As a trader I aint touching this game, imho its all going to end badly (well except for the dev).

Yeah we should all trust an anon dev on the internet holding 100's of millions of dollars worth of coinage  Roll Eyes
2623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of Stake Investment - NVC/HBN/PHS/TEK/and more on: March 03, 2014, 11:07:09 PM
Big fan of POS myself. Prefer ones with decent POS rewards (rather then just token POS as a security measure), BCX being my favorite pick as decent reward and active dev with a unique plan for the coin ie could get interesting  Grin

As a trader I am happy, half the equation is buy low  Wink

Though on the negative side I think the market is over saturated with 100s of coins all filling the same niche. Too many coins, too many premine pump n dump scams run in a row.

If people stop buying the pump n dump scamcoins for quick profits and went after more established coins the overall market conditions would be better.

Last time we had this point a few articles in the press boosted the market, but again we've hit saturation point where not enough new monies coming in....what will turn it around this time?

2626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Alt coin to invest in 2014 on: March 01, 2014, 01:14:36 AM
NXT and Nem. I think Doge has a future due to the community.

NXT is a few months old and the value has risen a lot, so I would really recommend Nem, when it's launched and only a few days old.

I keep promoting it.

Isn't NXT's supply very closely controlled by the 70 or so initial investors who put out very little supply to the market thus keeping price in check? I know NXT is trying hard to build a new platform but what does it matter if no one shows up at the party?

NXT distribution from the 73 investors is A LOT better than the distribution of Bitcoin's/Litecoins between the top accounts and the rest up to the present.

how so?

2629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is how POS IPO's should be done. on: February 26, 2014, 09:04:20 AM
FB idea is horrible way to distribute;

1) many countries fb isn't popular or even banned.

2) easy to have many fake accounts.

3) fb gets wind of it could even have your account suspended.

1. It's massively popular in all the major Bitcoin areas of the world including China and Russia. If your on Bitcoin sites you are gonna have FB probably. Yeah it's banned in some but then again it's a tiny minority and they would be using Tor or something similar of they are into bitcoin.

2. Yes it's possible but the giveaway excluded newbie accounts. Plus fake accounts are pretty easy to detect. Average person doesn't have a ton of FB sock puppet accounts.

3. Oh so you're scared of the man. Oh no FB suspended, maybe you better stay out of crypto when it gets illegal and your hunted down by the FBI and IRS. That day could come you probably already have transactions on the Blockchain under your IP address,  running scared isn't a strategy.

Seems like people are trying to find something to be negative about for no good reason.

1. do your research on China lol

2. only need 1 person with 100 fb and big stab of the distributions in 1 hand. many have 100's if not 1000's of accounts, and if it became a regular thing many more people here would signup multiple accounts.

3. not at all I don't have a fb account, nor do many people I know have one. no fbi or irs in my country. so have you ever looked at the world outside the USA  Roll Eyes

2631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine Coin | Rare | Mining Transaction Fee Proof of Concept on: February 26, 2014, 03:07:41 AM
Dev, since you were the guy who gave all the PMC away.... what was the biggest bounty/gift that went out?  15k is the largest i know about for that faucet... This person with 30k must have been quietly buying them all up over the last few weeks... Good for them... free market and all..

distribution via a faucet is pretty dumb, easily scammed.
2632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DGC] DigitalCoin | Secure. Established. Active Development | Only 9% Mined on: February 26, 2014, 01:10:27 AM
admittedly the jokes come along way, but any exchange that lists doge instantly losses alot of cred in many eye's.

Who said anything about listing doge?

nobody

I thought I first saw it there when I first looked, may have been mistaken.

Yes please if you want this to be successful don't add 100's of crapcoins (or any).

Whats missing is a decent exchange that has enough coins to make a decent trading platform, but isn't flooded with crapcoins for dumping.
2633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should IPOs be banned from the site? Poll on: February 25, 2014, 09:34:33 PM
Of course we may ban them. Why not we all go to North Korea and be totally protected from scams?! Who cares about freedom, freedom is bad, it's scary and there are scams u know...

why can't everyone have the freedom to post wallet stealers? damn restrictions, we want freedom, freedom  Roll Eyes

ATTN:  WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT WALLET ADDRESSES ON FB.

well not much "freedom" in that then, what about the countries that don't use fb (it's pretty much a north american thing)?

2636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Building Pump & Dump Group on: February 23, 2014, 01:45:13 AM
My job as the creator will be to make sure everybody in the group makes money from the pump and dump.

Well that aint going to happen for a start, because their is a few of us with alot more capital then your group that dump on every pumping groups pump, tis why any pump group that says its successful is full of it.

and a few others that offer some level of innovation

though I do agree with much of what you say on this forum, innovation is the most overrated feature on any coin. Joe Public doesn't relate at all to most of the 'innovation' that gets this very niche crowd interested.

Give me a marketable clone of btc/ltc anyday over an overrated, over complex 'innovative' new coin.

2640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Debunking WorldCoin scam accusations one by one on: February 20, 2014, 10:41:21 PM
The following writing is written by nick JamesBond on worldcoinforum.

Accusation # 1: Coin is premined

BitCoin is also premined. They claim Satoshi Nakamoto has 1 000 000 BTC mined - nobody scream BTC is a scam coin because of this.

hmmm debunking something by spreading a myth about another coin. nobody screams BTC was a scam because the premine are unusable, for test purpose only, so in effect no premine.
