Shocking news came from Gervonta Davis who took off her WBA Super Lightweight belt to challenge the WBA, WBO, IBF Lightweight champion George Kambosos Jr, Gervonta Davis bold decision also made plans for a fight between Gervonta and Josh Taylor as the undisputed Super Lightweight champion now cancelled, reportedly gervonta now prefers to keep his current WBA belt.

Source : Talksport

So he will remain in the 135 lbs for now? Well, that is a good decision, Lopez is also targeting Josh Taylor at 140 lbs after his lost to Kambosos. And it also seems that Haney is willing to fight Kambosos in Australia.

So now the 135 lbs is very exciting after the upset of Lopez and all champions wanted to a piece of Kambosos as they think he is a weaker champion. Ryan Garcia is also waiting in the wing and looking for a Davis fight as well. So for sure next year we will see this champions facing each other for unification.
2822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 10, 2021, 02:29:25 PM
I was really amused about the Memphis - Lakers game last night. Lebron, Westbrook and Davis all were playing in this game but they still lost to Memphis by 108-95. The reason why especially was that Westbrook performed really bad. He was able to score only 9 points in 33 minutes. He got a 3/9 FG made. He missed many shots as he was not in fine feather.

A bad night after a good night. Westbrook seems inconsistent but at least he's trying to catch up. They should win against a handicapped Memphis but lack of fuel to boost their performance. Time to move on and hope for the best next game for the Lakers. A good win for those who bet against them making it worth it to bet o continue betting against them if they are the Favorites.

They are up against Oklahoma City Thunders and Orlando Magic for their next 2 games and it seems they will be tagged again as the Favorite.

Yeah, after a good win in their previous game, now they've suffered another loss against the Memphis.

Too bad the Lakers are really good at being inconsistent, James missing a 3 that will close the gap in the fourth and you can see the frustration on him after he missed that shot. He even goes early to the locker room without waiting for the actual buzzer. Not a good sign if we see him like this in a losing game.
2823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Commey - December 11 on: December 10, 2021, 01:57:44 PM
I am also speculating that the under 8.5 rounds, however, @Boafeng and @bisdak appear to be predicting that Lomachenko might also win on a decision because Commey’s only defeat on a knockout is versus Teofimo Lopez, who is a heavy puncher. Lomachenko’s knockouts came from when his opponents did not see the punch coming.

I will take the risk here and bet for Loma to win via decision  Cool. Compared to the lanky Nakatani, Commey is tougher on the outside so I think he will survive this one, and knowing how technical Loma is, Commey might just fight to survive and not fight to win lol. The odds for the decision win is just too attractive for me so I will give it a shot. Even though he can't KO Commey, Loma is still a beauty to watch, hitting his opponents on an awkward angle and the footwork is so amazing.

Good for you mate, and hopefully it will be a risk worth rewarding in the end.

I like your analysis for sure Commey might play defense in the mid rounds and make it difficult for Loma to score a knock out. Nakatani is a face first fighter as compare to Commey who doesn't want to go toe to toe but counter its that he was caught early in the Lopez fight and that was a brutal punch by Lopez with all the power because he was fresh as that was early rounds. But for this fight, it seems that he will be more careful and might be a chess match.
2824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: December 09, 2021, 04:49:43 PM
Not only the love of sports but most especially the opportunity to earn more money, when a boxer is at the top, they can make more money due to opportunities of having big fights, so Donaire will not retire yet as he can still make money and his goal to be an undisputed champion has not be achieved yet.

Why are you talking that Donaire is already old? Look at him and try to analyze how good he is on his last fight. Donaire would not be a champion now if he is not capable of winning, so let's not worry about his age because it's just a number, as long as he keeps himself busy with training, he surely still has a lot to offer at his age.
While it is true that age is just a number and that people age at different rates at the same time we cannot deny that the older you get the more chances you have to see a very fast drop in your skills from a fight to the other, we are not going to know if this happened until we watch Donaire fight Gaballo, but it is a possibility, after all we have seen a lot of great fighters that during their previous fight looked great only to fall considerably in their performance during their next fight.
Well, mostly that's what going to happen soon for Donaire and maybe he's feeling it now, he can't really deny that fact even though he trains more hard than he had in the past years because even those famous and talented athletes in any given sports will become rusty if your age will catch up on you.
Nonetheless, we will know what will happen soon about this match because for me, I can't know for sure who have the upper hand and more favorable to win and both of them have some advantages.

The only one that can beat Donaire (and other old and ageing sports stars) is Father time. Even if he feels that he still has something to show, but if his body is giving him different signals then maybe it will not be a good idea for him to continue specially if we see some upsets here. But if Donaire wins here by another KO then maybe he will have one fight left in him.

For Gaballo, take this opportunity and give everything he got and try to win against Nonito. Maybe he won't get a chance to fight for the title again if he lost here. And about the odds, imagine you bet on Gaballo and somewhat win, that will be huge win for you, Lol.
2825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Commey - December 11 on: December 09, 2021, 03:53:11 PM
You guys made me laugh  Grin.

Anyways, thanks for the compliment but labeling me as a boxing expert is too much but appreciate it that you have noticed my speculations in boxing as I'm an avid fan of this sweet science since my teens. Lots of users here who are better than me when it comes to boxing speculations, @Baofeng is a legend for me when it comes to this sport.

Back to the topic, the odds for Loma to win by KO is not too tempting especially to us non-high-roller gamblers and Loma is out to prove that he is the top dog of this division so he will try his best to KO Commey if there is an opportunity.

I'm seriously contemplating on betting for Loma to win by decision with that 3.45 odds because Commey's only KO loss came from Teofimo Lopez who is a well-known brawler and a heavy puncher, I think that he has the chance to last the full 12 rounds.

@Baofeng, what's your take on this one bro?

You do not think that Lomachenko might have more motivation to knockout Commey after witnessing the lacklustre performance of Gervonta Davis and the boring performance of Haney? This is his chance to snatch that opportunity from those champions hehehe.

In any case, I will follow the experts for this one.

@Boafeng. Your fans are waiting hehehehe.

He will always go for the knockout if the opportunity presents itself. His power is under rated because we are at awe with this technical prowess.

So with that said, the under 8.5 round is good to bet @1.89. Good to throw some decent amount of money as I don't see this going 12 rounds.

And probably yes Loma will be motivated to show who is the best 135 lbs right now, those champions are boring, Davis specially Haney who don't have the firepower but still a champion because of careful matchup.

Lomachenko winning by KO is another statement that he is still present and he can reclaim his past losses especially if he will be given a rematch against Lopez. Now, it's him who is in the limelight of his career because he easily recover from his big loss, and let's see if his journey will continue.

Good luck to Loma, he deserve to win and get a big fight again against any champion.

Correct, that's why in the Nakatani fight he try to win by knockout and shows that he is back again and shows message that he wants to get back his title.

And again this fight, if he sees that opportunity to score a big win by KO then he will do it and again, to give other champions like Kambosos a word that he is ready for the title shot.

So let's see, it might not go to the judges scorecard and could be less than 8 rounds.
2826  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Finally Climbs Back Above $50k, but can it Remain there? on: December 09, 2021, 10:55:59 AM
Maybe the OP spoke too soon as the price goes down below $50k again after 2 days, right now it's $49,200 and I'm wondering that maybe we just saw a bull trap or the resistance is too far greater that it can't conquer it, hence there is a little sell off again and maybe try to reset everything in the next couple of days.

So maybe we get the answer now, not enough and can't sustain the $50k price for now. And yes, the market is still in the middle ground and not decided where to go and I think this is still a good sign that maybe we can have a break out run and become bullish before the end of the year.
2827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 09, 2021, 09:30:44 AM
The most attracting game for me tonight is Miami Heat vs Milwaukee Bucks now. There is not much time left for the game to start. And I see that there are some important missing players at Heat. We will see if this will affect them very badly. Bucks are only one position ahead of Heat now in the Eastern Conference. Comparing their forms, Bucks are in a more stable condition. They won 4 of their last 5 games and Heat were able to win only one. And Bucks were overwhelming against Heat in most of their last head-to-heads. I think Bucks can get another win here.
The Buck will dominate against the shorthanded Heat and that' easy to see unless Herro and Lowry score 40+ points. Spoelstra insists that they have enough players who can win which is a good thing to say to motivate his players. I doubt he's 100% convince with that.

Probably another 120+ points for the Bucks.

We were waiting for that to happen but it turns out that Heat destroyed them by 113-104. But I believe that the main reason for it is that Giannis didn't play very good this time. Even though he played for 32 minutes, Giannis got only 15 points. J. Holiday (27 pts) and Middleton (20 pts) tried to carry the team but it was not enough for a win. After losing two times in a row, Heat finally got a nice win.

Yeah, I thought that the Bucks are going to win in this game, unfortunately, Giannis is still not 100% in this game because it is very unusual for him to just score 15 points and without the big man Bam in the middle to contest his shot.

The other games, GSW vs Portland, it was expected that GSW will have a blow out win against a Lilliard and CJ less Portland, but they have a bad shooting night specially in the first quarter as they've missed clean look at the 3. Not enough to cover the spread, they just won 10 points. I even have them at least -11.5 but still not enough to cover that.
2828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: December 09, 2021, 09:05:18 AM

The question is, did Novak Djokovic take the jab or not? If yes then good for him, but at least he should show proof for tennis media so that we are 100% sure of that and not that the Australian organizers has just given the top seed a favor here because it will not be fair for the other players.

And I'm sure that we are not going to ridicule Djokovic for changing his stance about not taking the vaccine, on the contrary we are going to appreciate what he has done, follow the safety protocols because majority of us has had vaccines.

Nobody is above the law, even not Djokovic. So if the Australian Open asks that all players will be vaccinated, than all players will be vaccinated, no exceptions at all. There are already multiple news media that have confirmed that Djokovic will participate so he has taken the vaccine shot.

@babygun until Djokovic says he’s vaccinated I would believe he isn’t, and he hasn’t confirmed if he’ll be playing so it’s a mystery for now. Furthermore media outlets are reporting that he may get special privilege despite not being vaccinated, but for now this is just purely speculative hence we’ll have to wait for the official word on this.

True, Djokovic should at least confirmed that he will play because he has taken the vaccine already.

I can't find any reports though that he has taken the jab, so still, there is some questions about him specially his beliefs about the corona virus and the vaccine itself. I still remember him, insisting "freedom of choice", cry in the media. So maybe he has been vaccinated or not or just simply refused to answer this question.
2829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Q:Why isn't the Shocking Ethereum Fees discussed more in Media? A:... on: December 09, 2021, 07:53:40 AM
It's for the same reason why the transaction fees on the Bitcoin network is not discussed too often. It's been known for a few years now and it's not shocking anymore. There are still a few posts complaining but it doesn't get a lot of attention anymore. One particular reason why these people continue to use Ethereum and erc-20 tokens is they are earning more so they can easily take care of the fees.

Different case though, bitcoin fees have been reduced already for many months or even years now specially exchanges and people switching to Segwit.

While the much highly anticipated Eth2.0 was supposedly to solved the issues of high gas fees. This problems appeared in 2017 and early 2018 when cryptokitties surges and up to know the devs behind Ethereum doesn't have any solution about the fees. Maybe the move from PoS to PoW was the real culprit or the Eth validators are greedy.
2830  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc $100k prediction by eoy on: December 08, 2021, 11:52:58 PM
Large scale institutions are doing all in their power to accumulate as much as possible at their lowest prices. But we will find out how things play out. People have been predicting bitcoin to hit $100K+ by the eoy and with 3.5 months left, we're nowhere close. Though I felt the same way, sometime like maybe its a pipe dream.. but a lot of people still believe this, and one thing that I think I saw for certain the other day.. That Walmart fake news for example.. The price within 10 minutes went from like 44k to like 47k .. I don't think that was small investors who drove price up that fast, I think that was institutional money buying the fake news..

These prices you've mentioned here was already an attempt for possible rise in the near future of Bitcoin price. We reached $60k already then drowned so low down to below $30k lastly, but now we're back on track so it's all up to us if we continue to thrive harder as time moves forward. Fake news has nothing to do with our progress, better let ignore them and keep your goals consistent.

There are very less chance to reach 100k by EOY.  Current correction has led to see BTC go below $48k where other coins as well had to go through a huge dip. Now we might stay or move until $65 k to $70k by end of this month. Whomever is in crypto, must be eager to see Butcoin reaching $100k. Awaiting for it

Forget about the $100k this year, S2F has failed in its prediction model because there's no doubt that we can grow x2 in the next 3 weeks to reach 6 digits. But it was adjusted to say that it can still be hit next year.

The correction due to Covid-19 new variant was never factor out in the equation because obviously we didn't see it coming.

So for us traders, we just need to readjust and not be disappointed if we didn't reach that price. We already hit all time high this year 2x already so that is already good for us who make profits that time.
2831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: December 08, 2021, 11:31:44 PM
I'm not impressed with Magsayo's last fight although he won by KO but he needed that to win the fight because if it goes to the scorecard, he would have lose that fight.

This fight with  Gary Russell is probably the biggest fight of his career, and though I am not impressed in his previous fight but I would back him to win this fight, not because I think he is better than Russell but because I believe he has a good shot of winning and the odds is very convincing for sure since Magsayo is the underdog.

Recovering from getting knocked and then won by KO is a lot impressive, Not all who got knocked got up and beat the champ.

Quote
Gary Russell Jr. will end the longest layoff of his career January 22.

He had not fought for almost 2 years, I think he really needs to have good substantial training for his comeback. With Magsayo as his contender who recently got his title this year, he will probably come out as a winner.

Let's see how this fight will go, Magsayo is a rising star in boxing and Russell is a champion who will defend his title. I'm sure it's not gonna be easy for Magsayo, but if he will work hard enough, he definitely has a shot here, and the best thing he should do is to win by KO.

For all the marbles, I think this should be a must win for Magsayo. No pressure, but I think if he win in impressive fashion against the much touted American, Magsayo stocks will go up.

Yeah, indeed hard work and training and trust to himself that he can pull a big upset because he will be the underdog here. But he was the weapon which is his right hand and for sure Russell knows that. So Magsayo should rely on his power and make Russell very uncomfortable if he wanted a chance to win.
2832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 08, 2021, 03:52:56 PM
Cavs vs Bulls, no DeRozan (their top scorer) and Ball, I think it will be very difficult for the Bulls to win on the road against a very tough Cavs team.

And I would say I would favour Cavs this time -2.5 to win the game. It might be close in the beginning, but once Cavs find their rhythm, I'm expecting them to lead by double digits and then Bulls somewhat trim it down in the 4th. But in the end, Cavs defense and outside shooting might give them the edge.
2833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 08, 2021, 07:47:17 AM
Blazers are expected to continue struggling as CJ McCollum suffered a lung injury. Recent reports suggests that it's not as serious as what was initially feared but he'll still be out for a few weeks to recover and get back in shape. Bad timing for Blazers management who might be thinking of trading him for Ben Simmons.

That's too bad, I hope that CJ McCollum can recovered quick, yes the Portland TrailBlazers are suffering right now, no Dame time, and now no CJ, I guess it's not that bad to bet against them in every game. Last time they try to get the game very close against the Clippers, but the LA blow them in the 4th quarter and win in double digits.

And so I guess the question of trading CJ and Simmons are not going to push through anymore, And Ben is still unlucky.
2834  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if $70k was Bitcoin ATH for the year? on: December 06, 2021, 02:06:23 AM
Will you be satisfied if 2021  ends with an ATH of $70k for Bitcoin. Will it make you more richer or it wouldn't add any value to your intial capital.
Will you regret you joined the trend late or  would you be glad you bought when the  market did a retracement? Or you are still staring at Bitcoin with some sentiment
Am very satisfied with the ATH at $70k because I was able to sell my holding at profit and waiting to buy more when we get another bottom before end of this month. Whoever is still waiting to see another ATH before this year end may not see that opportunity again with the look of things.

It's good to hear others making good profits from the last all time high which is close to $70k.

But for now I think it's going to be difficult for us to reach that price level, I mean we can't even hold $50k without experiencing any dump. However, we can look at it as a perfect opportunity to buy because it is cheap and at a discount.

And we knows, maybe we can still go $70k right? we just need some time in the next 3 weeks, and hopefully a break out run would happen before we close out this year.
2835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 06, 2021, 01:41:35 AM
Just to enjoy watching 2 games, I bet on the the Hawks vs Hornets -1.5 at half-time, so far it was really very close.

I'm thinking that the Hawks are going to fight it out hard in their homecourt and will not let get a W.

And they are not coming alive in the fourth, taking a 1 point lead. But still a lot of time, 8 minutes left and Hornets are still a very dangerous team unless they continue to play hard nose defense and converted to point very quickly.

I'm into the Raptors -13.5, live betting also, just put the bet on halftime. And they are ahead by 16, with also 8 minutes left.

Unfortunately, the Hawks didn't sustained their lead, actually it went as high as 4 points. But suddenly they started to missed and their defense collapses allowing the Hornets easy basket including a dunk and a lay-up in the last 2 minutes. No heroics from Trae Young.

For the Raptors games, the lead changes from 12-17 points, but in the garbage time, the Wizards were able to cut it down to 12 points, tough luck again.

Anyway, it's just the Rockets vs the Pels games left, so I'm also skipping this one. Probably be back tomorrow with more interesting games.
2836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gervonta Davis vs. Isaac Cruz - December 5 on: December 05, 2021, 02:20:39 PM
We also have have another big fight in the 135 lbs, Haney vs Diaz Jr. So it will be interesting if the winner will face each other.

By the looks of it, Kambosos vs Haney is a go, at least from what we saw on the post-fight interview of Haney and Kambosos.

If Davis wins his fight against Cruz, I think he will still fight a no-namer as usual.

Floyd should let his fighter fight whoever Davis wants and not cherry-pick like what he did to his career.

So it will be Haney vs Kambosos next? weird, but I think Kambosos take this one.

For Davis and if he wins against a no name in Cruz tonight, and if he continues to cherry pick or at least Floyd does for his young protegee, he won't get the respect that he wanted. Sure he was a great champion, but fighting bums won't surely get his name on top even if his records are without a loss so far. And critics won't give him the credit that he deserves.
2837  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will rise or fall. on: December 05, 2021, 12:17:45 PM
I don't think we'll fall much further but I think it'll be much easier to say this around Monday or Tuesday when the market is tested with higher volumes/probably institutions too.

Usually this is the right time to gauge the movement of the market. There's even reports that Monday is a good time to buy bitcoin, but we will have to see. Market though seems to have a good bounce, it was more on the alts and then bitcoin follow suit in the last 24 hours, indication that we might have a break out run that will continue on Monday and hopefully it will spill for the duration fo the week as we are hitting crucial week. We are in December already and it history repeats, we will have a good month before we end this year.
2838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata December 29 on: December 05, 2021, 11:28:27 AM
I think probably it's more of us expecting that we will see GGG the sooner and not next year?

But yeah, in any case for sure this will be push through next year in the first quarter and hopefully by that time the situation about the new covid-19 strain has simmer down a bit and no more affecting boxing and any other sports globally not just in Japan.

And just like others have predicted, GGG will be the favourite still, regardless of the delay in the fight.

I personally want to see GGG fight the sooner but with this covid situation I don't think we can see him fight for the next 3 months because combating this new covid variant will take months IMO so probably this fight could happen at the tail-end of next year and by that time Murata would be the favorite as GGG will be a year older  Grin.

I'm rooting for Murata here even if this fight has not been postponed.

I know that you are a huge fan of underdog so it's understandable that you will be rooting for Murata to make an upset because for sure he will be the underdog.

But maybe GGG has still something inside of him to prove that he is elite in this division. He has been criticized for not moving up in weight and challenge other champions and opt to stay at 160 lbs. But he has been the king of this division for many years and if ever he wins again, this will be added to his legacy to become the best MW of all time.

Bulls are hot, but I will go with the Nets here, Durant and Harden will probably score 30++ each in this game. But its going to be close.
The game was close indeed but the Bulls came out on top. The DeRozan-Lavine duo played well again while it was only KD for the Nets.

Spurs started hot in the first quarter to build a double digit lead but the Warriors are quickly turning it around in the fourth quarter. There's still plenty of time and I think the GSW will win this one.

Yeah, that initial burst of Spurs was enough for them to give them the win although the Warriors had a lot of chance to steal the game from them but they missed a lot of three's in the last minute.

Interesting game as well with the Bulls on hot right now defeating the Nets. Yes, it was very close, but then again, Lavine and DeRozan come up big in this game. Harden though with 14 assists and Aldridge with 20 point with the Nets.

DeRozan 29 + Lavine 31, they continue as the best duo right now.
2840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Rematch - JOSHUA vs USYK II (updated thread) on: December 05, 2021, 10:19:11 AM
Maybe entering the picture and telling Joshua he can train him for the Usyk rematch,

Quote
“I told him from the beginning, I told him to come and I could teach him some pointers. A lot of the time, this is just my take, the same coach you had as an amateur doesn’t always make you a great professional," Mayweather said.

https://www.boxingscene.com/mayweather-open-helping-joshua-prepare-usyk-rematch--162535

Not sure though if this is a good idea, I think Joshua should really get someone that can really train him with a lot of experience. There has been no reports yet who is going to replace his old trainer Rob McCracken.

But I do agree that Joshua strategy will be different in the rematch, he can't just stand there and chase Usyk.
