241  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Reasons why I am buying Bitcoin!! on: September 29, 2019, 03:13:56 PM
My 5 reasons for having bought and for keeping bitcoin are as follows.

1. Bitcoin has potential to change the world.
2. Bitcoin is a great investment that can provide substantial gains.
3. Bitcoin is decentralized.
4. Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency.
5. I can use Bitcoin to buy things.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Betting : A big problem to crypto? on: September 29, 2019, 03:04:10 PM
I once came across an article where it was stated that over 60 percent of most crypto transaction were used for betting. I don't see anything wrong with that. But don't you think it portrays crypto in a bad way?

As long as it is used, specifically for betting and gambling, i wouldn't worry too much. It counts as real world adoption and thats whats important because it further proves to strengthen the value of cryptocurrencies as something of value in the real world.

Besides, that article is most likely false too anyway, 60% is too much.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what is happening now? on: September 29, 2019, 02:58:30 PM
hello friend,
in 2017 I was very happy when I saw the price of Bitcoin increase in coinmarketcap because when the price of Bitcoin increases, then the price of Altcoin will immediately increase too, but for now when the price of Bitcoin increases and it does not affect for the prices of Altcoin (even still down), then when the price of Bitcoin goes down and at that time the price of Altcoin will go down too, so I do not understand the current state of the market and what is happening right now.

Someone once said, "Life is like a tire, sometimes you're on top, sometimes you're at the bottom."

People say it's just all part of the cycle that is crypto. What is happening to the crypto market right now is that it is recovering from the bull run just a few months ago. Just give it some time and be patient, just hold and patient.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEST DIVIDEND CRYPTO's to invest in... on: September 29, 2019, 02:49:56 PM

Hi,

I wanted to start a thread on dividend producing crypto's. Please list yours and don't worry about being labeled "shilling" because we want to do our own research.
The more the better and collectively we can determine the good ones from the bad ones. Even shit coins can make all of us money.

Thank you.

I believe the correct term for what you are looking for is MASTERNODE based coins. With masternodes all you need to do is to set it up, afterwards, you just wait for the specified time frame and you will be rewarded an X percentage amount of coins.

Be careful tho, not all masternodes are worth investing on.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: way to use all 8GB VRAM which is half disabled on P104-100 card on: September 28, 2019, 11:29:57 PM
Hope it's not off topic but i can't find whether this has been asked before, is it possible that the p106 also has 8gb soldered on board? Currently the p106 is the counterpart of the 1060 6gb and so if the p104 has 8gb hidden inside it, is it possible the p106 has too?

I've read about some hacks to the p106 to make it usable for gaming, so maybe theres one for unlocking more GB too?
246  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fundamental or technical, which one you do used? on: September 28, 2019, 11:11:21 PM
Fundamental analysis is a good idea, especially in the crypto world. There are lots of technical analysis that people do but in the end it may not always apply to crypto because of its volatility. What matters and always remains is whether a coin is fundamentally solid or not.

Trade at your own risk (TAYOR), do your own research (DYOR)!
247  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Making exponential gains trading on: September 28, 2019, 11:09:11 PM
I've been trading (?) cryptocurrencies for a little over 5 years and have always had little to no success even doubling my money. I know I know, it's not supposed to be easy to double your money.
I work in finance so I understand that a 20% annualized gain is already a ridiculous amount.

I have however seen players doubling, tripling, 10xing their money through a variety of ways of which I can list here:

-Bitmex, Deribit etc. Perpetual Futures leveraged trading (1-100 x leverage - SUPER HIGH RISK)
-ICO/IEO trading (4-5 returns, MEDIUM RISK)
-Spot Trading (BTC/USD, MEDIUM RISK)
-Deribit Options (MEDIUM RISK)
-Cross Exchange Arbs/DEX Arbing (Buying alts on Dex before exchange launching on Binance - requires insider information)
-Gambling Games (Dice, etc.)

Does anyone else have any ideas to share or methods that consistently gives them good gains?

You've pretty much listed everything down, except for maybe how you can do ICO/IEO "investing" instead of trading.

Also, theres this thing you can do on the freebitco.in where they promise to give you like @ 0.02% interest per day. Computed, thats like 7.2% per year. I'd say it's also high risk since they can simply close down the website and run away with your money and you have nothing to chase them with.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB time to buy ? on: September 28, 2019, 03:34:05 PM
hi guys
do u think 0.003 BTC is a good price to invest in BNB because a few days ago BNB hit 0.0048 BTC
i think current price seem good to invest  Roll Eyes

Binance is now recognized as the top exchange around the whole  world. BNB is definitely a good investment if you'll be trading on their platform. For speculative value of BNB of course i'd always recommend to look at the charts and do the necessary research.

But if you wanna rush in and just buy something without thinking, i'd still suggest BNB because it's fundamentally solid because of Binance being a top exchange in the world  Wink
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cloudmining experience on: September 28, 2019, 03:31:18 PM
Cloud mining is mostly just scams. There are already lots of people who have written out HOW and WHY cloud mining is a scam and all you have to do is google it and educate yourself. In fact, i've even done it for you, heres an article i found, in less than a minute, detailing why you should avoid cloudmining: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/6gbf9x/cloud_mining_is_a_scam/

Be warned! Don't fall for cloud mining. Just build your own rig if you are interested in mining.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [AMD] New AMD RX Graphics Cards of 2019 - RX 5700 / XT, RX 600 on: September 28, 2019, 03:21:20 PM
At this point why would anybody buy a rx 5700XT over a regular 5700 if they almost produce the same hashrate?

Good question, i too would like to know, WHY?

But if i had to speculate, some people will buy it just because it is more expensive and makes it seem more premium. I know some people who are like this and are fixated on proving to the world that they are rich. All we can do is pray for them. lol.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to trade during red market? on: September 28, 2019, 03:16:43 PM
There are suggestions to trade if looking for profits during this period. How and what to do to ensure maximum profits?
Or is it better to invest in top coins and play safe?

P.S.: Though honestly, I don't think anything is safe anyways.

If you have to ask this on a forum, then you have no business trading during the red. Without proper research or education, you will not be trading but instead be GAMBLING. Beware and always make sure you remember the ever present cliche, "only trade what you can afford to lose."

Anyway, good luck to you bear market traders!  Shocked
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When thinking forward always think backward on: September 28, 2019, 03:14:30 PM
Holding is the only way for altcoin investors now unless you want to accept your losses and exit but its better to have patience, i have seen coins that worth 1,500$ a year ago and they are now 200$ , i have sold airdrop tokens that should worth 150$ for 10$ to sustain but i am not stupid enough to get rid of all my tokens and coins because market is not in my favour, be wise and remember that those tokens you are getting dispose off can turn something when market start turning for the better, be determined to win, when thinking forward always think backward as well.

You have a point but you might be better off actually looking at the project's status instead of just speculating. Is the project making progress? Are updates being posted, is their blog active? There are lots of things you can do to determine if a project is worth waiting for.

Obviously if nothing new is said about the coin you are holding then the developers have probably already made an exit, so you know now that you should stop hodling nothing and sell!
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Trust a Project Announce BY A Legendary Member on: September 28, 2019, 03:05:36 PM
Will you trust a project that the one that announced it in the announcement thread is a legendary member even though the legendary has announced that he is not part of the team and was just part of the service he offered.

Let me know your thoughts here.

Forum rank isn't everything. There are a lot of reasons which can be listed to show how a legendary account can not be trusted. In fact, here are some:

1. Legendary accounts can be bought.
2. Legendary accounts can be borrowed.
3. Legendary accounts can be created by spammers.

Those are only some reasons but as you can see the only thing you can guarantee with account rank is how old that account is. Other than that, it's all a mask that you can't really trust.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The price plunged down today? on: September 28, 2019, 02:56:45 PM
Hopefully this is just a correction and does not last long, patience is really testing us, we should not panic if another correction occurs.

Funny how this thread is still valid and relevant after more than 1 year, and people still wonder why this happens. It's as if people never learn or never bother to educate themselves. In any case, like all the other posters have said, this is either just:

1. part of the crypto cycle,
2. is temporary,
3. just hold and be patient.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Remote mining rig through Android phone any suggestion for windows 10? on: September 28, 2019, 02:42:37 PM
Just make sure you aren't using it from an IP other people are because they will suspect you're doing it for commercial use and blacklist your device.

Then you get hit with a time limit on your connections. Other than that it works very well and I've personally used it for years.

What do you mean by this?

This is the reason why I'm looking for other alternatives because I can only access my rig with limited time unlike before.

I'm going to try VNC but before I install this on my rig and phone let me know who already use this for mining rig if this is safe for our crypto or not?

VNC is safe. I've used it before. Besides, i don't think you need to be opening files containing your private keys when restarting/configuring miner, right?  Wink

With regards to teamviewer, what he means is that you need to limit the number of different IP addresses you use to connect to your remote computer. If you access your remote computer from your office, your friend's house, your mobile data while driving, etc. It will increase the chance of teamviewer thinking that you are using teamviewer commercially and therefore your access will get limited. If you want to remotely administer your rig, try as much as possible to only do it from your office connection, for example.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GRAFT Letter to the Community. WTF!? on: September 28, 2019, 02:36:42 PM
Graft and corruption. It's as if the coin's name was not warning enough.

Ouch. Reading this bit of news must really hurt for all graft investors. Sadly, this seems to be the state of altcoins at the moment. ICOs collect money, then exit slowly. So many people are being turned off about crypto this way. Hopefully people are more aware this time around and stop investing in things they do not understand.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC - outperforming Altcoin Porrfolio on: September 28, 2019, 02:33:31 PM
The only altcoin which i believe can POTENTIALLY, and that is a very important keyword, outperform bitcoin is Ethereum. Other than ETH, i don't think there are any other altcoins that can match bitcoin's fame and adoption rate.

People are saying altcoins are over, many have been turned off by so many scams, bitcoin is the way to go for now or so it seems.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Large GPU Mining Operations - Discussion Around Valuation on: September 28, 2019, 02:30:22 PM
If i was going to be a potential buyer of your mining operation i'd first ask how much do you earn?
Given u say you have 100 racks x 6 rx 580s each at $0.09 electricity then i'd say your daily revenue is around $41 per day based on whattomine stats as of writing. That translates to $1230 per month.

Now, assuming you bought all your GPUs at brand new prices of lets say $250 each, then the total cost of your GPUs alone would be $150,000. Of course you'd have to factor in depreciation costs and all that, lets say your investment is now worth half, at $75,000.

So given the above, i'd have to wait around 60 months (75000/1230) just to get ROI on your mining operations. Thats 5 years before i turn any profit and a lot does happen in crypto with a span of 5 years. Therefore, i'd really need to get a better deal in order to consider buying your mining operation, so sadly, i would low ball it further and would probably (would still be not sure about going through with it), offer maybe $25,000.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top coins to have in my portfolio? on: September 28, 2019, 09:06:53 AM
Hey guys, other than these 10 coins https://cryptotradernews.com/cryptocurrency/10-coins-to-have-in-your-portfolio/ which other tokens should I consider having in my portfolio?

Input is appreciated!

Because of the recent downturn in the crypto market, i'd highly suggest investing only on what i call the "Big 3" coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Litecoin. Aside from these three, the market is just overrun by scams and get rich quick schemes that it almost is too dangerous to invest on anything else.

Stick with the big coins or blue chips which are less prone to manipulation. Good luck bro!
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Blocknet - Established In 2014. First DEX on the market. Price predictions? on: September 28, 2019, 09:04:20 AM
It's probably tanked to below $1 for a hell of a good reason. Are you aware why? You should consider these things before buying into coins like these. For all we know, the developers have already left this project and nobody is maintaining or has any plans of reviving this.

Seeing it's from 2014 and no new updates further raises red flags! Caveat!
