hit 1/5th the current value of AUR?
2304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is MAZACOIN the only legal cryptocurrency? on: March 04, 2014, 08:24:14 PM
You really think the US has no deal with those tribes, they can try hide their pride under laws and historical reparations but when I see a map I only read "United States of America", Mazacoin and any other coin is under US laws, so far they have been favorable to Bitcoin, for Mazacoin luck.

Clearly you don't understand tribal law then. I live in Oklahoma and it is established that if a crime happens on tribal territory then it is usually their jurisdiction. The tribes have a lot of power and frankly a lot of money. The Lakota may be the poorest of the tribes but don't think other ones won't watch this eagerly. I think this coin has the potential to be as huge as Bitcoin, imagine the average investor who is already nervous about Bitcoin being a den of ponzi schemers and drug dealers, they see a legal authorized currency from a recognized Indian tribe, it puts their minds at ease about putting their money into it.

Also, who says ONLY the Lakota has to use it? I can imagine other neighboring tribes adopting it as well, and obviously most people right now buying it are not Indian either. It could finally be the alternative currency that libertarians and patriot types have always wanted to compete with the US dollar except now the feds can't come in and seize all the reserves and arrest the creator.
2305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you like Auroracoin, you're going to LOVE Mazacoin (MZC)! on: March 04, 2014, 07:31:18 PM

There are other interesting coins -

Sunny King developer of Peercoin and Primecoin.
J. R. Willett developer of Mastercoin.

Interesting doesn't mean real world use either. Sorry but MAZA has the potential to be just as big as Bitcoin because let's face it, a lot of investors are interested in the crypto train but still see Bitcoin as a shady op run by drug dealers and hackers. Who do you think the average ma and pa investor would trust their money with, a quote, unquote "hacker" or an Indian tribe? Of course we know the chiefs really aren't in charge of distributing Maza nor are the creators of Bitcoin hackers but perception is reality. Giving it legal tender status makes it a huge commodity for wealth storage, it doesn't matter if most Lakota members never actually use the currency, it is like what the creator of the Liberty Dollar set out to do, to create a COMPETING currency within the US borders. But since the tribe has sovereign status, the US government can't touch it and can't throw the creators in prison for it.

Not to throw it back in your face but the Bitcoin community kind of set themselves a year or two back by putting crooks like Shrem and Karpeles on a pedestal and feeding Silk Road into a huge entity, and they are doing it again with all the excitement over Darkcoin which sounds even more insidious to the average person.
2306  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC Stolen from Poloniex on: March 04, 2014, 05:28:48 PM

I'm sure the good folks here would not think of suing you (and neither would I) but you may want to CYA.

Well let's be honest, you're not going to find a small claims lawyer who would even sue for .12 of a Bitcoin.
2307  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC Stolen from Poloniex on: March 04, 2014, 04:45:42 PM

One anonymous poster vouching for another?

"If he was a thief he could easily have..." could apply to anyone before they do something wrong. But anyway.

It's a good exchange, sure. And I hope that all is the way that is said. I'm just suggesting that we not automatically assume that everything anonymous people say on the internet is true, especially when it comes to money.

You can check the thread history for him on here asking for help on how to retrieve BTC from a customer's wallet however, that is very real.

2308  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to Deal with Poloniex hack situation on: March 04, 2014, 04:35:38 PM
Agree I would love SMS, it's much more convenient and I feel more secure than with Scroogle.
2309  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC Stolen from Poloniex on: March 04, 2014, 04:33:29 PM
Guys, I want to vouch personally for Busoni, a week or two ago I had accidentally deposited .6 BTC into my PMC wallet by mistake on Polo. Busoni personally went out of the way to retrieve it for me, even coming to Bitcointalk to seek help on how to solve the issue. If he was a thief he could easily have said, "sorry there is no fix" and run off with it himself. I thought my money was lost but he came through and i'm sure he will come through again for everyone affected by this mess.

12 million

In one post you mention 97% of these people live well below the poverty line then in another post you mention they should go out and buy some Bitcoin.

This is what I find hilarious about the attacks on AUR and MAZA. Bitcoin is also a pseudo-premined coin in that an elite few own most of the wealth, the creator is anonymous, and there are no major merchant acceptance yet, I can order a few things off overstock or tiger direct but there is not one store anywhere around me I can walk into and buy things, yet they hurl these same attacks on the 2nd generation of coins. Is AUR and MAZA in it for the long-term? I don't know, but it is annoying that the old guard of crypto is now starting to sound like the fiat loving naysayers who call Bitcoin a tulip and a ponzi scheme.

Just remember, everyone called Doge a scam too and said the owner pre mined a sh-t ton of coins and would run off with the cash, in the end he actually turned down 500k and the coin is still going strong 3 months later.
2312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you like Auroracoin, you're going to LOVE Mazacoin (MZC)! on: March 04, 2014, 04:59:59 AM
I predict we'll see a backwash of auroracoin profits flowing into mazacoin

I already sold my AUR profits to buy Maza, it was tempting to sit on AUR and see how high it could go but doing the math if this can catch even a 1/3rd of AUR's excitement and growth there is much more money to be made.

Also as a resident of Oklahoma with a Cherokee cousin, I support anything Native Tribes can do to uplift themselves and also give the finger to Uncle Sam  Grin
2313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: March 03, 2014, 06:55:42 PM
Imagine somebody gave you some weird, difficult to use and not very useful to you technological device - for example, a ham radio. Would you try to understand how it works and become a hobbyist radioamateur, or just pawn it for $500 at the local thrift store or something?

And even that is assuming that the dev doesn't make a few thousand sock puppets and claim the coins himself, left pocket to right pocket. A very optimistic assumption.

I get what you're saying but is crypto really any less complicated now for the average person acquiring it the "normal" way? I wanted to pull my hair out trying to help my dad buy bitcoin from coinbase, setting up 2FA and then send it to another exchange and buy PMC. I don't think every citizen of Iceland will start using it but I think the media attention will be huge. Besides in a smaller city all it really takes is a few guys with a booth set up to help the average person out, and even convince them to hold onto their money for a long time until crypto is easier to use for the common person.
2314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: March 03, 2014, 06:40:46 PM
Damn! PMC should have those Aurora prices.
Tell some stories about airdrops and your coin becomes the best thing since sliced bread.  Cheesy

10M is premined so a 5k volume to pump the price isn't that hard, it will drop like a stone into the abyss.

I can drop a paper wallet from my third floor window, does that count? Cheesy

Honestly though, it's way overhyped even without the threat of getting dumped by the dev.

I'm bullish on BOTH PMC and Aurora. If the developer keeps his word, it could be the positive news we need in front of the world to distract from the Mt Gox situation.
2315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Next cryptocurrency candidates for CoinEX on: March 03, 2014, 06:39:12 PM
PMC, protect your wealth from volatility and dumpers!
2316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I missed the Auracoin train, what's the next one? on: March 03, 2014, 05:32:57 PM
I say PMC Wink

Agreed, definitely PMC, I think Aurora stole some of its thunder this week.
2317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The True Value of Auroracoin on: March 03, 2014, 04:43:48 PM
Why people paying for 50 bucks for 1 aurora? They're hoping for more profit? Or it's just concerted price hike?
Coin market cap is drawing attention too it but only  a small amount available!

Exactly, simple supply and demand. Look at the sell orders, most range between 1-5 at most, few whales control hundreds, another reason why this would be hard for a Wolong to come in and dump the price.
2318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The True Value of Auroracoin on: March 03, 2014, 04:30:27 PM
Every criticism of Auroracoin can apply to Bitcoin

1. It's not government sanctioned either, anywhere. Looking the other way is not tantamount to endorsement
2. It's creator is anonymous too and for no better reason either than AUR's creator
3. The creator holds a sh-t ton of coins that he mined himself in the opening days when BTC was unknown and difficulty was very, very low. If Satoshi brought a million coins to the market for sale, it would crash Bitcoin too
4. There is no wide merchant acceptance for Bitcoin. Yes this year we finally saw some national retailers like Overstock and tigerdirect, but when BTC's speculation levels were riding at their highest in late '012 there was virtually nowhere meaningful you could buy goods and services with. Small wordpress stores selling USB cables or Amazon gift cards hardly counts as a "merchant" in my book.

And finally, my favorite of all

5. What in god's name does Litecoin offer any more than Aurora offers to justify its market cap? At least Aurora is practical and is trying to find a real world use, I have not seen one good excuse WHY Litecoin should be the "silver" to Bitcoin's gold other than faster transaction times. Well you know what, other coins have fast transaction times and a dozen other more features. I think alot of people are just upset that LTC is not taking off like they hoped, they first lashed out at Doge and called it a scam, and when it proved here to stay they now want to focus their aggression on Aurora.

Also if you don't think the people of Iceland are "Ready" for crypto, then no one is really. There is no better place than an island nation of 300k experiencing currency problems to experiment, if it works it could be the thing we need to pull us out of the Mt Gox fiasco in the eyes of the world. Trust me, the average person thinks Bitcoin is a bigger scam or Ponzi scheme at the moment.
2319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: March 03, 2014, 01:24:34 PM
What I think is funny is how so many of the attacks on this coin equally apply to Bitcoin. When Bitcoin hit $1000k, how many merchants were available to spend it? Sorry but your little wordpress store converting gift card sales to Bitcoin doesn't count. And people attack the credibility of the creator for being anonymous and holding a huge premine? Well just who the hell is Satoshi and why does he not show himself either and how do you think the market would react to him cashing out his million Bitcoins? And finally, it is even more funny we are being told Iceland is not ready for crypto yet we are supposed to believe Bitcoin will change the world within a year. I think a small island nation of 300k people who all mostly live in the same city is a good place to experiment more than the speculative halls of exchanges and geek forums but that's just me.

Get on the train everyone!!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

So anyone else think we might see an epic pump on DRK like Vert a few weeks back?

Oh for fuck's sake. They're here. Roll Eyes

I'm unapologetically, unabashedly here to make money, sue me.
