The only way I see this even remotely happening is for brand new sites willing to part with their ability to developed a casino as they see fit in return for hopefully some traffic.  There are hundreds or thousands of casinos out there.  If you don't like a particular one because of theor views then just don't use them, just like in the brick and mortar locations.  I like the idea in theory but in execution I don't think this would get very far.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $26,000 to invest, any suggestions? on: March 08, 2024, 11:47:36 PM
Hey there!

I have around $26k in stable coins, and currently own:

30% BTC
20% ETH
20% SOL
20% LINK

I'm considering some low cap projects, but try to stear away from complete meme/gamble projects, only driven by hype. Doge, Pepe, etc....

Which projects should I look into? Currently on my radar are:

Hydranet (HDN) First Layer 3 DEX, which offers instant, virtually feeless trading between BTC, ETH, USDT, and many more. Their DEX is live, and working, as can be seen here, comparing Thorchain And Hydranet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SJsAUx-hJA&t=11s - Fees collected from the DEX will be paid in ETH to token holders.

If Hydranet dethrones Thorchain, we're looking at a 180x from here, which is pretty damn good.

Connext Network (Connext)
Connext offers layer-two scaling solutions. Connext addresses the scalability challenges faced by blockchain networks, resulting in faster and more cost-effective transactions.
This one is interesting, but high risk due to its very low marketcap.

These are just a few examples on my list - I'm looking for projects with actual utility, as I invest for the long term.

What is on you guys radar? I'm not interested in dog/cat meme coins, or anything like that. I don't plan to straight up gamble my money, like in a casino.  Cheesy

Honestly that's too much in alts.  Any portfolio that is less than 50% bitcoin is at risk of losing more than you gain.  Some of those alts are large cap so not a massive risk but the upside isn't much more than bitcoin to begin with.  I'm of the thought process that 80% or more shoukd be in bitcoin and gamble the rest on alts.  But that's just me.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead Coins: Over 50% of Cryptocurrencies Have Failed on: March 08, 2024, 11:45:15 PM
Over 50%?!?!  I'd say more like 99.9% of crypto has not only failed but has never even started as a legit project.  There are thousands of coins people don't even know about and only a handful that can be seen as successful.  It's really easy to create coins so there is no reason scammers would stop now.  If one fails then they can just create another.  Crypto alts is a landfil of garbage to sift through.
284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 08, 2024, 11:41:08 PM
The Simmons news was one thing… Shams also reported that Karl Anthony Towns is out for the rest of the season with a torn meniscus. Horrible news for the Minnesota Timberwolves who have been looking like this might be their best chance at winning a championship since the days of Kevin Garnett. Sad news…

But there are reports that he could still go back and it will take at least 4 weeks or a month. And if they get to the playoff regardless of their seeding, chances are KAT will be back in the lineup. Nevertheless it's a big blow to them, although ANT just exploded for 40+ points and with a chase down block to give them a big win.

And probably that's the reason whey the are the underdog in this game. But they proved the odd makers wrong again and there are bettors who go to Pacers knowing that KAT will be out (including myself).

I don't know if he can comeback because according to the official report, his status now is  he is "out indefinitely", which means even if he comes back he is still not 100%. Not sure what would happen to this team but it's a good thing that they have a good standing now, and they need to prove that they can still compete at a high level in the playoffs even without KAT, although they are better with KAT.

Let's see how this team will go after the injury, things really happen as we never know when this injury would hit. Just so sorry for this team, they look like a championship team until this happened.  Sad

It's a huge blow to the Timberwolves.  Sitting in the one hole but now with a huge he to fill.  KAT is huge for that team, I don't think Ant is built to carry a team yet.  I can see Denver tightening down and claiming back that one seed.  Either way in the west it doesn't seem like being in one spot vs the other will make a huge difference.  All the teams 1-10 are going to be an issue to deal with.  So long as they emd up in the 1-4 holes they should be fine come playoffs.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 08, 2024, 11:38:35 PM
Couple nights off but last night went 1-2.  Need a couple wins here tonight to right the ship.

Game 1) gimme the cavs -1.5 against the Timberwolves.  Without KAT the duo of Jarret and mobley shoukd be able to handle the center.  Home game and basically a pickem.  Tight game but gimme the cavs.

Game 2) bucks -3.5. In LA and nationally televised game just feels like a dametime 40 point game incoming. Giannis is a lot for that group to handle.  Bucks -3.5 on the road.

And lastly I like Houston-5.5.  This one is more a gut feeling and needed a third game and this one felt the best.  Lol. Probably the only one I win tonight Smiley

Enjoy the games!
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you avoid some games because of racism? on: March 08, 2024, 11:11:48 PM
Especially on sports betting we see some racism happening and this happened in most of the league that are popular of which so many persons bet on. It bothers me to ask, that imagine you placed a bet and somehow you have 80% assurance that it would come out successful. And on the process of waiting for the game to end there was some racism manipulation in the game which made you lost the game. It could be football or other sports cause its mostly found in sports.

Next time would you choose to not bet on a particular game because you feel the members of the VAR, or the referee are racist, and you are sure that there would be some manipulation?

Never.  I have no idea how someone could even put the impacts of racism into the outcomes of sports games.  Traditionally speaking both sides of the ball have the same level of races playing in one game.  How would you pick one side vs the other based on something so rediculous as racism?
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget Bitcoin - Memecoins Like Pepe, FLOKI and Bonk Are the Big Gainers Now on: March 07, 2024, 11:41:03 PM
In the end it's fools gold because most people will buy then they won't be able to recognize the market tops, and when it starts the eventually bull dip they use hope as a way to not be able to.part with their bag.  Most people end up dragging it all the way to the bottom.  And to make matters worse when it levels off at the bottom and doesn't shoot back up they think it's the end and sell just to get soemthing back.  That's a lot of people's story.
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Pattern that 99.9% Leads to Bankruptcy: High Rolling on Slots! on: March 07, 2024, 11:38:13 PM
I mean yeah.  I rolling on slots long term is a losing play.  Low stakes for long term and every once in awhile hit the big ones in hopes of a lottery win.  Slots obviously favor the house so anything everyday and longterm end pretty poorly.  Slots to me are used for fun and entertainment.  Friday night out with some friends good for some fun.  That's how I experience slots.
289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 07, 2024, 11:33:54 PM
Haven't bet in a couple of nights but just dropped down 3 bets:

Dallas -4.5.  Small spread at home, I expect some Luka and kyrie magic tonight with some home cooking.  Dallas by 10.

Warriors -7.5 at home vs bulls.  Warriors got dredged in Boston and expect a comeback and right the ship.  Every game is a must win for them, dubs by 10.

Last game Phoenix-10.5 against the rapters.  In Phoenix don't think this is a good matchup for the rapters.  Suns are gonna sneaky climb the charts and become favorites here again at the end of the year.  Suns 127 - rapters 109
290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Even as a sport fan be careful! on: March 07, 2024, 11:29:20 PM
I don't know what this has to do with sports betting but yeah sports especially in high pressure situations brings the worst out in people.  In the United States some cities are worse than others, but generally speaking when going to a visiting stadium it's not recommended to show your colors and gloat or talk smack when you are the minority there.
291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making decisions while betting on: March 07, 2024, 11:26:49 PM
Emotions greatly effects your emotions and casinos bank on it to stay on top.  I will add a fifth one, sentimental value.  The most prevalent you will see this in sports betting.  People who sports bet generally bet on sports they like to watch which means they have teams they root for.  Most times they will over value teams they like and not be able to take the emotion out and either bet on them OR against them when they should.  I generally steer clear of any teams I root for because even if I think.im right I feel like my judgement is clouded.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: US Spot Ethereum ETF on: March 06, 2024, 09:08:48 PM
Price aside I just saw another thread with Solana being asked if they will get etf approvals lol.  Eth has a better shot but the SEC typically doesn't have a large appetite to expose the public with highly volatile assets that could plummet their wealth quickly.  It took bitcoin a long time to soften them up its gonna be way longer than just a couple of quarters.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Odds for approving a Solana spot ETF? on: March 06, 2024, 09:06:51 PM
If Ethereum gets its own spot ETFs approved by the SEC, do you think the same will happen with Solana in the future? I mean, Solana is the most popular smart contract Blockchain after Ethereum. It rose exponentially in price over the past few months. If spot ETFs are approved, market prices will soar all the way to "Mars".

What do you think? Will a Solana spot ETF become a reality? If not, why? What are the odds for approval? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

I don't know if anyone would be able to put odds on it.  But if Solano is approved to be bought via ETFs then that means a ton of other altcoins will be too.  Knowing how reluctant the SEC is with crypto and exposing people to possible scams is not going to be an easy thing to get over.  It took bitcoin a long time to get approved I would assume a similar path would be for these individual altcoins.  Sounds like etfs are the next fad lol.
294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will AI Take over the Position of VAR? on: March 06, 2024, 09:04:26 PM
I think AI will take over a lot of these things.  I'm actually against it, I like the human element of the game and don't want it so robotic.  Even in other sports same thing, no need for refs at a certain point.  The one thing it will take out of the equation is corruption by the officials or refs.  Even then someone will find a loophole to exploit.  But yeah it's probably coming.
295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 06, 2024, 09:01:47 PM
The west does seem like more the wildcard at this point.  The east seems like it's relegated to either Boston or the Bucks.  I really can't see anyone else truly challenging.  Sixers are interesting because embid can straight dominate but injuries.  But 1-10 in the west it feels like such a coin toss.  Gonna be a good playoffs out west this year.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What you think about this ponzi scheme ? on: March 05, 2024, 11:59:30 PM
Found another ponzi scheme where you lock your funds and get rewards for the lifetime i am sure its a kind of scam but those who ape in early on the scheme get good profit in 2021 there's a project called baked beans i get 40% profit of my investment and in 3 4 months that project crashed and now a days MINU with the marketcap of 6Million is trending and people took huge profit from it now there a project called MPEPE follow the same steps i am thinking to  invest in that project on early stages and get profit from it i know later on its also gonna crash but if i ape in early it might give me good profit so what you guys think i am in the right direction or not ?

Website: https://minerpepe.com/

Of you knowingly enter a ponzi you deserve to lose all of your money for 2 reasons.  One you perpetuate these kinds of scams by making it worthwhile and second because you already know it's a scam.  You hope to get in only to have some poor sucker behind you lose tjeor money.  Either way it's shameful.
297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 05, 2024, 11:57:43 PM

It could also be the genetics, and I will say that he is a genetic abnormally because even at his age, he is not slowing down just like the rest of the players and as if he is still in his prime and no one can even get close to the records that he has put. For $1 million? yeah it really pays off, he can spend that big money on his body as he is one of the highest paid athlete in the NBA today. And probably even in off season, he still take care of his body unlike others let's say his contemporary in Carmelo Anthony, so is not known to go in the gym but just rely on this pure talent. But we've seen that his game deteriorated when he is no longer in his prime.

Yes he is gifted but at the same time he is also very discipline, that's the reason why despite of his age he is still dominant. For a superstar that has a lot of money to spend on things, he knows how to manage his finances, as other irresponsible stars might just abuse their body like partying with friends and spending their money to enjoy life.

Lebron is quite differnet, he is an inspiration to aspiring players that in this kind of sports, even if a player is aging, as long as they know how to take care of their body, they can still play and be paid with a decent salary.

Lebron is a freak of nature let's be real.  Most everyone else at his age in the NBA is well on the downside of theor career and Bron still looks the part in terms of being able to take over a game whenever he feels like it.  I'm sure there is a lot of work involved but put someone else with the same regimen and they won't be able to sustain a career like he does.  Dude is a freak.
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: your perception about gambling on: March 05, 2024, 11:55:21 PM
No gambling could be an entertaining hobby for any class.  As long as you have funds set aside for entertainment and have the ability to lose that money and not affect your life than more power to you.  People go to movies or drink wine, etc as a hobby why not gambling.  Not a lot of people consider it a form of entertainment and I don't really know why.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a benefit to joining miner pools in their early stages? on: March 04, 2024, 08:35:05 PM
Cmon you can't really believe this.  This along with anything else in life that promises these types of returns are scams.  Not maybe but full on scams.  So either you are one of the scammers or you haven't come across these types of scams.  Either way don't ever deal with these types of things.  Blow right past them you will be glad you did.
300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 04, 2024, 08:31:30 PM

Or it's not the same KD this season? He seems to be making a lot of turnovers and not taking the game. Maybe because he had Booker and Beal. But he needs to step up again and hope that they won't fall in the standings in the West.

Still the same KD but has improved this season, one game does not make people forget what he has done for the Suns this season. The stats themselves will prove that he has improved this season because last season he was only averaging 26 PPG, but now it has increased to 27 PPG.

You can refer below for more information.
https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/duranke01.html

KD is a willing passer and that's why when Booker is playing, he doesn't need to take over the game every time, and they have had success doing that so far. Unfortunately, there has been a problem of consistency in the team since, from time to time, one of them will be injured, just like Booker who was recently injured, and Beal came back not 100% yet, so that has really affected them.

As these guys get older they tend to slack off a little in season.  You will see the guys like steph, lebron, kd all sharpen their game come playoffs time.  KD will be fine and so will the Suns.  I'd be more worried about him if he was getting nicked up throughout the season going into the playoffs hobbled.
