1361  Other / Meta / Re: Unjust scammer tag on: May 14, 2012, 08:15:09 PM
I have been in bitcoin since the value was $0.58 at gox
I have been registered since May 10, 2011. I am an early adopter.
Nope. I don't see it.
2.5 BTC for selling your Sig was a big deal to you....

I am mining with 8*5870s.
With that mining power, why was a sale for 2.5 BTC even worth your time ?
Nope, I don't see it....you are full of pooh.

i am going to cash out when the reward doubles
Do you plan on waiting till approx December 2012 when it HALVES, then using a time machine to go back to summer 2012 when it's DOUBLED (back @ 50 BTC Block reward) ?
Or perhaps you think that the Block reward is doubling at the end of the year instead of halving ?

Again, I don't see it. Early adopters don't waste their time with 2.5 BTC deals, let alone flush their reputations down the toilet for 22.5 BTC as part of a Scam.

You will have to do better to convince me.
1362  Other / Meta / Re: Unjust scammer tag on: May 14, 2012, 08:04:11 PM

Will that also happen to me ? I pay you whatever....

Let's face it, you will never pay that debt because if you did, what angle would you use to get attention on the forum ?

Obviously that 22.5 BTC is far more important to you than you let on, otherwise, you would have simply returned it.

Why do you even hang out on this forum anyways ? Are you a miner ? I find it difficult to believe that.
You sold your sig for 2.5 BTC (obviously you thought you struck it big when you were overpaid an additional 22.5 BTC for your 'service')

During your Bitcoin history, I would bet that you have never had more than 100 BTC (that belonged to you anyways).

Does that sound about right ?
1363  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Announcement] Bitscalper under new management. on: May 14, 2012, 06:36:15 PM
looks like someone on ignore wants attention.

Too bad the piece of trash is on ignore...  Grin

You still have failed to reveal just how many BTC you lost.

You continue to rant and rave like a crazy person every time you post, yet for all we know, you could have simply lost 5 BTC and are just using this forum as a place to vent, as instructed by your Psychiatrist.

Does this entire situation have more to do with being fondled by an Uncle when you were a child, than the BTC in question ?
Is there some sort of relationship between the nightmares you experience and either Bitscalper or MiningBuddy ?
Did your 'friendly' Uncle call you 'buddy' ? ...or perhaps 'Scalper' ?

I just want to ensure that your rage is properly directed for maximum effectiveness...for both you as well as the receiving party.

Let us help you. Let us in. Tell us about the times he babysat you and maybe, just maybe, we can help you work through this all.

So what happened to this Huh

Did you guys get the scammer in the UK.

They are currently 22.5 BTC short, in order to continue the investigation .....and are currently seeking a 'donation' in that amount from a forum member to cover additional expenses.
1366  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Post Your Mining Rig Efficiency on: May 14, 2012, 05:23:28 PM
thanks.
I will give that a try once I get my rigs running 5 cards.
1367  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Post Your Mining Rig Efficiency on: May 14, 2012, 05:07:47 PM
its all about voltage....   5x7970 @ 930/800/0.937v   is  830 watts.  2770Mh

im guessing 4x7970 same would be about 650 watts.

Does Powertune have any effect on your system(s) with 7970's ?

i have never used powertune..  if it does anything with volting, it wont work

What are you using for Voltage control in Windows/CGMiner ?
Your numbers are crazy....I wouldn't even think possible.

I just began setting up my new 7970 rigs and so far:

- 4x Gigabyte Reference HD7970 @ stock voltage, 1100mhz GPU, 950mhz Mem
- Gigabyte X58 I7 Motherboard
- Xeon 5506 80W Quad Core CPU
- 4GB DDR3
- SATA HDD
- Win7 x64, CAT 12.3, CGMiner 2.4.1
- 2 Power Supply (OCZ Z-Series) Setup (80+ 850W for Motherboard/Slot Power + 2 Cards Aux Power, 80+ 650W for Aux/External Power to 2 cards + HDD + additional cooling fans)

(655 MH/s each x 4) 2,620 MH/s @ 1,000W at the plug (UPS with LCD Screen/Power Readout)

So, I guess that's approx. 2.62 MH/watt

I am currently trying to find a way to trim the power usage a bit.....
1370  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: HD7970 Reference Card Unlocked BIOS on: May 14, 2012, 01:02:42 PM
I have a couple BIOS files I am going to try out.

I found an 'Extreme Reference' BIOS straight from ATI as well as an Asus BIOS for Reference cards, said to be unlocked.

I have 'get out of jail free' cards here (thank you dual bios switches...lol) so I might as well take advantage of them and play.

I appreciate your help.

1371  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: HD7970 Reference Card Unlocked BIOS on: May 14, 2012, 12:51:48 PM
have you tried setting --gpu-vddc ?
I just started at 0.95 and eased it down till I found minimum stable voltages, that allowed me to up the clocks on both cards to run stable Smiley

also --temp-target 69 will make your fans run harder than the default 75 - and that uses more power too (unless ambient temp is quite low of course)

I tried --gpu-vddc but the only thing it did was screw up my --memdiff setting, with all cards reverting to stock mem clocks when (gpu-vddc was present) in my BAT file and no effect on the card voltages.

I confirmed this by setting it (-gpu-vddc) to an unreasonably low setting to force a lockup, yet everything stayed running fine and no voltage change.

I'll be happy when the mini rigs arrive. There will be a special celebration.  Wink

I just added 15 7970's to my farm and did the happy dance..... you probably don't want to know or see the dance I would do if a mini-rig or 2 showed up here...LOL
1373  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: HD7970 Reference Card Unlocked BIOS on: May 14, 2012, 12:14:08 PM
Well, this setup below is drawing 1,000W at the plug (well, at the UPS as it tells me in it's fancy little LCD window).

- 4x Gigabyte Reference HD7970 @ stock voltage, 1100mhz GPU, 950mhz Mem
- Gigabyte X58 I7 Motherboard
- Xeon 5506 80W Quad Core CPU
- 4GB DDR3
- SATA HDD
- Win7 x64, CAT 12.3

**output from my API Monitoring App (a little different from standard CGMiner output, but all info is there)

Using: -I 9 --auto-fan --auto-gpu --gpu-powertune 5 --gpu-engine 1000-1100 --gpu-memdiff -150 --temp-target 69

Code:
GPU 0:	67.0C   4201 RPM     70% Fan |   1100 Mhz GPU   1.17 V   950 Mhz MEM  |   652.0 / 652.7 Mh/s  |	99% Load  |  A:393   R:0   HW:0   U:9.24/m   I: 9
GPU 1: 67.0C   4586 RPM     76% Fan |   1100 Mhz GPU   1.17 V   950 Mhz MEM  |   656.1 / 656.3 Mh/s  | 99% Load  |  A:393   R:0   HW:0   U:9.24/m   I: 9
GPU 2: 69.0C   4586 RPM     76% Fan |   1100 Mhz GPU   1.17 V   950 Mhz MEM  |   653.1 / 653.4 Mh/s  | 99% Load  |  A:405   R:0   HW:0   U:9.52/m   I: 9
GPU 3: 66.0C   3999 RPM     66% Fan |   1100 Mhz GPU   1.17 V   950 Mhz MEM  |   655.7 / 655.6 Mh/s  | 99% Load  |  A:395   R:0   HW:0   U:9.28/m   I: 9

I am about 100W or so over the power draw I really wanted to be at with this setup....
1374  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: HD7970 Reference Card Unlocked BIOS on: May 14, 2012, 11:08:06 AM
I use MSI Afterburner profiles. Is there some reason why you cannot use that?

I'd rather keep each rig as simple as possible and not rely on another point-of-failure.
Remember, this is Windows....LOL
1375  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: = ClockTweak = win32 command line clock/voltage tweaking tool on: May 14, 2012, 11:07:11 AM
If this utility will UNDERVOLT Reference HD7970's in the following environment, please PM me and I will purchase ASAP....

- Win7 x64
- CAT 12.3 Full Driver Package (and included SDK, version?)
- CGMiner 2.4.1 (no config file, launch using BAT files)
- Headless Miners, UltraVNC managed.
- HD7970 Reference Cards (by Gigabyte, but still Reference Cards)
- ClockTweak able to launch using BAT file.

Cheers,

Dividend payments are out. 467 BTC were paid....
WOW. those are some serious mining earnings. I am extremely jealous.
Your farm definitely produces.

Congrats !

Numerous people were just scammed......

For the record, how many Bitcoins are you owed after the Bitscalper debacle anyway ?
...I never noticed you ever posting an actual amount.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=68862.msg893249#msg893249

I noticed that list. Shitty luck for alot of people. Are you "hookusmoi" in that list (guessing by your username here being 'hoo') ?
1378  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / HD7970 Reference Card Unlocked BIOS on: May 14, 2012, 09:54:29 AM
Does anyone here have an UNLOCKED BIOS for a 7970 Reference Card ?

How do I know if I have an unlocked BIOS ?
If you are a Windows Miner and can make Voltage Changes to your 7970 using CGMiner....you have an unlocked BIOS.

Some Asus Reference cards are bound to have them, as that is where I got my 5870 Unlocked BIOS (flashed my 5850 Reference Cards with) which allowed me to make on-the-fly Voltage changes to my 5850's using CGMiner.

I would just like to add on-the-fly Voltage control to all of my 7970's....without needing anything other than CGMiner.

Thanks in advance,
bitlane

If I was a Voting American, I would have done (and still would if given the chance) everything in my power to get Hillary Clinton into the White House.

If any Woman could do the job (and do it well) IT'S HER.

**This is not a troll, I am being 110% serious (for once).
