Can I still buy that RAID Card from you for 5BTC Shipped, that we talked about previously ?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=78201.0

I actually forgot about it, and went on a 7970 buying spree.

If it's still available, could you PLEASE hold it for me if you don't mind ? (I'm poor again.....lol)

You, Sir, just won 10000 Internets!

It's really too bad that those 5-8 people who are ignoring me will never see the genius Wink

This is what happens when you have a 10+ year old Enom Reseller Account, make profits every month and your incoming commissions from Sub-Accounts outweigh your expenses....

YOU CAUSE SHIT Wink

Thanks anyways.
1426  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB: Pair of LGA1366 Xeon 5600 Series CPUs on: May 10, 2012, 12:09:51 AM
You should build this thing! http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=19183865
I made the parts list, and if I can sell some of my other shit I am going to have http://geekbox.com/ build it for me. Grin

I actually thought about going LGA2011, but really, all my rig needs is a pair of 6-core Westmeres @ 24 threads....and she's good for another 6 months.
(I'm actually VERY cheap....LMAO....and have a wife with a shoe collection of 500+ pairs)

Current:
- SuperMicro X8DTi-F
- 2x Xeon x5550 (essentially the same as Dual I7 920's, better Turbo Freq/Cache/Power Consumption)
- 24GB ECC REG DDR3 Samsung
- 3x Intel X25-V 40GB SSD (RAID 0 Boot/Program Volume)
- 2x 150GB WD VelociRaptors (RAID 0 Working/Temp Volume)
- Nvidia Quadro FX3700 PCIe 512MB
- SoundBlaster Xfi PCIe
- LG BluRay/HDDVD/DVD/RW Multi-Drive

....I just wish I had a few extra CPU threads for multi-tasking.

I am going to wait until 2013 for a socket change.
1427  Economy / Computer hardware / WTB: Pair of LGA1366 Xeon 5600 Series CPUs on: May 10, 2012, 12:00:07 AM
My current HiDef Ripper/Encoder/Workstation/Porn-Surfer needs an upgrade.

I am currently running:
SuperMicro X8DTi-F Motherboard (Dual 1366 i7 Xeon) ............. http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/qpi/5500/x8dti-f.cfm
2x Xeon X5550 Quads (Dual Quads + HT @ 2.67Ghz) .......... http://ark.intel.com/products/37106/Intel-Xeon-Processor-X5550-(8M-Cache-2_66-GHz-6_40-GTs-Intel-QPI)

I am wondering if anyone here has a line on a decently priced pair of 5600's (6-core each + Hyperthreading), or has a pair for sale.
Engineering Samples are OK.
2.26Ghz and faster is acceptable. 'L' or 'E' Series preferable (X's take more juice to run)

...if you thought that 16 CPU threads made me a douchebag, WAIT till I get 24 up and running Wink

Shipping to Calgary, Canada required.
Paypal/BTC

Cheers,
bitlane.

Very cool.

I like the idea a lot, so much so I'm considering hosting my own show Smiley.

This wouldn't by chance be your official announcement for the 'Speed up your mining by up to 300% Show' would it ?
1430  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB: 15x HD7970's in BTC on: May 09, 2012, 08:31:33 PM
Thanks to all who replied and made offers.

I ended up lucking out and finding a 'back channel' into NCIX.com and was able to purchase at volume discount with direct (free) shipping to me directly.

Also, thanks to Jeremy @ Spendbitcoins.com for making this possible.

Cheers,
bitlane.
1431  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB: 15x HD7970's in BTC on: May 09, 2012, 07:53:40 AM
for 1650 BTC it is possible to ship it from me (germany) to you :-)

I am buying more stuff, under the circumstances Wink

This will cover 15x 7970's and some power supplies.
1432  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB: 15x HD7970's in BTC on: May 09, 2012, 06:57:04 AM
I just sent 1650 BTC to Jeremy @ Spendbitcoins.com
This will allow me to use NewEgg.ca and Paypal, so I can just get everything shipped directly to me.

If anything happens, I will let you guys know, but for now, it seems to be moving along.
1433  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] 5830 - 5850, 5870 or 5970 on: May 09, 2012, 06:55:13 AM
Keep in touch with me.

I will be replacing 20 cards over the next couple weeks.

10x 5830's
2x 5850's
4x 6950's
2x 6870's
2x 5770's

I will be selling for BTC and if I can get rid of the entire collection at once, that would be a bonus.
bitlane.
1434  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB: 15x HD7970's in BTC on: May 09, 2012, 03:19:22 AM
Looks like both newegg.ca, and Tigerdirect.ca won't let me use my normal payment method for some reason, so I'm limited to newegg.com.

If you want to, you can find me on the Freenode irc server on #bitcoin-otc, skype, email, or whatever.

If this deal ends up being something that we can accomplish without too much hassle on your end, would you be willing to use an Escrow service due to the amount involved ?
1435  Economy / Lending / Re: Dear Trusted Lenders - I am looking for a BTC/USD Intermediary on: May 09, 2012, 03:00:27 AM
As much as I hate to cross-post, would the heavyweights mind having a look over here please ?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=80255.0

Thanks for all of your time,
bitlane.

Intermediary as in escrow or just someone willing to buy BTC by buying you GPUs?

Sorry, my bad.

Someone willing to pay/ship....that already trusts me....lol (and knows I won't back out of a deal).

Trusted Lenders in this forum (who I have done BIZ with) also negate the need for a 3rd party Escrow Service Wink

Shipping is telling me roughly $250 for Express MailŪ International ( usually higher than the actual cost, but a good ballpark max). I wouldn't have the actual price until I know how many boxes and the exact weight. And then newegg's total of $7,199.85, so you're looking at $7449.85+ whatever fee you'd would deem appropriate. (such as including the Game coupons in my fee?) I also wasn't expecting $20/card  Wink

I would be willing to let whomever the 'intermediary' turns out to be to 'CheeryPick' the contents of each box for all 'Freebies'.....
(or even ship them all game codes etc on my dime....once received, as I am not a 'gamer')...
The Freebies would be a 'thanks' and have nothing to do with a 'Fee'. I expect to pay for service.

As long as I end up with Cards/Cables/Adapters.....that's all I care about.
1438  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB: 15x HD7970's in BTC on: May 09, 2012, 02:34:52 AM
I just updated the OP.

To be fair, I don't expect someone to do this for $20/card in BTC profit....LOL
(I lowballed without 'doing the math'....hehe)

So, it's now ~1500+ BTC for 15x 7970's.

I would like this 15 Card Deal to be an 'Opportunity' worth someone's time......(and REPEAT Transaction if possible/interested, as I need 20+ cards in the end).
1439  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB: 15x HD7970's in BTC on: May 09, 2012, 02:26:51 AM
PM sent, Not sure how you feel about proxy buying, but eh, worth a shot.  Grin

It's definitely worth a shot if everything works out Wink

Which cards were you considering ?
(unfortunately I should have been a bit more specific in my request, as I would prefer REFERENCE Design, or a Non-PowerColor Dual fan....lol)

Reference designs are around the same price. The only reason I linked to that one is because they didn't limit me to 5, and free shipping to me.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161399 (limit 5) $7.87 Shipping
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127645 (limit 10)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814103201 (limit 10) $7.87 Shipping
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129204
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131452 (limit 10)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150585 (limit 10) $7.87 Shipping

I can order any combination of these.

The Visiontek cards would be fine, as I was considering them anyways (and no limit and free shipping to you...and 'slim' packaging for re-ship).
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129204

What would you expect in BTC for everything 'said-and-done' to T2X 3B7, Calgary, AB, Canada ?

Cheers,
bitlane.
