2781  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some Errors We Make In Trading Crypto on: May 12, 2022, 08:03:05 PM
The absolute biggest mistake you can make, from what I believe and my years of experience in trading crypto, is to sell. Especially if that decision to sell came from a moment of emotional distress. That panic selling is exactly what whale market manipulators are trying to achieve. They want to buy your coins at a cheap price and they will try to put fear into you to achieve that goal.

If you have done your research and decided to invest in crypto then let it rest in your wallet and don't flip flop everytime it goes up or down.

I have made this mistake more than I can count. It always ends badly and I always regret it.
2782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler turns 60 pence bet into £157,865.59 on: May 12, 2022, 06:55:20 PM
As far as I see it, this is either fake news and / or a PR stunt for a certain casino or the Gambler did indeed make over 150k from 60 pence. If he did, then he was obviously EXTREMELY lucky, or maybe a time traveler from the future. I doubt anyone can predict so many winning situations so accurately. There are just too many variables in the way to make such predictions. I really hope it is real news because that man would be leading a nice, or rather decent retirement with that much cash. Really hope he does not decide to gamble it all again. I doubt he will keep his lucky streak up for long.

TLDR: Probably a PR stunt. I don't really believe it.
2783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why we should Buy some Bitcoins on: May 12, 2022, 04:11:18 PM
Bitcoin is currently trading at a good price and now is a good opportunity to enter the world of Bitcoin. If you've not bought bitcoins yet, this might be your best opportunity this year.
Bitcoin is currently trading at $ 34,493 and the bear market is coming to an end. Also, another good thing that will definitely affect the price of bitcoin is halving.
Big investors! One of the main reasons why the price of Bitcoin does not fall much is the presence of large investors. These investors do not allow the Bitcoin price sink lower.

The words you are looking for is market manipulation. But every market, whether crypto or stock is always full of those kinds of rich scumbags who try to spook people out of their investments just so they can buy them at a cheaper rate. Do not panic, do not sell. Thats the logic everyone should live by. And honestly, it is the only way to take away the power from those kinds of rotten people. If you take away the fear they have over investors, they can't manipulate people into selling.

2785  Economy / Economics / Re: Is crypto the final stage in the evolution of money? on: May 12, 2022, 02:35:19 PM
Of course crypto is not the final stage of money. Evolution is the process of perfection! In the far future or perhaps even the near future, we could develop something much better than crypto and that would phase out crypto as the old money. As things currently are, crypto is the next generation of money. We are finally taking back control from governments and corrupt bankers. And everything is on a public ledger so everything is fair and transparent. Thats what was missing from the old version of money, aka fiat...

I do wonder what the next stage of money could look like.... Or the web 4.0.

Exciting times ahead!
2786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk won't save Doge or Bitcoin this time on: May 12, 2022, 02:12:07 PM
We are back to the 90s, the Fed raised the rates by 0.50% - nothing is going to stop the trend of further rate hikes - which in turn will keep on taking the air out of the balloon so called Crypto.

Are you implying that Bitcoin, which has proven itself and keeps proving itself as a strong, unhackable currency which cannot be manipulated, somehow needs saving? Dogecoin is and always will be a useless, hype-value-based coin.

Elon Musk might have contributed to Bitcoin rising a decent amount but Bitcoin was doing very well before Musk and will be doing very very very well regardless of whether Elon Musks decides to keep backing Bitcoin or not.

Bitcoin is king!
2787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: WE NEED A HALL OF FAME? on: May 12, 2022, 01:53:12 PM
I made this post because i think we, the community of gambling of bitcointalk need a kind of Hall of Fame.

What im saying?. Some like a thread that show all the winner of major events like, big Poker tournaments, Predictions pools.

You can see all the winners of the tournaments or best positioning in one post. And also this can work like a "trust" tabble to who is speaking in any thread, like ohhh see he is the winner of X competition.

Example:

Top 3 of BETNOMI POKER SERIES.
Top 3 of Sportsbet Predictions POOL

What do you think?

Definitely, I think we would benefit as a community from having some kind of recognition for amazing results and wins. That would also be a way to make the gambling community more active and provide a bit of extra fun. But the question has to be asked: would this kind of recognition egg on bad habits for the people who are currently already suffering from gambling addiction?

We should definitely weigh the pros and cons before making a decision.

2788  Economy / Gambling / Re: Wizary.com |🚀NEW CRYPTO CASINO🚀| on: May 12, 2022, 01:15:47 PM
low requirements will be very likely to be abused by cheaters, you can see other new casinos holding promotions and are now overwhelmed because of the large number of multi accounts even though the wager requirement is quite high 30x. Casinos must have the right formula to be able to avoid or at least reduce their promotions from being violated otherwise they will only be considered as scam casino because cannot pay players winnings.

To deal with multiple accounts, I don't think reducing promotions is the right solution, maybe they can implement identity verification for accounts suspected of abusing promotions. I have seen several casinos reducing their promotions or tightening the terms of promotion, and as a result the casinos lost a lot of players and closed.

I think a decent strategy to dealing with multiple accounts can be found in identifying VPN users and also banning VPN usage across the entire website and letting your client base know about the VPN ban.

Furthermore you could introduce a strict KYC policy, although it is known that both VPN detection and KYC can be avoided with obscure technical methods and fake passports or similiar things of the same sort.

Why are multi accounts such a problem anyway?

2791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 19,400 BTC 2010 on: May 11, 2022, 10:17:09 AM
If those wallet files were real, they would have never sold them.

Every single case you see on the internet is either malware that is intended to steal your coins or is simply an empty wallet file manually modified to look like it contains keys to popular addresses with large balances.

This, exactly this.

If you are foolish enough to believe in something like that then you are going to get hacked 100%. We will see you on this forum again, except you will be complaining about how you lost all your Bitcoins/Altcoins.

I really do not understand why people waste their time chasing uncatchable dreams. If something is too good to be true, then it most likely is.

Do not download any suspicious data, especially if it is promising you some sort of reward or similiar things.
2792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PROS AND CONS OF CRRYPTOGAMBLING. on: May 11, 2022, 09:14:21 AM
"Decentralized", does that mean gambling through Web 3.0 will be censorship-resistant? That no governing/regulating entity can shut the site down, or ban users from using the site?
It will likely be censorship-resistant because the government can't do much to the casino. In addition, the casino owner will make his casino outside the jurisdiction of the country that prohibits gambling. I don't know about the regulators of a country that can close a site but if it's outside the jurisdiction of that country, they can't do anything.

It's a trade-off, and another set of challenges for the casino. Multi-accounting to take advantage of sign up bonuses could be one kind of swindle that a group of users can do to a casino without KYC.
Casinos will not stand idly by with multi-accounting that will be tried by a group of people because the casinos must have learned to deal with the problem. Every casino must have a problem with those multiple accounts but they sure know how to solve it.

I think the problem of multiple accounts cannot really be solved that easily. What comes into my mind first and foremost is just getting someone elses or a fake ID and using that to create a account. You can also use some undetectable VPN to make it look like each account is coming from a different place.

Although that being said, a lot of VPN providers are being detected by online gambling casinos, so I guess its up to you whether or not you would want to risk it on such a scheme. I really do not see the benefits of gambling on multiple accounts. The cons outweigh the pros.
2793  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best casino other than Stake . com? on: May 11, 2022, 07:44:24 AM
The question of best casino is a bit moot in its entirety unless you can tell us what exactly constitutes the best from your perspective. Do you want a casino with or without kyc? Lowest withdrawal fees? Lowest withdrawal amount? Overall security? No bad PR in the past?

I personally prefer casinos with low withdrawal fees. Fortunejack is the top casino in that category.

As far as games go, that depends on your own tastes.

Casinos that charge the lowest withdrawal fees:

1.   FortuneJack
2.   Bitcasino
3.   Sportsbet.io

2795  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you advertise your casino? on: May 10, 2022, 09:59:51 AM
As for me, experienced and trusted signature campaign managers could handle it better. There are lots of trusted campaign managers on this forum that advertise casino sites and so far most of their projects are successful. It will only be doubtful if the project itself has no future but as long as a project has a good foundation and is being managed and handled by trusted managers, I believe that it would succeed.
I like with casino signature campaign keep exist on long term like your signature casino code, trusted with casino site will give good feedback not only as signature campaign promoting but also wit many gambler not get complaint yet when playing experience casino sit. Maybe this why casino keep exist for long term, not only with trusted from bounty manager but also how friendly site running with gambler without get trouble maintaince or anything other bad.
I am not sure why everyone only speaks about bounty managers and not about other marketing person. There are a lots of forums and website which are good for marketing like insta, fb, youtube, tiktok which are good for marketing as well.. But no-one is mentioning that.

Unfortunately when it comes to advertising crypto or crypto related businesses, you will find yourself boxxed in with a limited amount of advertising options. Facebook and Tiktok? No, not really. On Facebook sure you can make a business page but forget about paid advertising. And Tiktok? They will delete your ads faster than you know. No paid advertising options either. So as long as you are working with something crypto related, you need to think creatively when marketing.
2796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A time people have been waiting for bitcoin to drop on: May 10, 2022, 08:29:32 AM
Hello 👋
Okay, presently I want to ask why the sudden panicking around the media and forum here.
I could ones remembered when bitcoin was +$69k and everyone seems to be panicking for the price to get 32k or below. Today we have another chance to buy very low yet people still waiting for the price to drop even more lower.
I want to know when is the best time to buy or waiting more dip to buy and what if the price turns back to bull?
What do we do?

The only ones who are actually panicking are the newbies who do not really yet believe in their Bitcoin investment. So they flip flop between selling and buying until their entire stash has been burned away from losses and fees. Especially fees.

Either you hodl, and if you are a bit adventurous, you can do some trading. But from my experience, hodling is always the best option.

Well, either way all newbies usually panic and make losses. Its an expensive life lesson in investing that everyone usually goes through.
2797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PROS AND CONS OF CRRYPTOGAMBLING. on: May 10, 2022, 07:54:45 AM
Adding Bitcoin or any crypto is definitely only going to bring benefits to whatever you are bringing crypto to. As long as that system was dependent somehow on a monetary system for any reason. Gambling is only one of the many branches of industry which benefit from using blockchain technology. Although we have not yet come to the point where gambling is 100% transparent, decentralised, unregulated and fair. Smart contracts might not be complicated enough yet.

But I see web 3.0 as the next generation of gambling. And crypto will definitely be the key player in making that happen.
2798  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 09, 2022, 06:07:38 PM
So the bears are clearly gunning for sub $30k.

What a shock.

At least they tell you where you should be putting your buy orders at.

proudhon where are you?

Your one post can stope this from happening.

Come on show us your negativity.

I don't know, looks like we could see a rally from here. Could easily get a pump to $60-70k.

Honhonhon is bullish? Thats not a good sign.

2799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hard earned money - Busted in seconds on: May 09, 2022, 11:00:12 AM
So how much did OP lose actually? I am quite curious as to the full amount he did not say.

Either way, I know the feeling. I have lost more than 2 months of hard earned/saved money and most of it went towards not even a good game.

I wonder, do crypto casinos offer monthly spending limits? I think that would be a very good idea since a lot of people have developed gambling problems and need a way to stop their gambling losing streaks after a certain amount. I know I would definitely benefit from such a function.

The online gambling casino would probably lose money like that, so I doubt they would offer such convenient services to their customers. Grin
2800  Economy / Gambling / Re: I miss the old OnChain gambling on: May 09, 2022, 10:24:45 AM

Agree. Regulation is taking part of this transition.

There are still many of these casinos today but you will need to connect your wallet to the  platform. Its not using BTC anymore but the altcoins with smart contract functions like ETH and etc. Only few of us are using them also because the transaction few is just too  much. I hope someone will really create that kind of casino again using LN so for it to be cheaper.

Online gambling casinos were not really that much of an issue back then, when crypto was still fresh and new. You could easily use Bitcoin without having to worry about this regulation or that regulation.

Nowadays without decentralization of gambling via smart contracts I do not see much of a future for online crypto gambling, as regulations just keep getting tighter and tighter...

The best option is just to keep upgrading until we reach the point of balance again. I still believe in Bitcoin and I am sure it will overcome this annoying government-placed obstruction of freedom.
