Nice poster. Toscano is a rising star, too bad he has to play for Warriors tho. He can do big things in a big team.

What do you mean? Toscana is already in a good team, maybe if he became part of the Warriors championship team, then he can go and look for more lucrative contract. But up to now, he needs to play like Jordan Poole does, day in day out, just grinding and helping the team whichever they can to get more wins.

Regarding the dunk, yeah, candidate for dunk of the year. For sure McGee will be on Shaqtin a fool because of that posterized dunk by Toscano-Anderson. As for McGee, lol, just run as if nothing happens, maybe he was used to be dunked on.  Grin
2842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 04, 2021, 04:08:13 PM
I'm intrigue with the Clippers vs Kings game, Clippers -1.5 odds 1.89? Is this a trap or what? Maybe they are in the back to back games and might be tired and although it will be Kings homecourt, I think they can still cover this one if they played the way they beat the Lakers tonight. Of course, it Warriors again are going to play at home with the Spurs so for sure many are going to bet on them to cover the spread with double digits.
It's history. They lost against the Kings last time but that is because PG13 didn't play and now he might be exhausted again that's why the spreads are low. I'd be careful with that as Kings is good at surprises.  Cheesy
Anyway, for the upcoming game, I still have the Warriors -9.5 against the Spurs although they are playing a back to back game.

Good luck everyone!
Same. I am going with the flow again. GSW wants their streak back and they are starting all over again. GSW -8.5 will be enough for me. @1.91.
Will add Dallas Mavericks -5.5 versus the Memphis Grizzlies. It's been a long time since I last watched a Mavs game so I will not miss this one. Good luck.

I love to add the Mavericks as well but they've lost the last in their homecourt against the Pelicans with 16 points. So not sure if they can cover that against a tough team like Memphis Grizzlies.

But I will take GSW anytime of the day specially against the Spurs. If I'm not mistaken San Antonio has it's own mini streak but I doubt that they can continue it against the Warriors specially on how they destroyed the Suns.
2843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: December 04, 2021, 10:59:54 AM
First of the semi's today Croatia v Serbia, second semi tomorrow Russia v Germany.

I think we all see this going to a Serbia v Russia final ...
I don't know what is the hype about Serbia. Yes they have a guaranteed point in Djoković but we also have a guaranteed point in doubles with Mektić/Pavić. Gojo is way down the ranking when compared to Krajinović but this is Davis cup and that is something different. Gojo already proved he is getting better and better as the stakes rise higher and he won both matches in Davis cup so far, one of them was against Sonego who is much better than Krajinović. Krajinović has lost all his Davis cup matches without getting a set. My bet is on Croatia @4.2 since I see this match as max 60:40 in favor of Serbia and that has lots of value for me.

Russia is my first favorite from the begging and I expect them to take the title.

You are right mate, Gojo was the big surprise beating Lajovic in a come from behind fashion.

And as expected, top-ranked Mate Pavic and Nikola Mektic beats Djokovic and partner Filip Krajinovic. First set was close, but the second? nah, forget about it.

So with this defeat, Djokovic closes his calendar not winning the Olympic gold and then the golden slam.
2844  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on sale, will the support continues to hold? on: December 04, 2021, 10:30:10 AM
The market is so astonished and annoying, the occurrence of bitcoin degradation in price is not understandable any longer and any more, emerging the price decreasing from day to day, what we passed through like some years back is happening indirectly again, it assumed that the gravity of people demanding bitcoin is not corresponding positively to the supply, many investors is getting and experiencing negativity into investment of bitcoin right now as the price keep on falling instead of accelerating.

And so there's no more support line as this point because the price continues to go down very hard.

Just like hours ago when I checked the price we are still in the $52k'ish and now I was also astonished to see it going as low as $46k. Hard to explain what's the sentiments of the investors maybe except that majority are on the selling mode.

I'm not sure about the negativity as well, the last bad news we had is the covid-19 strain that might put the market into a precarious situation.

For breaking that far for sure many people are now at fear and think about huge bear market will happen again that's why its expected that many traders right now are selling their stash to stop their losses from certain bad market situation happening right now. Let's hope that this huge crash happening is just for today and tomorrow the price recover since if this crashing will continue we might face the one we afraid to happen and that is a long days of heavy bear market season again.

But it's too early to say that we are in the bear market? There might be some FUD around like this one:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5375333.0

But it's absurd and funny FUD though, in any case, I still believed that this is due to the new Covid-19 variant news. Maybe investors are afraid and chooses to sell right now. But usually this kind of news will be just temporarily and hopefully we will be back at least in the last two weeks of December and somewhat the price could rally to $60k++.
2845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Falling due to FUD (Fear Uncertainty Doubt) ? on: December 04, 2021, 09:57:05 AM
A link to one of those FUD news articles would have been appreciated so we can take a look at those "reasonable" demands. Grin
I thought that the recent drops were somehow related to the new COVID variant that was discovered and which is also affecting the stock market right now.

I had no idea that someone was trying to ban private wallets. Just use the opportunity and increase your holdings with a 20% discount if you believe in bitcoin.

Yeah, me too, I thought the drop was due to the seriousness of the new Covid-19 variant that gripping Europe and Africa and not to these 'you can't hold your private wallet' FUD.

Anyhow, I try to do a search about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoIndia/comments/r7y34v/so_apparently_private_wallets_are_gonna_get_banned/

But still for bitcoin holders, this doesn't make any sense at all.
2846  Economy / Speculation / Re: New all time high record | $66,000 on: December 03, 2021, 07:44:13 PM
Indeed Bitcoin just hit an all-time high a week ago, although after that it experienced a slight decline in price that triggered panic selling. However, the surge in bitcoin prices will continue, even many experts predict that the bitcoin price will reach $100k by the end of 2021. Therefore, let's see how far the bitcoin bullish trend continues. Moreover, the trend of increasing bitcoin prices this year is different from the previous year. More innovation, more regulation, more big companies involved.
now it has reached ATH $68,641.57 - Nov 09, 2021 and possibly in the days ahead before ending November it could be that bitcoin will pass $70K.
and this movement will continue towards the end of 2021, it looks like what you and the experts are talking about prices up to $100K will probably be easily achieved.

we will see in the next few days, if the movement is positive and the correction is not too deep, it is possible that what the experts said could be done earlier by bitcoin. hopefully this good news will encourage investors and institutions to also provide encouragement.

And we are not almost a month now since hitting all time high, but so far the price keeps going down. Last time I checked the price is only $54k.

So it went down in the last 4 weeks and so we are not in doubt that 6 digits which is the prediction at the end of this month could be hit. Everyone is expecting at least $100k, but it was not meant to be as there are factors that contributed to the downturn which we didn't anticipated. So I'm no longer in anticipation of that price so that I won't be disappointed.

Hopefully we still have bright 2022 ahead of us, maybe the first quarter will be friendly and we can still see 6 digits.
2847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Flippening: Will it happen? on: December 03, 2021, 07:19:08 PM
There have been talks about Ethereum "flippening" Bitcoin to become the largest cryptocurrency by market cap. Knowing that ETH has a huge ecosystem of dApps, tokens, and services around it, anything's possible. Yet, what's stopping ETH from replacing Bitcoin is the ever-increasing gas fees. It's much cheaper to transact on the Bitcoin blockchain than on the Ethereum blockchain. Not only that, but BTC is much more secure than ETH itself. If somehow ETH reduced its fees, and increased its security, it would've been the best cryptocurrency in the world.

Do you think "The Flippening" will happen sometime in the future? If not, why? How will the market react after ETH becomes the largest cryptocurrency by market cap? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley

I doubt that it will happen even in the future though,

1. Bitcoin has solid investors, or shall I say maximalist, there's no way that this guys are going to flip to Ethereum
2. Ethereum gas fees are even higher than Bitcoin right now
3. Ethereum has a lot of competitors, if there will be this so called Flippening, it might be on Ethereum losing it's place at the top of altcoin market
4. I don't think the Ethereum gas fees are going to lower down in the future as it is being controlled by miners or validators
2848  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs. Ilunga Makabu on: December 03, 2021, 01:27:43 PM
WBC is giving all the advantage to Canelo, Lol. Makabu vs Mchunu first then they fight each and soften each other for Canelo. And then they will just have 4 months to prepare for Canelo.

And then Canelo can watch how both of them fight and win he see who is the winner, he already has a good strategy in his mind in advance. So I'm seeing Canelo going to win whoever he is going to fight next.

That's expected lol. WBC is Mexico-based and its president, Mauricio Sulaiman is Mexican as well so what can we expect hehe.

Yeah, Canelo always has the luxury of choosing whom to fight and everybody else just wanting to win that Canelo sweepstakes, that would be their very paycheck once Canelo chooses them.

But I like the chance of Makabu here once he disposes of Mchunu because of his size advantage. He may not have that lateral movement but at least he has the puncher's chance.

I agree with you, it is to be expected, after all Sulaiman and Canelo are both Mexicans and they are proud of what Canelo has accomplished so they give them all they want like a baby here, So win win for Canelo and this fight for the belt in cruiserweight will be big in Cinco de Mayo, another sell out crowd for Canelo as he will be going for another Mexican record in their holiday.

He better wins this fight so the fans will not be disappointed, he is moving up in weight like he is just walking in the park, so I'm confident that he will win but I also see the possibility of a big upset, of course, no boxer that is unbeatable, they sometimes make a costly mistake that could result to an L, worst if they get KO.

Right, but I would say that Canelo is more intelligent than that, to get an upset although I would agree that the chance is there. Specially he is the one moving up, so he is not sure of the power of the cruiserweight division and for sure it it very different from middleweight as this guy is almost on the heavyweight side.

So let's see if Canelo wins this fight and what will be his next move, maybe go down again to light heavyweight or stay in the cruiserweight and face the other champions and maybe unify it again.
2849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 03, 2021, 12:24:05 PM
^Yeah and speaking about Golden State Warriors, they will be playing against the Phoenix Suns again tomorrow. This will be fun and this time it will be on the GSW side and they will have the fans cheering for them.
Suns just made a franchise record of 18 winning streaks and this time it is on the brink of being cut off if Steph Curry will wear the hot hands.
The last time they met he only made 12 points and we are not used to that, he usually scores 20-30+ points per game that's why he is on the top of the league in scoring.
I will be putting my bets before the game starts, just want to make sure GSW has the right roster to compete with the strong Suns.

Curry need to put big numbers in this game against the Suns and cut their winning streak. If there is a team that can do that, it will be GSW because of Curry. And now they have a chance to get back at Phoenix at their hometurf, so expect GSW to win big in this game and remain on top of the West and then wait for Klay to comeback and play. It will be a total different GSW, more dangerous if Klay goes back to his old self next year and scoring together with Steph outside. And then they still have a lot of offensive options in Wiggins, who can spot outside and then penetrate. Also, the Suns will be at a disadvantage because Booker is still out with a hamstring injury.
2850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 03, 2021, 11:46:10 AM
I will take the Suns all day, I trust them so much to cover a high spread especially against a team who are struggling this season. On the other hand, they might also not play hard because they have a game next day and that is a gainst the Warriors that they beat few days back.
Agree. I took the -11.5 for the Suns and I think covering that spread will be an easy task. The only unexpected thing that may happen will be in garbage time if the Suns' bench players make a mess.
I am looking for one more bet but I can't decide if I should take the Bulls -2.5 versus the Knicks or the Bucks -4.5 versus the Raptors. Or just take both if it's really difficult to choose.  Grin
Bulls are healthy and had a long rest, Knicks are having trouble with their chemistry. Bucks are also hot with 8 winning streaks.

I guess the line is really a trap, the Suns win but it's just 11 points, maybe the garbage time really messed up the handicap for us.

Good game by the Bulls and the Knicks, Bulls well covered the spread.

Grizzlies and Thunder, I didn't watch the game but I have to double check the score, LOL, 152-79? Maybe that's a record for the biggest win?
2851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can KCS perform like BNB and CRO perform like KCS? on: December 02, 2021, 03:48:56 PM
Is KCS the next BNB? And is CRO maybe the next KCS? What are the differences between these three coins? CRO is not much popular by forum members but KCS is somehow. I wonder why it is like that?

No, it doesn't work that way in crypto, there is no triangle theory here.

The only success we've seen so far is BNB, KCS? haven't check it years already, but it's not even close to BNB right? So how can CRO become the next big thing when you compare it to KCS which didn't succeed if I may say that.

Not only CRO is not popular here, even KCS because forum members usually don't like copy cat projects.
2852  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dream Bitcoin 100k on: December 02, 2021, 10:47:42 AM
is there anyone here who has the fate like me who only dreams of having bitcoin even though on the other people dream of the price touching 100k
everything went wrong, indeed when waiting for the correction to reach the target i was still in doubt then regretted not buying now
It's your fault for not buying when the correction happened, you wouldn't feel this regret if you just have leaped out of faith that bitcoin would go up, you would've doubled your investment to it if you did. Your only wishing which only frustrates you. Remember that there's always risk in investment so why get in to it when you're having doubts?
I think for new investors this is something natural, even old investors often experience it. Doubt is something that is natural in bitcoin investment because investing in bitcoin is much different from other investments such as gold or land. therefore if you want to invest in bitcoin you need a strong mentality and can control emotions well.

True and experience is the best teacher here, and I would say that there is also a learning curve because it's not everyday that you will make money if you are a trader, sometimes you really need to take a L.

The most important thing is that you learn you to control your emotions and don't be greedy, take profits from time to time. But as far as dreaming to $100k, well why not, I don't think though that it is reachable at the end of 2021. Maybe we should look forward in 2022 and be positive that it can be achieved.
2853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 02, 2021, 10:18:43 AM
What do you think of Suns vs Detroit tomorrow game?

I wanted to put a good amount of money on Suns, although they will be without Booker, but they are going to face a lowly but dangerous Detroit.

The line is open -12.5 Suns, you do guys think they can cover this one or this is a trap since Booker is out?
2854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata December 29 on: December 02, 2021, 08:23:35 AM
Currently, the poll in this thread has favored GGG to 23 votes and zero votes for Murata. Indeed, GGG is really the crowd favorite wherever I read about this match.
According to their record GGG has the experience and knockout advantage compared to Murata. GGG's record is 41-1 (36 KOs) while Murata's record is 16-2 (13 KOs). Both their KO rate have frankly small gaps, 88% and 81% respectively. So that leaves GGG to have the upper hand in this fight but he will have to endure and overcome the challenge of fighting the opponent in his own country where Murata is viewed as hero and a gold medalist in boxing during the olympics.
GGG has more experience than Murata. He is a great boxer and I like to see his precise punching again although there might be difference now because of his age compared to his performance few years ago, but I believe he still have the power to win.

Yes, that one thing we need to look at his fight, whether GGG at 40 has still the same punching power because he can get old overnight. Obviously, he has the experience here and face a lot of boxers, great one than Murata.

On the other side, Murata is younger and a tough fighter as well but it seems he is lacking on defensive skills based on my observation in his previous fights. Anyway since it will be held on Japan, certainly he will have a great support from his countrymen.

Murata is also a champion, although he didn't have the caliber of fighters that GGG face, still he has some in his arsenal that can be pull an upset. Specially that this fight will be held on his home country, he will simply not going to get down that easy and will fight to get a win as well.
2855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Ioka Dec 31 on: December 02, 2021, 07:53:52 AM
One thing that comes to my mind is the weather factor, Japan by December is very cold and Ancajas should acclimatised himself otherwise it might affect him in this fight as Pinoys are not used to a very cold weather.

Good catch right there. Extremely cold weather tends to weaken the body of a person who has used to be on a torrid weather.
However, Ancajas might already be in a place where it's close as cold as the winter in Japan. He might have adapted into different kinds of weather especially that he's constantly flying from 1 country to another whenever he has a fight.

Moreover, body conditioning will be they key to eliminate that factor, keep the sweat coming once he steps foot on the ring.

Yeah, team Ancajas should come to Japan at least two week for him to really be familiar with the weather because for sure it will be snowing in Japan and the Philippines doesn't have that one in their calendar. So get early in Japan then continue his training under this weather so that once the actual fight, there will be no more adjustment in the coldness of Japan as his body are used to it already.
2856  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin makes new ATH. More ATHs to come shortly. on: December 01, 2021, 10:43:18 PM
Op, don't believe in S2F too much because the mt gox story is not over yet and they will release the coins any time (can do that even this month) and the fear can clearly be felt after seeing the market shaken and btc under 60k. I don't say that it will not recover and make a new ath, but not in December 2021 according to my thinking. On other hand, I see money flowing back into alts and they are doing better than btc, so don't stick to btc at times when you know you can make better gains with other options.

But also the effects of the new covid-19 strain which really put a dent to all financial markets around the world. Maybe the critics of S2F modelling are now mocking it because we are far from it's prediction of 6 digits at the end of the year, maybe because it didn't take into account this kind of events (mt. Gox and then Omicron strain). But it is what is it, bitcoin is very volatile but it's good if we are going to end around $60k-$70k at least.
2857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: December 01, 2021, 10:06:59 PM
Butler has 33-2 record, maybe his fight highlights are not so impressive but he has the capacity to beat Casimero.
His 2 losses are coming from Emmanuel Rodriguez and Zolani Tete, and he has never lose a single fight since 2018 (after his loss to Emmanuel Rodriguez)

I'm excited now knowing that the fight is less than 2 weeks from now.
Hopefully, free live streaming will be shared.

Paul Butler's 33-2 record is impressive but the problem for him is the quality of opponents he had faced. Only Emmanuel Rodriguez and Solane Tete are popular (at least to the boxing world) and he losses to both of them. While Casimero has fought battles all over the world and never loses one, this might be his advantage over Butler IMO.

Some bookies have already the odds, Casimero 1.03, Butler 9.40.
A very huge underdog, I will be waiting for more options as there will be some in the next few days before the fight.

Wow, that huge odds for Butler to begin with and it seems bookies are not giving him a chance to win against Casimero.

But who wouldn't? Casimero has been tearing this division since he got the belt and this is just a mandatory fight so the disparity in the odds. But yeah, it's better to wait for other betting options to open so that we will have a selection specially to choose a better odds for this fight.
2858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 01, 2021, 07:18:15 AM
17 straight wins (Suns). What an important and expressive number.
I hope the Suns can maintain that performance throughout the regular season.

But I believe there were some important factors in this game.
Curry and some GSW players didn't play very well and scored few points, while several Phoenix players scored and helped the team

Yup, as others have said, it was a disappointment night for Steph Curry. We are expecting him to really play good in this game because everything is on the line here. But it was his night and then the Suns has played a terrific defense as well to give them credit for that. I'm not sure when is the next game between the two, but the Warriors wanted to avenge that lost and Curry will redeem himself next time in their home court. Besides, the Phoenix Suns is the favourite to win here, but maybe some of us bet on Warriors to win the handicap at least.
2859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lomachenko vs Commey - December 11 on: December 01, 2021, 05:45:28 AM
Chances on this match is Loma will win and Commey will just be a stepping stone to get Loma's revenge against Lopez. We will see it soon!
Loma will likely win this fight, but I guess it's not necessary for Loma to take his revenge against Lopez due to the following reasons.

1. Lopez is not the champion now, he lose against Kambasos Jr. which we call a major upset.
2. Lopez is planning to move up, so bye-bye Loma.

There is still that element of revenge of the mind of Loma against Lopez and he is still fuel by this one that's why he came back fight Nakatani knock him out and then going after Commey, a ex-champion. In the amateurs, Loma only lost once if I'm not mistaken, and he avenge his only lost and beat the guy the second time. So most likely this is his mindset to chase Lopez last time to get his revenge win.
2860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microstrategy Buy more Bitcoin on: December 01, 2021, 04:58:02 AM
Let's be real here, some day Bitcoin will enter a bear market similar to the crypto winter of 2018, and Microstrategy together with Nayib Bukele will look stupid for buying the dip that keeps dipping and dipping. Buying Bitcoin every single time it falls is really not the smartest strategy, the best strategy is to buy a lot of coins at the bottom of bear market and sell them and the height of bull market.
No, I don't think they will regret it and will look stupid at all. If you notice the average bought price of Bitcoin that is currently held by Microstrategy then you will realize why am I saying that. On the other hand, they aren't like me and you. They could buy in every dip which will help them recover previously bought coin prices quickly. Do you think they are just holding? At least I am not believing them. They announce once they bought, but they will never announce upon selling. Whales always gainer because they could sell it for $70K and perhaps bought it in the $50K zone. Still, will you call them stupid? If they were stupid they shouldn't become a multi-billionaire.

I think they are still going to be in profits no matter what. I think the bear market is still far though, just imagine if the price hits $150k, just for the sake of argument and then goes down 50%-60% during a bear market, everyone is still going to make some profits if you bought in <$50k zone. So still win-win situation for this whales. Yeah, they might sold at sometime to make some profits, who doesn't?
