241  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make a life by Day Trading on: August 11, 2023, 04:05:29 AM
I discovered that no matter how good the plans are, traders tend to deviate from them when emotion sets in as a result of some challenges in trading when the market did not behave as planned.

This is the discovery every trader must experience to succeed. Because the real battle doesn't start with your plan. It starts when you're sitting in front of your screen. There it will start the fight with your own demons. Your fear of missing out, greed, impatience. All throughout while the market is still open.

As you grow being a trader, it will be more difficult and more challenging managing your own emotion as relates to your positions.
242  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can 1 satoshi be worth $1 in the future? on: August 11, 2023, 03:55:34 AM
The minimum TX fee for Bitcoin is one satoshi. Now, imagine if market prices keep going up until 1 BTC is worth $100m. This means 1 satoshi will be worth $1 (USD). Do you think there's a possibility this will happen in the future? If Blockchain capacity remains low, this could be a real pain in the head for the average person using BTC on a daily basis. I know such a prediction is insane, but if there's one thing I've learned about crypto is that nothing is impossible.

Thoughts? Huh

Yes nothing is impossible in the market, anything has a likelihood of happening over another. But imagine if BTC which is now one of the most volatile asset in human history crashed, many people would be affected. That also means that other asset classes would be greatly affected. Stocks would follow to go down, houses, real state. The whole economy too would be affected.
243  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leverage in Copy Trading on: August 10, 2023, 09:06:25 PM
Hi I wanted to increase the size of my positions in copy trading in Bingx and I got this message:

Risk Warning: You will not be able to copy trades as the margin per trade you set is greater than the available account balance. Deposit or transfer to ensure sufficient funds in the account.
Isnt it possible to open a position of 100 dollars with a 10 dollars balance for example? isnt it possible to use leverage in copytrading in Bingx? anyone familiar with copytrading in Bingx?

This means that your margin per trade (which is the amount you're putting in) is too big compared to your account balance ($10). So, they're basically saying, "Hold up! You need to have more money in your account to copy this trade." So as a solution i think is to just deposit or transfer more money into your account. In that way, you'll have enough funds to cover the trade, and you won't get the red flag or risk warnings from the platform.
244  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you ever used copy trading apps on: August 10, 2023, 09:02:25 PM
If you are worried about getting scammed, why did you still install it? Installing and still worrying about getting scammed would likely get you hacked/scammed in the first place if it's fake. You can be infected by doing that.

Don't think about it too much. If you believe that you can earn at it, do it. Just make sure you are risking a capital that you can risk.

Copy trading is the easy route. I would prefer to study on my own and make my own decisions.

Lol that's why he asked. Sure, actual trading from your own analysis would be great. But not all people can make their own analysis and take risk from it. Though they can see the opportunity in trading they simply don't want to submit to the stresses of trading. That is why copy trading is completely okay. It's not simply the easy route, it's just the route that works for other people and there's nothing wrong with that.
245  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture can save your country from recession on: August 10, 2023, 02:13:49 PM
My country still relies on agriculture and has become a majority profession, unfortunately many things that are not supported by the government, for example, when there is a cheaper imported product, the government, rice, sugar, and salt are usually exported but now imported, the reasons for the government are because they want to Maintaining food stocks but the impact makes many farmers lose so that the economic life of farmers and fishermen is very poor.

here in Philippines, agriculture isn't just a source of income; it's somehow deeply rooted in the culture and way of life. very rich with agriculture from rice terraces that have stood for generations to the vibrant markets bustling with fresh produce, agriculture plays a significant role in daily life.

however it is sad that the current governtment and system is degrading the nature that possibly one source of country's great wealth.
246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Peer pressure as a substantial gambling catalyst. on: August 09, 2023, 06:43:41 PM
I guess the gambling itch started for me when I was scrolling my phone, just scrolling, and, boom, there it was, this ad. The ad was not just an ad, it was more, like a personal invitation from some fellow of my age, who looked like he's got life sorted.

The advertisement, though I cannot exactly pinpoint the precise content, made me wonder about the experiences and probabilities, both in a gambling sense and a life sense. And whatnot, I gave in. Not because I thought I would win or anything (I didn't), but because there's something... intriguing? about it. I think peers might influence some, but not me, although I think it might've, but I'm not sure. You see?

Of course you'll be curious once you see such ads. Who else would't if it say You have to try to win $1,000,000 as many as you like..

it's very unrealistic but also ideal to burn some dreams come true is it? so here we are now. sharing each other's gambling experience. You first got curious, then you explore, you make money, you lose some, you want to get it back, you've widthrawn wins, deposits from losses. But the best thing is we enjoy the whole experience.
247  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: August 09, 2023, 06:37:26 PM
I think it's mostly because of the fact that they enjoy gambling but are reluctant to disclose it to others because they know that others won't encourage them to do it.
It's when we know what we are doing is not really encouraged by others but still we choose to do it is when people make that thing a secret.
We can't really judge people because of this. It's not about being proud of something but enjoying it.

i get the same idea. same though as i read the thread. Seems like most folks have a soft spot for gambling but feel a bit shy to admit it openly. I guess they're worried that others might frown upon it or give them a hard time.

it is that whole "doing something even when it's not the most popular choice" that turns it into a secret affair. And hey, who are we to judge, right? It's not always about waving a flag and being proud, sometimes it's just about having a good time doing what you enjoy, no matter what the peanut gallery says.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots fever on: August 09, 2023, 06:33:42 PM
The first time I tried slots in my life, I use 1Eur to make 240Euro, this was my most joyous day in gambling, it was so unexpected, I freaked out and freaking lost my mind, since then I started believing that gambling do have some surprises when you don't expect them.

The saddest Slots spinning day was when I use 300$ to spin for hours and had on 20$ left, that was where I finally decided to cash out, I felt bad for a week before I got over it, that was when I started having a gambling limit in mind.

Till today, I have had some losses and also some fine hits, what about you guys? Do you have any Slots spinning story to share? I'm sure some people are more lucky than many others.

It's crazy because reading through all the comments, it seems like we all have the same experience. From making large sum of money from nothing and also betting a large amount and turning it to almost nothing.

just sad to see some stories where they encounter the same experience but didn't manage to cope. they ended up being addictive. I guess that's the fever. so just get rest, and get back when you're ready.
249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Technology is Changing Sports Betting on: August 07, 2023, 03:47:34 PM
I don't get why a lot of people are really amazed on how AIs can do things. Without human touch and input, AIs will not function to a human's liking and would be more of a liability than a tool. In sports betting, those who are versed in the game are more likely to do better decision-making than an AI who can only crunch numbers that is fed on to it by a human or another machine. AIs can do a lot of cool things in terms of automated betting, but I wouldn't depend on it 100% to bet on my behalf in sports.

Oh, totally get you! AIs are cool but they're no match for human sports savvy. They can crunch numbers, but they're not nailing that human touch. I wouldn't bet my bucks solely on an AI for sports betting, you know? AI don't have the guts that's when we trust our guts! Because in gambling it's more of like a very mental and luck game. 🤝
250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reckless gambling starts after a win round. on: August 07, 2023, 03:40:23 PM
If you are onto gambling for the first time it's not possible to get addicted to gambling because you haven't tasted what winning feels like, you will be consumed by doubts and uncertainty.

But wait till you have a taste, win some money, that's where you start feeling like there is more if you keep digging, is this not where gambling addiction starts?

We have had a lot of conversations about gambling addiction, but I had the same conversation with someone close yesterday and this was my answer to him.

Do you think its possible to become addicted to gambling when you haven't win a dime or after you win?

I think addiction starts after you win, even if it's just once, that's when you start gambling recklessly and you also start betting higher.

Addiction can definitely start to kick in after a win and then consecutively, even if it's just one or repeatedly. That's why it's so important to stay aware of your behaviors and set some limits for yourself right from the beginning. Because when you're overconfident, you often bet higher than your normal stake and when you lose, you give back all your winning and worse end up with a loss.  But hey, if you ever feel like you're heading down a slippery slope, just know that you still have your family, your wife, children, parents, tose people who believes in you. It will be beneficial for you
251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of rewards/bonuses do you prefer? on: August 07, 2023, 03:35:28 PM
I prefer bonuses through which I have a chance to abuse the system and get real money just for nothing.

Personally, I'm a fan of a mix of rewards. Welcome bonusses are always a great way to make newcomers feel super special and appreciated right from the start. And who doesn't love a little xtra cashback? It's like getting a little something back every time you play – that's a WinWin situation.

I think it's also be exciting if there would be some exclusive themed events or tournaments where players can compete for big rewards? Or even loyalty programs that level up over time, unlocking cooler perks the more you play? It's all about keeping the excitement alive and making us feel appreciated for spending our time at your casino.
252  Economy / Gambling / Re: NanoGames.io on: August 07, 2023, 03:32:19 PM
Whoa, I'm seeing BC Games vibes from those images.

Still, welcome!

I see Betfury alike site, especially after the roulette popup free spin. They must be using the same game provider.  They are however made for Nano tokens to be their first choice for gaming.

Without any other marketing promotion for this casino, it may just be buried along the ANN threads in this forum without getting sunshine. That's why they created a new ANN thread like this. Anyway, Welcome back to bitcointalk

How come it happens to be a welcome back? Is it something like an existing casino back then that gone before at bitointalk and now they are advertising here again? Please someone enlighten me. I opened and accessed the website and it's almost already developed for more than years now. There's little to no lag and buggs.
253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Gambling to the society on: August 06, 2023, 06:28:02 PM
That is all I can notice that has an effect on the positive side, and I agree that gambling casinos are one of the biggest tax payers in a country, and a lot of people benefit from them. Only entertainment can be positive and affect us. No matter how we think, it has a negative effect on people no matter what, but still, we can't ban it as it helps the country as a whole.
State taxes generated from the gambling industry are usually used for the development of a country's infrastructure and also provide assistance to those who are less fortunate, but on the other hand gambling also has a negative impact on people who cannot be responsible and take wrong actions because most people making gambling to make a profit not for entertainment.
But it is true that the gambling industry has both positive and negative sides depending on each individual who takes advantage of it.
I myself have had many good and bad experiences while in the gambling industry and that way I can take what is right and wrong when I am in the gambling industry.

While state taxes from gambling can contribute to infrastructure development and aid for those in need, I would argue that the positive impact doesn't necessarily outweigh the potential negative consequences.

Gambling addiction and its associated problems are genuine concerns that can't be overlooked. Even though some individuals might approach gambling responsibly, there's no denying that a significant portion might fall into the trap of chasing profits, leading to financial and emotional distress. I think proper education with regard to addictions and many forms of it would be a great deal of help.
254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Appropriate percentage of income for gambling on: August 06, 2023, 06:18:20 PM
I won't dare gamble with 5% of my income for gambling every week, that's a lot in a month's time, I would rather invest the money into Bitcoin as this is a guaranteed investment over gambling, I am a businesswoman and I have my own fashion home, my gambling every week depends on how much I make in a week, so I don't have a fixed budget for gambling, but I always make sure that 2% of my money I make per week will go into gambling, it's not a must, if sales aren't looking good for that week I won't gamble, it's not as if I am even making a lot from gambling anyways.

It's safe to say that my gambling decision depends on how much I will make in the week

That's good, it means you have limits that allow for budget overruns to not occur in gambling.
There are many gamblers out there who cannot manage and limit the budget to use for gambling and on average make a gradual deposit where at the beginning of the game session they deposit $ 50 and after a while they will deposit again and continue to do it even worse until they run out of all the money they have owned.

Setting a budget limit based on a week's earnings is also a good thing to do and I still do it to this day.

Allocating around 2% of your weekly earnings for gambling makes a lot of sense. It's like a little side bet that you're comfortable with, and you're being flexible based on how well your business is doing that week. So, it's not about going all in, but rather making a calculated choice based on the bigger financial picture. It's like playing the game with a strategy that suits you, and that's a win in itself.

It's like keeping a guardrail on your gambling adventure, preventing any wild financial rides. I get what you mean about some folks by going all in without a thought – it's like they're trying to catch a wave without a surfboard. But hey, your method of setting a limit based on your weekly earnings is a wise strategy.
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beginners, you don't need Bitcoin first on: August 06, 2023, 06:14:42 PM
I think most times it is because some people see investment in BTC as a means of getting quick money. That's why they can invest the little they have so it can multiply at the speed of light. But, more often they get disappointed because it just doesn't turn out the way they had anticipated.
If you a having the mindset of making quick money in bitcoin investment, then you will end up losing everything within a short period of time, since they are looking for quick money, if they join bitcoin and they didn’t get the quick money they are looking for, they might end up being introduced to a Ponzi scheme where they will promise them huge return in a short period of time without any risk, if most them see offers like this, they will end up falling for it and at the end they will end up being scammed, and they will be complaining that bitcoin is a scam, but they didn’t know they made the wrong decision.

I know people that are really ready to hold their bitcoin will have another source of income and they won’t depend on the bitcoin they are holding for survival, if you depend on the bitcoin you are holding for survival, then you will be selling all your bitcoin soon, and you might be selling at lose.
They can hold because they don't rely solely on Bitcoin's earnings as their primary source of income is their job or business. This is to compare why rich people can hold for many years while poor people can't. That is why I encourage people not to focus on Bitcoin investment because this won't make us rich instantly nor earn a profit right away. As we can see, a lot of people leave crypto because of their wrong expectations. Well, we can say that Bitcoin is a profitable investment but not to the point that we can expect it every day, maybe if we are trading that seems possible. But if we are just holding, that is impossible, it takes months or years.

Totally get what you're saying! It's all about the balance, right? Rich folks can afford to hold onto their Bitcoin for the long haul since they've got other income streams keeping them afloat. And you're spot on about not relying solely on Bitcoin as a get-rich-quick scheme – it's more of a long game. Patience is key here, unlike those unrealistic expectations some folks have. Bitcoin's like a slow-cooking stew, takes time to reach that delicious flavor. So, if you're in for the hodl, better pack some patience and wait for those months or even years to roll in. 🕒💸
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beginners, you don't need Bitcoin first on: August 06, 2023, 06:12:10 PM
Great talk. The take home here is to first invest in yourself before even thinking of investing in Bitcoin. Besides if you don't have a job before buying BTC, you might not really be able to hold, except you are getting additional source of income.

But if you're still confused on which advice to take. Just start. And make it a goal for you not to lose money. Because at the beginning when you're still learning, the goal is absolutely not to make money but to survive while remaining sane. You must not be reliant on your BTC income because it will not be stable in the beginning years. But sure enough if you last long in the game you'll make more than you expect.
257  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did Bitcoin Bring a Smile to Your Face? How Did You Make It Happen? on: August 06, 2023, 06:06:36 PM
I'm new to Bitcoin and the Bitcoin forum, but my curiosity is overflowing. I've come across numerous articles and blogs that share exciting testimonies of how Bitcoin has transformed lives, inspiring some individuals to even quit their jobs. It's heartwarming to imagine the joy on their faces. I'd love for all of us to share our happiest moments when Bitcoin brought a smile to our faces and the steps, we took to experience that happiness.

Of course! that's genuine happiness. Because once you cashed out and realized all your profits, you know that all the risk, money, and stresses involved in your investments are all worth it. It become fruitful. It is because not because it was easy happiness. It becomes genuine happinnes because trading or investing is one of the most difficult profession and you overcome it with your profits.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: risk of centralization of bitcoin. on: August 04, 2023, 06:11:19 AM

what are the potential ethical issues and challenges arising from the increasing centralization of mining power and wealth in very few dominant mining pools in the Bitcoin network and what can the bitcoin community do? what measures can be taken to maintain decentralization of the network while addressing these concerns?

like the risk of 51% attack when big pools have more power, etc.

The only that it have is you'll lose your fund that you put in that centralized exchange. Well of course having your money in an centralize exchange like bybit and binance, you let those company manage your money. It also have some features of staking and saving. So you put your whole trust in that as an exchange. It also help to circulate the liquidity of BTC and other Altcoins because with these centralize exchange being user friendly and easier to use. More people are able to participate in the marketplace.
259  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to close this position please on: August 04, 2023, 06:06:46 AM
https://ibb.co/JtvXTxy

I opened it by mistake I want all usdt back
Kucoin Help Center: How to Use Isolated Margin Trading (App).

If you opened a position by mistake, you want to close it, you must accept your loss if it is temporary loss and you want to close your position instantly.
If you want to wait for exit with a draw, let's wait but price maybe moves worse for your position.

So you must decide to exit it now or wait.

It's very difficult for most people to close their position because they are in at losing position. When they are in that state of hope, they will hold to it until they take more losses and can't hold to it any longer. That happens because they don't accept the risk in the first place. This means that whenever you take a trade, you have to consider it already as a loss. You detach yourself from the outcome of every single trade.

Roll Eyes My small silly topic on what i use Roll Eyes

6. https://twitter.com - You have to find THESE guys. (Very difficult)
If you know any REALLY working tools, post below  Grin

This is true haha. If you have the correct influence in social media, it will be a lot easier for you to create a network with likeminded people. It will be easier for you to gather information related to the type of trading you are doing.

Those people are hard to find because they are not loud and just lowkey. They are not those frauds who just share their wins and hide their negative PnLs. Once you're acquainted with them, they are willing to mentor you. The oftentimes have their own telegrams or website. They don't share signals, they share their knowledge and their analysis.
