1081  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cash out or HODL - Bitcoin? on: December 23, 2020, 10:47:01 PM
A lot of people will cash out on this ATH like what happened last 2017, so the most logical way to make the most out of your investment now is to cash out and reinstate your investments once the price stabilizes at a lower rate. You can't expect every bitcoin holder to go on a consensus of not selling since this ATH is very tempting to the most of us waiting since 2017.
cash out if you really need the $'s otherwise hodl !
worst thing would be regreat for selling -early-
Well, that holding isn't good all the time. If we can remember how HOLD make people regretting and blaming themselves during the last Bullrun is that because they are driven by a hold mindset. They don't sell because an expert says that it will continue to move high, it was just an unfortunate thing that it dumps right after hitting its ATH.

Should we have to ignore this thing now? No, we have to consider this. If we are good right now, having profited already, I should have to make a sell some of it. Hold if you are a long-term holder.
True. Sometimes being too confident or convinced of something will get you straight plummeting. That happened in 2017 and with this ATH being ever more crucial than the former, we need to make up our minds. As for the most of us, it can be expected that they will be selling. It's just how it works.
1082  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport betting site offering bets on the Covid-19 pandemic. Worst site now. on: December 23, 2020, 10:11:23 PM
It has been done as a joke a few too many times which may have inspired rich investors into creating games like this. It would be better if amidst the evident downplaying and ridiculing of the potent death COVID-19 brings they help our frontliners through donations or something like that, but it would seem as though they would want to hog the money on their own, which is a big red X on the checklist.
I have even seen a site where it is possible to bet on the number of infections from the virus.
I don't remember the name, but people are becoming more and more innovative and come up with the most strange ideas.
trying to take advantage of the current humanitarian crisis, is not praiseworthy...
I just found out that there is a gambling site that makes Covid 19 a bet. *I hope they will not be the ones who will be positive for Covid 19
See! There are people who would support this because it can be seen as "bold" "innovative" or some other stuff to possibly lift it even higher. And that would be the biggest reason why people will see more of these things coming in thw near future

1084  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to trigger central bank collapse on: December 22, 2020, 11:57:35 PM
As of the moment we can see bitcoin coexisting with fiat currencies. Something we weren't even sure about happening last 2017. We're either going for bitcoin toppling fiat or Fiat toppling bitcoin. But it looks like life found a way to make them both happen. So no, it's very unlikely that bitcoin will be the death of fiat or central bank for that matter, as it needs fiat to be relevant for it to be relevant too.
1085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The demise of Bitcoin. Biggest threat to Bitcoin and all PoW coins on: December 22, 2020, 11:51:03 PM
If this is true regardless of traditions and culture, superpower countries like America and China will flock upon it and would try to get their hands on the rock. Also, this rock of yours is breaking the law of thermodynamics, so I'm not sure if I should believe in you. Energy being emitted from an unlikely source let alone unlimited energy is just too bizarre, absurd even, to make myself believe in it.
There is no threat to Bitcoin, everything is fine. This will not happen in the coming years.
Also, I'm not getting why this should be a threat to bitcoin in the first place. In fact, I believe a renewable yet efficient energy source would spearhead bitcoin's success in the market because it primarily uses electricity to stay alive.
1086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin can't be banned on: December 22, 2020, 11:42:53 PM
Well for one, it is decentrakized, so as long as we are not being run by a one world government, bitcoin is safe. And it's also anonymous, it allows people to use it without their identity being checked, so much so that is even used for illegal purposes like smuggling and drug purchase. As for bytes and bits, there may not be a dedicated kaw for it but certain parameters can be ticked off and on in order to pass a law.
1087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: December 22, 2020, 10:14:39 PM
I am a bit if an overanalyzer myself, so I tend to investigate things in hopes of tipping the scales to my favor since wh is doesn't want to win anyway? So yeah, oftentimes especially if it's a new game I am betting on, where I do not know the stats of the players by heart and all, I would surely analyze them and bet on those who I find will give me better chances at winning.
I don't always rely on the odds, because bookmakers sometimes intentionally underestimate the success of the leader, or vice versa - overestimate the success of the loser... This is often seen in football...
Then again there are cases like these where they intentionally hype a competitor for the next few games and have them intentionally win so when people are already comfortable of picking the guy, they can go around rigging the fight against the bettors' favor. This happened to me thrice already and had been the sole reason why I don't go for flavor of the month and do the research on my own.

1091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Facebook Issue on: December 10, 2020, 09:32:41 PM
If you guys didn't know, Facebook had an issue hours earlier and this includes the Messenger and Instagram, if you're using these two about 6 hours ago you'll be likely to experience the same issue as mine. But this isn't the main concern of me, what bothers me is this, as we all know Facebook has this Libra, their own crypto and I think they are near deploy it, wouldn't it be too dangerous for people who will use Libra when they are still having a major issues with their servers? What if a more complicated issue happen when Libra is already there?

I'm surprised I didn't noticed this lol but my explanation for me is this simple, I copied his application post since he was the last post on that thread and forgot to update my segwit btc address coz I wasn't approved on that Signature campaign and didn't bother myself to check. Try to investigate about our accounts if this is any connected, I'm open for any  Wink

It was my mistake lol not a big deal for me

That's a very lame excuse (and a very old one at that) - try coming up with something a little more original next time.
Upon reviewing Xxmoded's account, I see his registration date and it was on 2014 and mine was on 2017 and we're on the same rank this should make a little sense for an alt account. I don't need to come up for something as an excuse coz I didn't do wrong for the forum, it was my mistake. I don't think this should go too far. I apologize to Xxmoded for linking you to this one, anyyone could have been in your position if you were the preceeding post on that thread, sorry man.

Again, I'm open for any investigation if you guys want to  Smiley

1096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Covid19 effected bitcoin positive or negative? on: December 05, 2020, 11:53:18 PM
I would say it did not heavily affected bitcoin despite the surge of interest in it during the pandemic crisis. Millions of people lost their jobs and have sought for ways to make ends meet, unfortunately a huge majority of these people don't have liquid assets in them that they can use to purchase cryptos so they are stuck in a loop wanting to get in to the bitcoin train but cannot due to the lack of funds, and this sums up the majority of the people who blew the internet traffic with their bitcoin related searches because let's be honest here, the people who already had the funds to buy crypto or already have their own cryptocurrencies in the first place is not worrying about this.
1097  Economy / Economics / Re: Paypal bought up to 70% of all the newly mined bitcoin recently on: December 05, 2020, 11:25:37 PM
The contributions they gave to the market is indeed astounding, but to the growth of the coin as a whole? I guess not so much. Especially when we take into account the fact that they are not allowing their users to do anything else with the bitcoins they purchased thru paypal other than to trade it with already existing fiats. I'm not so sure how this can help the coin grow when they are literally telling people bitcoins can be centralized and regulated.
1098  Economy / Economics / Re: More Banks maybe Closed and cryptocurrency exchangers are new way of banking on: December 05, 2020, 10:54:08 PM
Cryotocurrency exchanges are still in its infancy, it would take a long while before they become viae means of money transfer. One evidence of this is the high transaction fees and the long wait time just to get the momey you need. Should these problems be solved, I don't see any way cryptocurrency exchanges will be inferior to banks anymore.
Banks will remain banks and crypto exchange will just a crypto exchange. People are more familiar using Banks and they don't trust to put large amount in crypto exchange because it was not safe that's why it's impossible to become new way of banking. Governments still do not accept bitcoin or cryptocurrency because they know they cannot control decentralized currency and consequently they protect banks, and banks will continue to exist even as cryptocurrency grows.
Cryptocurrency exchanges are seeing growth and notice from people faster than what you are envisioning. It's constant growth is what will push owners of these exchanges to innovate on their sites to gather more people in and make sure their old ones stay for the longest. As a matter of fact, people are sqitching to exchanges because it is more secure than your traditional bank. And moreso, your money can grow more which is not something banks can do.
1099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the odds of other outcomes matter to you? on: December 05, 2020, 10:25:24 PM
I always take that into account as nothing in this industry would completrly be in favor to your requests. And with randomness in online gambling apparently not being random enough, it's no surprise these houses will choose a favorite among the crowd. So in order to minimize my losses, I always take these numbers into consideration and from there, I'll come up with an answer. Not to mention the cumulative bonus you get in some sites which is exactly what a house favoring you over others would look like.
1100  Economy / Economics / Re: 2021 not Looking good on: December 04, 2020, 11:57:52 PM
Okay. There are people like you who believe this will be the worst year as we are yet to recover from the financial losses we incurred during the pandemic, and there are also people who believe tjat 2021 is the highest time for the economy to recover from it. And personally, I don't think it's that bad to even consider hyperinflation and such, I have good faith that this 2021 offers better opportunities more than 2020 did, both in the economic world and to crypto as well.
