They state clearly that they have offered Kanye a bounty for his approval? Damn these premines to hell. However if the fish takes the bait I could see lots of money coming into cryptos.

This is what I love about these celebrity coins. They will bring in many new enthusiasts, more money and our coins will go up up up! Doge meme is something that high school and younger kids are into. They don't have money. Kanye West, Kim Kardashian and the others that follow will bring the older crowd along with the teenagers. This is only good for our community. Once people see they can make money greed will take over and we will sell our coins at a premium. Muwahahaha! Dr. Evil would be proud.

2403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 2CHCOIN on: January 05, 2014, 12:02:59 AM
i believe in future each country will have its own crypto-currancy, china have cdncoin ( huge support there for it), russia 2chcoin, and india are releasing there own coin soon.

crypto-currancies will be a trillion doller industry in the coming years.

there are alot of bitcoin users in russia and china that seek a coin to put their own stamp on.

what makes a coin a success is how it is used, think of the population of russia and china, they could very easy setup an exchange in their own country and trade their own crypto-currancies into their own fiat.

this is why i try and mine some of all coins and hope i am on the rocket of one that is successful

If that is true then I'm going to be so rich I'll make dread pirate roberts look like a peasant.  Roll Eyes

2405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - Relaunch January 10th on: January 04, 2014, 07:14:14 PM
DEV - here are some tips for you if you REALLY want to release a fair coin.

1. scale the blocks differently - make the first blocks worth LESS not more.

if you have low diff and high reward = instamine hell

huge farms with low latency rape the coins as we have seen today.

so the first 20k blocks worth only 5000 coins  or however many blocks you think it will take to give the pools enough time to set up. Then bring the big 800k blocks out.

actually that is ALL you have to do, no other tips required.

Also if this coin really did not have POS - why was there a stake readout on the wallet?

Luckily this coin broke down, however what you saw happen here today is happening in the background on all coins. A few huge farms are taking everything and all of the noobs are getting some scraps. This coin actually forked or something because even confirmed coins vanished.

Ha! I was just coming here to make this exact post.

May I add,

Dev, if you can, make the difficulty re-target more aggressive and more intelligent. If you are able. Once that big farm leaves the difficulty needs to come down fast for the small miners. Else the coin will be dead again.

Good luck.

This is where we are at now

blocks" : 8291,
"currentblocksize" : 1000,
"currentblocktx" : 0,
"difficulty" : 0.00058648,

at about block 40,000 the nfactor kicks in and GPUs are 7x slower. About 2 weeks of mining at 32 second blocks. Maybe thats when I can get to keep a block or two. But I doubt it.

Watching the blocks go by in the debug window looks like a client syncing for the first time. I doubt new people can even catch up to the front of the block chain. This is hilarious!

Ya you lost billions of orphans and didn't waste your time.

Its a shame really.. 894 transactions and 0 blocks.. Giftcoin 2.0

I watch immature fill up to 10 million. Then it all disappears.. over and over and over again. You just gotta laugh. I think the best thing to do is go back to WDC.

2411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - Bounties - Released! on: January 04, 2014, 05:25:16 PM
I don't get it why new coins always start with so low diff. Higher the diff up for fuck sake...

Because dev is low-ping / low diff mining the first 10,000 blocks, that's 4,000,000,000 MRC before we get in...

Yup.. The new pre-mine folks. Get a good look. Giftcoin was the same. So... are they worthy of being on exchanges? lol.. no.

Not biggest coin ever. That title is already taken. Maybe fastest coin to fail.

This coin is going nuts, watch the difficulty. Its climbing way faster than XPM ever did. I think they are mining the shit out of this in China.

Were almost at 9 in just a few days!

Its sounds like some people were mining on forks. If you loose coins after you re-sync (restart client) then thats probably because for the last bit you were mining on a forked chain getting blocks on that chain. When you reconnect to the proper blockchain those coins disappear because nobody on the right blockchain has confirmed them. Happened to me a few times, its part of mining. Here is a tip. If you are solo mining watch the block # in the console window. Make sure it matches the current block numbers on the pools. It will be obvious if you are forked.

Goodnight fellow miners.
2417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PRE ANN - #### NEW ALT ASSET - CPU ONLY MINING #### on: January 04, 2014, 03:39:54 AM
sounded interesting until closed source. I don't see that working at all.

What exactly would you do with the source code?

They look through it to see ensure there are no viruses, and that your not scamming. Like taking a cut of each block. They also make pools. I Just scan the windows binary with Virustotal.
2418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PRE ANN - #### NEW ALT ASSET - CPU ONLY MINING #### on: January 04, 2014, 02:50:49 AM
Ya know, if use a primecoin fork you could release the source. You wouldn't have to worry about pools picking up your coin until it actually took off. Solo mining with CPU is all that can be done at the wallet level. Smart guys could merge code from optimized primecoin wallets to make their miner faster so just release yours with those changes already in.

Just a thought.  Wink

What... no BatCoin ??

Cool coin!

C'mon how can these two even fight. One punch from Superman would split that rich boy into pieces. Cool pic anyway.

2420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FairCoin Foundation - CryptoCurrency Watchdog. on: January 04, 2014, 02:07:33 AM
You need to make this something like an ISO 9002 rating that corporations use. The Foundation can have this rating system or w/e so that new coins can instantly be identified by miners as "legit" and profitable. Other scam coins will still be mined but having this rating from the foundation could make a new coin much more enticing to mine.

I like the idea.
