2661  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin presently at a resistance hold or break $4100 to $4300 on: October 04, 2017, 05:19:37 AM
According to this chart analysis it is speculated that if bitcoin cannot break this resistance it is likely it will pullback or corrected to $3600 and panicking sellers may pushed it even lower,  but if the present resistance is broken, there is the tendency that bitcoin is going to all time higher record of $5K+
http://cryptopost.com/bitcoin-daily-btc-facing-strong-resistance-september-27-2017/
Analyst contribution is welcomed.

Analysis here and there have succeeded in one thing which is failing to understand that the past is not the sole determination of the future which is why I won't believe it. The price of bitcoin has touched the $4400+ before retreating backwards to what it is now. The option before us is that if it didn't go beyond the $4500+ the reason why it will fall is not going to be correction but rather the upcoming fork.

Also, the upcoming fork is not expected to make too much impact as the kind of scenario is not happening the first time unlike the August 1 saga. So, we won't have retreat down to that $3600.
2662  Economy / Services / Re: How can unblock iphone6s plus icloud on: October 03, 2017, 09:09:34 PM
Anyone can remove icloud id? I will pay in bitcoins. Iphone6s Plus

The moment this becomes possible on a forum like this, that will be the end of Apple and every of their products. I guess you bought or got it via an illegitimate means because without that, I don't see why the owner cannot just grant you access to the icloud. If anyone promises to break it even on the forum, I suggest you insist on escrow because that the only means you can be sure to get your money back in case it didn't go through.

One product you don't joke with is Apple iPhone and iCloud account.
2663  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: XAPO are now allowing people to withdraw their bitcoincash on: October 03, 2017, 07:19:34 PM
I use Xapo and I was happy with the stance they took on the issue of BCH. They made it clear that " we won't rob you of your BCH but we won't run it. Take it out or we convert it for you" and that's gentle man enough if you ask me. I will be going with the option of direct conversion to the balance and just get away with the BCH coin altogether in other to prepare for the next air drop coming in few weeks from now.
2664  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to know the people behind the investment scheme that the real intention was on: October 03, 2017, 03:34:56 PM
Many people today are greedy for money. And do everything to it. And I do not blame them because we really want our lives to make money so we will not get tired of working 5 to 8 hours and give our children a bright future. But with so much greed we can do bad things like schemes to conjure up true and not thieves. But the ultimate goal is to steal. Many really are not punished. Now my question is how can this be solved? How can we identify someone if bitcoins are not centralized and only bitcoins address only what we know. How to stop it. How do we know who is behind the investment that eventually turned thief of our hard-earned money

From the way it seems, its unfortunate that there is nothing we can do about it because people from time immemorial have been scamming others and this will continue into the future even with the advent of technology to stop it, they always find a way to exploit every means to achieve their selfish interest.

However, I wont blame them alone, but the calibre of their victims which majority are ruled by their intention to get large from giving little or nothing at all. While some have been blamed on innocence but its still connected to being greedy. How do one explain almost 50% profit in a space of one month and still expects that the money will come?

The onus is on us to keep ourselves safe from individuals that have sworn to prey on the hardworking guys of their hard earned money.
2665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HELP !!!! Wrong Currency !!!!! on: October 03, 2017, 01:56:42 PM
the transaction should fail because it is not a valid address. dont need to worry. check back later

With this reply of yours, you have definitely saved a soul because in situation like the one OP his, he must have been so ashamed of himself to have to created an account for that purpose. I cant imagine what is going on in him mind now especially if the fund involved is a huge amount.

I actually didnt expect the transaction to go in the first place because they technology should have recognized that its a wrong token meant for something else and if that is not happening, then that is flaw in the design originally.,
2666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin was centralized? on: October 03, 2017, 01:25:17 PM
what do you think would happen to bitcoin economy if someone would actually take in control of it?

If that should happen, then its going to happen now in which its not going to go well because alot of people have come to understand how the whole chain works with several development which have even contested the dominance of bitcoin in terms of anonymity and other factors. It then means if that should happen, it gives way for migration to other platform. One key reason why bitcoin is generally accepted is because of the fact that no one can lay claim on how its distributed unlike Central Banks controlling the flow of money in the economy.

If that key characteristics is taken away, then there is really no need to avoid fiat in the first instance. Lets hope it doesnt get to that.
2667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I did it! Traveling with Bitcoin and $100 only on: October 02, 2017, 03:27:41 PM
My journey started on Sep 21, from Boston to NYC, flight to Egypt then Turkey, back to Boston! Carrying $100 just in case and 3 bitcoins in my wallet!

Fuck If I will ever carry credit card, or cash any more:

1- I used Localbitcoins for cash! Search for best local currency rate!
2- How much I save from credit card fees and Fiat exchanges: $305.
3- Is it save to deal with Localbitcoins in person overseas? Yes, so amazing nice guys, you are making friends Smiley

You should try it! & $100 stayed with me! and I spent less than 1.9 btc in both countries!!!

That is so cool for you to have been able to do that and its much more interesting to share your escapade and how far bitcoin had gone eben beyond places that are popular in the crypto space. It signal to one effect which is, bitcoin is present in most countries of the world.

The journey might be smooth considering where you are a citizen and the proposed country of destination which might not be same for a foreigner entering America. I have seen people going into the states turned back at point of entry because they don't have enough cash to sustain them for the intended stay. Even with several amount as bitcoin which its yet to be recognised, I doubt if its going to be as easy as you had it.
2668  Economy / Services / Re: Need 7000 participants for bounty campaign on: October 02, 2017, 02:00:15 PM
Need 7000 participants for bounty campaign, is this possible?
Give me an advice we need qualified Ico managers.

I want to believe you meant 700 participants and even if its 7000 you need to have serious financial backing for reputable managers to take you serious because for this to be managed effectively, you will need nothing less than 25 managers based on my calculations and getting that will involved the big names, medium names and the upcoming managers.

The bringing together those big wits will mean enough funds in escrow, serious vetting of your proposed project, enough investigations among others. But if its going to be in tokens, it might be less strenuous because some managers would willingly avoid it but be sure not to attract attention with that massive proposal.
2669  Economy / Reputation / Re: Yahoo gave me a unfair feedback because of his mistake on: October 02, 2017, 12:56:03 PM
Hello,

I bought this account more than a year ago and I never applied to bitsler campaign to join but by looking at my quality of post-Yahoo only asked me to join this signature campaign. Please look at this proof - https://imgur.com/a/Hv2t3

Now he is saying my account is connected with someone else. Until now I didn't know these details after my purchase.

I feel what Yahoo has done is unfair and spoil my weekly earnings. If I can get the red tag for purchasing this account then yahoo also unfit for this manager post and should be removed immediately.

If any DT members want to verify personal message I can do that but what he has done is totally unfair. Since there was no feedback on this account saying that it is linked to someone else while purchasing I bought this account basically to earn some money. Now because of his mistake, I lost my account and earnings.

Kindly advise what I can do with it.

Buying of account is highly discouraged and as an active member for over a year, the onus is on you to have rectify the mistake. You could have just privately inform your manager in this case Yahoo even if you didn't know the other person is involved in that same campaign then withdraw from it as well. Unfortunately, its too late for that as there is nothing you can do about it at this time.

Buying of account have several disadvantages and that's exactly the brunt that you have felt at this time. It might be clean at first, but its coming to bite eventually. Work your way to the top rather than trying to cut corners and that's is the way I see buying of accounts.
2670  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Problem with google authenticator in Electrum on: October 02, 2017, 09:32:14 AM
I am sorry to derail the thread but this this is the most recent active thread on this subsection of the forum. My problem is with unverified transaction in which I have tried every means I can lay my hands on by searching through the forum as well as using Google which seems unabated. I use mobile wallet of electrum the apk version (not the one downloaded on playstore) but in recent times I have been having sever lagging behind by several thousands block then all those transactions that have been confirmed, turned to Unverified. Any help would be appreciated.
2671  Other / Meta / Re: Why moderators do nothing with scammers? on: October 01, 2017, 09:38:10 PM
And why do some people have red trust, but after some time it again neutral?

Actually they are doing enough and not even the moderators alone but also some other reputable members of the forum. Its possible to get the account green again if the person can get someone to neutralise it but the onus is on individual to keep him or herself safe on a forum like this.

Most times when scam happens, the victim does not do it the right way. While some are outright stupidity for example someone going into a trade without escrow and with a newbie account others are by high rank member which one can easy fall for.

When there is scam, do it the right way, in the right section when members sees it, they are to act and tag the account especially by DT members the tag will be hard to get rid off unlike normal members of the forum.
2672  Other / Meta / Re: Lauda is hacked??? on: October 01, 2017, 09:24:12 PM
Is Lauda's account hacked? Otherwise, everyone is giving a negative trust to be a trawler. He gave me a negative trust because I wrote a message to sell an account.
I disqualify  for signature campaign.

Everybody's rebelling. Are you going to take this action?

lauda account trust : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=101872

If that is the reason why you think Lauda account is hacked, then you really didn't follow Lauda activities for a while and moreso you didn't read some of the threads opened for that purpose. Lauda has been against account buying and selling and she has been open about it. You won't be the first to have been tagged because of that and won't equally be the last. Just move on because its going to be there for a very long time.

2674  Economy / Services / Re: [Avatar & Personal msg][BountyPortals] Fast Bounty Management & Earn free token on: October 01, 2017, 09:19:39 AM
Hello everyone

Payment will be made very soon.

Also extending this campaign for one more month.

I really don't understand why the manager is so lackadaisical about his function. After several days people have been asking for updates he later came and say this. I doubt if anyone would be willing to  continue with a campaign like this. I guess he should do the grading so anyone can be free to take decision whether to continue or not.
2675  Economy / Economics / Re: Is an economy without physical money safe for the poorest? on: September 30, 2017, 02:14:11 PM
Imagine the situation in which we don't have any physical money and every currency is digitalized. The US dollar is now a token, the Japanese Yen is only in the network and the British pound is a fast-moving digital coin. What are the consequences of such an economy for the poorest of the population? Do you think that a few people can influence the digital wealth of people and wouldn't hackers be the best people to have as friends?

The way it is today, it seems impossible but I can say conveniently its something we are drifting towards whether we like it or not.

Today we talk about cashless policy and the poor does not need to be educated to be involved but they will be forced to align by the educated and the rich people in the society.

For example, all over the world, the rich will employ the poor which means the responsibility of paying the poor falls on the rich who will then simply tell the poor "give me your bank account to pay, its our policy not to pay cash" even though the poor does not want to be in the bank net, by virtue of that, he is forced to comply then  learn to also operate a bank account.

The same thing will happen if we all migrate to a digital currency world and in as much it won't be easy at first, with right enlightenment, publicity and some level of force by government, every one will fall in line whether the rich or the poor.
2676  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: September 30, 2017, 01:32:47 PM
It's most likely another DDOS. It's very cheap to do, and very hard to prevent.
There is a cheap way to prevent it - use CloudFlare (or something similar) like other mixers do.
The problem is that it puts another, non-ChipMixer-controlled machine between ChipMixer and user.
We cannot ensure your privacy this way, so we do not use their service.

Its all good for the explanation and it will be better if there is a notification to that effect on the site when its down for users. I think its because a lot of mixers have gotten into the community and they are trying to gain attention as well and for people who felt its time to discredit ChipMixer for reasons best known to them but little did they forget that the market is big enough for everyone to feature in.

I think you still need to look for something around the cloudfare option and still be able to ensure the privacy of users because when these attack becomes too much, the same client you trying to protect their privacy wouldn't mind using the competitors service despite the cloudfare thing in existence.
2677  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-29] IMF chief tells central bankers: Ignore Bitcoin at your peril on: September 30, 2017, 10:01:22 AM
LONDON — Christine Lagarde, the head of the International Monetary Fund, has a message for the world’s central bankers: Don’t be Luddites.

Addressing a Bank of England conference, Lagarde conceded that digital currencies, such as Bitcoin, don’t currently pose a major threat to the status quo, as they are “too volatile, too risky, too energy-intensive.” Some have also been hacked, she noted.

But in time, she argued Friday, technological innovations could address some of these issues and as such it “may not be wise to dismiss virtual currencies.”

In the future, she said, virtual currencies “might just give existing currencies and monetary policy a run for their money.”

http://www.denverpost.com/2017/09/29/imf-chief-warns-bankers-bitcoin/?preview_id=2805043

After reading the article, I  guess the outcome of what she said was purely because she does not want to be caught unaware and giving the warning is to sit on both sides of the table. Saying on one end about the volatility being a negative side considering the reference she made to the status quo. And also coming again to give bitcoin a heads up about being giving existing currency a run.

I wont attach to much importance to it because her as the director of IMF largely revolves around keeping the status quo which I am sure she is not ready to deviate from and that's why I categorise them as one and the same thing because bitcoin is meant to change the status quo. Any other thing outside that is not allowed.
2678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Moneyless Society on: September 30, 2017, 08:48:12 AM
Hi,

I wanted to run this by you and see what you say.

What if we scrapped money altogether and just gave everybody what they wanted?

I know it sounds ridiculous, and everybody would just go for 100 cars and 100 fancy houses, but if you think about it, if you could get everything you wanted, all those things wouldn't be as valuable anymore, and it would lose it's "richness" appeal and people would be bored by it after a while and just settle with what they actually needed. Don't we have all the technology and resources to make this happen? It could also mean less crimes would happen then too.

Sidenote: I love the idea of bitcoin so I don't really want to ruin bitcoin, but hey, maybe we could go there with bitcoin somehow... Smiley

Scrapping money all together will not stop the social imbalance in the system because even before the establishment of money in the world, the time of trade by barter has been fraught with several problems and with this your proposal, it means going back to the stone age where you or I don't want to be for any reason.

To me, the social system is not perfect but its still OK compared to when money is eradicated it then create a system of questions that perfect answers cannot be sought among which will be:

What will be the basis to share?

Who are those that will be saddled with the responsibility to share and their qualifications?

What will be my one condition to meet to be part of the lot? Do I get automatic slot for being a member of the community or by working among several issues.
2679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who will Represent Bitcoin? on: September 30, 2017, 06:39:25 AM
Who will take the initiative to become the voice and take on the role of being the chosen representative of BTC?
The role of a chosen Messiah or Savior to help steer the road to a Crypto Future

You see even though there might be some advantages attached to having a central representative to decide any course of action, bitcoin does not have and does not need one because that is the ways it has been designed to be. Its decentralised and any attempt to make it otherwise will mean negating the original plan.

Today we talking about several issues, forking has happened and another one is upcoming but there is no one to stop it because of the original plan is just that way. If I have enough money and a group of people with the technical expertise, we can equally do our fork too and nobody will stop us.

The representative bitcoin needs is everybody that have come in contact with it so that you can control your life and finances without the influence of anybody.
2680  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM]Moneypot does not want to buy my RBIES as promised for the Floor price on: September 29, 2017, 08:29:52 PM
confirming that I received 0.3 BTC right now after exactly 24 hours. very good timing. all in all 48 hours from the moment asking for the address asking for the address.

edit
even I am not satisfied with the very long timing till I received my BTC I will keep my word and declare the scam accusation for now "Solved"

lets see ho wit will go on

You have made a valid point by making them keep to their word and a lesson to the MoneyPot admin or DogeDigital not to make promises they are not sure what the future is going to look like. If they had known, they would have put a disclaimer that they would only be able to cover only up to a certain benchmark and that would have saved a lot of all these troubles.

Truth be told the reason why they are holding their own end is because of the ongoing ICO which they dont want to taint because not been able to keep to their word and of they cant do that for what happen in the past, how can I trust them for the one they are making now?.

However, I think you should cut them some slack on how you are going about this whole thing because its starting to look at an intentional attitude which might be regarded as FUD and the moment that happens, you lose the moral ground for what you are asking. My humble opinion on what is going on.
