261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 01, 2024, 04:09:37 PM
Bayern Munich needs to focus on this competition, seems like the Bundelisga is going to the Leverkusen hands (until Leverkusen dont do a Borusia Dortmund clasic finish), so they need to win this key against Lazio, setled down and think and prepare the quarterfinals in a very serious way.
I don't think Bayern Munich can win the CL this season, the team just hasn't clicked under Tuchel and that is why the club is parting ways with him at the end of the season. From the looks of things, this might be a trophyless season for Bayern Munich, something that has not happened in a very long time. Having said that, Lazio have the lead in this tie going into the second leg, and despite the fact that the second leg is a home game for Bayern, i still consider Lazio favorites to qualify at this time, they know what they have to do in this second leg and if they execute it perfectly, they'll be the team to progress to the QF.

Victor Osimehn said he loves to be play for Chelsea if he wants to play in the EPL. However, Mikel Obo has supported the motion that he would propel him to go there so that he can be a start in Chelsea. Pairing with the likes of Cole Palmer and Sterling. Chelsea will be so great that they may win so many competitions together.
Chelsea have signed quite a lot of players in the last 2-3 transfer windows, spending huge sums of money on players like Caicedo, Enzo, Mudryk, etc, thus signing Victor Osimhen might not solve their current problems. Signing quality players does not guarantee success, but it is one of the steps to it, the club must also have a good manager and structure, which Chelsea is currently lacking. I think Chelsea's problems stem from their hierarchy and recruitment process, if they fail to sort that out, they would be unable to achieve the success that their fans crave so much.

It would indeed be extraordinary if City could repeat last season's achievements. the first leg against Copenhagen was in their favor. and the second leg they will still be favorites to win.
If you meant winning the treble again, then yes it would be unbelievable. City won their first CL title last season and made it even more special by winning the treble, but to do that all over again this season, something that has never been done, then that would be an unprecedented feat. Pep's men already have one foot in the CL QF, and they are still alive in both the EPL and the FA cup, so yes, anything can happen and if it does, it would cement Pep's and his players' legacies in football's history.

If you dey find alternatives, na to go do your peer to peer trade on other centralized exchanges, wetin dey funny me be say our government no clampdown on centralized exchanges, dem just target only Binance because it is the one that is mostly used by Naija people. DYOR, and you go find other exchanges, and dem dey all operate in a similar way; or better still, you fit just move to peer to peer exchanges, and e go better sev, because you no gats do any KYC and na you go control your coins as you dey trade.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the Season of Airdrops? on: February 29, 2024, 09:09:05 PM
Airdrops are not as profitable as you make it seem, yeah some airdrops can make people money, but most of them turn out to either be worthless or a scam. Maybe because of the bull run, a few more airdrops would become profitable, but i would not still call this the season of airdrops. Having said that, i am not really interested in airdrops, BTC price is pumping and altcoins are likewise following it behind with little movements, thus i buy only Bitcoin because i know it has an actual utility and it is going to outperform most alts in the long term.

He's facing a tough time ahead, but there's still a chance for him to come back stronger and better. Otherwise, this might be the end of Paul Pogba's football career. After four years, he won't be involved in football anymore. It's sad to think we might lose one of the most talented midfielders.
This is a very sad period for Paul Pogba and those who are close to him, though he has said today that he is definitely going to appeal the decision in the Court of Arbitration for Sports, and if he wins the appeal he might see his suspension reduced or completely overturned. Having said that, if Pogba fails in his appeal and the ban stands, that is prolly the end of his professional football career, he is already 31 years of age, and i can't imagine the club that would offer him a contract four years from now.

Congratulations to Manchester United as they advance into the next round of the Fa Cup Competition.
Yes, and up next for them is a mouthwatering QF clash against Liverpool at Old Trafford, that is the game to look out for in the next round and one of two all EPL fixtures, with the other one being City v Newcastle at the Etihad.

Having said that, the Carabao cup final was a good show despite it being the trophy of least importance, now i think the FA cup is even going to give us a better show from the QF down to the final. I think we are going to get too big teams in the final; prolly City v Liverpool or City v chelsea or another Manchester derby final like it was last season.

Let me tell you one more thing, might surprise you. Your exchange is working regularly with your government and share all the data so doesn't it make every asset on the Exchange being tracked by government? It's impossible that you never sent any Crypto to exchange. KYC needs to go, it shouldn't exist in 2024.
The difference with stablecoins is that even after you have withdrawn it into your own wallet, it can still be frozen by the issuers, for example if you deposit Bitcoin into an exchange, it can be frozen by the exchange, but once you have withdrawn the coins into your own non-custodial wallet, it cannot be frozen by any entity. Having said that, if you want to avoid centralized exchanges and their compulsory KYC, trade in decentralized exchanges.

There are no guarantees in these matches, but I still expect City to be superior in the match. Manchester United will be struggling but I think Manchester City will win. I expect a quality match in the Manchester derby. I hope it will be an enjoyable match to watch.
The thing about the Manchester Derby is that most times form does not matter, it has happened a lot of times when United were in bad form coming into the derby, but they performed so well in the game and got something from it. City would have to be careful, because right now everyone believes United are struggling and so City should be victorious.

Having said that, City are in the title race, United are definitely not, City know that if they drop points it would be very costly and Arsenal and Liverpool would take advantage, thus City has more motivation to win this game imo, and they would prolly do that.

The word " i promise" have strong power more than you could imagine.
What sort of power, i don't believe in things such as this, but if you do and you think it works for you, then that is fine. You can promise yourself that you are going to achieve X in a specified period of time and still fail to get it, making promises without any action or knowledge on how to get it done is just empty promises that would yield nothing.

Having said that, instead of believing that the word "i promise" has powers and your life can be better if you say it to yourself, work on acquiring useful skills, knowledge and education, these are more important and "powerful" things than "i promise".

From what I've read, Manchester City is willing to sell Kevin De Bruyne who may be living his last months as a player in this team.
I actually do not know where you read this, but City have never affirmed to anything along this lines, Pep confirmed in his press conference that they are happy with De Bruyne and they want him to stay longer at the club.
Kevin De Bruyne, in fact, has been heavily harassed in recent weeks and not even Pep Guardiola knows if he can count on the player,
Harassed? Harassed by who? BTW, KDB just gave 4 assists in their fifth round tie against Luton a few hours ago.
Values.... aware of the Arab club's interest in their athlete, the Manchester City board decided to set a price for their player of no less than €100 million!
Again, what is the source of this information and where have you read that City have put KDB up for sale and even placed an amount on him. Some Saudi clubs might be monitoring him for now, but that is where it ends at this moment in time.
272  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Preventive measures not to lose your btc on: February 27, 2024, 10:56:23 PM
Always make sure that your software is up to date and don't allow your computer to always fail, backup your entire wallet , don't forget your password , secure your Bitcoin wallet with a strong password you should be careful with online services , browse safely, only keep the amount you are willing to forfeit ,talk less about your achievement in Bitcoin.
"Browsing safely" might be hard to achieve, there is no way to determine if they is a malware in the site you are about to visit or if the application you want to download is a phishing one, thus rather than trying to browse safely, move your money to an offline wallet, just buy a hardware wallet and move all your money there.

"Use a strong password" and "don't forget your password" isn't bad advice, but it is your seed phrase that is most important, if you forget your password, you can easily get your wallet back with your seed phrase, but if you lose your seed phrase, you lose your money.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 27, 2024, 10:08:52 PM
Arsenal and Manchester City are there and they won't hold back until they meet up with points against Liverpool.
City just walloped Luton Town in their FA cup fifth round match, that should give them a boost in the EPL, they haven't been flying in the EPL and even if they have not conceded in their last two EPL games, they have only managed to score 2 goals, one in each game. Having said that, this weekend is the Manchester Derby and irrespective of form, it is always a game to look forward to as any team can step up and win it, City ran out comfortable winners in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford, but i reckon this one would be tougher, though i think City would just edge them to the victory.

After United, for City it is: Liverpool, Brighton, Arsenal and Aston Villa, i think these are the games that would define their season and determime if they would be EPL champions for the fourth time on the spin.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Previous ATH achieve before bull? on: February 27, 2024, 04:56:05 PM
Hey all have been hearing some people saying is bull run and some post over here have been saying we are not yet in bull run so I was mean to asked when exactly do we expect bull run if now is not yet the period. Then lastly does it mean we must achieved the previous ATH before we can say we have entered main bull run, since lots of people keeps saying bull run already started.
Bitcoin price does not have to get to its previous ATH before you believe we are in a bull run for the present/current cycle, mind you that the Bitcoin bull run started a long time ago, and the price will continue to rise until it surpasses the previous ATH and reaches its full value for this current cycle, that is when the price will gradually start falling until we welcome the bear season.

Having said that, altcoins mostly move with the price of Bitcoin, so as Bitcoin price is rising now, they have also started rising and if Bitcoin price falls, their price also falls.

Thank you for this post bitmover, i am also impressed with the progress of our local board and i am pretty sure this progress would continue. I know posts per month only counts when most of the posts are quality posts, but i am also happy with the number of quality posts users make in this forum, and kudos to users who report chronic shitposters in this board. Having said that, i think the next thing that's needed in this board is another Nigerian board merit source to give out merits to the quality posters in the board and encourage them to continue visiting here.

My question na goes to, do you believe this set of bitcoin developers don't know who Satoshi be? Em d somehow that none of the core developers of bitcoin no know who Satoshi be. All of them can't accept to work or develop bitcoin for Satoshi without reaching out to him in one way or the other.
Satoshi na person wey dey take privacy very seriously, so he made sure not to lose it before he disappeared from the community. Of course Satoshi go don communicate with some of the developers wey help am wella, but him go fit do that without losing him privacy na, even the admin of this forum fit read Satoshi PM's wey him been send when he was a user here, but you cannot use any of that to determine who the creator of Bitcoin be. If person bring interesting proposal to you through the internet, but the person no wan tell you about their identity, if you like the project, nothing concern you with their identity, you go just lend your own support.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 26, 2024, 07:38:24 PM
After making sure Mbappe leaves, PSG is obliged to find a replacement. The coach must start making the players independent of Mbappe from now on. In addition, they also have to buy several new players to patch Mbappe's departure. The latest options I read PSG want Osimhen, Joshua Kimmich, and Leny Yoro. They want to make a big change with those players. But it is not easy, because many other clubs are also eyeing the services of the three players.
PSG didn't make sure Mbappe left the club, as a matter of fact they are disappointed that he is leaving the the club for free after they have invested so much money in him. They were actually warned to sell the Frenchman when they had the chance and they could have made a huge amount of money from the deal, but they hesitated and convinced him to sign a new contract, but all that has backfired right now.

Having said that, i do not know if PSG are actually looking for big name replacements for Mbappe, the club had said at the beginning of the season that they were going to change their pattern of recruitment, from signing big name players to instead signing mostly homegrown talents and building a team with them, we'd see how well they stick to this and what they do in the summer transfer window.
278  Economy / Economics / Re: Backing Fiat with Bitcoin...A possibility? on: February 26, 2024, 04:52:41 PM
Today Bitcoin price is mostly represented in the U.S Dollar and the currencies of other countries. Bitcoin is also decentralized, has a fixed supply and is quite volatile, and these qualities does not make it suitable for fiat to be backed by it.

I don't think it is possible for fiat currencies to be backed by Bitcoin, just with the number of Bitcoins in circulation now, and also the number when all Bitcoins have been mined, it won't still be possible for their fiat currency to be backed 1:1 with Bitcoin, the government would also not want to lose their "ability" of printing money out of thin air.
279  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who buys Bitcoin at $500k on: February 26, 2024, 03:34:03 PM
My question is who buys Bitcoin at that price..?
Anybody who wants to buy, people can buy Bitcoin whenever they want to. Bitcoin price right now is above $52,000, some people are actually thinking it is too high to get in now, whilst others are buying, this would be the same scenario when it goes as high as $500,000, some people would refuse to buy because they think it cannot rise far more than that, until they witness it get to $1m.

Having said that, both $500,000 or $1m is very far from now, Bitcoin price is not going to rise as high as this in a short period of time, it will take many years, coupled with a few more halvings, other events, and more demand.
280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 26, 2024, 08:07:07 AM
Jurgen Klopp must be wary of Man City because they always play consistently before the season ends and we can see how they were able to catch Arsenal in points in the previous season even though the distance was not close. This must be taken seriously because if Liverpool is careless, Man City will top the standings and Liverpool will compete much more fiercely.
I think everyone knows how good City can be in title run-ins, we have seen it happen time and time again and Jurgen Klopp knows firsthand what it is like, because City have pipped him to the title on a number of occasions, but this season looks somewhat different; City are not playing in that menacing way we have come to know them for. City's last two games against Brentford and Bournemouth respectively were tougher than anybody thought they were going to be, whilst the other title contenders (Liverpool and Arsenal), have been flying of late and scoring goals for fun, Pep knows they must improve, if not either Liverpool or Arsenal will take the title from them.
