2001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pool Ops are now the Alt Currency Police on: January 06, 2012, 02:34:37 PM
In this case, Merged Mining was not a tool, BUT A WEAPON that served the purpose that the Pool Op intended to use it for.....AS HE EXCLAIMED WITH JOY ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION, yet posting logs here to prove it would only result in the removal of said logs due to protest by Luke himself.
Go figure....

Why not just post the logs.  I doubt mods would remove it.  If anything it *may* (not that I speak for mods or admins) lead to a scammer tag and/or banning if they prove what you say they prove.
Luke already protested previously posted IRC chat logs and had them removed earlier. Any further posting of similar at this point would only serve to entertain the masses while possibly jeopardizing some of our own standings on this forum.
I am actively trying to obtain more chat logs as I write this, for my own amusement, if nothing else.
2002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pool Ops are now the Alt Currency Police on: January 06, 2012, 02:06:49 PM
Miners and exchanges who stupidly believed a short lock period on a new chain was sufficient broke it.
...and Pool Ops that abuse hashing power that doesn't belong to them to attack the competition, only to refuse transaction processing, orphaning everyone in the process.
Exactly....nothing wrong with that.

I honestly wish that I could reach through my screen and poke everyone in the forehead and scream WAKE UP, that uses the 'Merged Mining' excuse to help Luke's cause. IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MERGED MINING OTHER THAN MERGED MINING ITSELF BEING USED MALICIOUSLY.

2003  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Eligius-miners: Do you agree with what is done with your hashing power? on: January 06, 2012, 01:47:18 PM
I will personally sell every Bitcoin asset I have and invest everything into driving Luke Dash Jr's involvement in Bitcoin into the ground if he is a part of it publicly, with as much bad press as I can possibly muster, just to see him go down unless ties are cut with him.

Oh noes.  Don't do that.  Please.

I haven't seen proof of anything.  Still your childish and impotent threats just make you silly.

Honestly Bitcoin has survived DDOS attacks, Mybitcoin, largest chain being attacked, a rise to $32 and then a fall to $2, endless hype and then crushing negative press, reports of stolen wallets worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

It survived all that but it can't survive you?  Inflated sense of self worth?
Allow me to rephrase....
My attack(s) are and would be intended for Luke Dash.....not Bitcoin. It would just be unfortunate if his negative publicity hurt Bitcoin, that's all.
Inflated sense of READING skills on your behalf ? Next time, try reading it out loud, then again...and repeat if required.
2004  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [349 GH] Eligius pool: ~0Fee SMPPS, no reg, RollNtime, hop OK, BTC+NMC merged! on: January 06, 2012, 01:39:59 PM
Luke should clear his name before he does get attacked.

There is no clearing of his name at this point. He provided all of the details himself, as if proud. Well, let him be proud.

I find it hard to believe that if he honestly feels that he did nothing wrong, why did he remove all personal information from his personal websites including his family blog etc ?

That's right. Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

I have been accused of citing libel, but when the proof had been provided by the accused, in the form of chat logs.....how is it libel ?

I have also been accused of being off topic with my accusations. Well, I am posting in THE POOL THREAD because the Pool as a whole was used to maliciously attack other's work. Looks 'On Topic' to me.

Anyone still mining here should give their heads a shake, especially if their comfort in mining in this pool was due to some sort of religious tie - as Luke has proven that means nothing and has clearly shown the limits (or lack there of) of his hypocracy, so others shouldn't feel obligated to stay because of that either.
2005  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Eligius-miners: Do you agree with what is done with your hashing power? on: January 06, 2012, 01:33:20 PM
So he used merged mining and kept the coin? He stole? Details, link?
It had NOTHING to do with merged mining. It was a deliberate and malicious attack on the chain and refusal to process transactions, killing everyone else in the process using the power of his mining pool.....without anyone's consent. Many of us witnessed this as he posted a link to the Coiledcoin thread, with him saying "Coiledcoin is now closed" and him boasting about the attack in chat on BTC-e exchange....where he was banned from not long there after.

His pool should be banned from this forum and him marked as a scammer, as well as being removed entirely from the Bitcoin Project.

I will personally sell every Bitcoin asset I have and invest everything into driving Luke Dash Jr's involvement in Bitcoin into the ground if he is a part of it publicly, with as much bad press as I can possibly muster, just to see him go down unless ties are cut with him.

He has proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that he belongs with the ranks of Bruce at this point. Chalk up another win for CryptoCoin trust (or mistrust as it were)...
2006  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Open Letter to Luke-JR About Alt-Coin Attacks on: January 06, 2012, 01:24:08 PM
Now that luke has been BANNED from the BTC-e Exchange, I am sure the Staff there would be more than happy to share chat logs with not only his boasting about his current and past ventures, but his upcoming plans as well.....in regards to Alt Coins and his feelings on each and every one of them in detail.

Being a witness to alot of this, I can definitely say he wasn't shy about it.
2007  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [349 GH] Eligius pool: ~0Fee SMPPS, no reg, RollNtime, hop OK, BTC+NMC merged! on: January 06, 2012, 08:35:28 AM
Well that is the first thing I thought of when I seen all them blocks starting to fly by when he pulled a scumbag slush move by secretly starting to mine with massive hash power, when people start doing things undercover on the down low they usually have something to hide. And there he is claiming to be a god faring man, yeah right.

I'm not aware of any "undercover on the downlow"  Luke was pretty up front about it.  If he hadn't come right out and said what he was doing I'm guessing that most people simply wouldn't know at this point, I guess doublec would be figuring it out by now (esp given what luke has been saying lately about MM alts).  Obviously you didn't see any big discussion about CoiledCoin because the whole chain appeared out of nowhere a few hours ago with an exchange and such.

The religious thing is tired trolling.

You should also lose your position as MOD, as you are completely unable to be objective and clearly and openly are siding with a scumbag, while making further excuses to aid in his cause.
2008  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [349 GH] Eligius pool: ~0Fee SMPPS, no reg, RollNtime, hop OK, BTC+NMC merged! on: January 06, 2012, 07:31:09 AM
It's great to know that we have good people like Luke watching out for us.

I'm still trying to figure out what happened to the 20-odd blocks I lost that all had numerous confirmations from the network, yet turned invalid....and still continue, as I am keeping my miners up.

You're getting orphaned. Standard bitcoin chain decision code won't switch off your own chain and onto something else unless the something else is _longer_, being tied isn't enough.  If someone outpaces the reset of the network by enough of a factor it's unlikely anyone else will get any blocks in even without any modification to ignore third party blocks.

DoubleC's pool benefited from supermajority induced orphaning during big pre-MM NMC boom when it was >>50%, and I had a great many orphans in my solo mining. This was on a 10 minute chain which is less subject to orphaning, and on a chain that was worth non-trivial money at the time. ::shrugs::

Jesus Christ. He bragged about killing it on purpose...in public, then SPAM'd the exchange (where he was banned). This had NOTHING to do with merged mining. It was malicious intent to kill off the new Alt.
2009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pool Ops are now the Alt Currency Police on: January 06, 2012, 07:20:15 AM
A great way to introduce new users to Cryptocurrencies and instil faith.

So we should instill false and unjustified faith in random cryptocoin ponzi schemes?    Since you won't provide the link as facts are an antidote for FUD: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=56675.0

They only got 7 before Luke brute forced the plug to be pulled for "being a scamcoin".

So— You're mad that your 'friend' only got to mine seven blocks before someone with a lot more hash-power dominated the chain? Sounds kinda petty.

Pointless.....another lukedashjr clone......
You guys must go to church together.
2010  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [349 GH] Eligius pool: ~0Fee SMPPS, no reg, RollNtime, hop OK, BTC+NMC merged! on: January 06, 2012, 07:13:33 AM
so what actually happened, blocks were orphaned?  Can't that happen with any block chain?

He mined a bunch of blocks drove the difficulty into the stratosphere and didn't process transactions, etc. In other words, behavior like some bitcoin miners— except in bitcoin they're not >>>>50% of the total hash power, etc.

You'll note the lack of links to the relevant thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=56675.0), presumably because the accusations sound much better without the factual information behind them, or the posts pointing out the extreme scammyness  of a bitcoin-clone opening  with exchange support on day 0, and the touting of unfinished pre-release features from the reference bitcoin client as major innovations.

I'm all for interesting altchains that serve real purposes, like namecoin— but so far the currency like ones mostly seem to be ponzi schemes which risk hurting bitcoin's credibility if they have any effect at all.   At least we can learn from their security challenges even if we don't learn anything from their absent innovation.

2011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pool Ops are now the Alt Currency Police on: January 06, 2012, 07:10:58 AM

Wow. I happened to follow this from the start. I was showing a new-to-mining friend how things work by havingthem mine the brand new CoiledCoin. They only got 7 before Luke brute forced the plug to be pulled for "being a scamcoin".  Allchains.info has delisted Eligius and I suspect there will be other fallout as well. What a Krunky way for my friend to learn about mining  Huh
A great way to introduce new users to Cryptocurrencies and instil faith.

Good job Luke.....IDIOT.
2012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pool Ops are now the Alt Currency Police on: January 06, 2012, 06:52:28 AM
I would love to hear (or read) from a miner at Eligius pool and how THEY feel about having their hashing power used for something they didn't consent to or agree with ?
2013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Pool Ops are now the Alt Currency Police on: January 06, 2012, 06:49:43 AM
As a precedent has been set by Luke Dash Jr, now every pool operator can be an Alt Chain police officer and attack any new Alt that they see fit, using their entire pool to do so, with or without the knowledge of the miners that belong to their pools.

Luke took it upon himself to 'Police' an Alt Chain and kill it, by using the hashing power of his pool to 51% attack it.

Should we all look forward to these types of attacks on new projects if/when a self-richeous pool op get's his panties in a bunch ?

How do pool miners feel about having NO SAY or CONTROL over what an Op does with YOUR HASHING POWER ?

Just to be clear.... Luke Dash Jr is an idiot.
2014  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [349 GH] Eligius pool: ~0Fee SMPPS, no reg, RollNtime, hop OK, BTC+NMC merged! on: January 06, 2012, 06:05:05 AM
Everyone that mines in this pool just gave up their hashing power unknowingly for luke to use to vandalize another person's project.

Due to the knot in luke's panties, he decided it was his god given right to miss use the pool's hashing power to bring down a new alt coin that was just introduced today.

Nice one luke ! Chalk one up for you and God.
2015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [RELEASED] Coiledcoin - yet another cryptocurrency, but with OP_EVAL! on: January 06, 2012, 05:44:12 AM
CoiledCoin now closed. Have a nice day.
Luke, you are a bible thumping RETARD. Burn in hell you pedophile.
2016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [RELEASED] Coiledcoin - yet another cryptocurrency, but with OP_EVAL! on: January 05, 2012, 11:04:42 PM
Is there any way to easily setup MERGED SOLO mining for Coiledcoin and Bitcoin without having to setup an entire pool for your own personal network ?
2017  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER miner overclock monitor fanspeed RPC in C linux/windows/osx 2.1.1 on: January 04, 2012, 07:02:22 AM
When I switched to cgminer a couple months back I noticed that I always had a much higher reject rate. I get typically 3-7% rejects regardless of pool, Ars, Eligius, BTCGuild and others. Not sure what causes this and haven't tried to debug yet. I just let it be because I like the interface and monitoring in cgminer but it would be nice to track this down and see why the rejects are high. Before, same HW/OS setup, I used to get more like 0.7%.
I would say there is definitely something wrong with your setup, especially if you consider 0.7% a good rate.

The only reason I am responding, is I notice that you mention BTCGuild as being problematic for you and that happens to be my primary pool, so I am quite familiar with the performance there, as I also use it as a benchmark against other pools when I am bored and changing things up - yet always return to BTCGuild.

On BTCGuild, using my WORST MINER as an example....
After nearly a Million shares submitted since I last reset it's stats, my VALID % is 99.83, leaving 0.17% to Stales/Dupes/Invalids.
(Total Shares Submitted: 837520 ..... Valid = 836092 Shares ..... Stales/Dupes/Invalids etc = 1428 shares)

This is my current 'Bastard Miner'.....a mixed-card machine (5770, 5830, 6870) and to be honest, I do most of my 'testing' using this rig, hence it's higher rejected rate (for me anyway)....not to mention, the software environment (not including CGMiner) is far from being optimal.

I have also been using CGMiner since version 1.6.0 and every release tends to get better for me, so I would definitely have a look at your setup, both software and hardware, not simply pointing a finger at CGMiner.
2018  Economy / Goods / Re: Supermicro lga775 workstation boards, cpu's, ram and heatsinks on: January 04, 2012, 06:37:56 AM
This is a server/workstation class board. Not some foxconn/biostar $40 special.
Not to crap in your thread, but I simply found that comment quite funny, as Foxconn build about 75% of all Intel Chipset motherboards (including most of Intel Retail boards) on the market. Biostar...perhaps questionable. Foxconn.....I think you would be pleasantly surprised if you really knew how much they were involved in motherboard manufacturing for other brands/companies.

Good luck with the sale.
