1181  Economy / Economics / Re: Still confused why bitcoin is so bullish? on: November 12, 2020, 11:17:19 PM
I would say that the halving indeed caused the coin to increase in value this year compared to the prior years. Add to the fact that bitcoin and cryptochrrencies in general are seeing huge investments from the public now that a couple jobs are gone, it wouldn't be too surprising that bitcoin will pump. I can say that this year has been very good for bitcoin and the coming years will decide if it's gonna stay up or will subside.
1182  Economy / Economics / Re: Which is better, staking or investing? on: November 12, 2020, 10:36:34 PM
I would say that both got their own advantages, but in the long run investing is what would bring you bigger profits. In staking your coins are kept in place, basically forozen until you choose to decide what you want to with it. Although it's easier said than done. With investing you can broaden your portfolio by investing into multiple assets with the same amount of money you can use to stake. So for me, if you're looking for quick bucks, staking is the answer, but if you want long-term profits, investing is what you should go for.
1183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Role of Bitcoin in Developing counties to accelerate Growth process on: November 12, 2020, 09:32:13 PM
It has little to no traction to countries with low technological advancement, even worse for countries where there's no internet. It tracability is fine up to some degree. It cannot be regulated therefore no profitability can be gained from it in the government's perspective. Bitcoin may indeed be profitable as a standalone but it cannot lift an entire country's economy unlike resources and commodities unfortunately.
1184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quantum computers and cryptocurrencies on: November 11, 2020, 11:27:48 PM
The fear of quantum computers existing for me is a bit over-the-top. I feel like the benefits it will give humanity like more accurate simulations, faster computing power, a powerful AI that can help humans solve problems that are otherwise wouldn't be solvable with our measly brains outweigh this. After all, if you can hack a wallet using quantum computers, you can definitely create a program to combat it.
1185  Economy / Economics / Re: Can legalisation of Cannabis help US economy? on: November 11, 2020, 11:05:35 PM
Well, in a, way it can. More productive citizens means more money into the system. And with a poeerful medicine as cannabis, most diseases not in cluding cancer, it poses great promise in rebuilding the future of these people afflicted with depression, and numerous others to the point that the government can once again rely to them. It's all give and take really.
1186  Economy / Economics / Re: Debt and Crypto? on: November 11, 2020, 10:34:35 PM
I'm seeing banks as not completely dying once bitcoin gains traction over mainstream media but wiuld take measures to integrate themselves to the new world. Like what the OP stated, they can set a buy crypto with us now, pay it later scheme to help investors jumpstart or boost their portfolios while still keeping their commerce alive. They wouldn't be easy to go down especially if we consider the fact that most banks have been here before our grandmas were born. Not that it's a good thing, but not a bad thing either. So unless we create or discover a complete replacement for banks, this is what I assume will be the case for the years to come.
1187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How long until we can bet with bitcoin in real life casinos? on: November 11, 2020, 09:54:27 PM
Although we see Casinos as money draining machines that are out there to drain us out of our finances, we can safely say they would not accept all kinds of money anytime soon. Especially cryptocurrencies like bitcoin that bypass the security feature of some casinos, so not anytime soon will bitcoin be accepted in casinos.
1188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Joe Biden’s Crypto Impact Is Unclear As He Wins Presidency on: November 10, 2020, 11:19:52 PM
Because he does not have a direct impact with it. Not unless he imposes a ban on cryptocurrencies or bitcoin for that matter, I don't see how his presidency will beable to control bitcoin's price or regulate it at all. He's just like aby pther president the US had, none of them being able to do something about bitcoim altogether.
1189  Economy / Economics / Re: What are they hiding from us? on: November 10, 2020, 10:45:44 PM
The thing about these type of people that they always live with the mindset of "I got mine" and they do not even think about the future of their own children. There are plenty of companies who ruin the world right now, the earth and the climate that will make things not easy to live, more places that will burn, more places that will be flooded, more places that is drought ridden and at that point you could have a billion dollars in cash but you will be in a mad max universe, so what would money do to help you?

This is why I think it is highly important that we realize we do not believe anything they say or do since they do not even care about their own future, they know they will live another 10-20 maybe at tops 30 years and they will see world go bad for a short period but they want to be wealthy during that last days and after that they don't mind world becoming inhospitable to humans.
But then again, we can't really not trust them because it is in our best interest to follow their rules and trust that they will do things right. After all they are the ones who directly run the country, what we can do however is just to ensure that they indeed do what they are intended to and to realize that we gotta do our own researches, but be careful with the information that you collect as not everything you gathered will be true.
1190  Economy / Economics / Re: Biden and Cryoto on: November 10, 2020, 10:10:53 PM
With all the years inside bitcoin's bag, I can't understand why we still have to take into account things that weren't even related to bitcoin at all like the president. Bitcoin will prosper with or without Biden as it is not secluded in a single country. It's decentralized, meaning it goes beyond borders.
1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is an entertainment? on: November 10, 2020, 09:38:05 PM
Gambling is considered a form of entertainment due to various reasons, but I will state two of them for you here to give you a good grasp of what's about it.
1. It is fun
2. It is profitable
Gambling is fun. Sure, you may lose a lot and that may give you headaches but what you skgned up for in the first place is the promise of fun. And the fact that it is profitable in one way or another makes it a form of entertainment. The viewers, audience, and the people betting themselves should get something positive back to consider it an entertainment. Which in this case is either cash, or fun.

1196  Economy / Economics / Re: The Difference Between Staking and Investing on: November 08, 2020, 11:17:45 PM
Investing may be more profitable than staking, but you gotta take into consideration the capabilities of the person who wanted to jump on the cryotocurrency hype. Most of us here are still working their regular 9-5 and wouldn't be able to afford to put too much money on the line, that's where staking platforms shine the brightest. And they are also great entry-level strategy for people who are just starting with cryptocurrency investment.
1197  Other / Off-topic / Re: Space Debris: A Subtle Way to Doom Humanity on: November 08, 2020, 10:43:50 PM
This has been the issue with realizing the starlink program of Elon Musk, we have tons and tons of Space Junk floating around our Exosphere that we haven't even thought about on how to cleanup. Starlink's promise of uktra-fast internet speeds is ultimately undervalued considering the amount of costs and hazard the junks will cause in future space missions.
1198  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest threats to the price of Bitcoin. on: November 08, 2020, 09:37:29 PM
What I think will make or break bitciin are the whales in this investment venture. Soon as they cash out their profits, bitcoin will start to decrease in value. If multiple whales cash out, we're talking about an Avenger's Level Threat as that will seriously affect bitcoin's price. Funnily enough, bitcoin is ready established to be affected by some trivial reason, so this is the only viable way bitcoin could ever fail.
1199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use bitcoin? on: November 07, 2020, 11:28:51 PM
Sadly, there is no real practical use for bitcoin because of three things,
It does not have a physical representation
It does not have a stable value
It is not budget-friendly.

Bitcoin npwadays is mostly used for trading and investment, which helps you grow your money. Bitcoin is said by many to replace fiat but as long as there are people investing for its profitability, this, won't happen anytime soon.
1200  Economy / Economics / Re: Government slowly open the economy, will it make the pandemic worst? on: November 07, 2020, 11:00:54 PM
Let's stop the panic with this pandemic and look at how you survived today without having it even though you know to yourself that you have encountered a lot of risky people who might be carrying the virus already.

I guess the covid is just a made-up virus to slow down the global economy and to have what they needed to do. If you're going to observe, no one in your family has experienced the covid. And that's actually not an accident.
You sir are funny. While hundreds of thousands have already died and millions have been left lifeless or jobless becauseof the virus you here are one of those people who still believes the virus is made up. You have to thank the people you encounter for being considerate enough following social distancing protocols despite you being a prick about it. DYOR, and for God's sake, wear a mask. This pandemic is not made up, the virus destroyed almost every country's economy. Be considerate enough in helping your country rebuild itself by following rules.
