1161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I accept Bitcoin for payments on my online store? on: November 19, 2020, 09:13:42 PM
To accept payment through cryptocurrency is a really risky for you and for the customers you will be serving. For instance, it is no secret that bitcoin, slong with the other cryptocurrencies in the market have a very high volatility rate. Another would be the high transaction fees that your customer will be forced to pay in order to close out the transaction. So instead of being another gateway to yiur success. It may even become the downfall of your business.
1162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another billionaire just invested in bitcoin on: November 18, 2020, 11:40:17 PM
I'm hopeful that bitcoin will reach ATH within this year but I'm not so confident about these billionaires and whales cashing in more and more into the system. Whales are good as part of a presale but as soon as they cash out, it's going to cause a huge panic to the ones below them. Hopefully they don't cash it all by December or all bitcoin investors will go bananas.
1163  Economy / Economics / Re: Asia-Pacific nations sign world’s biggest trade pact on: November 18, 2020, 11:02:36 PM
I feel sory for the people who still believe that COVID-19 is fake. Sure, it may as well be a political biological warfare to whittle down every country's economy and workforce, but that shouldn't stop yoh from believing it is real. A lot of people had died, you can't just say fake death to the mothers and fathers who lost their sons and daughters to this disease. Please keep an open mind but make sure your brain is not leaking out.
1164  Economy / Economics / Re: Oil and USA dollar problem for USA covid 19 New oil on: November 18, 2020, 10:18:42 PM
Either USA will up their game to pillage more lands in hopes of finding oil or they will have a big problem with their oil-based economy. That being said, it's going to be a big problem to either side of the issue. Especially now that Electric vehicles are gaining more and more traction to the market. As long as they change their currency basis, they shouldn't have a problem.
1165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers lose more money than win. on: November 18, 2020, 09:25:50 PM
One thing that people gets mistaken about gambling is that they will win. Confidence is really great but too much of it, especially in a game of chance like gambling, can prove to be lethal. If you have no basis for your confidence, then might as well level your head so at least you can minimize your losses while maintaining or at times increasing your odds at winning.
1166  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin after 3rd Halving prediction on: November 17, 2020, 11:34:50 PM
You forgot to take into account bitcoin's high volatility rate. I understand that at this point it may look so negligible already but the whales can do whatever they can in order to jack the price. I see you are having great visions regarding bitcoin and I hate to be the one to burst your bubble but we may need to wait a few more years before bitcoin even reaches the 100000 mark. A lot of people thought of this last 2018 only t be disappointed in the end. Nevertheless still a nice chart with a pretty much based predicrion.
1167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen for Amazon to accept Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2020, 10:47:48 PM
First and foremost Amazon has some good intentions in not accepting bitcoin as a viavle payment method. For one, the coin is so volatile it could cause an unprecedented decline in their profits. Aside from that, the transaction fees Amazon will have to shoulder to carry on with this will far outweigh the profits they will earn using bitcoin. In the case of Paypal, them accepting bitcoin is not to procure them as a form of payment method, but as a locked-in investment.
1168  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: November 17, 2020, 09:46:55 PM
Recently lost my job too but because of too much workload taking a toll on my mental health. The coronavirus pandemic is a bit of an indirect factor to it as the company I worked for downsized its employees so the people left there to work are given more tasks than usual. That's when I got back to cryptocurrency and I must say, though it does not pay as much as my old job does, it offers me the peace of mind which I wouldn't be able to trade for something else.
1169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Low, Sell High on: November 15, 2020, 11:37:22 PM
Most people are easily fended off by a dip thinking it's the end of the world when stuff like this happens on the daily not only in the bitcoin market but everywhere else. What's good though is the fact that bitcoin already had a strong userbase that are confident in the coin itself. Most of them would hold for months and months on end which is reay great because bitcoin is a high risk high reward scheme.
1170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I made a cartoon movie revealing the secret of Bitcoin and Darknet on: November 15, 2020, 11:13:34 PM
By revealing you mean making a video about a conspiracy theory you saw on reddit way back in 2015 and now that you remembered about it you are making a video of it. Sounds really funny to me not gonna lie. Might as well back your arguments with bases rather than just interconnecting stufc like you are a spider on crack.
1171  Economy / Economics / Re: Technology is rendering the fiat money system of the 20th Century obsolete on: November 15, 2020, 10:36:41 PM
If you're talking about the tangible aspect of fiat then yes. We're seeing a big decline in the number of transactions and people who regularly use fiat. Most of them overrun by online cssh payments which are still backed by fiat money anyway but is in it's most digital form. People got a taste of freedom when they finally got the chance to not open thsir bags and pull out their wallets everytime they would buy or sell something. So yeah fiat as a tangible money is gone. But fiat itself, not so sure about that!
1172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting strategy advice on: November 15, 2020, 10:25:15 PM
Know that there are no really safe ways to bet in an online sports game. Whatever the game is there will be odds of losing than you odds of winning. If you have extra money then you can bet again this time for the enemy team. However this costs more, is unintuitive, and weird. And you pnly get the half of what you really betted on.
1173  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Holding in Companies on: November 14, 2020, 10:52:57 PM
This may seem good first because it helps bitcoin increase in value. But knowing that they own approximately 600K bitcoins kind of scares me. Keep in mind that this only applies to grayscale companies. Who knows how many more companies do this? They could cause a huge impact on bitcoin's price knpwing that they are all whales in the market. And them being owned by private companies does not make comfortable even a bit.
1174  Economy / Economics / Re: Need of the hour : Use the Crisis on: November 14, 2020, 10:02:29 PM
In my country, online business and food deliverry services flourished better than ever. Last year a lot of people have been mocking these businesses for being so "out of touch" to the outside world. Goes to show how things that don't make sense today would be logical tomorrow. Nonetheless, we also see a big increase in the amount of peoplr investing in crypto. So while other business and employment firms die off, others flourish on their ashes.
1175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian boy committed suicide after losing money by Betting in IPL on: November 14, 2020, 09:22:33 PM
This is the dangers of online betting or gambling in general when not done right. If you can't bet twice, you can't afford to bet at all. Moreso if you have loaned the money you used for betting. We really can't blame the poor guy but let this be a lesson not only to the beginners but to the veterans as well. Betting is playing with a loaded gun. You either shoot your target, get jailed for illegally possessing a firearm, or die because you shot yourself in the face
1176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does China FUD matter anymore? on: November 14, 2020, 08:41:02 PM
At this point we all know China as the grumpy party pooper in the cryptocurrency fiesta. Despite that, they still have an awful amount of traction especially from the newbie demographic. These people are the easiest to sway and persuade. For veterans, we already know how things roll so we are not easily swayed. And with the coming if new investors brought about by the pandemic, they're going to do things to have these people be convinced to not invest or dump.
1177  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you like to become a co-owner of a world bank? on: November 13, 2020, 11:38:14 PM
Working for a money tending entity does not equate to earning those monies as well. That being said, I'm not so sure you got Satoshi's vision correctly. He wanted to create a platform that allows people to not be controlled by banks. And that includes enjoying features solely limited to banking institutions. That doesn't necessarily mean that you get to be a co-owner of a bank.
1178  Economy / Economics / Re: A problem that can’t be dissolved: mission impossible on: November 13, 2020, 10:47:39 PM
One thing that I learned while growing up is to not always help everyone get what they want. Help them know how to get it. That being said, I'm not really sure as to how dire your situation OP but if you're not going to get out of that situation, you'll be stuck helping other people without returns on your end. And we all know in economy that services offered without profits is bad for business. Doesn't matter if they are family or friend. Don't be so altruistic. Or might as well invite them to invest in cryptos to earn cash if they really need it immediately.
1179  Economy / Economics / Re: Hoping that its the end of corona virus on: November 13, 2020, 09:47:26 PM
Unfortunately, due to poor governance, we may even have to wait for a vaccine just to get out of this stupid mess. Some countries especially those who took quick action like NZ have already rid themselves of the virus. Meaning we don't really meed a vaccine but a strict and sound contingency plan that will help eradicate the virus. But no, my country's more on stupid stuff so yeah.
1180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Philippines Allows Land-Based Casinos to Accept Bets Online on: November 13, 2020, 09:18:41 PM
They gotta keep tge business open so there's that. Although this may cause some trsut issues between the customers and the management because as far as I have heard, the games will be done thru live shows, and they will be closing out those that need humans to be operated so there's this degree of cheating that the bettors are afraid of. Unless they can reassure people that they are doing clean business, they should be good.
