Error Report:

New TDXMiner Integration only supports 10 GPUs in the monitoring portal, even though all 13 are working. This was the same issue when I manually installed TDXMiner in the old ethos version. However, it also reports some working GPUs as 0.0 hash, even though the tailing output shows them working, and the pool shows the correct hashrate as well.
Awesome Miner doesn't have any specifc support TDXMiner. Can you share more details on this issue from an Awesome Miner point of view?
2443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 10000 miners on: August 02, 2018, 06:01:54 PM
snip..

If a pool is indicated as "Dead", it's considered Dead by the ASIC miner. Awesome Miner is simply displaying the pool connection status as reported by the Antminer, and Awesome Miner isn't related to this connection. However, I do agree that it sounds strange that it's reported as dead until you switch to it.

From what I can see in the log, Awesome Miner do send the commands to set pool priority to the Antminer as part of the profit switching:

Code:
7/31/2018 5:18:42 PM.973 [005] [S][ExternalMiner#15 - z9-12] Execute command: PoolCommand
7/31/2018 5:18:42 PM.982 [005] [S][ExternalMiner#15 - z9-12] Executing API command: PoolPriority 1,2,0

Can you test if the same operation works if you try it manually? On the Pools tab, click on the right side of the "Prioritize" button and select the menu item "Define Priority and Quota". Please give this feature a try as a troubleshooting step, as it also are sending the "PoolPriority" commands to the Antminers. You can look for "Executing API command: PoolPriority" in the log files when performing this operation.

The display of "Claymore" on the View Details tab is just a UI bug, and it will be corrected.

The "dead" thing is kind of interesting... long story short, I typo'd the "stratum+tcp://" part as "stratum+tcp//" (at least, i assume I did it...), so the 2nd and 3rd pool was showing as 'stratum+tcp://stratum+tcp//pool.name:port' in antminer. I didn't see this because of whatever bug causes the status page to stop working after I manually "change" a pool.

Oddly enough, these same definitions worked fine if I changed to a pool (which doesn't make sense either since the typo was there as well...).

net-net, looks like profit switching may be working now, the one I enabled has jumped to another coin as I was writing this up.

... and yeah, "prioritize" now works.

Is it possible to "prioritize" an entire group or selection? Perhaps on the miner->rightclick menu, could you add a "Prioritize" option?

-j
Thanks for the update. The Prioritize button only operates on a single selected miner. If you have multiple miners they may not have the same pools, but what you point out here might be for the scenario when then in fact do.

Hi all,

Just thought I would show off the web interface I made for Awesome Miner:
http://stats.finnsk3.com/

It uses the Awesome Miner API along with Nvidia-SMI and and API to my enphase solar controller.
I am also using a CLI based overclocking tool I wrote in C to apply my overclocks as I hate msi ab.

That's the public view, as I am authenticated I see stop, start, restart, reboot, set TDP,set overclocks buttons.

The rigs are all on TPLink HS100/HS110 smart power points and the interface monitors the rigs and if they are unreachable for 5minutes it turns the power point off, waits 30 seconds then turns it back on. All the rigs are set in bios to boot on power outage.

I have onpeak/offpeak power costing so during week days for 8 hours a day my power costs twice as much so my TDP limits are automatically heavily restricted during peak power cost.

When any of my 1080ti rigs start mining Ethereum it automatically launches the ethenlargement pill and closes it if they stop mining Eth.

If I launch discord or a game etc. on my main rig my monitoring script stop the rig from mining, set's my 1080tis TDP to 350w and sets my gaming clocks, resumes mining when I exit all games.

Scripts running on my server:

Now you have something to aim for Awesome Miner devs Tongue
Great work! Very cool with the solar integration as well.

I have AwesomeMiner Cloud services - is there a way to set upload frequency?
I will look into making this configurable in one on the next releases.

Hi patrike, is it possible to show current share Difficulty submitted from the pool for antminer s9?

Awesome Miner doesn't have support for displaying that one in the miner list. The value is only available if you right click on a miner and select View Details and then go to the Pools tab.

Hello
Im trying to add t-rex miner manually. I managed to get it working but not getting any stats "Interface Offline"
Anyone have an solution?

Why? AM fully supports the new version of T-Rex. Simply use the newest version of AM.
I have newest AM and T-Rex. Maybe im doing smth wrong?
It's not on predefinied list so im adding it manually.
I have set up compatibility mode Full and compatible software CCminer

EDIT: When i don't use comatibility mode i can't add it to profit switcher.

Are you using Development Preview versions of AM?

T-Rex support was added since 5.3.4
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=676942.msg42624417#msg42624417

Follow the instructions in the post to get Development Preview versions, or download from the direct link from the post by Patrike.

T-Rex provides it's own API in JSON format, thus AM won't read it when you set it to ccMiner API compatible mode and that's why you are seeing "Interface Offline"
Got it, already it's working, but there is a 0.5.1 T-rex, how to update to 0.5.6?
When i change the autodownload links with my zip 0.5.6 it's not working, standard message about virus or smth from awsome I need to manually replace t-rex.exe in remote folder and then it starts with new version but want to work it with autoupdate.
How did you point ot the zip file for 0.5.6? There are no direct download links published by the T-rex team. I've just downloaded the latest version of it from their Mega-site and put it here:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/awesomeminer-download/t-rex-0.5.6-win-cuda9.1.zip

Using the link above in Options dialog, Managed Software section, should work fine. The next release of Awesome Miner will of course include the new T-Rex version as well.

Patrike, Please add BTG in MPH pool list and add it to profitability switching too. Bittrex had just re-openned BTG wallet so auto exchange is back online again. Adding pool manually doesn't add the coin to profitability switching.

Thanks
Best Regards
I'm looking into how to support BTG in the best way. Right now it's a bit messy as it first was considered to be Equihash BTG (based on Equihash 144,5) by most sources. Now it's considered to be ZHash (also Equihash 144,5), but it still requires a personalization string unique to this coin.

MPH still list the coin as Equihash BTG, while WhatToMine and Coincalculators recently moved it to ZHash.

Awesome Miner is currently doing all setup based on which algorithm you are mining, not the coin. It's possible to manually set a personalization string, but there should be some concept in Awesome Miner that makes sense of all this. Setting up mining was difficult enough with the large number of mining software and algorithms, and if each coin also start to have their own parameters, it will get even more complex. The personalization parameter is of course different depending on mining software as well, so setting it once on a pool i just a partial solution.

Didn't read the whole thread, but can someone answer me the following:

Is it possible to setup Asics with some kind of pool switching by profit?

I mean, setting up a pool group and AwesomeMiner chooses always the most profitable one for mining?
Any way to do this and if yes, how exactly?

Yes, its easy for Antminers. Here you go: http://awesomeminer.com/help/profitswitching.aspx

Has anyone been able to get the Z9 mini working with profit switching?

@Patrike - I have 1 antminer with "profit switching profile" checked with "default", API access is enabled. In coins, I have 3 coins defined, ZEN, ZCL, ZEC and revenue/profit data is filled in and regularly updated when I look at the coins tab, and I have 3 pools in 'default pools' that correspond to each of those three coins. I can manually switch between these using RightClick->Switch Pool. I have the coin associated with each of those pools and get proper profit information in the "miners" summary tab.

When i look at the external miner and go to the "pools" tab, the first pool shows enabled, the other 2 pools show as "dead".  I think "dead" is a bug there - if I manually change to the pool, the pool works fine.

If I right click on the miner, "view details", and look at the "Profit switching" tab, the status updates there show "Claymore's dual ethereum miner 11.9" and not the user defined "bitmain cgminer API" that is "CgMiner compatible" managed software i defined.

Any suggestions on getting this to work or pointers on how to provide more detail for troubleshooting?

Thanks,

-j

If a pool is indicated as "Dead", it's considered Dead by the ASIC miner. Awesome Miner is simply displaying the pool connection status as reported by the Antminer, and Awesome Miner isn't related to this connection. The first pool is sometimes listed incorrectly with some GPU mining software on development version 5.3.5. I'm working on a correction for this right now.

Update: Development version 5.3.6 is now available. For those running into this pool issue, please upgrade to the latest version. Thanks!

THX  soo fix bug.

I've worked out the quick fix solution, the change of pool names and protocols, and now if it's correct, it happened continuously, or you notice or you do not notice. Now it's perfect

I still have the other problem, 0 0 0 0 0 using t-rex in some rigs, I have gone to the system and restarted the monitoring and it remains the same, I do not know if it will be another option.
Thanks for the update. When selecting this miner and looking at the System tab at the bottom of the screen, is it no GPU's showing or GPU's with 0 C in temperature?

https://www.dropbox.com/s/0ti1k0crnxf3svk/Captura%20de%20pantalla%202018-07-30%20a%20las%2023.07.04.png?dl=0

In the main panel where we always look, you see 0 0 0 0 0, but below in the System tab you can see the temperatures perfectly.
On the GPU tab for this miner, isn't the "Map to system monitoring" enabled or working? Is the temperature still 0 for all GPU's in the list?
2451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 10000 miners on: July 31, 2018, 01:43:19 PM
Hi Patrike,

since one of the last developer versions in the pool tab AM shows every Algo with Pool, instead of just the one Pool which is just running. This is really annoying, because so you cant use the "Detect Pool URL" rule.

I want to do some things whenever the miner is running in a specific pool. It worked until now. Now he finds the given rule in every mined coin, because it have allways all Algos and Pools. See the image for better understanding. Hard to describe Smiley

If it is not possible anymore, maybe you can add to the rule something like: "Trigger if the first pool URL contains the specified string". And "Trigger if the first pool URL does not contains the specified string."

Even in previous versions, this behavior wasn't consistent across all mining software. Some returned the complete list while other returned only the pools actually being used. The latest development versions had a redesign around this that also made the behavior consistent. Now I can more easily change this behavior for all software if needed, and I'm open to setting the behavior to only return the active pool for the mining software that only supports a single pool.

You will always have some mining software (sgminer, Claymore and a few more) that do understand the concept of multiple pools.

Which mining software is it that you are running in your example?
2452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 10000 miners on: July 31, 2018, 01:38:20 PM
- WhatToMine custom URL's can point to sources with multiple coins

this point of the update I do not get to understand well, I could put an example or an explanation, I do not know how to point to several currencies in WTM.

Maybe it's more than one call per line?
This feature was intended for users developing their own WhatToMine compatible JSON data, and don't want to add each coin as a separate URL. With the new version you can point to JSON links providing many coins in a single file, similar to https://whattomine.com/coins.json (this one is just an example, no need to add it as Awesome Miner already uses it).
2453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 10000 miners on: July 30, 2018, 08:23:00 PM
What madness is happening ... Another update for failures in the control of the miners, say one thing undermine another.
But now I'm having problems with Aftherburner server. Everything was fine, but due to one of these updates does not work.

A user in this forum already told me that the only way is to change the name of the folder where the Aftherburber Server is, change the rule that starts it and change the folder in the AW configuration. I have only 5 platforms, but whoever has more is a terrible mess.

Every so often the aftherburner server stops working (every 2 or 3 weeks, usually after the update) and I have to change everything in all the rigs again.

I hope that over time Patrike will develop a tool to control OC, because today I have several Rigs turned off due to overheating, thank goodness I have rules set to stop the equipment and not break. But it does not seem right that every few days I have to change the folder in AW, in each rig, the task scheduler to start it etc ...

Crazy this sometimes, the supposed time that is saved in AW, is spent on its maintenance over and over again.

Please favor a more stable solution to control the OC without relying on external programs that fail.
I understand your point here. The reason why Awesome Miner doesn't have built-in support to do overclocking without external applications is not about that I don't want the feature - I also agree that it would be great. The reason why it's not yet supported is simply that the implementation time for it would be very significant, affecting a lot of the other development that is going on. For this reason it's only on the roadmap for the future, and not in the short term plans.

I do know that some users prefers running nvidiainspector via the Start/Stop mining command line in Awesome Miner. If it would be considered to be of any use to support this tool as well, I'm open for integrating it better with Awesome Miner.

Awesome Miner 5.3.6 / 5.3.7 bug report.

Mining in Profit Switching Mode / Managed Mode.

ccminer 2.3

keccakc -- 2 or less cards -- miner reported as online.

keccakc -- 3 cards -- miner reported as off-line once shares start to get submitted.

This is the only algorithm that has this problem at this time that I have detected.

UPDATE:  Installed Awesome Miner 5.3.3 on the same system with a new config -- Issue above can not be reproduced with this version so a bug has been introduced into Awesome Miner 5.3.6 / 7.
I think I managed to reproduce the issue. I included a correction in development version 5.3.8 that just was made available. Thanks for reporting about it.

Can you create a way to track/add other mining income to the dashboard - for example, income from master nodes? Maybe just a section to add other income and then allows us to enter the name description and daily earnings?
The dashboard doesn't offer this flexibility today, but in the future the plan is to provide more fleixbility and scripting for what the dashboard should include.

1) Ethash is actually listed as "Ethereum" in Awesome Miner. It's not fully correct today, but at least it's there.

Patrike,

i wasn't talking about ETH or Ethash to be available within Awesomeminer at a later point, but
when choosing an algo for external miners. There is no option for ETH, Ethash, whatever.

Just try it out: New Miner => External Miner => algo to choose => No ETH/Ethash available, must choose undefined/multi-algo

That's what i mean. Can you check please into this issue and add ETH/Ethash as an algo option for external miners please.
Thanks for the clarification. If you don't see Ethereum in the list below (see screenshot based on the drop down you described), please go to the Options dialog, Algorithm section to make sure Ethereum is enabled.

Patrike,

Feature request - MRR (MiningRigRentals) integration so that rig(s) can be rented out.

- Mines the most profitable coin according to selected pools api and profit selection used until rented out.

- Manages rig availability on MiningRigRentals while algo switching on other pools.

- Manage MiningRigRentals pricing with MRR Minimum Limit and % Increase from algo switching pools estimate or MRR suggested pricing.

- Make all of your MiningRigRentals rigs available at once to increase odds of being rented and automatically disable / lock software (Awesome Miner) when rented.

- Allow for price setting so that the rig(s) are not rented out too cheaply.

- Rigs will auto switch to MRR once contracted and mine for the duration for the rentee.

- Option to accept a rental request on MiningRigRentals.

Thoughts ?

I'd like to see this feature added if possible.

Thanks in advance.

(Awesome Miner has developed so much in the last year, well done Patrike, good job)
Thanks for the feedback.

In the past Awesome Miner had a small integration with MRR where it was able to show the profitability of a miner in a similar way as when you are mining on Nicehash. That's however not supported anymore due to some changes at the MRR side in the past.

Although I see your points and agree that it would be nice with many of these features, it's like @trucobit point out also quite some implementation. Even if it's nice if Awesome Miner would be able to provide a complete solution to mining, it's always a matter of priorities and features like this will have lower priorities compared to some other more frequently requested features. Especially given the amount of work required to get the above implemented.

Maybe these points are good requirements for a separate tool, that could integrate with Awesome Miner? There are already a number of talented developers that write their own scripts and tools to extend the functonality of Awesome Miner.
