Hey guys,

wanna let you know that we are under massive attack since yesterday evening. (UTC)
zeit-coin.com and all sub domains are not available.

Stay tuned!

So long,
Ray

But....why??

You're asking why the attack , or why are they pulling their domains and not getting better protection instead?
2782  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: April 17, 2014, 05:38:58 AM
So, the cable connecting into the power supply for my baby jet upgrade got fried into mush at the power supply slot. Glad no fire started, the machine just shut off. No idea why this happened, maybe the radiator got really hot and affected the cable that was resting on it? The other chip is still hashing from the original power supply slot #1, but slot #2 is fried. I'd like to leave the one chip hashing as is, with the defunct power supply (one side still works). But, for the upgrade, can I just buy a new power supply and run it outside of the casing box along with the radiator/fan cooling assembly out in the open? Or does it require some of that interior casing ventilation? Much appreciated.

Oh my! I'm too lazy to search through HashFail posts but i remember that they were bragging about this not happening and they were giving KnC as example. Such fail!

I remember that too , and I think that it was of their shills actually posting in the knc thread.

Jaymes has the last but great chance to save all things and get the business running eve hotter if one can imagine. He just needs to invest rather in crazy active skyroketing marketing (TV is a must!), and then the price will skyrocket. What will happen then? He has got paid on very low prices for the cards with huge amounts of GPUC, which, if the price skyrocket he will be able to sell so high, that he will be able to get 3 or 4 times the amount of initial batch! On the otherside, if he continues to invest in cards he sells on loss on price of 1-2 satoshi and there is no campaign to get the price higher as well as demand I am really afraid for our future as well.

This is my strong suggestion and I sent it to him. I hope he agrees.

TV isn't really a strong winner in my book, nobody, not even bitcoin advertises on tv.
your target audience will be using google to search up info, other forums, and pools.
website advertisements would be the logical choice. including google adwords.

that combined with a solid trading platform like mintpal would do wonders.

Tv is good for people who have no clue about cryptos.
Google adwrods is for people that have heard of them but not ever researched
And when you go deeper , advertising on forums and pools is for poeple already in the game.

Depends if you want fresh blood or else.

But how is this coin going to evolve ... really?
Because being stupid , it can't do too many things..

Having an exchange is out of the question , stupids don't have a clue about math and trading...

2785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FlutterCoin FLT NEW Proof Of Transaction - UPDATE NOW FORK in 3 DAYS! on: April 17, 2014, 05:32:45 AM
i think it will stabilize around 1800 before and after the first block halving. and it will stay near there until 7 days later at the second block halving. 2300 after the second block halving is my guess. after that, i'm not sure.

Usually the markets already price in the block halving , just like it happened before in the case of doge.
There will be no miraculous rocket the moment the reward is cut.
2786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [HVC] Heavycoin - Ultra-secure, Decentralized Block Reward Voting, Fast on: April 17, 2014, 05:30:25 AM

Here's a tip.  I'm in the same boat as you all. Lots of wasted time and lots of wasted opportunity where we all could have been generating better revenue mining other ALTs.

Keep your ears open for Maxwell Coin.  Not much talk about it yet but I know the development team personally. Interesting ideas coming together. Will be based around NVIDIAs new Maxwell Architecture, but also mineable by CPU at modest profit/block rewards. Not much else I can say, just keep a look out. Follow my twitter below I'll announce more when I know more and am allowed to.

Good luck till then friends.

Oh, neat! Any idea when they'll ANN? And any idea if it will work well for older nvidia cards? Otherwise it seems like it'll be crazy exclusive Tongue

Coins that focus just on the mining algorithm are dead from the start.

It's not the miners that dictate the price anymore.

It's the hype , the traders , the actual use of a coin.

this whole struggle on finding new algos is a waste of time.

2787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZET] Zetacoin - SHA256 coin - Quick confirmations on: April 17, 2014, 05:28:14 AM
ive lost several days of mining transferring from coinex to cryptsy

i wondering how many bitcoins are lost forever, ive lost too many zetas so far.
Doing my part for deflation, i guess.

Cryptsy is about the worst exchange I've dealt with. Surprised people still use them so much but they do have the volume.. Mintpal and bter are both worlds better in terms of speed and reliability.

Mintpal has just shown how reliable it is the last few days.
It kept going offline during the BC spike and it was actually their failure that burst the BC bubble.

It was just like the second gox of april.

There are too many premine coin, 0 preming must be fair

Premine is new new trend , but most of them are scams where the "dev" just builds up a hype and waits for a pump to dump it all and then he is on the next project doing the same.
2790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Ф365Coin - Your daily currency. ★FAIR 0% Premine★ KGW FIX HARD FORK INC on: April 17, 2014, 05:22:04 AM
I'm doing a research project on coin distribution for both older and new coins. I'm interested on gathering some data for top addresses and how much of the coins the top100 have. This along with the number of people (addresses) actually holding any amount of coins.

I have some info from bitinfocharts on a few coins but I really do need some data on other coins along with less exposed or new ones.

If anyone knows an explorer with this feature drop a line.
You can use this explorer and extract all addresses:
https://github.com/znort987/blockparser

Or ask Agran, examples of his work:
top100 of Twecoin http://coinia.net/twecoin/getbalance.php?top=100
top100 of MMC http://agran.net/mmc_getbalance.php?top=100
top100 of fuguecoin http://agran.net/fc_getbalance.php?top=100

Thanks for the links , this is what I was looking for.

I've already collected a few and i'll use that to do the job for the rest.
2791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: April 17, 2014, 05:20:05 AM
That is some great drawing but I have no idea what is going on. Your english is very doge.

I don't really understand what that is supposed to mean..
Besides , next time she should just share a link , instead of inserting that image. I had to scroll down a minute because of it.
2792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: April 17, 2014, 05:14:44 AM
Every dollar spent on Auroracoin is one that isn't spent on Bitcoin.

http://themisescircle.org/blog/2014/03/14/the-coming-demise-of-the-altcoins/

That is not true.
Simply because you need to buy first BTC in order to get most of the alts. Only a few have a working and  let's say "trusted" exchange that deals with $.

Most of the aur buys are done via BTC trades.
2793  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 17, 2014, 05:12:09 AM
For whatever it is worth, here are price plots of the April 2013 and November 2013 "bubbles":

The plots were clipped from bitcoincharts.com and colorized with gimp to improve contratst.  The left one was stretched vertically 8% with gimp to get both on the same vertical log scale (~1208 pixels/decade).  The strokes show the high/low intervals in each 3-day period.

For a better comparison one should use the mean price, weighted with a smoothing kernel.  May do that.

You can stretch them again , use a different time period , change the colors , but no way you can get those too match.

I really don;t understand why people have this need of matching current events with previous ones in order to "see' the future.

Map of Freedom:

I bet that remaining cities will be seized before 9 May  Smiley

Freedom?
Freedom from the current government and ending in the trap of another !

There were at least 20 countries or regions that shouted "freeedom"... and look where they are now Smiley.

I bet on the 9th of May 2015 , their situation will be the same ( living standard i mean).
2795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: April 17, 2014, 05:07:16 AM

Whats your motivation to spend that much time in this thread?
You also listen to music and eat stuff you dont like?

I don't eat it but i give advice to people that the food stinks or in this case it's poisonous.
Just like being in this thread makes me no Aur investor or bagholder.

I was right about the drop in price back then and I advise people not to buy since the 10$.
I bet that the guys buying at 90$ have an indigestion , just like the ones that didn't listen to my food advice.
2796  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 17, 2014, 05:02:18 AM
Volume drying up on Houbi.

Either this means the rally is temporarily over and its time to test some deeper Fib lines OR it means there are no sellers and the market is resting before continuing up.

I give it 50/50 either way.

Or finally they stop faking that volume , but that is just wishful thinking I admit.
The moment we stop taking chinese exchanges seriously we're out of this mess.
2797  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Rome against austarity. Violence ensues. on: April 17, 2014, 04:59:29 AM
Italians are hard workers. I'm always surprised when I'm going to an Italian restaurant to get such great food for less than half I would pay in neighboring France. Then, they have to work hard, in most of Italy, property is very expensive. Several times what it costs in Spain.

Probably the owner is a german the cook a romanian and the girl serving the stuff a russian.
And the meat from slovenia and the vegetables from turkey.

No. I'm very careful when it comes to choosing restaurants. The places I choose are 100% Italian where nobody speaks anything but Italian, and I'm going there to eat Italian pasta with Italian cheese and Italian ham. When it comes to that, a major issue right now in Italy is that some German company has managed to get the right to sell some German ham with the name of a famous Italian ham, and it's a shame because that German ham doesn't taste at all like the Italian ham... Thanks Europe!

In Rome, there are quite many fast food outlets with Tunisians or other Arabs workers, but I'm not going there.

In the last news I read regarding food from Italy were my country was involved was that Italian brands were using Romanian milk and cheese for their products and selling them advertising that they are 100% italian.
So , i will not be so sure about the real origin of the food.

In a feew years we'll find out that the beer in OktoberFest is actually from the Czech Republic
2798  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ukraine rejects Russia Gazprom gas price hike on: April 17, 2014, 04:55:47 AM
Yeah I'm not up on all the news regarding Russia and their plans for pipelines but something tells me they won't be doing that deal with turkey.  Feels more like some form of political posturing of sorts to me.

Turkey is one of the most important NATO members. Why should Russia go with Turkey, dumping their old and trusted allies such as Bulgaria and Serbia? This is never going to happen.

Even if the pipeline would have been constructed through Turkey it would still have run through Serbia and Bulgaria.

I'm interested if the Trans Adriatic Pipeline  or Nabucco will ever get finished.

Hmmm , let's get Klichko out of this.
He might have taken a few euros or more  but unlike the others he had earned enough cash by himself to buy those houses.

Ok, I also heard that he got to drinking recently, having finally realised what kind of hell hole he dug himself into. I shall be magnanimous.

You just had to attack him .... why this ?

I am not attacking, but relaying information, that I gleaned from some Ukrainian chatter, that actually sounded rather sympathetic and a little pitying for the situation he got himself into. There is a difference. I don't have anything against him.

You've got this from a chatter , but you still had to point it out.
It's like , hey this guy isn't like the others , I admit , he's not corrupt but man he has such drinking problems....

It was still a personal attack with no reason , just to make him look bad like the others.

2800  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Real Time Socialist Train Wreck (again) Happening Now in Venezuela on: April 17, 2014, 04:46:46 AM
"Free" is never free. Someone is always paying.

The Venezuelan government is paying. They are taking care of Cuba's petroleum needs. Right now, Cuba doesn't have to worry about its oil imports. They can import for all their needs, without paying a penny.

So those 80 000 health care workers were paid with buckets of hot liquid asphalt? Why were they not happy then?

I wonder who really pays them... the Venezuelans directly or they receive the money from the Cubans government.
I understand the deal between but maybe they get only half of the money their government actually makes from this deal.
