Some land-based casinos outside Manila were already allowed to resume operation. There are Casinos in Pampanga that have been allowed to operate. Manila might open sooner as PAGCOR is only waiting for IATF. GCQ in Metro Manila and other areas are expected to end by June 30, 2020. If that won't be extended again, all land-based casinos could be opened by next month.

~ I don't know you guys but I am a bit bothered to the imposition of levying tax on online businesses plus nag aalala din ako kung possible din ba na mapatawan ng tax yung mga high payee signature campaign participants especially to those people whose estimated earnings are above ₱ 6,000 per week. Keep in mind na yung mga online businesses na may ₱ 250,000 above per year can be subjected to the collection of tax by legal authorities.
The 250K treshold applies to individuals as well so yes it's possible. You have to keep in mind though that the above 250K refers to taxable net income. Ibig sabihin, gross revenue/income less allowed deductible expenses. Let's use your example of 6K/week (Approx. Tax to be paid = 0
Tax to be paid = 8K for 1 year (667/mo or 167/week)
Maybe this is just me but I won't be bothered paying 167 pesos if I am earning 6K on a weekly basis. Sumagi lang sa isip ko kasi we are included in the bracket of advertising from an online channel (bitcointalk) though naisip ko din na possible na hindi tayo maapektuhan ng tax kasi most of us are now aware of using SPV (Simple Payment Verification)and/or Non-Custodial bitcoin wallet whereas it can dramatically increase your privacy in terms of making a transaction lalo na kung ang user eh may alam sa basic functionalities like Coin Control. Plus, the use of bitcoin mixer can drastically improve the anonymity of every bitcoin transaction, dagdag mo pa kung gagamit ka ng different OS such as Tails or Linux equipped with TOR or hardened Firefox browser.
Medyo exaggerated lang yung sa privacy part pero important naman yan kung privacy conscious individual kayo when it comes to your bitcoin transaction. Any thoughts?
But then again, if you use centralized platforms that requires KYC to convert crypto to fiat, wala din silbi ang mga privacy/anonymity tools.
I don't think they can tax all those participants of Signature campaign since this is a decentralized market and its hard for BIR to collect our datas (matrabaho ito). If the digital ads will be taxed, then I'm sure hinde tayo kasama doon so wag muna magpanic.
General rule is lahat ng kinikita natin ay subject to tax.
~ There is no need to worry, though the general rule is to pay taxes when you earn, but if you can hide it, then why pay.
Tax evasion though.

So far lumalabas na wala silang kinalaman.
A post on Facebook claims that a former Assistant Secretary of DOTR, Mark Tolentino, is the Trustee of Wirecard dito sa Pinas. It's the same ASEC who was fired by PRRD for alleged corruption. I'm still looking for other sources para ma-verify na Trustee nga siya. CNN also reported na may sinibak na marketing officer sa BDO for allegedly fabricating a bank certificate. The plot thickens.

It's been a while since I last checked any news on EPL and it looks like a lot has changed since then. What used to be a league with a tight title race with its "big four" is now a one horse race. Granted there are 9 games left, I don't expect Liverpool to lose that many matches and Man City to will all of theirs. It's nice to see Leicester up there again but it's funny to see Wolves and Sheffield United competing against Checlsea, Man United, Spurs, and Arsenal for that 4th spot. I was used to seeing them (Wolves/Sheffield) battle for survival.
~ Mourinho was defeated by Lampard and Chelsea and I am curious to see how Mourinho will help Spurs win the clash against Man Utd. and Ole. Pogba is back and it will be a very exciting match for Mourinho. He left Old Trafford with not many happy memory, especially the drama with Pogba. Ole after his 2 years in Old Trafford has not yet built up a good team enough but he is more lucky than Mourinho from the supports of director for him.
Mou will most likely get his "revenge" by using his trademark strategy (park the bus) to frustrate Man U players and counter-attack.

We are not involved in the Wirecard affairs. Wirecard is not a client. We have no relationship with them. BDO was used and is not party to the issue, ” said BDO president Nestor V. Tan in a statement.
“The document claiming the existence of a Wircard account with BDO is a falsified document and carries forged signatures of bank officers. The matter has already been reported to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, ” Tan added BPI is adamant it has no business relationship with Wirecard.
“Their external auditor (Ernst and Young) presented to us a document that claimed that they are a client. We have determined that the document is spurious,” said BPI in a statement.
“We continue to investigate this matter,” it added.
Wirecard, on the other hand, is also claiming na nabiktima din sila ng fraud. They are implying na someone has fooled them all and stolen the $2.1 Billion funds. While I personally doubt that is the case, hintayin na lang natin ang resulta ng further investigations. Additional notes:- Wirecard also offers services involving cryptocurrency payments. Check if isa kayo sa gumagamit ng Tenx, TON labs, Crypto.com, Wirex
- This is not the firs time na nadawit ang Wirecard at kanilang officers for fraud

I voted for centralized exchange although I think I started out with some faucets too but I was unable to withdraw them so they don't count.
At the time, I only knew of coinsph (a custodial wallet that also allows users to convert fiat to crypto) as the platform to buy bitcoin in our country. Honestly, I didn't even know what a decentralized exchange is when I was a newbie. My first encounter with DEX was etherdelta which we all knew it's limited to ethereum.
To this day, I think CEX remains the first exchange newbies tend to buy bitcoin from. Of course we can argue that a lot of things/developments has happened since then but I believe most newbies still prefer convenience over anything else.

~ Of course he said that. The ubiquitousness of free and open source software proves that he is wrong. I used Electrum about 10 minutes ago. What revenue streams does it have? Also, surely the fact that he has just admitted that Brave is completely dependent on funding from companies like Binance is a huge red flag? Anything Binance want - more imbedded code, unique tracking, user data - they can strong arm Brave in to implementing with he tthreat of removing their funding if they don't comply.
Not sure if Electrum is the right comparison. I brought up Firefox browser because it is also an open source project and I thought it was self-funded (and with help from donors) all this time. I wonder what would happen to them if Google backs out of the deal (or threaten to)? What I'm trying to say is he could be right that no browser will survive for a very long time if it doesn't have any type of revenue stream unless there are always kind souls who would keep on donating to cover up the cost/s.
~ as I'm expecting this one to be a bit more clunky due to probably lack of development.
Work just started and yeah, everyone doesn't expect it to be smooth right away.
I wanted to try this browser after another user mentioned it on another thread. Unfortunately, they don't provide installer since they're still in migration process and i don't want compile it from source code.
Same here. Good for the team behind this fork, but browser forks tend to go unnoticed by the majority of ppl and end up being these obscure web browsers that almost no one uses. Examples of this are Waterfox, Pale Moon, Basilisk...these are Firefox forks so maybe things will be different with Braver?
Still, either they implement cool features (even cooler if they're privacy features that actually work) or they risk joining the long list of obscure and forgotten "privacy focused" web browsers like IceCat, Iridium, Comodo Dragon, etc...
Well, it depends on the user's experience I guess. Braver came out because of Brave's actions. I don't know if I am correct on this one but I think it's the same case with Firefox and Brave. They became popular because Google f*cked its user's privacy. Of course Brave is not as popular as Chrome but you get the point...right?
I just read that Braver will continue to rely on Brave's development and updates. They'll just keep on merging future updates after stripping adwares. That would mean less cost for them. I guess that could work.

Not 100% related sa OP.
Rainy season na mga kabayan and, as we all know, the economy is still recovering after the 2-month lockdown.

Update: Braver is now Bold browser. Read explanations hereFor those who haven't heard of it yet, it's a fork of the Brave browser. If you are wondering why there's a sudden fork, read New stupid/greedy move from Brave BrowserBraver Bold devs plan to keep the privacy features of Brave (built-in ad blocker, Tor, WebTorrent) and removing revenue generating features such as adware, token (BAT), sponsored images, Binance ad, and referral links. I'm also curious how this would work. Brave CEO already said that the fork won't work without the revenue streams. Clunk UX sounds like bugs to fix. Please file. But they want to drop several major revenue legs. That leaves nothing but donations for funding. Won't work. He also revealed that Firefox was able to survive because of the deals it had with Google: I'm a founder of http://mozilla.org, pulled Mozilla out of AOL, incubated & launched Firefox, had first contact from Google for the 2004 search deal that made Firefox viable via an affiliate code in default UX. Not replicable, forks don't inherit. Open source was not enough. I was there, I'm telling you straight — ask around. Being a non-profit was not the basis for our survival & growth, the Google search deal was. By mid-2004, we'd used most of the AOL seed funding, only IBM + a few bigs paid for TAB membership. We were going down without Google. I'm still using brave with disabled ads/refs as Firefox crashes on my device from time to time. I'm personally looking forward to using Braver but it seems like developers will have a tough time here unless they get enough funding. Any developers here who might have an idea how much it would cost to run this?

I'm not familiar with these two young fighters but watched some of their previous fights. Joshua appears to be the more skillful & faster fighter of the two with decent power. Both have identical records but judging from their previous opponents, it seems Greer has the tougher competition. Mike Plania, on the other hand, has solid power behind his punches. That's probably where his confidence is coming from every time he fights. I feel the fight is going to end up with a KO. Let's see who gets to say "night night" after the match. ~ Now bitcoin is not money at all because of fees and velocity.
Regardless of the fee and confirmation time, it is a fact that bitcoin is used as a medium of exchange. See 160 Companies that Accept Bitcoin (updated June 2020) No ideas how to correct this excepting lightning, which is close to fail.
LN is just one of the solutions. I'd rather wait for someone more knowledgeable to discuss this with you. And bitcoin is actually controlled by centralised agents.
Who are you referring to? Whales? Miners? Despite some people holding large bags of BTC, it's still a free market. Anybody can buy from any one. No restrictions whatsoever. It's also true that there are big miners around but nobody (other than the government) is stopping anyone from mining. All we have - the moon idea. I do not understand your optimism guys but will be glad if I mistake
All cryptocurrencies are speculative in nature at the moment but none of them is as secure as bitcoin.

guys, in bitcoin literally nothing happens if we compare with defi on ethereum. User experience and possibilities there (lending, dexes, pools and so on) are so far ahead.
This is a bad comparison. Defi are projects on top of the ethereum blockchain and there's no smart contract on the bitcoin blockchain. If you want to compare, check the activities on github ( bitcoin / ethereum). I hate to make a comparison but between the two, it seems development on the ethereum blockchain is slower. Just look at how long it's taking to finalize ethereum 2.0 IIRC, they started working on it around 2018. Meanwhile, two major developments on the bitcoin blockchain are underway (Schnorr signature and Taproot). They could be deployed this year or next year.

Youtube giveaway scams was a hot topic here not too long ago (search in beginners & scam/scam accusation sections). There were ethereum, ripple, and other major altcoin fake giveaways too. Don't be surprised if you see more in the future including twitter and facebook.
That 1amazon deposit could be fake. The transaction history makes me think that the address also belongs to the scammer/s.

Some may disagree, but if you mention the word Bitcoin somewhere outside this forum, those who have heard something about it will probably have some bad associations that will be associated with various financial frauds, ransomware, the term fake money or even the claim that Bitcoin is responsible for climate change (due to mining).
An online friend recently asked me if I know bitcoin and I said yes. He then asked me if I joined bitcoin and I was like wuut! I laughed at the other things he said after that (he was talking about some investment scheme) but I still ended up explaining to him that bitcoin not a company and that he doesn't have to join any group and invite people to earn. I hope he was able to learn from our discussion. It's a fact that some ignorant/uneducated people are quickly drawn to quick income and there are those who takes advantage of that using bitcoin's popularity.
~ People tend to remember the bad stuff and forget the good. Effect of too much TV/Media/Social Media I guess.

~ I get your point loud and clear. But then the issue is too broad and unjust. Unjust in a way na finofocus nilang hingan ng tax ang small businesses while the big ones still have millions of unpaid taxes. Yes, im pertaining to the POGOs run by the Chineses na siyang hindi padin bayad sa BIR.
Tama ka naman, a law is a law and dapat sumunod lahat ng businesses rito, no matter what the platform and what media you use for your business. But then the bottom line is why wouldn't they focus on implementing a strong rule with regards to bigger companies and businesses, in which in fact they CAN postponed their payment in taxes.
~ After reading the article, masasabi mong sobrang unjust and unfair ng bagong memorandum. Those businesses haven't still paid their full taxes for numerous months from now. Yes, napupunta sa korte and sa hearing, but the investigation was too slow yet the implementation to tax small businesses can happen in less than a month?
Would the timely collection of full taxes from these POGOs and speedy resolution of tax cases make the BIR memorandum requiring online sellers to register fair and just? The way I see it, this memorandum will remain unjust and unfair to online sellers who doesn't want to register and possibly pay taxes for whatever reason. Finding fault over the implementation of tax laws in one industry doesn't excuse others from following the same law either. Maraming opinions makikita online pero wala ako nabasa na actually challenging the basis of the memorandum which is Section 236 of the Tax Code; Quoting Section A only: (A) Requirements. - Every person subject to any internal revenue tax shall register once with the appropriate Revenue District Officer:
(1) Within ten (10) days from date of employment, or
(2) On or before the commencement of business,or
(3) Before payment of any tax due, or
(4) Upon filing of a return, statement or declaration as required in this Code.
The registration shall contain the taxpayer's name, style, place of residence, business and such other information as may be required by the Commissioner in the form prescribed therefor.
A person maintaining a head office, branch or facility shall register with the Revenue District Officer having jurisdiction over the head office, brand or facility. For purposes of this Section, the term 'facility' may include but not be limited to sales outlets, places of production, warehouses or storage places. (Note that "subject to any internal revenue tax" doesn't mean na automatic magbabayad dahil pwedeng exempt depende sa taxable income niya.)

I read a bit about Schnorr signatures and Taproot. I don't completely understand all the technical details but I know these improvements increases the network capacity, transaction privacy, and also bitcoin fungibility. Which also means lower fees and faster confirmation once they're implemented.
Although there's no timetable yet, it's something to look forward to this 2020 or next year.
Not that it matters but I'm a bit surprised that these BIPs doesn't have the same attention/noise segwit and lightning network received in the past.
