Just use a password manager like Keepass ...

That doesn't prevent people from leaking websites with your password...it only helps remembering all the passwords.

No, that makes you use the password that the password manager creates for you. This way you never use the same password for all the sites.
244  Economy / Speculation / Re: Coinbase has sold out of bitcoins for the day. Bullish on: August 17, 2014, 12:22:23 PM
takes time for ach from bank to coinbase and then coinbase to exchange.
So, Coinbase needs to transfer fiat from their bank account to "themselves" and then to an exchange.
I really think they just need to transfer from their bank account to the bank account of an exchange. That doesnt take 5 days.

It is up-to 5 days you tinfoilhatwearers

248  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ethereum KILLING BITCOIN! on: August 17, 2014, 12:09:51 PM
Total FUD. Most the Etherium IPO funds remain intact and what has been sold was not significant enough to move the market in any meaningful way.

The expectation of the coin going to be sold off will cause the price to drop.

The current price always reflect the future event and not current one.

But 26000 BTC is nothing, only 8 days of mining...

8 days worth of the total inflation of a any given currency is an incredibly HUGE sum. Try to extrapolate such a thing to the USD or to any fiat currency of your choice, and add to that the fact that the BTC inflation decreases over time until deflation takes over, which doesn't apply to the USD.

so you are saying that double inflation on 8 days can influence the price downwards for over 10 % for Weeks?

Dont make this kind of topics now or ethereum will continue dumping their coins seeing we are still "optimistic" and we are not worried.

No one really cares about Ethereum and their lousy ~20kBTC, let those fools sell if they are really doing it. Market will eat those up in no time.

When someone has controlled of 20k btc, I won't call them fools. They manage to raise a lot of money from bitcoin whale and wealthy investors, there must be something they are offering that is unique to the crypto community.

Even so, why do you think this has anything to do with the demand/supply of BTC price?
250  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do You now something about bitcoin price? on: August 17, 2014, 11:57:15 AM
The margin and leverage change on bitfinex is more likely reacting to the systemic risk they have.

Sold off for the last 2 weeks is mainly due to Ethereum cash out.

What's that link supposed to mean?

Showing where ethereum's coins are going. Here is the english version:

https://blockchain.info/en/address/36PrZ1KHYMpqSyAQXSG8VwbUiq2EogxLo2?filter=1

I got that. But are they going to confirmed exchange addresses? Otherwise i can't see a connection with the price drop.

There is no reason for them to move the coin unless they want to sell it. So I am guessing they moved a large chuck of coin to either settle previous debt or selling them on the exchange.

They even said that they are paying wages and repaying loans with it. If the deposited it into an exchange to coverup taint, I don't know.

Sound suspiciously similiar to Gox. Now Coinbase got hacked and are covering it up with this story?

Coinbase is no exchange...

It appears as though the BitStamp ticker price on the site isn't working.  I just shot $20 worth of bitcoin over to pick up another trading contract to and I think it hooked me up at btc-e rates which are > $8 lower.   Ah well, here's hoping to a good 4 months at bitcoin-trader Smiley

Nice! What could go wrong in mearly 4 months!
