2301  Economy / Gambling / Re: Watching Our Kids From Something That Could Dangerous To Them on: April 16, 2022, 10:33:52 AM
Is there literally a Parent that would love their children become gambler or at least go to different area where we only wanted them to find best living?
i don't think there are one that in His good mind , so as parent we wanted to prevent this to happen so lets monitor everything that our children may turn too.
I will watch My kids as long as I have Eyes to use it and Ear to listen , as long as I am present in their life? will always be there to make things best.

I am sure every parent wants the best for their children, but this also includes to let them make their own decisions. Protecting children from everything harmful in the world might work at a young age, but once in high school and university they will make decisions on their own. It is on the parents to give them the tools to make the best decisions possible. So instead of outright banning gambling and harmful cell phones games it would be better to try and make them understand why we are so concerned. It is all about the well being of our children, just hard to convince them sometimes. The problem with not allowing things like cell phones and being very strict about it, is that it could also great a stronger desire for it. Especially during some rebel periods what most kids go through during puberty, they could do things just to offend the parents. It's best to try and educate them about the risks and involved and hope for the best.
2302  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold , Silver Or Crypto? on: April 16, 2022, 10:04:58 AM
Many financial advisors suggest gold , silver and cryptocurrencies as the best investment for this decade! what do you think?

Buying gold right now doesn't seem like a good investment to me, the price is just too high. Gold and silver are pretty much the same thing, correlation is very high between the two because investors look at it as a safe haven for money. The problem is that precious commodities don't generate any income, their whole price is based on supply and demand by investors. Only a small fraction is being used in industrial production. In case you already hold gold I would keep it and not sell it. But I also wouldn't buy more of it. Cryptos are a much better option in my opinion with a big upside potential. Making 100% return in cryptos seems much more likely than making 50% in gold.
2303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Fiat Will Always Be The Norm on: April 16, 2022, 09:43:38 AM
I don't think Fiat will always be the norm. It is so right now becayse old man are still in power and unwilling to give it up. A few politicians control the fate of millions. It's the same kind of governments all around the world. Politicians first think about themselves and only later about the ordinary people. It would be good for society if crypto currencies would be playing a bigger role, but for that to happen fiat money needs to lose some power. The problem we face with switching to a more independent financial system is that governments would need to act more prudent and couldn't keep issuing new debt every year. Unfortunately politicians are not willing to make that sacrifice yet. Maybe in 10-20 years we will have a new area of more open minded politicians.
2304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: April 15, 2022, 08:24:12 AM
Frankfurt's elimination of Barcelona is considered to be the best event of recent times for them. Before the match, it was Barcelona that was favored by almost everyone. Frankfurt, on the other hand, believed that they could win this match. With a great game, they closed the 90 minutes ahead 3-0, but they conceded 2 goals in additional time. However, they managed to win the match 3-2. I think that was the biggest thing last night. Congratulations Frankfurt!

What an insane game that was yesterday, I still have goosebumps today. Nobody believed that Frankfurt had a chance against Barcelona. The mood was crazy at the sports bar here, everyone happy and cheering. I wish I had bet some money on the team, problem is that every time I bet money on my home team for a big match they tend to lose - didn't want to yinx it this time. Leipzig - Rangers will be a good game in 2 weeks, I think Leipzig got this one. And then Eintrach Frankfurt is playing West Ham which will be a hard game. Beating Lyon 3-0 was a strong game of West Ham, but I think Frankfurt is so hyped up that they will manage to pull through. Would be amazing to see an all German Finals in the Europa League. Definitely rooting for Frankfurt all the way.
2305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High Rollers on: April 14, 2022, 08:00:15 PM
I understand what you are saying as if I had 23 BTC to spare then I would use that money for something else, however if the person behind that bet earned that money legitimately then they can use their money in any way they want as it is their right to do so.

After all 23 BTC is a huge amount of money no matter where you live and you can do a lot with it to the point that if you lived in a country that was too expensive you could always move out of your country to a cheaper one and probably never have to work ever again, especially if we consider those 23 BTC will get even more valuable in the future as bitocin goes up in price against fiat currencies.

I would always expect a person that is betting 23 BTC to have a lot more money and to not be heavily affected if he loses that bet. The idea of betting everything you own on single wager is frightening to me. Of course it is his money and he can do whatever he wants with it. But that would be very reckless and not a good state of mind. For a super rich person that is not really a big issue losing 1m USD in a bet. Things need to be put into perspective of the individual behind the bet. Sure in some country you could buy a nice house, car and have some spending money around. But in other parts of the world like New York for example, you can get 1-2% of a fancy apartment with that money only, or you could make a 2 week vacation on a super yacht. It's all relative to the total networth.
2306  Economy / Gambling / Re: Watching Our Kids From Something That Could Dangerous To Them on: April 14, 2022, 07:35:01 AM
Many of the cell phones these days are very popular among even the youngest children up to people in their 30s. Two of my cousins are 26 and 29 and both of them play a lot on their phone. Every time I see them they are playing. If they were below 16 this would be even more alarming. I like gaming myself, but only on the PC and not excessively. What should be alarming to the parents is that the kids not only invest a lot of time in these games, but also money. Via the cell phone monthly bill there can be a lot of ingame purchases be added to the account. By default this option is always activated, the parents need to explicitly request their children to be excluded from spending additional money. It's really sad that gambling industry is facing so much backslashes these days and is heavily regulated, but children of any age can play these games.
2307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High Rollers on: April 13, 2022, 07:54:56 AM
Quite surprised to see consecutive high roller of above 20BTC on a single wager. Have any of you come across such big wagers in real-time. Came across this while spending time watching the high rollers on the bets tab. Have anyone came across such big bets, and I don't whether this player have managed to make a win or not. Shocked

That are really big bets, he must be a true whale to be able to afford betting 800.000 USD in one single wager. I am pretty sure someone who can bet so much must have won in the past, otherwise how can he afford it? Selling everything you own for one single 20 BTC bet seems very unlikely to me. The only story I remember was a guy on youtube who sold his house just to put it all on Roulette. Sometimes I like to check also the bets from others at casinos but never seen such a large bet before. A few times I see people bet 0.5 - 2 BTC which is already a high roller in my eyes. And then there are the super rich celebrities like Drake who post their betting slips online, which is always nice to say. But in the end gambling wagers are just a percentage of your total networth. So for the average Joe like me with only small savings betting 100 USD is already a big bet. And if you own a few hundred millions with multiple houses, cars and yachts then betting 500.000 USD is not that much anymore. Everything is relative in life. I wonder if losing 20 BTC would really hurt such a whale.
2308  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which sport interests you!!! on: April 12, 2022, 11:18:52 AM
I was playing Handball in primary school and it is the first place for me among the games I have played with pleasure.

That's funny, Handball was my first ever sport I played in a team. Most of my friends went with football, but I prefered to play something with my arms. In my hometown there was no real basketball team so the alternative was Handball. I played it for many years, but had some injuries in high-school and had to stop playing eventually. After that I never really went for another team sport. Sometimes I play football with friends, but that's only for fun, not competitive. These days the sports I play regularly is badminton and climbing. Both of them you only play with one partner and are not really popular in the betting community. I am glad that climbing is now an Olympic discipline, that should make it more popular long term. Another sport I still play actively is Esports.

2309  Economy / Economics / Re: How to end dependence on russian gas? Heat pumps, electric heaters, alt fuels? on: April 12, 2022, 10:54:27 AM
Europe is still relying heavily on gas at the moment, changing the dependence on Russia could happen in two forms. First, switching from Russian gas to other suppliers than can supply these large amounts needed. Second, would be to get rid of gas all together and go for other energy sources. Both of these options have issues and can't be accomplished short term on my opinion.
The problem with going for other suppliers and stop trading with Russia is that the contracts are long term. Countries can't just cancel them overnight. There might be repercussions in front of the WTO. Also the gas in Europe is distributed via pipelines, the whole system can't just be changed to rely on ships to bring gas now. Same goes for switching to alternative energy solutions. Heat pumps and renewable energy sources sound good on paper, but who pays for that? Most homes can't afford to buy new systems and heaters just because the politicians want it. Luckily it's spring now in Europe so most heating will only be needed again in the winter.
2310  Economy / Gambling / Re: Online casino. What's the reliability of the technology? on: April 12, 2022, 10:37:15 AM
To what extent is the online  slot game machine RTP reliable based on it's technology?

As words in the street has it that it has gained so much popularity than other casino games due to it's simplicity nature.

Let's discuss, what's your view.

I think the RTP we can find online for online slot games is reliable. Most casinos don't program their own slot games but rather buy the slot games from third party companies. If you compare slot games across many different casinos you will notice that they have all the same games. There tons of different slot games out there and the most popular ones we can find at all the big casinos. There is another thread here on the forum about the best slot games at the moment, all of them are developed by companies and then offered to casinos to include in their game catalogue. The RTP for these slot games are quoted online and I don't expect casinos to change these numbers. If it comes out that a casino reports fake RTP numbers than there imagine is ruined and gamblers will switch to other casinos.
2311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you spread BTC to people within you on: April 12, 2022, 08:19:00 AM
Spreading the word about bitcoins over the years was hard work. It took many long conversations with my parents to convince them that investing in crypto is not a lost cause and I will not lose all my money. Unfortunately my parents are too old to invest in bitcoins themselves. At their age they need all their money in cash or money market funds, because sudden medical bills or moving into a retirement home would cost a lot of money. My cousin I got very excited about cryptos, every time I see him we talk about it. He is still in school and has no real money to invest himself, but for his birthday this year I will give him a wallet with sie Satoshi. Among my friends everybody knows about bitcoins, and some even invested themselves. But the majority still hold stocks as their main investment. Maybe over time I can convince them to switch more into cryptos.
2312  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: April 11, 2022, 12:39:42 PM

2313  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you prefer lots of promotions over better RTP? on: April 11, 2022, 12:25:40 PM
In theory I would expect that more promotions and special offers are attracting more customers short term. There should be a strong correlation between a new promotion and higher traffic at a casino. But some of this traffic will probably disappear when the promotion ends. Whereas higher RTP games should keep a higher percentage of the gamblers at the casino. In case the casino has a certain amount of money than can give back to the gamblers either through promotions or RTP, then the casino needs to find the right mix between the two. The thing is that a change in RTP might not really be noticed by the individual gambler. Let's say that the casino changes it RTP from 95% to 96%. It's a big step for the casino, but for the average gambler it only makes a small difference. That's why I prefer to use promotions, here you know exactly what you get and it makes it easier to plan ahead.
2314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sports betting sites that return your money when you lose. on: April 11, 2022, 11:34:01 AM
I can't even access this website, it's hard to give you an advice here if you should put money in it or not. The link already looks very wierd for a website to be honest. Maybe it's blocked in my country or by my provider, both of it doesn't sound very good. I don't want to say it's fake without looking at the site properly, but using VPNs for gambling or sports betting is not a good option also. The whole offer that the bookmaker would cover your losses if you lose sounds misleading. How are they going to make money then if they pay for you? If you win they have to pay and if you lose they also have to pay. If this is true than the company would be out of of business very quickly. Would be needed to check the fineprints of the terms to see what exactly is included in that promotion. There must be some limits to the offer, can't believe for that to be a constant opportunity.
2315  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia wants to build a new world order with China on: April 11, 2022, 07:44:15 AM

High inflation rates weaken USD dominance for sure but are it really possible to replace USD as a reserve currency or the USA will allow that so easily? The era of regional currency is coming?

It is nothing new that China and Russia want to weaken the USD and change the world reserve currency. The only question is if Russia is fine to support Yuan as the new number one world currency? Because China would never settle for another currency as reserve currency that is not the Yuan. And what would Russia gain from all of this? Right now the world is trying to reduce trading with Russia and also dealing with Ruble, it doesn't seem very likely that the Ruble will surpass the Dollar as the world first reserve currency. As for the Yuan, China is a very export heavy country. All their economic growth is based on offering cheap products all around the world. They could ask to be paid only in Yuan in the future, but I am not sure how strong the bargaining power is. If the western countries collective say they will only pay in Dollars or Euros, I think that China still has to accept that. Maybe the picture will look different in 10-15 years, at the moment it seems that the US Dollar will remain as the worlds largest reserve currency.
2316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc and reliogion on: April 11, 2022, 07:27:33 AM
What about btc and reliogions?
If im christian fully full christian i pray everyday and serve full time god how do i know if btc not ban for me if im full god person.
Is anything about crypto or btc what might be against reliongins ?
Any experinces on that ?

No there is no issue with religion and Bitcoins, why should there be one? I am also a Christian but not very active, I rarely go to church and never really pray - only in really bad moments. What I do remember from my studies is that being a good citizen is the goal. Being a friendly and helpful person within your community, helping others and not harming man or animals is very important. All these things don't contradict investing and trading crypto currencies. Alcohol, Cigarettes, Gambling are all not bad things, as long as you don't do them excessively. Everybody needs time after work to regenerate and relax, if you combine that with looking after your finances and invest in Bitcoins its good. Just make sure to follow the laws in your country and you will be fine with the religion aswell.
2317  Economy / Gambling / Re: Another New Rule On Gambling Adverts Ban Celebrities and Sports Stars on: April 11, 2022, 06:41:38 AM

What impact will be received by gambling companies, both fiat and crypto, because we know that gambling companies use celebrities to boost the popularity of these gambling sites?

That is really bad news for the gambling industry in UK. So far it seems that UK is the first major country to start limiting the advertising of bookmakers and casinos. Do we know if there are others? I really hope that other countries will not follow suit. Just looking at crypto.com and other major companies who engaged multiple celebrities over the last 12 month, this would make their advertising options very limited. I understand that we need to protect minors from the harm of unsupervised gambling - it needs to be clear that the celebrities didn't get so rich through gambling and betting but rather through their main jobs in the film/music/sport industry. For me bans and limitations are most of the times a bad thing and will have a negative impact on the crypto world. Using high profile individuals and celebrities for advertising has been done for a long period of time, and the casinos and bookmakers should have checks in place like KYC to make sure that no minors can play on there site. A ban seems to harsh in my opinion.
2318  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I trade cryptocurrency with FX trading knowledge? on: April 09, 2022, 02:53:59 PM
I must admit that I'm truly a newbie in both trading and cryptocurrency at large. I took some courses on trading some months ago, those training were majorly on foreign exchange (trading currency pairs). I've not been able to perfect my strategies though, but I'm curious about cryptocurrency trading, would there be need to learn it specially or general trading knowledge can help in cryptocurrency trading: can I trade cryptocurrency with the knowledge I've acquired in Foreign exchange trading?

Any trading course helps you with crypto currency. There are a lot of subjects in trading which are the same for all types of assets. For example, risk management and controlling your emotions when making investment decision are very important in trading Fiat currencies and crypto currencies. If you have a good trading strategy in the FC you can try to copy it to bitcoins and other cryptos. Just make sure to monitor your trades closely, there is no guarantee that it will also work. The future prices in fiat currencies are much more fixed than crypto prices. This higher volatility creates many opportunities for traders, but can also bring bigger losses. The fiat money is so stable because of central banks that guarantee interest rates. So if currency A can get a 2% risk free interest in 1 year, while currency B has 0% interest from the central bank than we know today currency A will be stronger in 1 year. Such predictability we don't have in the crypto world.
2319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UFC fighters will get their bonus pay by Bitcoin on: April 09, 2022, 02:29:23 PM
Very nice, seems like crypto.com is all over the place these days. Would be nice to know how big their annual marketing budget is. It's a nice way to promote crypto currencies and do some advertising at the same time. Crypto.com seems to target all areas of the sport industry for their ads. This probably will also bring a boost to the whole crypto sport betting community. I wonder how many UFC fighters will actually keep their Bitcoin bonus and how many of them will sell them immediately to convert to USD. For any big athlete with a lot money it would be a good idea to diversify some funds into bitcoins and other cryptos. If I were a fighter I would keep all my bonuses and negotiate some of my salary to be paid in bitcoins too.
