2441  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Losses in trading are nothing but Business expenses on: January 06, 2022, 03:14:58 PM
New traders always try to eliminate losses and see losses as something bad. My breakthrough in trading came when I started seeing losses as expenses (business expenses). Trading is a business and you should see it that way.

When I follow my strategy and I lose, I see it a the price I have to pay to get it right, because there is no 100% strategy and since I don't know which trade would be a winner or loser, I detach myself from every trade and execute my strategy flawlessly regardly of the outcome.

Great analogy, that's the easiest way to explain that. However, trading is not everyone's business, I mean, not everyone who tried trading gain something positive from it. Other people who lose a lot of money in trading gained nothing but discouragement and frustration. Those who lose a lot of money in trading and never quit are the winners, because they are doing everything to learn something from it with their positive mind that they can do it.
2442  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Worst exchange you experience for trading on: January 06, 2022, 01:17:54 PM

Yobit, This is the shit exchange ever I have used. Just forget my password and username. So I tried to contact at there support, But they did not provide my details because they think it's not me(real user). But I have emailed them with my personal Email address(that I have used to create an account)
Still, I have some funds there, But cant able log in.
No keys, no coin.
If they want, I can get access to my account but they did not want it.

Forgetting your password and username is easy, why not just reset it using your email that you've used on your account in Yobit, no need to contact their support on such matter unless your also forgot what email did you use on that. Nonetheless, my only issue about Yobit is that they have a very bad reputation because of scams, and their platform is always lagging for some reason, that's why I don't use their platform anymore.

2443  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leverage Trading on: January 06, 2022, 12:32:18 PM
Hello,
is there any difference between a trade with 5.000$ with 1x leverage and on the other hand 100$ with 50x leverage?
The only difference I see is the liquidation price of course. But is there any other differnce?
Thank you all, Frank

The $5,000 trade with 1x leverage is the slowly but surely trade, usually this kind of trade is for long term, while the $100 with 50x leverage is the high risk high reward trade, it is not recommended but if you love thrills and easy money and easy losing of your money, it is the best trading approach you should do. In short, the first one is for patient people while the last one is for impatient people.
2444  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sites to play poker game on: January 05, 2022, 01:36:26 PM
Hello bitcointalk am a new member here which site can you recommend for best poker games?
https://swcpoker.club/
Betcoin.ag
Fortunejack

I have seen so many posts regarding Fortunejack as well. In this forum, there are numerous posts about them already and most of the time they are being suggested by the players because of their good services. I haven't tried it yet so I can't speak about it myself, but you can look up other threads regarding gambling sites suggestions in general and you will find the reviews about them.

I think they also have some minor issues here in the forum, but the customer representative of them is always keen to answer the concerns. Though I'm not quite sure if everything posted has been resolved already. Since as we all know, every casino or sportsbook have their fair share of shortcomings, it's just up to them how they will handle it afterward.

I suggest you look up everything they have suggested to you online and here in the forum to check whether it is really worth the risk or not. Check the interface, processes such as the deposit and withdrawal, the fees, and the reviews about it so that you could easily decide on whether to enter and play in it or not and if it suits your taste as well. Remember, doing your own research is one of the most effective things someone could do to verify if something is worthwhile.
2445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best gambling site in 2021 on: January 05, 2022, 12:41:32 PM
It is indeed a personal choice of players, and then we don't know how many players participated in the poll. Then you will still get a result that is not entirely correct and possibly also a distorted picture. You could make a list of functions on a site, and then judge based on that who scores the highest. Most sites that are popular are included in the forum. For example, maybe a lot of people value giving away free rolls or freerolls in poker just to name a few.

I can't agree more. The poll will be based on of course the personal experience of the players and they would most likely choose and vote for the gambling site that they use frequently. As someone who is used to gambling, for sure he will vote and recommend the gambling site that he had no issues experienced with because after all, convenience and greatness is one of the things looked after service. This is just a survey without a background study which could really paint different and varying results which other parties might agree or disagree with. I think one of the ways to have it unbiased and perfectly executed is to have a study on it with a controlled population that could as as the respondents and analyzing and checking every reasons why they voted for it. But that would be too much work for any os uf, hence I believe no one would really exert effort for it. Though this survey would be one of the ways but not really totally accurate.

If any of you here wants to know which is the best among the rest, I suggest to look up over it in the internet and check the interface, environment, and reviews. That way you could choose what is the best one for you and what would suits your preferences well in terms of processes, games, and prizes.
2446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Could Gambling Legalization be a positive thing for Brazil? on: January 05, 2022, 12:11:12 PM
It could be a positive thing or a negative thing depending on how the government officials would implement and handle the legalization of gambling in their country. The constituents' discipline also plays a great role in the path their country has to take once the gambling industry is already legalized. There are advantages and disadvantages when it comes to the talk of gambling legalization. The boosting of the economy because of tax revenue that will be added once gambling will be legalized is a big thing to the economic growth of a country. The job opportunities will increase once gambling will be allowed resulting in a higher rate of employment that could be of great help to the citizens and to the economy as well because of tax once again. These are just the common positive effect of gambling, however, it could have some negative effects and disadvantages too. One of the leading possible disadvantages and negative effects of gambling in a country is having its citizens be obsessed and addicted to it that could compromise their health and overall well-being. This mental health problem could result in chains of issues such as developing financial problems that could lead to doing illegal activities.

The way Brazil's government will take action for gambling legalization would be the answer on whether what will be the impact of gambling to their country. I just hope that their government will thoroughly think, plan, and organize before the actual implementation and permission of any gambling activities so that they won't have any problem in the future. Or if ever there would be any, they could resolve it in a snap.
2447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big Wins of 2021 ($550,000+) on: January 05, 2022, 11:39:14 AM
About a month ago I made a post about how I won $550,000 in one month with sports betting. I thought I'd share some betslips from 2021 which will hopefully inspire some of you. I do a lot of parlays and would love to see some of your big wins as well!

Website: Stake.com
Telegram: mGpicks

This is such a huge winning for just a short span of time. I bet you have a huge amount of money in your bankroll as well because I think small-time bets won't really accumulate to such a hefty amount. I would like to congratulate you on your big win. This definitely made your 2021 a whole lot better, if I guess it right. But I would also like to remind you to be mindful of these kinds of posts as it could trigger anyone on the Internet to try to gamble just to win big rewards like you. Although the thing is, not everyone has the capacity to win big because the chances of winning still rely on someone's ability, strategy, skills, and luck which not every one of us has the same level of. So I suggest putting a disclaimer either on the introduction or end part of your post because as much as this is made to inspire, motivate, and let someone's day brighten, there are also possible negative effects to some.

Still, cheers on your winnings and may this year be more prosperous to all of us.
2448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: P2P gambling games - survey from creators on: January 05, 2022, 11:03:50 AM
That is the question, we are wondering if the market needs it and if so, what other games could you offer?
Would you take part in the testnet?

It's really necessary to do it on actual and see if people will be able to attract. That's the challenge, how to lure users on your platform. Stage testing from Alpha, Beta, and so on while collecting feedback and thinking of working around the developments.

As for testnet, surely there will be lots of users who might take part*. Just give all the information.

Goodluck!

You're absolutely right. It's really required to test it and then check if it will entice people on playing it or they would rather have a different theme and environment because we have different tastes. So it's really better if you will test the waters first before diving into it completely. I think one of the things you could do to get people to be interested in your crafts and platform is to advertise, do testings to let them play for free at first, and give free bonuses. These things should be aligned in your roadmap though so that you could give the players the assurance that they need.

If you are worried about the tests stage of your game, I'm sure that there will be many players who would be glad to participate because after all, the timing in entering the NFTs is of importance. Just make sure that you won't abandon them because there are some developers that just suddenly vanish on thin air the moment their game skyrockets or dumps.

2449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best crypto sportsbook for 2021 on: January 05, 2022, 10:30:52 AM
When we are talking about the best sportsbook of course I will choose the one that I often used.

You named all reputable sportsbooks and I guess it will depend upon your experience upon using them and then conclude which is the best one. If I use all of them maybe I can give my conclusion which is the best one. This is not a coincidence that I promoting them and wearing their signature but I'm an FJ user since then and I didn't look for another one which means I'm satisfied using this sportsbook.

For me, FJ is the best one.
I'm not recommending them, it's based on my experience as a satisfied bettor.

I agree with you. If someone would ask what sportsbook is nice and is considered to be one of the best or the best, I would also say and recommend the one that I use the most and the one that I patronize. Because of course, that sportsbook has been your go-to ever since and you can vouch for them because you have experienced and enjoyed most or all of their products and services offered.

We have various stances regarding this topic of who among of the listed sportsbooks is the best among the rest, and this is mainly due to having different encounters with them. Some might say that this certain sportsbook is really awful because they have delayed withdrawal process, while some might say otherwise because they haven't encountered that kind of issue during their times of playing on that specific casino. So, I guess this would really depend on our experience would them and of course the collective tally.
2450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport's betting experience on: January 05, 2022, 10:00:23 AM
so bet your own risk.
Of course, everyone knows that, gambling is risky.

What is certain is that everyone has good and bad experiences in soccer betting, it all depends on how they make bets there are direct low odds, but they make a bet 10x the betting odds for example: 2.71 : 3.39 : 2.47 this is the initial bet if one soccer team is weak.

That's my experience, as I said above, I bet depending on the team, I mean the opposing team is weak, but if the second team is strong I don't place a bet in the first half, I will place in the last bank at 70-80 minutes, the odds for me are quite promising and the bet goes up from the beginning to 40.60x10.

Eg: English league today Chelsea vs. Liverpool, of course I will bet at the last minute and if the opposing team like Leeds United vs. Burnley I will double the bet for one of them 10x the original bet.

Betting is a risk, so anyone should really do it just based on their risk appetite. We all have varying risk tolerance which explains why some win big and win small, while some win small or lose small. It just depends on how much you are willing to shed for a sports bet.

In sports betting, the chances of you as a gambler winning a bet is in the hands of the player, so you must know how to distinguish which team is strong and which team is weak. By knowing which of the teams have the higher edge of getting the goal will give you a better opportunity to win your bet. So, in this case, you must know first the backgrounds of the teams playing, most specifically their history and track records. Although sometimes there is also a sudden and quick turn of events despite being certain on the first half that the team you bet on is going to win. I think it's a mix of luck and skills of the players and the twists of events that could get you your bag of money.
2451  Economy / Economics / Re: LEGO Sets Are Better Investments than Stocks, Bonds or Even Gold on: January 04, 2022, 02:19:58 PM
This is a subjective matter. This won't apply to everyone because we have different tolerance to risks and we have different appetites as well. What seems good to you might not be good to others, and vice-versa. Stocks, bonds, golds, crypto, real estate, lego, and other valuable objects can be a good investment. It just depends on someone what among those will he pick and how he would hold it to preserve its value or even go beyond its value during selling time.

We are all different and we want different things too. We prioritize to buy mostly what we want right after what we need. Hence, investing in lego could be a good idea because for others because for them it holds a great price and it could be suitable for all ages, may you be a child, teenager, or adult. Another reason is that they could really be fond of seeing, playing, and collecting it too. Although to some it might appear to be useless or worthless because they don't like it and they don't see the need for it will arise in the future given the production and manufacture. So basically, it just depends on how you will choose to view and appreciate it.
2452  Economy / Economics / Re: If the government loses control of the financial system, we have a fall back on: January 04, 2022, 01:18:15 PM
It's really not advisable to just depend on what the government can offer the citizens because oftentimes, the government is the one who keeps on disappointing and making irresponsible and bad decisions on the behalf of their constituents. Hence, relying on them and trusting them big time is not a good idea. There are even times that the government abandons the whole country just for their own sake. That's why I suggest working smart and having a backup plan just in case things go wrong and the government can do nothing about it, then you have less to worry about.

With this being said, having to invest in bitcoin and crypto, in general, is a good thing because, in case of an economic decline, we'll have our funds slightly unaffected by the sudden transition and change. We can easily bounce back and move forward with the help of our safe haven if ever something bad happens. Not totally the same scenario, but almost, which is happening today that we are still in the middle of a pandemic. When the government seemed helpless as well due to the chains of problems arising and having little funds to sustain the needs of the citizens, we, who have crypto managed to survive little by little.

I just hope that this won't happen anytime soon because of course, not all of us have the same privilege. There are also people who are unaware of crypto and they would surely be helpless if ever this happens, which I really hope won't occur.
2453  Economy / Economics / Re: New Year - The crypto economics on: January 04, 2022, 12:13:06 PM
Happy new year to all of us. (Asian region passed the timeline). I’m still on forum and that makes me think how addicted I am to crypto currencies and bitcointalk forum. Lolz. I can hear the fire crackers outside with happy moments situation.

Well, the reason for this topic is new year and how is our outlook of it for the financial side. I’m very obsessed with 2021 and how it turned everything upside down for the financial part of my life.

I have learnt great amount of deal coming 2021 in regards with how I invest and earn my money. The balance of your income sources is way important than your expenses and investment. In 2022, I have very importnst goal to achieve and that is to add another income sources into my existing list. This could be either e-commerce based on crypto currency payment availability. This is just to cherish the new year with crypto as well as my personal income source outlook.

I wanna know how you guys gonna react to your own “personal economic world”.  Tongue

Foremost, I would also like to greet everyone with a happy new year again. It's so good to be in this forum with a new perspective and plans in mind.

It's nice that you have learned many things last year that made you evaluate and rethink your life decisions most specifically the financial aspects of your life. It's really true that it is better to have more and numerous streams of income rather than relying on just one because the more in-flow of the money goes to you, the more you can earn, save, and allot it to other things that you need or want. By having multiple sources of money-making ways, you can designate a more generous amount to your necessities and investments. And the more capital you have in an investment, the better since it is a passive way to make money without actually working hard for it.

But of course, still, remember that only invest what you can afford to lose because there is nothing certain in risking. You can either be rewarded and gain something from it or you can lose too. It's a 50/50 scenario and I think what makes it only less risky is by doing your own research first, planning ahead, organizing, and proper implementation. So if you plan to make another investment aside from having multiple hustles, make sure to have in-depth research about it first to avoid regrets later and to make sure that you will have the most out of your funds.

Right now, I plan to reinvest the moment I got my money from my currently existing investment. I'm just waiting for the proper timing and I'm still on the process of organizing my thought and ideas and putting them into concept, which soon later be an action. I don't have a plan to rush things. I want to take it slowly, but surely this time around so I won't repeat the same mistakes I did back then due to lack of knowledge and proper research.

I hope whatever you are planning goes well this year. Rooting for a wonderful year for all of us. Let's keep on doing the things that we love.
2454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People claiming themself satoshi on: January 04, 2022, 11:39:41 AM
There are some people who have claimed themselves as satoshi nakamoto. Craig is one of them. I'm sure all of them are fraud. Just trying to get into the focus, they are nothing but attention seeker. Anyway, can someone give me a complete list of people who have claimed them as satoshi nakamoto?

There are so many personalities that had claimed they are Satoshi Nakamoto way back, but it isn't really ever confirmed that either of them is the real founder of bitcoin. Some of the personalities that are involved in this claiming of identity/pseudonym are Hal Finney, Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto, Nick Szabo, and recently Craig Wright. I don't really think that Satoshi Nakamoto is really one of them because, in the first place, Nakamoto decided to hide behind a pseudonym to keep his identity private. With that, we can conclude that privacy is of importance to Nakamoto. It doesn't really appear to me that he will suddenly showcase himself to the world out of nowhere just to gain some recognition which clearly he doesn't like nor fond of because he hid for a long time already. I don't see any reason for him to tell his real identity and be invaded afterward.

These people who keep on claiming to be Nakamoto only want recognition, praise, and maybe money. Because as we all know, Satoshi is really well-known and by claiming they are him, people will be glorified to be their partner. This scenario could lead to scamming. So, it's really better to not easily believe what you see, read or hear over the internet or news. Always do thorough background checking before spreading data to avoid misinformation.
2455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs more women. on: January 04, 2022, 11:02:24 AM
The world of investing has long been accused of being a male-dominated “old-boys club”. Women in this environment frequently complain that they are frozen out, treated badly or have to work harder than men to make good.

So you would have thought that the 21st century’s developing fetch scene might have leveled the playing field between the sexes. However, evidence suggests the rush to online finance platforms and investments has done nothing to boost equality.

Instead, the digitally driven world of artificial intelligence, Bitcoin and blockchain is as sexually unbalanced as the banking, property and commodity markets industries that preceded it. Tech industries are inherently male-dominated for reasons that include boys being introduced to gadgets at a younger age, leading to just 16% of computer science undergraduates being female.

Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies first became popular in the geekiest parts of the tech and finance industries, both male-dominated. The early word was spread mainly on Reedit and forums for discussing video games.

I don't really think gender is a big deal and must be considered in our community. Gender has nothing to do keep bitcoin on the positive side. Bitcoin won't be able to flourish just because of the ratio of gender. Bitcoin needs people that will invest in it and take it seriously and it isn't really necessary to be more "women" just because men are assumed to be dominating the crypto world. I, myself, am a feminist and I really want to achieve gender equality, but I believe our community isn't really pitting men against women or even discriminating against the latter to say such a thing.

Bitcoin, regardless of who and what you are is going to be there for you when you need it the most and it also needs you to continually maintain its demand that has an impact on its value. Because as we all know, the market is what controls the price value, and position of a coin. The more people and the wider the reach of bitcoin, the better it is for our community. Anyone can invest and benefit from what bitcoin has to offer. This is what I love about bitcoin the most - it doesn't discriminate nor judge you for who you are and what financial status you have. As long as you are eager to learn and you have the resources, no matter small or big your fund is, you are welcome in the community.
2456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin new year on: January 04, 2022, 10:25:10 AM
Happy new calendar year to all the members of this forum, the past year has been a remarkable year in the Bitcoin journey and one of the most remarkable events of the past year's is the adoption of Bitcoin as a legal tender by countries like El Salvador.
The building of the first Bitcoin city and the all-time high price of Bitcoin in 2021, with all this exciting event I wish to say a big congratulations to all of us and a happy new year.

This is quite a late greeting, but happy new year to all of us here! Indeed 2021 has left us so many memories, bad and good altogether which made us who we are today. Last year was such a roller coaster ride that brought us to both sides of the world - up and down. The happiest and challenging phases that occurred were managed to overcome by all of you reading this, that is why I want to congratulate you for surviving such extremes the past year has brought upon us.

There were so many small wins and big wins in our community last year. Most of the things that happened last year made a remarkable and everlasting impact on the betterment of our community and on the expansion of cryptocurrency to other parts of the world. The courageous and bold move of some, the initiative, and the great leap of faith of the few were some of the influences and driving forces as to why there are new investors, members, and countries slowly being open with the idea of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency in general.

I hope this year would be more fruitful for all of us. May we continually survive and be able to bounce back whenever unfortunate events happen because after all, it is inevitable. Let's all leave the stress and heavy burdens on 2021 and move forward with a peach of mind and strength this 2022. It's a victory that you are still here. Let's all celebrate our small wins!
2457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A supermarket in Mexico now allows Bitcoin payments for all their items on: January 04, 2022, 09:48:27 AM
Elektra supermarket in Mexico recently started accepting Bitcoin payments and is encouraging their clients to do so, as they offer a 20% discount when paying with it (until end of the year).

Here's the promo banner (in Spanish):

Now people in Mexico are able to buy groceries, and retail in general using Bitcoin directly.

An interesting thing to consider is that the parent company, Grupo Elektra, has operations in these countries: Mexico, US, Guatemala, Honduras, Peru, Panama, and El Salvador.

source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grupo_Elektra

That means that they already accept Bitcoin directly from at least 2 countries: Mexico, and El Salvador. Some of the other countries in that list could potentially be the next one.

It's a courageous move from this establishment to offer a promotional discount to their shoppers by using bitcoin as their payment option. A 20% discount is a huge discount especially if the buyer has a large total of shopping value. I wonder what were the terms and conditions they have set. Maybe there is some sort of capped and minimum spend for this promotion because if there isn't any, I think they will have losses instead of gains. Considering the amount a person can save by paying with bitcoin, they will shoulder it if it wasn't implemented right. So I suppose they have thought thoroughly and calculated already the possible margin of profit and losses before doing this because the duration of the campaign is also quite long.

This kind of action done by small enterprises and establishments will definitely create a ripple effect just like how it started from El Salvador accepting bitcoin as payment and eventually making it legally as their legal tender. I've read that the transaction fees were really negligible and it was a good thing because they won't have to spend a large amount of money over a processing fee unlike before and in other platforms wherein the transactions fees are high and such a pain in someone's pocket. In addition, by doing the promotional campaign, people would be curious about bitcoin which could make them search about it and use it themselves. I hope there would be more and more countries and businesses that would be open about the idea of giving their customers an option to pay in crypto. This could create a positive effect on their citizens and their economy in general, most especially if done continually.

2459  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: stake.com- Does not have gambling responsibility on: January 01, 2022, 02:53:58 PM
<...>

Gambling addiction is a serious problem that needs to be addressed. It was a good thing that you advised the stake back then to have you self-excluded to avoid further damage on your mental health and overall well-being. Stake should be responsible and should be liable for their actions and lack thereof from what had happened. Because their staff told you you have been permanently banned already, but turns out it didn't happen and you still managed to enter, deposit, and play some games once more, which resulted in losing your money deposited. Actually, both of the parties had their fair shares of fault, hence, the best thing and justifiable thing that could happen between the two of you is to meet halfway. Because the moment you managed to logged in, you should have contacted their customer support and reported to them instead of depositing again.

I just hope next time the casinos would be more keen on their actions most especially if it involve gambling problems because players are the ones suffering from it. Although despite this, I also think that refunding just because you lost is unfair too because if it happens that you managed to deposit, play, and win, I doubt if you would ever surrender your prize and just volunteer to get your money back. Gambling is not a charity after all. It is also a business that needs to profit. Hence, refunding without undergoing the proper process would be a loss to them. Just try to reach them out once more and comply to what they will ask you. And then just meet halfway since both of you have your shortcomings.
2460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling company's responsibility on: January 01, 2022, 02:06:06 PM
Some company give gambling licenses. Curacao company, UK gaming company (UKGC), Danish Gambling Authority etc. Curacao Company licensed some prominent betting sites. Do they monitor after giving license? Now a days a lot of betting sites have  gotten license from Curacao but their support is not up to the mark. Even some betting sites scam with customers. Even this forum we have seen some gambling sites negative review.

Their job is to give licenses to those gambling sites that wants to work legally, now if a certain gambling site would scam their players, it is not Curacao's fault anymore, unless there's an agreement that once a certain gambling site scam someone, or do anything inappropriate, their license would be gone forever and will not get a new one from Curacao.
