1681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin v. Bitcoin on: January 13, 2015, 01:21:02 AM
seems now litecoin gets trolled from all sides; diehard bitcoin fanbois and a million and one scamcoin pumpers have a common percieved enemy (when this shouldn't be the case, guess its a sign of the get rich quick crowd that dominates this forum).

litecoin has strong fundamentals over bitcoin.

litecoin took the tried and tested from bitcoin and improved on it.

litecoin in my experience has more stable clients and moves way better then bitcoin.

getting bitcoin to wall street had huge hurdles (though it will make it). hard for market regulators to accept bitcoin anon dev (possible with a huge stash) and the amount of bitcoin unaccountable due to theft, illegal activity etc (before we get the ol but USD is used by criminals reply well tis not my argument its what the regulators expressed).

litecoin does not suffer the same mud ie mainly because know dev etc

fundamentally I prefer litecoin over bitcoin and certainly over any alt.

 Wink

litecoin took the tried and tested from bitcoin, few twigs to improve. personally I find the litecoin clients way better to deal with then bitcoin, moving litecoins from exchange to exchange way faster then bitcoin in my experience making it way more user friendly to traders (opportunity cost).

yet has almost the same market useability, almost all exchanges trade litecoin.

trading vol exceeds all other alts combined.

bitcoin has had serious road blocks in its attempt to attract wall street, etf come up against serious issue, though they'd be overcome, strangely enough litecoin has none of these (namely anon dev, billions of usd worth unaccounted for eg satoshis presumed stash, stolen batches etc ie; nightmare for regulators).

crapcoin pumpers may keep their heads in the sands, but the truth is there are valid reasons why litecoin holds and continues consitantly to maintain number 2 spot.

if this site was serious about reducing scams and serious about opensource it would put a stop to self moderator threads?
1684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins News Is Just A Comp Of PR on: January 12, 2015, 11:35:21 PM
Many press releases that have been released have been misleading as is usually the case with profit driven content. It's sad watching the state of Bitcoin startups, considering how many are so utterly dependent upon exaggerating their own true worth while they drive to extract blood from stone.

i wouldn't limit that to startups being misleading, hell bitcoin.org is full of exaggerated information.
1685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead on: January 12, 2015, 12:29:39 AM

If we all don't come together to buy bitcoin and not bullshit alt coins then none of these coins will exist soon  Cry

Not true. Bitcoin is a black hole for your money. There is no sense in buying it as it constantly looses value due to inflation. Litecoin is just worse that's why it even make less sense to buy right now.

We should all stop supporting inflationary currency at least until their inflation is smaller. Inflation doesn't make sense.

Buy bitcoin and litecoin not before year 2020 if you like profit.

not the stupidest post i've read on btt,  but not a hell of a long way off it  Roll Eyes
1686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did the Pirate Ponzi fiasco stunt the growth of Litecoin? on: January 12, 2015, 12:27:22 AM
So It's been about two years and I though now was a good time to revisit this.

Of course in the meantime Litecoin hit the moon and then crashed and burned, but the original premise of this question- especially considering how Litecoin has had so little development for a long time now- I think is still valid.

What do people think 2 years on?

i think the past that far back (in crypto terms) holds little relevance to now, eg mt gox collapse will have little influence over anything bitcoin 2 years from now (except when media beat ups re hash it in future scams and crashes).

I had several coins just lingering in high sell orders since just after the last S3 raffle months ago. Thanks to who ever bought so high!  Cheesy

keep n eye out and you may later say, damn they bought in sooo low  Wink
1688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Is NOT Dead (It Is Just Dying A Slow Death) on: January 10, 2015, 10:47:50 PM
I totally agree with OP, I lobbied for Litecoin when it was the best alt out there (there were only few alts anyway), but at this point with all innovative alts I really don't see the purpose of Litecoin existence anymore, it is just a bad copy of Bitcoin.

I don't even advise my friends to invest in crypto at the moment (I believe in really lower bottom) but in the future if any of my friends would ask about my opinion, I would suggest investing only in Bitcoin and one of the established and most developed Crypto 2.0 coins.

lol innovation, there is no innovative alts, innovations just a term to plug the latest scamcoin.

ltc been 2nd for a long time because it isn't a scam, it will still be second and bounce to new highs soon enough (most been around here long enough know that).

these are meant to be currencies btw how innovative is $USD?

joe publics does even 10 sec of research they'd cross all these so called crypto 2.0  Roll Eyes off the list, if they could even understand them or find them in this pile of crap
1689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FIND] FindCoin | Community Anti-Scam Token | Faucet Distribution on: January 09, 2015, 03:30:27 AM
isn't this coin meant to be anti scam?

yet its been scammed itself during distribution, so any listing of it on an exchange or any continuation of this coin is itself supporting scammers?
1690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A terrible day for cryptos... on: January 04, 2015, 08:57:50 PM
he is delusional nothing special.

funny though anyone been around long enough has seen the same ol cycle before, triggered by manipulation then the sheep stampede for the door, then soon enough a pump cycle to a new high.

etf listing will be the excuse for the pump, dumps just for those to stock up before  Wink

but you guys dribble in this little backwater scamcoin forum section matters not, this sections avoided by most crypto enthusiasts except the scammers and those suckered in believe the next big thing hype cause they perceive they can get rich quick off it.

good luck with ur shitcoin each new one dilutes ur chances....but keep telling yourselves its 2.0. or innovative or anon or whatever flavor of the weeks popular.
1691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A terrible day for cryptos... on: January 04, 2015, 01:42:27 PM
My prediction by the end of 2015;

Bitcoin >$USD4000

Litecoin >$USD200

most other alts staying bottom dwellers

I think that is not possible anymore. Too many "alternatives" are available and lot of BTC bag holders are moving towards crypto to increase their earning. Many are looking at BTC as innovation that was given to us by Satoshi and our job is to make it better by copying its code and add something to it. You can't get glued to BTC. It's job is done. There are many crypto that are 100x better than BTC as far as technology is concerned.

BTC will always be here in our memories.

been around this forum, trading in and out of these shitcoins, and I'm yet to see a single innovative new crypto lol

'innovations' just the term to sell suckers into the latest alt scam.

the more shitcoins the greater the chance ltc will succeed, and become most peoples goto alt.

The choice to use scrypt was also partially to avoid giving advantage to video card (GPU), FPGA and ASIC miners

You can read right ?

And one more thing since you have no idea of economy, so you create a technology which build on the idea to have it hard time to produce blocks with less energy.
BUT THEN you still go to ascis because SCRYPT uses a whole  lot more energy to produce blocks.

The flaw was from the start in the Scrypt idea because they didn't even know it would made it that far. Planing for the future is key in producing these kind of infrastructure.

seriously it was gpu resistant, everyone at that time said gpu mining would killl ltc, it happened and it didn't kill it, made the network more secure, then asics came along and everyone used that bs argument it was created to be asics resistant, and asics would kill it....and it didn't....research history, research charlie lee how when why and where of ltc's creation.....

Either you are doing some epic trolling, in which case I would say congrats for keeping such a straight face. Or you are seriously deluded in which case I suggest you seek help. I am serious, you still can make a huge profit if you invest wisely and not get blinded.

hell I say that about bitcoin and I don't have or intend on acquiring any bitcoin, nor am I a fan of bitcoin, wall street will pump it that there is little doubt..
1694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A terrible day for cryptos... on: January 04, 2015, 01:19:11 PM
The original intended purpose of using scrypt was to allow miners to mine both Bitcoin and Litecoin at the same time.[15] The choice to use scrypt was also partially to avoid giving advantage to video card (GPU), FPGA and ASIC miners over CPU miners.

Due to Litecoin's use of the scrypt algorithm, FPGA and ASIC devices made for mining Litecoin are more complicated to create and more expensive to produce than they are for Bitcoin, which uses SHA-256.[20]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Litecoin

I don't need even look that far...

and nothing you quoted states ltc was made to avoid asics, again because at the time of creation asics wasn't an issue, ltc may have been created to be gpu resistant but it wasn't created to be asics resistant., and any of that was only a side benefit at the time and no major point to its creation.

Keep twisting arguments won't change that you were wrong.

I'm not wrong, litecoin wasn't created to avoid asics, thats a fact.

Aehrm ? Wrong !

Why was scrypt created ? Looks like you are only here for your vacation.

noob do your research not just listen too the dribble of your fellow noobs, asics wasn't even an issue or considered at the time ltc was developed.
1698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A terrible day for cryptos... on: January 04, 2015, 01:00:12 PM
litecoin is very good in bleeding. No idea who actually are the buyers.

atm traders who don't follow the masses and are smart enough to buy low sell high.
1699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A terrible day for cryptos... on: January 04, 2015, 12:59:24 PM
You mean joining the ASCIS race like Bitcoin did ? Yes he did a good choice for his Fiat wallet.

joining? ltc was not made to avoid asics like many noobs mouth on in here about, asics wasn't even an issue at the time.

ltc been one of the fairest launched least scammie coins out of all the alts here, something everyone knows.
1700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A terrible day for cryptos... on: January 04, 2015, 12:52:56 PM
BTC and LTC success shouldn't be based on price vs USD,.

these both are constantly improving in value.

few noobs on the forum saying ltc is dead (mostly to pump their own shitcoin), wont change the fact that ltc have a audience far above the rest of the alts put together.

the orginal dev created something to avoid the mistakes that every failed alt before it had made, did a good job and ltc will continue to succeed.
