2301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it becoming a thread for casinos refusing paying very huge winnings? on: January 13, 2023, 04:35:56 PM
This is like a last line of defense for the casino and allows them to use the malfunction card whenever they feel like it. You won to much? It was malfunction and we won't pay you. You saw the sign before you started playing! How can the player know if the machine is damaged before playing? If it eats the money and doesn't show any win it's fine, but if it shows a win, the casino will claim malfunction.

Imagine if you had the same thing written on any electric appliance. We aren't responsible for any damage caused by malfunctioning equipment. Your dishwasher breaks your dishes? Should have never bought it! Your pressure cooker blows up in your face? Malfunctions happen, we're not responsible. This is a bunch of bullshit.
They usually use those "trap" cards or reasonings just to avoid paying the eligible amount of their players. That's the logic there, they should have shut down any of those machines if they were malfunctioning. But not, I think it's sort of a modus operandi on their end and they've been doing that reasoning and flipping the trap cards for the poor players that should have won whatever is indicated on those screens.
2302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still holding your coins #btc on: January 13, 2023, 03:08:19 PM
So am curious to know if everyone is still holding or have chicken out and sold theirs.
Fortunately, with the lesson that I learned before the bull run in 2021. I've managed to keep a few of them, it may not be big as what I've read from the other members here but still, I'm happy with this achievement of mine.
2022 was certainly full of challenges and if there's a market that's been challenged a lot, then that's bitcoin for sure. With all of those biggest collapses that has been reported, still, look at it right now and it's still alive and pumping.
2303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: January 12, 2023, 07:38:54 PM
I'm pretty sure people will still watch the between Pacman and Spence or Crawford.
That's for sure that we fans will still watch any of those as long as Pacman is there. But we don't know if there's still the possibility that Pacman will have those matches professionally as he has given the hint that he's going for the exhibition matches and after signing with Rizin, I don't think that we'll see any of those in the near future. And who was it again that Pacman is going to have a match in Dubai this upcoming month? I'm quick in forgetting things these days, is it another exhibition?
2304  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 90% of India's largest crypto exchange funds are in Binance wallet on: January 12, 2023, 06:03:07 PM
I wasn't aware or can't remember that WazirX was already acquired Binance. And since they're under the wings of Binance then that's usually what it is after acquiring another business. I think what's surprising to me is that the 90% is just around $285M which I think isn't a lot for the largest crypto exchange there in India. But to be fair on this one, they've chosen the reserve to be in the form of USDT and not their native stable coin which is the BUSD.
2305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is here to stay on: January 12, 2023, 08:46:33 AM
Honestly, the bear market last year wasn't even more noisy than in 2018. When people have used the bear market of 2018 as a reference as usual with their comparison to the current and past markets. Bitcoin is here to stay and that's without a doubt. If someone is still too concerned about its existence then that person will just be too late to invest and will always ask if it's okay to invest now whether we're in a bear or bull market.
No matter what good bitcoin shows on its chart, there will be those folks that will never be enticed to buy because they've got a negative belief that's stuck in their minds.
2306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer and Crypto Guru Gambles Away Investor Funds on: January 11, 2023, 11:39:51 PM
Another one bites the dust. I don't get why there's so many scumbags in this space and all of them show their faces trying to make you feel like they're legit and honest but it doesn't take a lot to make them turn. Mashinsky from Celsius, Do Kwon, SBF... People should learn that there's no investing in personal endeavors in this space. When you're sending money to someone in hopes that you'll make money this way you're not investing, you're donating!
I don't believe that people will ever learn to be careful with cryptocurrencies, no matter how many scammers make money on their stupidity.
It's because new investors are trusting more personalities than themselves. It's like an easy gateway for them to be invested through someone who thinks an expert on it.
But it just so happens that most of these "experts" aren't really experts and the actual experts can't be found in the dumb of social media and hiding from being a public figure.
The sad truth even though years have passed, there are still many investors that fall for the "invest and earn by doing nothing" tag.
2307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can players bet on their own games on: January 11, 2023, 10:37:22 PM
In esports, professional players are allowed to bet before and there's no clear rule with that but when the selling of games and the famous "322" for the Dota 2 community started.
It has now come to pass that players still have the right to do that but as part of ethics and conduct, the majority of those who are in the professional career of being an esports athlete, choose not to get engaged in gambling but they do advertise casinos since most teams are sponsored by them.
2308  Economy / Services / Re: Renting with Bitcoin? on: January 11, 2023, 04:13:05 PM
Does anyone know of a website or service that offers rentals such as houses, apartments, or rooms, with the rent paid in Bitcoin?
Please share resources if you know some.
I don't know any but just tried to help you search it through Google and found this: https://cryptwerk.com/companies/rent/
Note: I don't know much about that website but it's the first to appear when I've searched the keywords that I bold in quote.

Is it even legal and how can you protect yourself and prove your transfers? Have you seen any such service or infrastructure?
It's legal as long as the owner has permits and bitcoin isn't banned in the country where you're about to rent.

If it did exist, would some of you users/holders/miners consider paying for rent or even the utilities in cryptocurrency?
At this moment, I'll have to think about it since we are in a bear market but still maybe a few times I might.

Is bitcoin the right currency to use in such a service or are there obviously better ones? (less volatility/more open/public / ...)
There's the recent interesting acceptance of services that are being done by other forum members and they obviously have that goal of accepting it. So, it depends to the owner of the business or rental property if they like to support and accept it but obviously, the ones that are optimistic about bitcoin will have no doubts on it.
2309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SBF said: WHAT HAPPENED? on: January 11, 2023, 02:56:40 PM
It was announce in Court Filings that between January and September 2022 FTX spent $40 million hotels, flights, and food. This is almost $4.5 million a month!
$15 million of this was for luxury hotels and accommodation. There was $5.8 million just on Albany hotel which was also the home for SBF $30 Penthouse. He spent about $7 million on on catered food and his entertainment.
Dang, that's a lot of luxury trips for SBF and the gang. Am I watching another real life of the previous life of Wolf of Wall Street? I guess he's got that as an inspiration and spent people's money on all of that luxurious trips.
The dude enjoyed his life too quick and short and he's going to pay for all of it, all of those trips that cost him a millions, I mean people's money will certainly get justice with it.
2310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woman won $43million but was offered a steak dinner instead of her winnings on: January 10, 2023, 10:00:26 PM
That casinos is not honest at all and If i were the one who won that kind of money, I won’t go home without it or without a proof that I won that money. I will not exchange it into a steak, that casino should pay regardless of the reason.
Me too, I'll stay until they give me my winnings and that's a lot of money. Well, can't blame the woman who won that amount and then told to go home and she can come back tomorrow. Those that are into local casinos and might have hit a jackpot soon, you'll all learn from this scenario.
Don't settle for anything until you get the whole amount that you deserve. This is a crazy casino and I think this is just one of them there are more horror stories like this from other gamblers.

I hope she can still get her winnings, the good thing here she took a picture of it and can use that as her evidence, better to put this in court and expose that casino for not paying the winning prize.
That's possible since she's got a selfie of it but in defense of that, the casino will just lie and say that there's a glitch and then let the court decide.
2311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An Example of Not your Keys Not your coins on: January 10, 2023, 08:49:59 PM
I'm one of them and guilty that I just click the "I agree" button without reading because I want to save time. But the more of these cases appear and you'll get to realize that you should also be careful with such terms and agreements, it starts to read every time we sign up.
While for the side of users of Celcius, that's a hard part to accept since they've trusted them but then, they'll just make it like this and will have to partways through a separation that's not favorable to the users.
2312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: January 10, 2023, 12:29:27 PM
However, I already have an opinion on which team I will always bet on in the Dota 2 match this time, namely on the Tundra Team and hopefully the Tundra game will be the same as last year's match where they won the title.
You still have to observe who will be they're fighting. It's not all the time that even TI champs are going to win, there can be some bad decisions and chokes from them.
But so far, they're showing who they are and even years ago before they've become a TI champ, they've been commended for being a consistent team. Who knows if they'll be the 2nd team to record for having 2-TI title as champions.
2313  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans are once again quitting their jobs at a growing rate on: January 10, 2023, 10:07:53 AM
I saw someone who's got a decent job but I'd forgotten the state and still ended up being homeless after years of working. It could really be related to the economic downfall and the state where they're living. But another reason is that their way of living and the salary they earn isn't really enough for their lifestyle. I'm balancing my thought about it because when someone who's earning decently but has a luxurious way of living, that's really not sustainable. While in the US, the number of quitters are increasing, in some other countries, jobs are too limited.
2314  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals! on: January 09, 2023, 07:35:30 PM
I do contact there support the moment they freeze my withdrawal. There decision is final and they can’t share more info about the reason for there decision. I stop asking question about the reason since I believe they will not gonna entertain me anymore while I already finish my KYC to withdraw my balance.

I’m just sad that I can’t participate anymore on promotion while it’s the only reason that motivates me to play more. Anyway I respect there decision and I’m still happy that I get my money back while I can still use the casino feature except the promotion.
That's sad to know but if that's their final decision, there's nothing we can do about it. There's a basis on their end but they'll not say what it is.
Well, anyway, I hope that this won't stop you from supporting Duelbits.

I believe decentralized, non-custodial gambling is the future.

I think otherwise, because it is expensive to play when it happens, imagine paying tx fee every time you gamble?
It is optimistic to think about the future and we've seen before that some decentralized casinos like 5-6 years ago have launched. And fees are dependent to the network and what's worse is when it's clogged.
2315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HELP, I want betting/gambling tokens in crypto portfolio for 2025 on: January 09, 2023, 01:36:06 PM
Is there any reason to add gambling tokens to my crypto portfolio?
I don't know about you, it should be your preference whether you want to add casino tokens or not. It's your portfolio and you shouldn't be looking for reasons from other people if it should be in your stack.

What drives their value?
Their market is what drives the value, so if there's a lot of usage from its respective casino then the volume will be much higher.

Do they appreciate in value just like other altcoins whenever we are in a bull market?
There's no guarantee, it's a maybe.

If you are in my shoe right now, what gambling token do you think you can take a risk on and add to your crypto portfolio and why?
I don't have an interest on any of them as of the moment so, if I'm on your shoe then I'll allocate that to bitcoin.
2316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A superstitious strategy? on: January 09, 2023, 07:37:44 AM
I don't think we know when luck is on our side. When it seems like it's on our side, everything can turn upside down. I don't think we have a parameter to measure it. Of course, superstitions can motivate us, but I don't think they will do any better. That's why I don't look for too much rationale when playing casino games and that's why I try to bet on sporting events as I think they are more predictable in general. I play casino games for fun, but I definitely don't prefer them too much.
There's no way to measure our luck but when it's there, you'll notice it with your bets and outcomes. When you've been gambling for a long time and there's no superstition that you've relied on, there's no encouragement that you'll get from any of it.
And for the opposite side, when you've been used to it and has believed a lot with everything that happens to you. You'll think of every move you do before, during or after you gamble with superstitious beliefs that you've known.
But as a gambler that have seen a lot from it, whether you believe or not, there's nothing wrong with it. Just gamble all the way and don't mock others with what they think with their gambling styles.
2317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: January 08, 2023, 10:43:46 PM
Anyone aware of Mansion Invitational? Just saw some post about Blacklist International dota 2 team which consist of Karl, Raven, Kuku, Tims and Eyyou. It is what I think the most hyped dota 2 team in PH right now but sadly the are eliminated in the first tournament they have joined which is Mansion Invitational. They are still a brand new team and I guess they are lacking the chemistry they need. I think they are still forgivable despite the elimination they have. I hope that they will do well in DPC if ever or I guess it's a early game over for them.
Yeah, they're hyped but I think it's normal for them to have this debut. It's not a DPC tournament but I guess they're still testing the waters and that's pretty normal for them.
When I'm looking for some dota 2 streamers, I always landed in most of them and I think that they're doing good individually but still need some refreshers as a team to have that bond, well, it's okay on their side and will for sure learn from this loss.
I'm sure fans who bet on them got disappointed because of the result of their recent tournament. Tomorrow they will enter DPC and we will see how their team will perform. If somehow they did produce a bad result or having not so entertaining game, I'm sure people would be angry and a new hype of hate will be born again since I'm guessing that Filipinos are the one mainly betting for them. If the situation got worst for Blacklist dota team, I hope that Blacklist International wouldn't stop producing teams like this. Most likely they will recruit another talents from another country.
Well, there are always the bettors that will blame the team they bet for when they've lost. But here it goes, the DPC for SEA is later and we shall see the Blacklist Dota 2 team play against Bleed Sports who have become the champion for the M88 tournament.
Give them a try and let's see since this is a DPC tour and most teams will want to stay in division 1 and will play all their might and best to be at the top. Let's see who will get the first blood on this first day of the tour.
2318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Basically All Small Cap Staking Coins Had this problem on: January 08, 2023, 09:42:27 PM
These 7 or more coins having working explorers, a few people with coins interested in keeping them going, and most are on an exchange.

With new team members, what is the value of this??

I'm sure interested people would get an airdrop.
Those that are interested people will only be interested in the airdrop and they'll be optimistic that hopefully, it will have a good value when it's on the market.
But to think that they'll be interested in the project and be optimistic about it, I doubt that people are like that nowadays. Most that are interested in a project, they're on those projects that have been in the market for so long and with solid plans on how they're going to keep it.
2319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will Cassino Continue With Wagering Requirements, If Abuse is Eliminated? on: January 08, 2023, 08:48:08 PM
1: What is your opinion on casinos that offers wagering requirements on both deposit and bonuses?
2: what do you think, if all necessary security checks are up to 100% and Abuse is totally eliminated from casinos, do you think gambling sites will make a no wagering requirement on their bonuses?
3: what conditional do you think could perfectly replace the wagering requirement in a casino that will serve players' purposes and also protect the revenue of the casino

1. Nothing, it's part of their marketing and they have to do something to keep their old and new customers and that's one way of doing it.
2. I don't think so, these bonuses and promos have something to do with their marketing and not with security.
3. Many have been doing the giveaways and that's how they're giving back to their players and at the same time, they're also making profit from there.
2320  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I think it's wrong on: January 08, 2023, 01:14:13 PM
I think it's wrong to compare the old bear market history with the future bear market, things could play out differently, I was into crypto in 2019 and I am very sure that there was a bear market years back before 2017, in 2020 there was pandemic, no one saw that coming.
There is nothing wrong to think about cycles and repetitive market histories such as bears or bulls. You're right that it could be different in the next years to come but there's nothing wrong with thinking that someone is comparing the old and future bears.

Fast forward to 2023, someone I knew is expecting some kind of a new pandemic to put pressure on the world once again, he believed that the last pandemic was intentional, what do you think?

Right now some people are still waiting for more downside without any DCA so far, this is a very big risk if you ask me.
Well, this is wrong to think that another pandemic might happen soon but if that's his opinion, he's entitled to that. I'm not thinking that another pandemic might happen just to make the market better. It's too odd to think about that because we how most countries and poor people and even the rich ones have suffered from it.
