241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme Coin ( $GRIM Reaper ) on: March 20, 2024, 09:14:11 PM

$GRIM has resurrected from the desire of quality projects, it is time that all the sh*t coins to dissapear.

It is only a matter of time until $GRIM will pass all other meme coins and become the top coin.

Liquidity will be burned and contract renounced. No taxes or other bullshit!

$GRIM is a meme coin with no intrinsic value or expectation of financial return. There is no formal team or roadmap. the coin is completely useless and for entertainment purposes only.

So essentially just like every other memecoin lol.  I hope you are just trolling, otherwise if people put a single dollar into something like this you need your head checked.  Honestly are other memecoins just blatantly open like this and succeed.  Basically saying this is worthless come on in lol?  Serious question is this a troll or not?
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's next in the memecoin cycle? on: March 20, 2024, 09:11:47 PM
There's much discussion surrounding the current memecoin season. We've witnessed all the usual aspects of a crypto memecoin season: from speculative trading to numerous project launches and presales, along with a flurry of airdrops. Presently, speculative trading and presales are at the forefront. While airdrops like JUP and Wen have come and gone. We’ve even seen bigger projects like bitget introduce their own airdrop/ rewards programs with prizes for various activities such as registration, spot trading, and completing futures trading tasks.

At this point, we've experienced a wide range of events so far and comparing the current scenario to what I recall from the bullish market of 2021, it seems like we have encountered all that a memecoin cycle can offer. Consequently, I anticipate a direct transition to altcoin season. Any thoughts on this prediction? Or how much longer do you think this will last?

The honest answer and only answer here is no one knows.  Memes are completely useless in real life and greed drives that market of empty projects.  So they can go 1000% or lose you everything in as short as a day.  You get what you get but I don't see these crazy upwards trends happening for very long, it's not sustainable.  Take profits where you can and slide back into normal promising projects.
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake and Bruno Mars An Example of How Gambling Addiction Can Affect Anyone on: March 20, 2024, 09:09:45 PM
There is a difference though.  Drake can afford the addiction, what hurts is for people who can't.  Drake can lose a million and walk away.  He still has a productive life and it's obviously not effecting his lifestyle.  So what is the difference between addiction and enjoying something as a hobby so much that you continue to do it.  If someone golf's everyday do people look down on it?  Same thing here.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 20, 2024, 09:07:02 PM
One thing I do wonder is the Rockets, looks like they are on a great winning streak and getting closer and closer to Warriors, just 2 win difference, and I think that can be closed with how many players Warriors are missing. Could it happen? I do not know, they played some easy games, and the end stretch of their games looks like against weaker teams. If they can do that, it would be the first playoffs since a while, since the whole Harden era, and these are still very young players, so that would be awesome for them to get that experience.

Plus, Alperen may come back by that time, and if they do that then they could actually play well. Not saying that they will get the position, of course they may not, but at least it looks like we are going to see them end up having a chance, should be very good to see.

Was thinking the same.  At a particular point I thought no way they make up the gap but after watching them implode during the Knicks game I just don't think they are that good of a team.  My gut tells me there is enough in the tank for them to possible hold on to the 10th spot.  But then 2 games on the road to try to make the playoffs, they are cooked.
245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 20, 2024, 09:04:44 PM
Another 2-1 for last night on the right side of the books last couple days.  Will try to keep it going here are my picks for tonight so far:

Knicks -6.5.  Might be a Homer bet but last 5 games keeping the opponent under 100 points, this one should be tight so long as everyone is full up playing.

Pacers -6.5. Cavs are down a couple of guys and I really thing the Pacers are gonna make a run at the 4/5 hole position here.  They are better than their record suggests.

And gimme the Celtics-15.5 here at home.  I know Detroit took them to OT this year but Celtics are steam rolling.  I expect a massive blowout.  130-107 type game.

Good luck everyone.

Another 2 and 1 night.  Knicks were dicey once OG was out but they have been playing great team ball lately.  Cavs game shocked me but hey anything can happen...and Boston they are just straight rolling through the season.  Going to be tough for anyone to beat them in a 7 game series.

Tonight I have just one pick and laying it all down on...

The Suns-9.  At home and with a relatively healthy squad I like their shot here at under double digits.

Kyrie is a great player there is no doubt about that but I still think that he is the last shot type of guy and they already have Doncic. I have always said the same thing and will say the same thing for a long time, Doncic doesn't need Kyrie, he needs a big man. Imagine if Doncic went to Denver today, or Jokic came to Dallas it doesn't matter, in that situation both of them playing together, can you imagine what would happen?

Not like we haven't seen active top 10 players playing together, we had Lebron and Wade before, or Durant and Steph before, we had Shaq and Kobe back in the day, so 2 of them top 10 players getting together was always possible, we are just not seeing it there. Doncic needs a star big man, not a ball hog.

Kyrie is so much more than a last shot guy.  Dude is considered by some to have best best handles ever.  Defensive specialists can't stand to guard him.  Some people might not like him personally but Dallas is worse off without kyrie than with kyrie.

That being said as a knicks fan and we hold this year's 1st round pick from them I hope they lose every game from here on out lol.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stop gambling if you don’t have free time to do it on: March 17, 2024, 04:04:38 PM
I’m always a victim of this mistake before when I’m still allure on online casino. I keep playing every night after work. I always play until midnight which makes me consume most of my rest time for my job preparation tomorrow.

The result is I don’t have much energy at work due to insufficient sleep and I lose funds on gambling because I keep playing quick due to my limited time. The effect is very disadvantageous to me since I both lose in these situations. This is the reason why I change my gambling pattern significantly that limit me to play only during weekends when I don’t have job tomorrow.

This is an advice based on my experience, don’t ever insert gambling on your schedule if you really don’t have free time for it because it will always result to disaster in both gambling and your life.

I agree.  Gambling should be a form of entertainment.  If it is ruining your life in any way you should definitely stop.  It's just like everything else, moderation is the key to life.  Gambling is a huge addiction for people and with the ability to drain all of your money it's something that Definitely needs to be managed.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget Bitcoin - Memecoins Like Pepe, FLOKI and Bonk Are the Big Gainers Now on: March 17, 2024, 03:04:28 PM
If this isn't a bubble I don't know what is.  No way am I deviating from bitcoin at this point.  All of these memecoins are useless and serve no purpose.  It's going to be a zero sum game and someone is going to be left holding the bag and it's not gonna be me.  I see no point in diving into memecoins at this point, too much risk.
250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: March 17, 2024, 03:02:24 PM
These matches are getting out of control lol.  Imagine Tyson in his prime lol.  I still think you don't want to mess with ol Mike.  The only thing Paul has on Mike is age.  If Mike catches him he might take a quick L.  Unsure of the odds but I might take a stab at ol Mike here.
251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 17, 2024, 02:59:48 PM
Game 1: Bucks-7.5.  I just don't think the sixers without embid can keep up here.

Game 3: Clippers -6.5.  One of those hunch plays.  I like the clips and how they play.  The spread doesn't seem like much to get over.  Figure they will be up late 5/6 points and free throw their way into a 9 to 10 point win.

Enjoy the game and good luck everyone!

I like these two bets as both teams were coming from a loss, for the Clippers, they are in 2 losing streak, hopefully Leonard will play here. But honestly, I'm not so 100% sure aabout the Clippers since the Bulls has been playing very well recently, but anyway I'll follow ( said on our local thread I'll take a break but see this, I might put a bit for the play).

Also, for the Bucks, Losing to the Kings was pretty big, they look like  G League team on that losing over 30 points, so i'm hoping for a big comeback win and expect that they'll dominate the Embiid less Sixers. Riding this bet too, Good luck @wheelz1200

Thank you @wheelz1200  for your perfect pick, you got all 3 but I only followed 2 of your picks, still I'm at 100% win rate at that day. Looking forward for the upcoming games, maybe if you have another picks there, I like to follow until you start losing.  Grin

wheelz1200  by the way ladies and gentlemen was 3-0 last night, he got Knicks -11.5 which I didn't tail.

Yeah was a good night gold someone else won off these picks too.  The Bucks and knicks game literally came down to the last shot.  Amazing how close the odds makers get so close.  Either way I will post my 3 picks tonight:

Pelicans +8.5 at home against the Clippers.  2nd night of a back to back for the Clippers. They might sneak out a win but shoukd be a tight game

Suns -10.5 against Charlotte.  Suns are gonna start tightening the screws on conference position this is a must easy win.

Last one I like is orlando but I'm laying off this game...rj barretts kid brother just died and you never know the emotion of the game when things like this happen.  Gonna watch but if I had to pick I'd lay down on orlando

Good luck everyone and enjoy the games.

2 for 3 not too bad although I didn't bet the third game so personally went 1-1 even Steven.  Today another good round of games.  Here's my 3 picks for tonight:

Knicks +3.5. OG is back and the defense is clicking again.  Low scoring tight game I will take the dog in this one

Pacers -8.5. At home against the underwhelming Nets.  In the 6 hole they will be fighting for playoff position and its critical to get 6th or lower for them.

Cavs -4.5. Same reasoning.  Playoff position is tight in the 2/3 spot and don't want to fall back into the 4th where the Knicks are.  I like the cavs on the road here.

Good luck everyone!!

Another 2 for 3 night not bad.  Knicks just look different with OG on the floor.  Might be time to start banging the unders on those games.  5 straight games they kept teams under 100 scoring.

Today is in:

Heat -6.5. Gotta go playoff teams now as they all start try pushing.  Gotta think they push Detroit today.

Celtics -11.5 against the wizards...its...the Wizards if Boston doesn't blow them out I will be surprised.

And taking a flyer on the Spurs-1.5. I'm not impressed with the Nets, taking the home team in basically a pick em.

Good luck and enjoy the games people!
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICO in 2017-2018 left the strongest impression on you? on: March 16, 2024, 07:43:19 PM
I never bought into any ICO.  They were mostly all scams.  These "developers" fired up a new coin, made a web page with fancy designs on them along with a zillion empty promises.  I know some were very successful but probably a needle in a haystack, the rest all proven out to be scams.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoins Making people more profitable than Alts on: March 16, 2024, 07:41:27 PM
First off meme coins are altcoins, I think you meant meme coins vs non meme coins.  And yeah in this very moment they are but show me how the thousands of memecoins from 2020 are doing.  The point is eventually they will all go to zero.  Greed is the only driving factor of this run.  It's a zero sum game though because these don't hold any value other than as pump toys.
254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Scratch Offs on: March 16, 2024, 07:39:14 PM
When I was 17 years old I had the great idea to buy entire roll of scratch offs.  That comes to $300 a roll so if $10 tickets you get 30, if $5 tickets then you get 60 scratch offs, so on and so forth.  Me and a buddy of mine split the roll cost and we're gonna split the massive profits we were destined for.  After what seemed like hours of scratching we came away with around $130 basically losing $170.  Good lesson for a young dumb kid.  Since then I've gotten them for gifts and such and have never won more than $50 on any single one.  But most are lovers.  I equate scratch offs as I do slots.  If not fun then I don't want to play a losing sum game.  Scratch offs don't do it for me so I don't buy them.
255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Pattern that 99.9% Leads to Bankruptcy: High Rolling on Slots! on: March 16, 2024, 04:05:33 PM
What I know from the experience of slot game lovers who I know the person quite closely, almost all of them are addicts to this type of game. Several times I accidentally met some of them in a cafe. Though there was a conversation between us, but on the other hand, he also didn't lose focus on the smartphone he was using. I know very well that he was playing slot games at that time because it can be clearly seen from the music of the game and their expressions when they hit the jackpot.

I think what broke them was an addiction that they couldn't overcome, because whatever result they get (win or lose) they don't know when it's time to stop the game. There are times when they are frustrated with the losses they have incurred and this makes them choose to remove the slot game from their cellphone, but that doesn't last long, because when they have money they will re-install the game.

That's the issue with most gamblers.  They have no exit criteria so they will gamble until they are broke.  That is the type of player casinos are looking for.  The more they win the more they are willing to risk.  Gambling should be entertainment something you do for fun every once in awhile but unfortunately that's not the way.  I kmwo way too many people like the one you described.

Imagine if pic related actually happen. Can the Bengals make it work though, contract-wise, can they fit all three of them?

If Jefforson stays to play in Minnesota with those bums they have at quarterback, he's going to get murdered on one of those hospital balls. Not worth it.

That literally would be insane.  It would be exactly like LSU was that year shattering records.  I kinda want to see it happen.  Unsure of theor cap room and Minnesota wanting to trade him but I'd be an every Sunday watcher of their games. Might as well just get rid of theor running backs and just play with a 6 man line amd 4 wideluts every play 😅
If Burrow and Chase(Mostly Burrow) restructured their deals, they could open up some cap space and make it happen. It's a matter of what Minnesota wants for Jefferson at that point. I have a feeling they're gonna want a haul for JJ though. If this did happen though, Bengals would be a force to reckon with in the AFC.

Yeah something to the tune of a couple first round picks and possibly a player or 2.  Jettas will be coming into his prime not sure if Minnesota is going full blast rebuild.  If they were gonna go this route I'm not sure why they wouldn't have taken a shot at Russell Wilson on a one year deal.  Russ pretty much guaranteed the starting job.  Would have made sense.  But hey how who am I to say.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Base L2 first Meme Coin Flip Solana's Bonk? on: March 15, 2024, 08:36:14 PM
I honestly don't get the point of memecoins.  They literally offer nothing in terms of solving a solution.  It's more a greed driven ponzi of tokens and coins.  Everyone is literally just buying them because they think some other poor sucker will buy it for more, literally the only reason.  With that being said because the crypto market is nuts sometimes, there's a possibility that it makes people tons of money.  Just know eventually someone will be left holding the bag.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do we expect the altcoin season or has it already started? on: March 15, 2024, 08:32:37 PM
There is a popular myth that after Bitcoin bull market comes the altcoin season with the altcoin season being a season where huge capitals flow into altcoins for those who would have missed buying Bitcoin at lower prices. There is some sense in this line of thought because it has happened that way in the past.
From last year till now, Bitcoin has made over x3 and other cryptocurrencies has followed it but not all of them experienced this same level of growth.

So are we still expecting the altcoins season or the gains some of the altcoins made following Bitcoin is already classified as the altcoin season?

I don't like the term altcoin season but crypto is definitely in a bull run right now.  Most all the decent projects have gone up a significant amount but I believe that was only the first leg up.  We haven't seen the parabolic run which we might see by the end of the summer.  Post btc halving and the inevitable sell.off of "sell the event" type thing.  Once it consolidates expect a lot of money to pile in.  That's my guess
