Hi B!z, I'd like to do another trade for a similar amount as last time. PM me when you're online and we can sort it out. Thanks.

Glad you figured it out  Smiley we all love a bit of negative profit mining for shits and giggles  Cheesy

Have you opened it up and checked if heatsinks have fallen off or if its full of dust and fluff?
2404  Bitcoin / Hardware / S3+ board running on raspberry pi? on: August 06, 2016, 09:17:02 AM
Hi guys,

Is there anyway to run an old s3+ board on a raspi? I've seen a USB to uart device with 6pins like you would use with a pickit 3.

Just wondered how difficult it would be. I have contacted a member on here regarding a pcb they developed for this but never got a reply after an initial message.

Thanks.
2405  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTE btc --> Paypal usd on: August 06, 2016, 09:12:39 AM
Are you looking for one trade for the whole amount or are you willing to do smaller trades? If you're ok doing smaller ones then drop me a PM and we can do a deal. Thanks.
2406  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S3: Resurrecting controller boards on: August 06, 2016, 06:22:09 AM
I've still got an s3+ with one hashing board that isn't recognised. Can't seem to find the fault. Would love to get it working again. Tried swapping ribbon cables and it still didn't work.
2407  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: (hacked) S7LN Group Buy on: August 05, 2016, 06:10:11 PM
Mine was still hashing fine. Registering on pools and GUI said the correct hashrate. Just went a bit funny. Rebooted and all is fine again using 590w in total.
2408  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Bitminter bitcoin mining pool - Pays TxFees, Merged Mining, Fair PPLNS rewards on: August 05, 2016, 03:15:13 PM
Just did the math again and on average the pool would need to get 8 blocks per month for it to be slightly more profitable than selling all my hash to nicehash. I fully appreciate the luck aspect but I just see more and more red filling the block list on the stats page  Cry

Oh and I fully appreciate that its no ones fault and this is a great pool to hash with, I just wish there was some better luck.
2409  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: (hacked) S7LN Group Buy on: August 05, 2016, 03:01:59 PM
So came home after work today to see that the power meter was only reading 404w at the wall. When I left this morning it was reading 590w (s7-ln and a raspi running two gekkos at 225m on the same plug socket).

One temp reading was 38 and the other 60. Ive rebooted it and will see what happens. Just wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience?
2410  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Bitminter bitcoin mining pool - Pays TxFees, Merged Mining, Fair PPLNS rewards on: August 05, 2016, 05:33:25 AM
It certainly is. I've had to pool balance at nicehash aswell to try and get some income from my little miner. 2/3 pointed here and 1/3 hashpower pointed at nicehash. Our luck is really sucking. If I pointed all my hash at nicehash I would just break even each month. Need at least 4blocks a month here to do the same and things just aren't going that way lately  Sad
2411  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: August 04, 2016, 05:31:27 PM
I did setup a miner with them but when I started looking at the overall gains for 12 hours, it seemed like NH was giving me more.  The biggest problem with NH is they tend to set the difficulty way up there so it takes awhile for a share of mine to be accepted.  ZPool was accepting plenty of hashes but the payout seemed low.  I don't know.... Maybe I'm just not giving it long enough???

it depends on the market.. today NH is paying right at .00122 and zpool is at .0019...

NH has 3% fee and zpool is 2%..

you can keep track of the pools here
http://poolpicker.eu/table?algo=sha-256

keep in mind, yesterdays payout is not guaranteed to be todays payout..

but you can clearly see NH is usually on the bottom of those pools.

zpool and nh you can set the diff with a d= in the password.

you can try d=128 or d=64

You can try putting d=(whatever) but I doubt it will work. Certainly hasn't worked for me on my S7LN that im balancing between two pools. They still set the diff really high anyway even though I set the d= to what the other pool automatically sets.

Well I retract my previous statements. B!z kept to the deal and I have just received the BTC. I would gladly deal again and understand everyone hasn't got immediate access to the forum all day.

Thanks for the trade  Smiley
2413  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: 👍 [Trusted Legendary Member] b!z wants your PayPal (+15%), has Bitcoin on: August 03, 2016, 10:32:28 PM
Anyone heard from b!z??  I still haven't received my BTC and no response to PM's. Its been almost 2 days of silence. I would've thought that someone whos a legendary member and trades BTC would be more available to do business  Huh

probably checking to see if there will be chargeback or maybe hes getting things together .
hope it goes well for you buddy

Well if he read my feedback he would see that I don't chargeback and have done various trades using PayPal. I'm just disappointed that we agreed on a deal for a trade and I upheld my end and so far he hasn't.  Cry

Just putting a thread up as I have recently read about the 21 Inc raspberry pi bitcoin miner. Its peaked my interest and wondered if anyone has the kit laying around.

2417  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling BTC for PayPal - $50 available on: August 03, 2016, 05:40:29 AM
Sorry, only dealing with those who have been around long enough and have done many BTC to PayPal trades (not including trades with bought / farmed accounts) without any problems.

If you take a look at my feedback it's the only method of trading PayPal I use and have done many trades with various members. My account is not bought, I'm an active member of the forum (see my posts). Thanks.
2418  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Does anyone point their miners at nicehash PPS? on: August 02, 2016, 09:11:12 PM
Thank you -ck. That explains it. For some reason it seems to have slowed somewhat now ive changed the arranegemtn of the pools in the list on the Ant gui. Ill check again in the morning and see what the stats are doing.

Needless to say I think its taking the piss that you point your miner to the sha256 server and end up getting loads of problems because they are trying to mine some other coin.
2419  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Does anyone point their miners at nicehash PPS? on: August 02, 2016, 08:18:51 PM
Its one machine. S7LN. I putty'd into it and changed the cgminer pool management settings. The other two pools in the settings are behaving as normal, exactly the same way as they have done when I mined on them on their own. Its only the nicehash server (sha256.eu.nicehash.com:3334#xnsub) that's the issue.

I have tried the above url without the #xnsub (which was suggested by the support email) and I get the same result.

Who knows what nicehash is redirecting your miners to mine.  That could be what it is.

Well after trying various options like switching to the USA server it seems that its pretty simple. Nicehash doesn't like it when your miner is set to "pool balance" it ran fine for 15mins with no rejects when it was set to "failover" as default, but as soon as I putty'd in and changed it to "balance" the rejects started to rise, but just for the nicehash server. Still cant explain why that would be though but I assume its as Laviathon has said.
2420  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE servers 188 blocks solved! on: August 02, 2016, 07:56:37 PM
Do you have free electricity? if not then you will never profit from them. If you are just mining as a hobby (as I am) then point them at a smaller pool that lets you build up your "dust" payments until you reach a withdrawal quota. Or just solo mine and pray  Wink
