So is Koolio going to remove his order for 5k FC @ 20LTC/1k from the Feathercoin Orderbook? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Av3jjlvLSeOSdG5XYVhPLWE1RjBiUTFpYnZOMXlhNnc#gid=0

Listen you tit, if I could believe for one second your argument was structured and that you had no vested interest then I would listen, but fact is you sound like you have feather coin shoved so hard up your arse you can barely breathe without spitting them out. I did want to buy some, but id pay something like 10 ltc per 1000. Purely to gamble, not because I see a future in it.

As for your stupid TRC and PPC argument. What the fuck can you do with those coins apart from speculate? People are trying too hard to create another BTC that they fail to see all new alt currencies are purely speculative pump n dump machines. Dont tell me trc and ppc are worth x amount cause fact is they are pumped and dumped more times than a polish hooker.

The founders blatently premined loads, or had hardware to push it. Litecoin started at the very bottom even with exchanges. This currency just seems to want to follow where other coins trod... stupid noob buyers. Got nothing against the miners... but the buyers paying over 10ltc for 1000 fc are thick, and people trying to push it are too.

FACT IS YOU WOULDNT NEED TO PUSH IT SO DESPERATELY IF IT SERVED A PURPOSE.... WHICH IT DOES NOT!

You wanted to buy some when you thought they were dirt cheap (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=185265.0). Now you find out they are too expensive for you, you are crying they are worthless, throwing temper tantrum and use insulting language etc.

Btw people said the same thing about Terracoin which is basically a direct Bitcoin clone which almost died and it's still worth 60 cents. Feathercoin is here to stay.

I don't think it's necessary for you to express yourself like that. We are adults here, why the childish insults and bad language?

Bitcoin, Litecoin didn't start off day 1 with services and goods you could use them for. I am not going to continue trying to discuss this with you as I can predict further angry replies and insults, others can read my posts and decide for themselves  Smiley

Zulzedd just wanted to say thanks for running this, I think you are doing a great job.

Btw are you really changing that screenshot on the front page every time a new order gets placed?  Shocked Impressive dedication to running this order-book.

There is enormous amount of miners contributing to the network and everytime you refresh the page on this forum you see feathercoin topics at the top... huge buzz now which has lasted for days.

supply and demand.  who on earth valued BTC at 124 each?  Tongue  don't complain about it, instead capture the arbitrage.   Kiss

uh I think I read there is already 4 million coins made since launch 6 days ago, there is supply, with zero demand.

There were 2 million PPCoins made on it's first day. PPCoin is now worth 25 cents.
2686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Feathercoin - Meetup Strategy on: April 23, 2013, 09:46:02 PM
I like your enthusiasm.

In my humble opinion we should focus on increasing Feathercoins web presence and promoting it online. And most importantly keeping the network hashrate high and continuing to strengthen it... if the network hash remains strong for long enough Vircurex will pick it up.

Something we could do: grow the Reddit Feathercoin subreddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/Feathercoin/  (Litecoin one has 3000 active members).
2687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who on earth valued feather coin so high on: April 23, 2013, 09:41:59 PM
Price in free markets work by supply and demand. Economics 101.

No-one is forcing anyone to buy and sell these Feathercoins at a certain price.

Estimated next difficulty still climbing furiously. Now at 31.2
2690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Feathercoin network passed 850MH/S ! on: April 23, 2013, 07:58:45 PM
There will not be 50 million of these coins in 4 months. And my previous post shows why comparing coin circulations doesn't necessarily lead to the right conclusions about prices. Neither of us has a crystal ball, let's see what the free market perceives their value to be Smiley

Lol you are correct. I was thinking in my head 3 million coins in 1st week x 4 weeks x 4 months Embarrassed

Lol that's exactly what I did the first time around.

Good i got LTC stacked up. This url gives me a Hard*N

https://mtgox.com/api/2/stream/list_public

I'm 5 figures on LTC... life is good.

I am 6 figures on LTC  Cool  (ask people in my trading thread who I sent LTC to if you want proof)

Did you just adopt at  it's birth, were you wealthy enough to buy a shit ton or what? Just how do you people get so many of one coin? I'm enacting this grand plan to MAYBE get 2000 of a coin this week, which will be the most I've ever had.

I spent v little on them, that's all I will say  Smiley
2692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] What current alt crypto-currency do YOU believe in? on: April 23, 2013, 07:47:17 PM
I voted PPC because it's the only one listed that does something new and useful. Everything else on the poll is a blatant copy with no original ideas besides tweaking variables that don't matter (like block time) or switching to a botnet-friendly hash algo for the sake of obsolete mining hardware.

Don't waste your money on "boo hoo I missed the boat" pump-and-dump schemes.

PPCoin excites me a lot. I honestly think the only reason it hasn't risen even further in price is because people are still trying to wrap their heads around the original ideas. It has a lot of unique advantages over Bitcoin and Litecoin, I am compiling an easy understand list of them and am putting them on a simple website... stay tuned.

PPCoin, though there's still plenty of opportunity to overshadow it.

Feathercoin is a joke.

When the next scrypt based coin that actually adds some sick features to it comes out, that'll be huge. Feathercoin is just a distraction until then.

I used to say the same about Terracoin. Yet it's got to 50-60 cents being an almost complete Bitcoin clone. In fact it almost committed suicide and still it's going strong.

That's when I realised, it's people that give coins their value... Feathercoin is here to stay imo. Especially with so many Litecoin miners backing it.

Let's not kid ourselves. Feathercoin isn't going to overtake Litecoin, that would make no sense. But imo it should be more valuable than Terracoin or at least around the same price. It's provides an attractive option to Litecoin miners and there are no ASICs to mess with it.

I believe in a lot of the alt currencies. Litecoin in particular. I am also a big proponent of PPCoin and I think long term more people are going to be attracted to it.

Services make all the difference in the world. The right people behind a specific coin can act like a catalyst behind the value.  I'm deep in quite a few coins, if any increase, I'm loving life. My point is, community and what is developed will push it forward.  I'd be more than happy to see Feathercoin at a 4:1 with Litecoin long term.

I agree 100%. The community is definitely pushing right behind Feathercoin and we are seeing a lot of community support. Bytecoin was generating a similar level of buzz until an ASIC killed it stone dead, Feathercoin won't run into that problem so it's going to be a very exciting and intriguing experiment to see how far Feathercoin can go Smiley
2695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Feathercoin FC with BTC on: April 23, 2013, 07:12:37 PM
Difficulty is doubling in 12 hours or so, people are holding tightly onto their feather until then because they know that will cause another price rise
2696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Feathercoin network passed 850MH/S ! on: April 23, 2013, 07:03:43 PM
Nw simply rise the price to all time highs so i can speculate with my 120k FCs Tongue

I'm not selling many of mine until we reach a price similar to Terracoin. Terracoin is a Bitcoin clone and is worth 60 cents a coin and growing.

There are less Terracoins than Feathercoins I think.

Edit: Just checked - Feathercoins: 4,315,000 Terracoins: 2,251,920

There are 17 million Litecoins which is a lot more than than 2 million Terracoins yet Litecoins are worth $2.70 a coin...

There will be like 50 million of these coins in another 4 months. There will be close to 4 million TRC in another 4 months. Unless we see people trading FC for goods by that time, I doubt FC will be worth 60 cents. Of course, this is just my analysis and I could very well be wrong.

There will not be 50 million of these coins in 4 months. And my previous post shows why comparing coin circulations doesn't necessarily lead to the right conclusions about prices. Neither of us has a crystal ball, let's see what the free market perceives their value to be Smiley

You could also place an order here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=182424.0

I got a ton of pm's through listing on it.
2698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 30 Day Challenge - Feathercoin Development on: April 23, 2013, 06:46:51 PM

My point of this thread was anyone can do ** something ** to push it forward.  Maybe you give out free coins, maybe you help someone get into crypto in general, maybe you create a useful webpage, maybe you have a feathercoin bumper sticker.. I don't know. Smiley As a community, that's up to you to decide.

My contribution is trolling btc-e chatbox and spreading the word about Feathercoins.

2700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Generating a bitcoin wallet address for each user on: April 23, 2013, 06:37:50 PM
to monitor the balance of each address, either query bitcoind for the balance of the address, or query a third party api (blockexplorer, blockchain.info).

So I would keep polling bitcoind over and over to keep scanning for deposits to those addresses?  Smiley

You don't have to poll.  You can start up bitcoind with the switch '-blocknotify='<cmd>' and put whatever command you want to run in the place of <cmd>, for example a shell script or python script that asks for the balances of the addresses you are tracking.  It will only notify upon each additional block confirmation.

Awesome! Thank you  Cheesy
