Is there a known problem using Ufasoft's 'bitcoin-miner' for CPUs on Triplemining ? (Error 80190193)

I simply can not get it to connect due to an error, yet all my other workers connect fine without a problem.

I have tried different usernames etc with failure, then used those same usernames/worker login details for Video Cards without problems.

I can use the Ufasoft CPU miner on every other Pool I have connected to thus far (5 total) with only Triplemining giving me troubles.

Just to make sure, you use worker+password correctly, create a new worker and use that to connect.

BTW, you can get some fast help from our IRC channel too. Freenode has a #triplemining channel.
For web IRC client http://webchat.freenode.net/

I've tried numerous user/pass combinations that all fail on Ufasoft CPU miner, but work on my OpenCL Video Card miners......I have even taken existing WORKING user/pass's to try, but still fail with Ufasoft CPU miner (Error 80190193).

Sorry son, but I am business economist, and now living in europe.
Not reading carefully the loan right happens. And this happend to thousands of people.
Perhaps you should consider a career change ? or atleast stop telling people what it is that you do for a living, considering your situation.

Unfortunately the world is full of pain, victims and bad luck. With this in mind, I personally would like to thank you for being one of those statistics, because at the end of the day, someone has to do it and better you than me.

To finish with a quick word of advice: Have you ever considered making your plea for financial aid in person ? such as going door to door where you live ? or somewhere in your local area so that you can add further weight to your claim by showing people first hand about your situation ? rather than begging complete strangers on the Internet ? Asking for money in person with a starving child holding your hand might work wonders for you.

....just a thought. Good luck in the future.

I would really like the chance to become a more active part of the Bitcoin cumminity and would appreciate being Whitelisted if at all possible.
Thank you in advance,
Allan

Understood about the Canadian bandwidth, it can be very costly (I live in Canada myself). I currently have a deal with a buddy who owns a datacenter here, it won't be unmetered for Canadian products. Our unmetered products will be leaning towards the off shore side more.

I didn't think of that, would you recommend every 12 hours?
Like I said about Backups...on an individual or per-basis.

Offering local time-zone specification (they say where they are from) to a client during signup is important, as you will know where to put him (with geographically-like users) so that you know exactly what the WEEKEND is and when NIGHT TIME is in order to do maintenance and backups.

Once every 12hours is more than enough, as even the higher end companies only offer once every 24hrs, so that can definately be a selling feature for you.

You also have to remember to sell the benefits of each location...and price accordingly.
ie. Canada = not prone to natural disaster/communism/Patriot Act/Big Brother....lol.
New Orleans server = most likely under water at times etc...get it ?

Being the cheapest is not always the best, but still offer value for whatever you charge.

We will be using Canada....

...Backups will be made every 2 hours.

2 Points of concern to look into further before you advertise them.

First off; I am Canadian and know for a fact that Canadian Bandwidth is EXPENSIVE. My servers currently reside in Planet#6 in Dallas, TX and have been that way for nearly a decade. Unmetered products in Canada are nearly NON-EXISTANT.

Second; Promising Backups every 2 hours may cause LOAD problems. It sounds great and looks good on paper, but it's something you have to evaluate on a PER-basis me thinks Wink

Not trying to be negative, just trying to help.

i have noticed ppl that overclock "to extreme" often create a lot os "stale" or "invalid" shares. dropping a few Mhz can improve your accepted share and lower stale share rates thus giving a better return Smiley
hope thats a help
Smiley

My problem was never excessive Stales/Invalids.... it simply took a long time to produce anything (other than heat....lol).

Unfortunately, I have peaked as high as 5% Stales at times, but this is uncommon for the most part. I still see the odd stale share, same as always.
This 'tuning' has not affected Stales for the good or bad.

How long of a period are you taking to get shares/hour?  It can vary.
I used 2 different pools with LONG rounds and monitored each for 3 hours on 2 seperate occasions/rounds.

**I should clarify though**

I run 3 cards (all 6870's) in the test machine in question, with the lowest card starting approx 260+ and the top card of the 3 doing 290+ Shares/hour during the testing/monitoring, using the most basic OpenCL setup in Guiminer with "-v -w128 -f1".
The same card was not always the highest producer, the 3 cards all maintained 260+ and each would peak at over 290/hour for periods of 30mins or more before leveling off to 280-ish.

Prior to this, clocking the cards as high as I could get them stable, producing nearly 315Mhash/s each.....they would never peak over 250 shares/hour.

This really only applies to those who overclock their video cards.

I realize that every discussion around here has to do with how high people can tune their HASH RATES to.......

BUT, has anyone ever paid attention to their SHARES/HOUR ?

Recently I have been using my average SHARES/HOUR in Guiminer as a 'fine-tuning' tool of sorts and have achieved measurable results.
The math speaks for itself.

By simply turning down the overclock by 1 or 2 Mhz, I can increase my SHARES/HOUR on a single card by about 50 to 70 extra SHARES/HOUR...and able to maintain it.
(HD 6870 @ 302MH/s, 980 MHz GPU/Mem, 1280mV, 290+ SHARES/HOUR in Guiminer).

I have tried to counter this by adding more Voltage to the card, but only saw more heat generated and not more shares.
The 1-2 MHz drop in clock speeds was enough to increase output and not affect overall HASH RATES by too much. The trade-off is more than worth it.

Are you 'riding the ragged edge' with your overclock ? time to re-evaluate things. Save heat, card life and increase output.

I'll shut up now..lol

Cheers,
Allan.
