1141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did anyone try to "gamble" with ponzi scheme crypto scam services? on: November 24, 2020, 09:12:39 PM
I mean for sure most peoe out here did including me at one point in their crypto journey. And as I mentioned earlier, I was also lured into it. Mostly because of the high gains they promise the public will achieve should we invest in them. Worst thing about it is the fact that I did not even got paid the promised amounts so that's a big L on my part. Nonetheless I learned a valuable lesson that day and had promised myself not to be too gullible ever again.
1142  Economy / Speculation / Re: who believes that the price of BTC high next month? on: November 23, 2020, 11:40:28 PM
With the current trend bitcoin is undeegoing as of the moment, it wouldn't be a pipe dream to say that it has high chances of going really high, about $19000 tops. However, bitcoin is always ready to surprise me and that being said I would not be too surprised if bitcoin reaches its new ATH this year. What I would be confident though us that this ATH will not last long like the one from 2017 because pump and dumpers will cash out their winnings.
1143  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic Coronvirus Impact On Global economy on: November 23, 2020, 11:11:34 PM
It completely toppled down most countries' economies which forced some countries like France and Italy into near recession. Philippines asked for trillions of pesos of loans that they will soon regret once the other countries recover. It definitely created a huge feedback that one can srgue will take a huge amount of time before everyone can recover from it.
1144  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to live without banks? on: November 23, 2020, 11:06:34 PM
banks have been there long before even our grandparents existed not only to offer loans, and etc but to also act as a safehaven for users to lock their money in. Some banks like the Swiss Bank offer added protection which induces some people to use it for money laumdering and other illegal activities. Now, after reading all that, one can argue tjat it will take a very long time for banks to stop existing.
1145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker network now gives '95% of payouts’ in Bitcoin on: November 23, 2020, 10:04:31 PM
This opens up a lot of oppprtunities not only for bitcoin but also for rehabilitation of chronic gamblers in their casinos. These gambkers who won big may find some venefits in investing on it instead of betting it again i side thw casinos, which will break the gambling cycle the person is unfortunately succumbing to.
1146  Economy / Economics / Re: Jobless for 10 years still doing great because Jobs market is a joke on: November 22, 2020, 11:49:32 PM
Currently unemployed and in my 2 month's streak of not finding one! Only got cryptocurrency as my money-makijg mschine and so far everything's really good! Proud for you though knowing you got from where you are in 10 years of not being a corporate slave which is really awesome. Jobs are still important but with the growing awareness of people to the cruelty of the concept and the rise of automation, it's no surprise that all of us will find ways to earn more money not finding jobs!
1147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: satoshi what job he does? occupation and education ? on: November 22, 2020, 11:33:58 PM
There is no good reason why someone would want to find Satoshi Nakamoto as no one will incentivize from it. And at the end of the day, you'll just be wasting your time, your energy and your money for a find that you cannot prove to the world. So you can stop all these Who is Satoshi Nakamoto stuff as it's all but a waste, especially when you're doing it for fame in the cryptocurrency industry.
1148  Economy / Economics / Re: people stop complain about economy and ccovid on: November 22, 2020, 10:07:21 PM
I don't see or feel the reasons why one must not complain about this pandemic. Some of us lost their secured jobs where they've been in for a long period of time while some of us have died or have someone dear to them die because of the pandemic. So the public has all the right and reason to outcry. If you can't handle it then go cover your ears.
1149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake or nitrogen my point of view on: November 22, 2020, 10:04:08 PM
People have been saying that staking is the one that brings the cake in and indeed it is. Especially if on thwt day only a few people wtihdraw their daily commissions, you can easily bring in good money in that manner. Too bad almost all new coins have a staking feature which takes the originality off but yeah.
1150  Economy / Economics / Re: BlackRock’s CIO Says Bitcoin Could Replace Gold on: November 21, 2020, 11:07:42 PM
Glad that more and more people are getting the basic concept behind cryptocurrencies, particularly bitcoin. Gold is a thing of the past and undoubtedly still valuable, but bitcoin has far more benefits and reachability against gold that only got is history in ancient times to back its, relevance in the market. That being said, this is but one of the million steps bitcoin wiuld take towards global adoption.
1151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dose meme helps a crypto to be viral? on: November 21, 2020, 10:51:38 PM
It heavily depends on how the coin is protrayed in the meme. Is it using crypto as a laughingstock? Is it magnifying cryotocurrency's name and status? That is where it usually pans out. Memes are the biggest media source as of the moment. Even being far more reliable than traditional media, and because of this, people are easy to be swayed by memes. So the impact that crypto memes inflict to the industry is heavy, it's just a matter of is it good or bad?
1152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you verify every bet as a gambler? Provably Fair Guide. on: November 21, 2020, 10:02:04 PM
Most people like living off the edge thinking that a single varifier cannot dictate their winnings or losses when it can literally save you from unfair losses rigged by the server and the gambling site itself. Casinos do that thing where they check every game before letting people play it, why has it all of a sudden become "inconvenient" for you guys to verify the credibility of your bets.
1153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not Sure On Whether To Buy Crypto Or Not? on: November 21, 2020, 09:21:40 PM
The beauty about cryptocurrency is the fact that the choice will be entirely yours, but the regret is also in you once the coin you wanted to buy tkes off and you second-guessed on it. So if you see yourself in a situation where you are stuck between buying crypto or not, check your portfolio, does it habe crypto in it? If no is your answer, you might just need to buy some.
1154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Money laundering via BTC on: November 20, 2020, 11:15:02 PM
It's no surprise that bitciin is being ised for these kinds of erratic activities. Even in the days of ye old dark web this is what bitcoin is primarily used for. To cover up tracks of payment transactions. Nonetheless you gotta take the good with the bad, and seeing how bitcoin offered more benefits than the downsides, it's fine keeping it around.
1155  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Crypto Jobs 2020 on: November 20, 2020, 10:41:09 PM
They're more like task than regular jobs really. Which also reflects in the payment. It is indeed true that thid pandemic had ehittked everyone's resources, however. With these "jobs" per se you can never earn too much to support yourself in two weeks. So the best jobs out there are still out of reach from the public.
1156  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has just halved for the third time! A snaphot of various metrics! on: November 20, 2020, 10:07:46 PM
A little update after three months.
A brief recognition on mining industry: it's has been an hell of a battle,, but at the end some winner is surfacing!

Difficulty exploded after the halving.

The difficulty went up 23% after the halving. This means an equal reduction in the profitability of all mining hardware in production at the date of the halving.
Yet the "arms race" has not stopped, miners are still upgrading their equipment , hence the difficulty has increased continuously (apart from the last decline due to the monsoon season in Sichuan).

Notwithstanding all this capital expenditures, bitcoin price rally  repaid the miners of their substantial investments in hardware and today their revenues are reversed to pre-halving levels.

Quote
#Bitcoin  miner revenue is back at pre-halving levels.

https://twitter.com/glassnode/status/1329150613255573505?s=20

This just makes us imagine how competitive this industry has become. Long gone are the mining at home, not it is proper industrial operation and logistic.
And when someone complains about bitcoin's energy consumption, it can be argued that energy consumption is as low as possible, and if bitcoin didn't exist all that energy would be wasted in less productive ways, since any industry other than bitcoin mining is less energy efficient!

Now the price of bitcoin had reached a new high in the price. It had crossed a value of 18600$ and it was not expected by the people in a pandemic situation. As we know the price of bitcoin will increase only if the demand had increased in the market. So many had interested in buying bitcoin in this pandemic was a surprise one.
Quite scary if you ask me. If this continues, there will be more problems in the future acquiring bitcoins than it is today. What's more, corporations are also riding the bitciin wave and have owned a significant amount of it in a very small period of time. Quite saddening to find out that a coin meant to be made for the people is being abused by the 1% of the richest. Let's just hope for the best I guess.
1157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any insurance service for gamblers to retain heavy losses....??? on: November 20, 2020, 09:14:47 PM
There is no way an insurance will be available for such carwless activities. Insurances are made for situations that are unprecedented and unwanted by the owner. Sure losses are unwanted but they are very much precedented as everyone should be aware that when gambling, you will always lose. If you want a good insurance policy try learning self-control. It's free and it gets the job done.
1158  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Treasuries on: November 19, 2020, 10:55:30 PM
This will hasten the adoption process of bitcijn especiy when these big of a company are the ones who are open in saying that bitcoin is the future. However, I am quite in doubt that they are saving bitcoins for that sole purpose only. These corporations may be hiding something from us that we do not know of yet. This ckuld either make or break bitcoin's future, and being the public, we can only afford to watch.
1159  Economy / Economics / Re: Look like covid is over Once we take loans on: November 19, 2020, 10:36:06 PM
Countries like Vietnam, New Zealand, and a bunch of asian countries where we believe they would have trouble eradicating the virus are now well off and is in stable economy. Whereas countries that are way "well-off" than these countries are struggling to stop the pandemic on their end. It's all in good governance and proper education on the part of the public. If one doesn't agree, there will become a problem. And stop with these conspiracy theories telling COVID-19 is a hoax. It can be a weapon for all I care, but you can't say it's fake in front of the millions who are suffering from it and the hundreds of thousands that have already died across the globe.
1160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery Gambling on: November 19, 2020, 09:34:22 PM
In my whole year stay in the Philippines I got a taste of their gambling shenanigans, they have a similar thing going on which is called "ending" where you basically guess the last digit of the scores of both teams. If you win, you take all of the bets with some commission to the person who roams to take your bets. If you lose, you lose. They usually don't bet too high on this game as these are usually found in slums and high-poverty areas. And their usual betting would cost as low as $0.50 which to be fair, is a good amount of money in that country.
