1361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 25, 2023, 11:05:20 PM
I am not sure why there is this trend of retired great players having the comparison of their careers to the ones that have also retired. Like having a great player on their roster when they're in their prime. I am talking about Pierce talking about Wade he's saying he could do the same as Dwayne did and will probably have a better run because of having good teammates. I have no idea why there are beefs like this or it's just to make themselves relevant from the news we're having in the NBA.
That's just Paul Pierce being Paul Pierce. He's said a lot of stuff over the years but that's just what he thinks or believe. I wouldn't say it's a "beef". I guess it's in athletes' nature to be competitive in general even after their professional playing years.
Yeah, you guess that's right that even though they're no longer in the scene the name that they've left is still there and the respect is still there though.

On the other hand, GSW is rumored trying to get Howard while him wants to go back in the Lakers.
I've seen this too. He'll probably get more playing time as a Warrior.
I am waiting for some news about him and it's not just him who wants to get back to the NBA but also some other players that have played overseas like Cousins.
1362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin whale 'awakens' after 10 years. on: July 25, 2023, 09:52:09 PM
We will never know the intention of a whale that comes back alive after a decade or even two.
I am doubtful that it is correct if we call such woke-up bitcoins are from whale come backs. I believe that those old-era bitcoins belong to whales who have been still actively latest years. They just woke up their old-era bitcoins and use such woke-up transactions as news.
That's also probably right, they've been active and let those Bitcoins sit there over the long years and are just looking for the right timing to sell. In the end, we're no longer surprised to see that there will be inactive wallets for several years and have been active lately and especially for the next bull run.

Quote
And this is becoming a typical thing when a whale comes back alive with tons of Bitcoins that have been sleeping for so many years.
Millions of bitcoin assumed and estimated to lose but we will see more old-bitcoins wake up. I don't know how many bitcoins actually lost but I know they are gifts for us who own bitcoin today.
Lost coins only make everyone else's coins worth slightly more.  Think of it as a donation to everyone.
With those old and inactive/sleeping wallets for so long, we will never know if they were lost already until the owner of it access it again and tries to move it to exchange. But right about those lost BTCs as what satoshi said.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deposit limits on: July 25, 2023, 12:02:29 PM
Whether there are deposit limits or none, at the end of the day it's still the call of the gambler. He can entirely lose that limit within the day and have it refreshed if the feature allows it after 24 hours has passed. I think the best limit is what is set in our minds and the control that we have for our gambling activities. You always remember what everyone is saying about the amount we can afford to lose. So, if you're the one to control the limits, you'll surely even increase it based on the mood that you have within the day.

But still though, they could find a way to go around this and still can play? I know someone, I will say that his local wallet has a limit (fiat wallet), for deposit and withdrawal. So if he reach that limit he can't used his wallet anymore and will have to wait for the 1st day of the month to reset everything. However, if he wanted to gamble and play, he will simply borrow someone's wallet and continue to play. My point is that still boils down to self control, whether we take advantage of deposit limit or not, still up to us.
Well, that's within the will of the gambler. Despite activating that deposit limit, if he wants to go against that feature he'll certainly gonna find a way to keep on going upon hitting the limit. And in his mind that only means that feature is useless because he's going against what he has activated.

Because if we wanted to, we might think of ways to still continue to play per day even if we have reach our limits.
This is inevitable. Gamblers tend to do that if they're itching to gamble upon hitting the limit, so basically it's a total useless feature for them if they're breaking their own set of rules for themselves to have an adjusted limit that serves as their stopper.

We will never know the intention of a whale that comes back alive after a decade or even two. And this is becoming a typical thing when a whale comes back alive with tons of Bitcoins that have been sleeping for so many years. It just so happens that there are these monitoring bots and software that do track these old Bitcoin addresses that contain a lot of Bitcoins and anything that make them move, it's out of our business but it becomes news after all for many of these media and people that do track them. But if you're going to think of it, this isn't a real matter to think about whenever people are normally moving the Bitcoins that they've held for a long time. They're just like us despite we're not a whale.

Experience the thrill of horse racing and greyhound betting at betzus.com! Place your bets and enjoy the excitement of these fast-paced sports. 🏇🐕💨

Team betzus

Where should it be found? I am trying to look for horse racing as I am curious about what it looks like despite that I am not that really new to it. I have tried to find in which tab it can be found but I haven't seen it. Much better if you just put the actual link of it from your website so that it's easier and gets directed there and no need to look and hover towards it.
1368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers Belief on: July 23, 2023, 11:51:05 PM
I do not agree with what you are trying to say, I believe there is a walk of life that even have a higher form of belief and which is faith.  Religious people are the best example of what I am saying.  I actually disagree with you that a gambler has that belief because as a gambler, I am not confident about the result, though I hope for the best I don't believe that the next role result will be a max win. I believe many gamblers also have the same idea as me when it comes to gambling and gambling result
I reckon, there is a better walk of life where people are thinking for the betterment of themselves. We're not just used to it and we don't see it when we're focusing a lot on gambling. Everyone, you and me, are all the same for the results and they should be positive. However, we don't have control of the situation thus, the results always differ. People is simply taking risk and that's why we are unsure of what's going to be the result of it but it doesn't mean we don't believe that we're not going to win.
1369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your watch list on: July 23, 2023, 02:27:41 PM
What crypto do you think will be making good profits this year and why? I am watching firo, Aptos, dot closely
With the past mistakes that I did with altcoins, I haven't got any idea what I am about to look for but ETH is always included in my list, and of course, BTC! I am surprised to see that I am seeing unpopular altcoins but that's it, you will really never know what are those altcoins that everyone is looking at for this upcoming bull run. I've just got one tip to all of you, if you're able to profit, make sure that you'll never regret getting it.

If TA win rate isnt good for this season then why would really be trying out to pick it out but with the current map then its a huge space for farming but with the recent stat change or skills change
then its not shocking to have those degrade performance.
If I'll be the one to go for TA, I'll make sure that it's going to be a fast and mid-game. It can't stand on the mid-game if it's not yet finished. Supports can micro TA easily and if it's the position 1 of a team, it's easy for them to just lose the game. I think that the entire teams just need to see someone again play a TA at his best. I saw Quinn play a mid-TA but I think that it's not yet the best that I've seen so far this season. There are too many counters for TA lately and a perfect game play needs to have if a team wants to pick it.
1371  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I Use Emergency funds or Sell my Assets ? on: July 22, 2023, 08:03:45 AM
Emergency funds are what you must use if ever you're in immediate need. If you wanna sell your assets and you want to be liquid, you can sell them as well. You get the point why we're having assets and that's for us to have a cash flow whether we will gain through capital gains or through having a passive income out of it. But if that asset in generating income and you've got an emergency funds, don't sell the asset as it will continuously going to make you money and since you have a back up fund through emergency funds. That's all you need to have.
You always need to weight the situation, like what you have said if you have savings that you can still use better to leave your assets, especially if the assets are providing decent passive income.

Or, if you are expecting good bounce from your asset and the chance of making money in the long run,
you only need to touch that asset if there's no available option, and the situation is something that you
can't ignore and there's a call of urgency.
Yeah, it's a matter of what's the best option if both things are available.

It would be more better to use emergency funds kept aside for why purpose, an emergency. You don’t have to include your assets. Assets bring in income and grows the wealth of an individual so I wouldn’t say it’s wise to let go of that property which generates income.
I would probably take a loan from family or the bank even to help sort out the emergency than to sell off my property that is sure to generate income. Selling off assets would be my last resort if all avenues to raise some money have been exhausted.
Right, if the assets are generating money then you don't have to sell them and just leave them alone while using the saved money you've got as the emergency fund. Lucky you are if you've got both choices but everyone has a different situation and it's hard to come up with the idea and choice to make if you don't have that much choices.
1372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: July 22, 2023, 06:29:09 AM
I was in argument with someone. His view is that people who gamble are those that what they have is not sufficient for them and so they try to make more money from gambling. He said if you have sufficient money to take care of your needs that you won't think of gambling. He made reference to some rich people, who don't gamble because they have sufficient money to even gift to charity but that those rich who still gamble are only addicted to it not just because of the money. Therefore, that the percentage of the rich gambling is very small compared to those in middle class and lower class.
To each their own. But I have seen that he's partly correct on this one because on those remote areas where there's not that much opportunity, they resort into gambling as a way of living and earning.

So my question is, is the percentage of the rich gambling lower than the middle and lower class?
You'll never know. Go into renowned gambling places and you'll see a lot of rich people go there and the requirement even is hard for the poor people to get there. That's why the percentage of it are inaccurate because gambling doesn't really have specifics in terms of who are the gamblers and who are not.
1373  Economy / Speculation / Re: Indonesia National Exchange Open in the end of July 2023, Is bullish Start? on: July 22, 2023, 04:27:15 AM
Anything like this news gives a bullish feeling. AFAIK, Indonesia was one of the countries that I have heard that's too strict with Bitcoin and now they're opening an exchange and that's not even the news, the exchange is backed up by the government. Sounds good.
But again, despite this being good news, we know that the entire market should be decentralized, and having a government-supported exchange doesn't sound right. Anyway, we're up to this and we see this coming.
1374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 21, 2023, 04:31:33 PM
Kyrie Irving is my favorite player in the NBA, and it saddens me that he's in this situation. Lebron and Kyrie were a very good duo, they played very well together.
Kyrie definitely needs to wake up, if they can get back together with Lebron they can do great things again.
Well, the reality is that we'll never see them play again. Lebron's days in the league are counted and we don't know if his wish to play with his kid is possible in the nearest future. Whilst Kyrie has been signed by the Mavs. Although trades can happen and they can meet again but who knows if this is really possible and if there's a chance, that's only very slim. LBJ has likely a big part in decision making in trades in LAL and we don't know if he likes to play with Kyrie again.
1375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ERGO the spiritual successor to Bitcoin? on: July 21, 2023, 03:01:32 PM
Their community looks like the early Bitcoin cypherpunks community, lot's of innovation, lots of nerds, lots of technical talking.
If you are seeing positive with that then join them. But you have to know that many projects and fans already said the same thing with the projects that they've supported before but none of them actually replaced bitcoin.

Currently it has a $70m market cap........... Should I sell part of my BTC BTC for ERG?
$70M is still low but who knows if this project you're believing could be near with the top ones. And if you're wanting to sell your BTC for ergo, you decide. But for me, I have learned my biggest mistake in the past and that's not to use my Bitcoin for buying some alts that I like to own.
1376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: July 21, 2023, 12:33:36 PM
Games are almost done for today and that's why tomorrow's matches are going to be exciting as they are. GG is there and as well as other strong teams.
The weaker teams got filtered out from the play-ins, and with more competitive teams in the group stage, we'll probably see more draws like in the DreamLeague.
You're right, two games were already on a tie. And those games are from GG vs Team Spirts and Xtreme gaming vs Quest. And talking about other teams like TSM, I guess that they're improving and starting to beat good teams' asses just like the most recent which is Shopify Rebellion.
I am watching now the match of BetBoom and Tundra and both rosters have complete players and this is why this game is interesting to me. While the other match of Team Secret and Talon's first game has ended and Talon took the game 1.

I can't catch a single bet on this major so I will just leave it alone and only watch the games. This is pure lottery and a lot of trows happened from 20k networth advantage from teams like TSM , Secret and OG.
That's a good decision, just wait until the group stages come and that's tomorrow. That's usually when most of them becomes more serious but it's still a best of 2 games.

Today , seems no different in this first phase of games and I'm glad I'm not placing any bets so far because I would have lost from betting on Liquid 1st map because it seems Aster with Kaka in the team , are way more powerful as a team.
Games are almost done for today and that's why tomorrow's matches are going to be exciting as they are. GG is there and as well as other strong teams. But before this day ends, there are some decider matches because there have been some ties in terms of points (win/lose).
1379  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurship and women on: July 20, 2023, 11:04:47 AM
entrepreneurship is for everyone who has a passion for business, which is different from everyone who wants to do business. That means, there is no discussion of gender, that's clear. and all of us can create a business, as long as we have determination, dedication and passion really. Because there are others when the business slows down, they stop immediately while others continue.
True to that but it's easier to understand that entrepreneurship is just the same as having a business. I know that there's an actual difference on it but for the sake of not widening the discussion about it, let's both agree that there's no gender preference for one to start a business. Talents are for both men and women if it's about owning a business and being an entrepreneur. But the grind and tolerance of staying on one's commitment is where many do fall apart. At the start, it could be enticing and positive but it's not for everyone and many do realize it only at the end.
1380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mistake that prevented your big win. on: July 20, 2023, 09:52:20 AM
So my question is this,as a gambler what mistake have you made when gambling that prevented you from winning big.
Let's discuss.
I am not sure if I was able to make big and there's this point of my gambling life that I was about to hit a big win.

In dice, doubt has always stood in the way of a big win. When I have a strong feeling that 9900x is just a few bets away, I don't put a wager out of fear of "what if." The same thing happens with 99x every time.
Maybe that's also one of my what if, when it's with the dice. When I was carefree and just doing some YOLO, that's just like an almost win but not certain with those prevented me from winning big amounts.
