this is what you get from a strong btcg "supporter" to lazy to look for himself the real facts happened lately
Ooohh....a fan club.
It seems you take donations (LMAO) for what you post, so how much would it take for a bottom feeder like you....to NOT POST ?
(btc ready and waiting....just name an amount)
2162  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Slush and his relation to DDoS attackers on: October 26, 2011, 07:53:58 PM
Oh c'mon. What's your point? It's one thing to say slush should have done an opt-in beta as eleu suggested or to say it was a rash decision to post about some other pool having some correlation to the source of the DDoSes. Perhaps it was emotional and written with way too less sleep. We can talk about that and I guess the two persons in question already did that with the nessecary professionality. At least they are not mud-wrestling on the forum. However this are things you might criticize and all other may contribute to this discourse if you think its still nessecary.

But IMHO its something else to oppose slushs reputation and his integrity regarding payouts of his pool. It doesn't seem opportune to accuse someone of something which can be falsified with a look at the block explorer.
Well, luckilly Slush's army of "CRIMINAL OPOSITION" is large enough for him to find a shoulder to cry on.....

With the amount of retards posting on this forum that all seem to have taken their lead from HIS accusations, it's a wonder that he still gets the level of respect he does......Oh right, he would NEVER give into a Botnet. Slush = JESUS....holier than thou. Keep fighting the good fight Slush and be sure to leave a trail of disparaging comments and accusations along the way, only to fuel the fires and posts of complete RETARDS that continue to fight in your honor......EVEN THOUGH YOU SEEM TO HAVE MADE PEACE WITH IT (or so I was just informed). It looks like your mission has been accomplished, but it's nice to see that you did not come out unscathed, as your pool has taken a nice drop in hashing power in the process.

But hey, at the end of the day, you were the first BIG pool to offer merged mining....right ?

Profit at any cost.....JUST REMEMBER TO SAY SORRY.
2163  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Slush and his relation to DDoS attackers on: October 26, 2011, 07:22:17 PM
That's everything what I want to say.
So then, without the NMC bounty, did you use BTC or cash to pay the Botnet OP to attack other pools in order to buy you enough time to be the first big pool to get merged mining completed and made public ?
2164  Bitcoin / Pools / Slush and his relation to DDoS attackers on: October 26, 2011, 05:33:43 PM
Hi,

Quote
I have very strong evidence that Slush is directly to blame for the recent DDoS attacks on bitcoin.cz.

I think I have finally stumbled across enough concrete evidence using nothing but the deductive reasoning skills learned on this forum in the aftermath of the finger pointing at another Pool for it's so-called responsibility in the recent wave of DDoS attacks against competing pools.

Fortunately the timeline's speak for themselves and it will be difficult to argue the facts once provided.

Slush was recently caught mining NMC without the concent of his pool. Untill questioned, he had given no evidence that the NMC would be returned to his userbase, although once caught, he did one of the best back peddling routines I have ever witnessed on this forum, attributing 'Testing' to the reasoning behind his abuse of authority as a mining pool operator.

Here's where the situation becomes more of a chicken vs. egg scenario, due to attacks being ongoing.

There is strong evidence to support a claim that the secretly mined NMC that Slush aquired was to be used as a payoff to a Botnet OP to keep bitcoin.cz safe from attacks and once paid, the attacks would then be focused on other competing pools, funded by Slush himself.

Unfortunately, once this masterplan began falling apart at the seems, thanks to the tireless efforts of others in the NMC community (wondering where such a large amount of NMC could have been mined from) and their efforts to find the culprit, Slush was forced to rethink his strategy and come clean before official accusations were made - meaning the NMC that were to be used as an insurance policy, would now need to be redistributed back to the users who's resources were actually responsible for their generation/mining in the first place.

With no NMC bounty left to be paid to the Botnet OP, Slush was left to suffer a DDoS attack in conjunction with the other pools that he had initially wanted other attacks directed at in the process, but this was not all for nothing as it were, because during this downtime slush had re-thought his plan and decided to impliment official merged mining, to take advantage of the dire situation and make it work the best that he could...in the grand scheme of things.

Now, throw in the odd sad post, an attempt to further damage another pool by routing DNS traffic thier way....and one might just have enough time to re-work a pool so that he could be one of the first (PUBLIC) merged mining pools, while others were forced to deal with the attacks themselves.

Best,
bitlane.

Any chance of 'classic' 5 reel - 5 line slot games coming in the near future ?
2166  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1000 GH/sec] BTC Guild - Pure PPS Mining, LP, SSL, No Invalid Blocks on: October 25, 2011, 07:15:33 PM
also, I am anti botnet and will support a place that is anti-botnet.
For Christ's sake.....GIVE IT A FUCKING REST ALREADY. Move to another pool and quit your crying. No one is forcing you to mine anywhere.

THIS POOL IS NOT PRO-BOTNET. IT NEVER PAID A BOTNET and it NEVER SENT A BOTNET ATTACK TO ANY OTHER POOLS.

Now run along to Slush's Pool and be sure to give him Da' mad-shit dope-ass props when you arrive IN HIS POOL's THREAD.
(then be sure to ask him WHY he took so long to pay out 8 decimal pts BTC, while every other pool was doing so and if he ever planned to give back the 'secretly-mined NMC to the community if no one caught him.....while he used his miners to get his pool stable WITHOUT telling anyone, while putting THEIR BTC INCOME AND MINING PERFORMANCE IN JEOPARDY IN THE PROCESS)

In short,

PISS OFF.

coinserver4 seems to be kicking some serious ass for me.....pretty much ZERO BTC Stales, but I still see a few NMC stales at the start of each block.
I am more than satisfied. My BTC stales % has gone down steadily, decreasing from over 6% earlier to about 2% and still dropping. I should see under 1% average later tonight if all goes well....based on the performance as of late.

Looks like I found a server that works for me after all.
2168  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [149 GHs] NMCBit Merged Mining is here! PPS for NMC and BTC enabled on: October 25, 2011, 02:32:21 PM
...and all at once, each worker 4+ stales in a row....

It seemed to coincide with the resetting of my NMC shares at the bottom of the page and updating to the top balance.

Did this mean the end of a NMC Block ? there was no LP notification in my miners, so does this mean that NMC does not send out an LP notification when a new block is found ? but rather stale all shares instead ? (including BTC shares in my control panel).....

FYI, no stales since that hicup.....

Try connecting to
coinserver4.nmcbit.com
See if that helps.

MAGIC....so far. 0 stales since I switched. Thanks.

Traceroute pretty much sums it up for me....lol

BTCGuild is a straight-shot with minimal lag & hops.

NMCbit for me, is nothing but long ping times and several timouts (18/30) along the way....lol

Looks like it was not meant to be, for me anyways.

Where do you live? In the EU North America or Asia?
Western Canada....on the largest cable ISP in the West having big-phat pipes in every direction.

CGMiner gets stuck with the last IP address reboot the miner computer and that should clear it up.
Rebooted miners, rebooted router/cleared DNS cache, power cycled cable modem....... and no significant change and stale rate climbing once again.
2173  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [149 GHs] NMCBit Merged Mining is here! PPS for NMC and BTC enabled on: October 25, 2011, 01:20:43 PM
I'm still fightin' high stales.... still over 5% and climbing.

I have gone 200+ stales per 4,000 shares........I don't get it.

It's not like I am doing anything different from BTCG.....

2174  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [149 GHs] NMCBit Merged Mining is here! PPS for NMC and BTC enabled on: October 25, 2011, 12:39:35 PM
I am a big BTCG supporter....but out of curiosity, I decided to give NMCBIT a try.

What I can say is that initially, I see a few more stales than I am used to (still only around 1%, compared to my 0.35% average on BTCG)
.....but hoping to see if Merged Mining can make up for it, since you xchange it (NMC) onsite - so it's a no loose deal Wink

This is ofcourse all within the first hour, so I will let approx 4gh/s go for 24hrs and see how things go.

Great job on the pool by the way.
Allan

The stales are caused because I've been switching servers on the DNS.  I think I have made the last change for the day so your stales should drop.

That's good to know because I am currently running @ over 6.5% stales......lol

I actually dropped my scan time down to 20secs (from 60 default in CGMiner) to help...and it did. Can I go back to default ?

2177  Bitcoin / Project Development / Web Developer/Partner? required for BTC related Entertainment site on: October 22, 2011, 07:17:33 PM
I am currently looking to get a small project off the ground and am either looking to hire a web developer or take on a partner.

I am essentially looking to create the 'Jerry Springer of BTC' sites.

If there's one thing I have learned in my short time as a BTC community member, it's that there are alot of people looking for handouts....LOL
I would really like to organize things and get them, their stories and other's comments (as well as donations to the most pathetic) in a common place, rather than have to read forum signatures or posts here, with them begging for BTC.

I think you will pretty much get the picture after clicking....
http://www.btcbum.com/

I am open to suggestions from interested parties/potential hires, prospective partners etc.

I really only planned to supliment the 'take' side of things using Google Adds etc, with everything being offered free...so nearly non-profit and most likely, operating at a loss (which I am fine with) as I already have the available server space and bandwidth just sitting dormant, being paid for already.

If you are interested in chatting, hit me up.

Valid % has been added to the table.
That looks awesome...much better than a seperate column.

The performance of the new PPS pool is unbelieveable. I have generated a whole 1 stale in over 2,000 shares and it came from a laggy-Wifi-connected machine using 1 worker account that has 4 actual worker threads....so basically my own fault.

Keep up the good work.
2179  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~1000 GH/sec] BTC Guild - Pure PPS Mining, LP, SSL, No Invalid Blocks on: October 22, 2011, 05:47:57 PM
Any chance of an ACCEPTED % in the Accepted totals cell at the bottom of the stats ?
(since there are officially stats for 3 different types of 'bad' shares and a single GOOD # is easier...)

I'll add a Valid % column to the end of the table for each worker/total in just a few minutes.
Awesome....
Last but definately not least..LOL..... New Pool seems to be missing the 24hr counter, or will that appear only after the first 24 hours is complete ?
